Na today? But he was once a senator, and his wife is too. So, after enjoying all the money and privileges accruing from being a senator, he's now calling for it to be scrapped. Why didn't he say this when he was in the senate? Abeg make I hear word |
naijababe: YOUWIN, SURE-P and whatever else. It's IBB all over, stupid slogans that enable some obese men and women to corner more of the national cake for their personal use.But people are already benefiting from the SURE programme. There was even a second batch for women only. Soft loans are actually being given to people to set up businesses. It is not a story at all, people are really benefiting. |
Omo, you go hear "expedite action" Some governors and LG Chairmen would now quickly embark on projects to be projected to the people too. |
Thanks a lot |
He should consider empowering youths and women. Life is not all about aluta aluta |

It's good like that. Nigerians too like story. Who knows, the visitors may be going there to take photos of her to post online. Even if they don't do so considering their calibre, their aids/orderlies may do so. Anybody that wants to see her should wait for her to recover first and come back to the country. Get well soon Mama Africa |

So You Think Nigeria is Very Corrupt? Read This Story from the World’s Most “Corruption-free Country” New Zealand remains the most corruption-free country in the world in the latest Corruptions Perceptions Index (CPI), with Nigeria wallowing somewhere around number 143 in the world. But the following story shows that not all that glitters is gold. Sometime in April 2009, when Hui “Leo” Gao’s bank mistakenly deposited about $8.2 million USD into his business account, the New Zealander did the following: He siphoned close to $6.8 million from his business account to personal accounts in his name and in his parents’ accounts. He also transferred more than $347,000 to casino accounts in Macau. He then fled New Zealand. His then-girlfriend, who gave birth to their son while on the run, followed four days later and opened a “player’s account” at the casino with her passport. Later, another $2.2 million was funneled to the same casino, but this time under Gao’s father’s name, Alex Wang. Gao was arrested in September, 2011 when he tried to cross from mainland China to Hong Kong. Of course, he didn’t oppose being extradited, and was returned to New Zealand in late December. Being from a corruption-free country, and a “honest” person, Gao pleaded guilty to theft charges in June, and at his sentencing, his lawyer, Ron Mansfield, told the court his client could not resist the temptation placed in front of him by human error. Gao has been sentenced to five years in prison. One would wonder what befell of Gao’s family members, who were all accomplices – either willingly or unwillingly – in the crime. Or perhaps they are not New Zealanders? A lot of people talk about how Nigerians are corrupt – both the leaders and the followers. But, when Durojaiye Adeyemi Job, a polytechnic student, checked his account balance sometime in October, 2010, and found that it had been mistakenly credited with N9.3 billion, he didn’t withdraw a substantial amount and abscond. Also, when Umeh Usuah, an Abuja taxi cab driver found about N18 million misplaced in his car, he did not run away with it. And his case is certainly not the first; there was the case of Muibi Sonubi, another taxi driver decades ago. There are other more recent stories – the cleaner at the Muritala Mohammed International Airport who found and returned about 7 million naira; there is also another story of a hotel laundryman, and the list goes on. Yes these are just a few cases. But Nigeria is supposed to be one of the most corrupt countries in the world while New Zealand is supposed to be the corruption-free country! http://www.informationnigeria.org/2012/08/so-you-think-nigeria-is-very-corrupt-read-this-story-from-the-worlds-most-corruption-free-country-2.html |
EXPOSED! “Osama Bin Laden Was Unarmed And Already Dead When We Bursted Into His Bedroom” – Retired Navy SEAL Who Was Part Of Team That Saw The Terror Leader Die Contrary to various media outlets report that Osama bin Laden was armed and showed no intention of giving up without a fight, a blow-by-blow account of what transpired in the early morning hours of May 2, 2011 has been revealed in a soon to be released book. The book; No Easy Day: The Firsthand Account of the Mission That Killed Osama bin Laden, was written anonymously under the name Mark Owen, who was one of the SEAL Team Six members who saw the terror leader die in May 2011. Art Cover: Book Scheduled For Release On September 4 A copy of the book, obtained by The Huffington Post, says that the mission was quite unlike the popular version of what went on at the house in Abbottabad. Owen wrote that a member of the elite squad saw the terror leader as he ducked into his bedroom, and the soldiers, who were climbing stairs to the third floor, followed. He said: ‘We were less than five steps from getting to the top when I heard suppressed shots. BOP. BOP. I couldn’t tell from my position if the rounds hit the target or not. The man disappeared into the dark room.’ While Owen writes that as bin Laden lay dying, he and another commando ‘trained our lasers on his chest and fired several rounds. The bullets tore into him, slamming his body into the floor until he was motionless.’ The book described bin Laden as wearing a white t-shirt, loose-fitting tan pants and a tunic. While photographing the terror leader’s body, two guns were found in the room, but neither was loaded The book was originally slated to hit book stores on September 11 but will now come out seven days earlier Meanwhile, it has already stirred a considerable amount of controversy as it was revealed that the Pentagon, the CIA, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, and even the White House appeared to have no idea that the book was being written. The autobiography may also be heading to the big screen, as it was revealed on Sunday that director Steven Spielberg met with the retired commando to discuss making a movie about his experience. http://www.informationnigeria.org/2012/08/exposed-osama-bin-laden-was-unarmed-and-already-dead-when-we-bursted-into-his-bedroom-retired-navy-seal-who-was-part-of-team-that-saw-the-terror-leader-die.html |

This is the foundation of good intelligence. Citizens must lead the way to whistle-blow on suspicious activities before law enforcement can proactively forestall the criminality that seems to add an aura of invincibility of boko haram. Do you agree? The Nigerian Army in Kaduna on Saturday announced the arrest of a suspected member of a terror group after raiding an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) factory in the city. The Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, 1 Div. Kaduna, Col. Sani Usman, who made the announcement, said security agents discovered the factory along Abuja Road, Rigasa, Kaduna, on Friday after one of the devices exploded. “I wish to confirm that on receipt of information and distress call from some good Samaritans at about 2.21 a.m. on Friday, Aug 3; our troops moved to Taro-taro by Abuja Road in Rigasa. “We discovered an Improvised Explosive Device factory where suspected terrorists were in the process of coupling the IEDs and we detonated some. “The factory was cordoned and searched and the following items were recovered: IEDs at various stages of development, cans of 33ccl, a sack containing 33ccl, empty cans and two IEDs packed in fire extinguisher tubes as well as timing devices,” he said. Usman said the troops arrested one suspect, while others escaped, shot and wounded two residents in the area. He said the factory had been demolished and advised property owners to be wary of their tenants. The assistant director appealed to the public to volunteer information on suspicious movements of people to security agents.(NAN) Source: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2012/08/army-discovers-ied-factory-arrest-1-in-kaduna/ |
The best thing to do is to support the government of the day with suggestions, corrections, proposals and constructive criticisms. These approachs always work, heating up the polity with threats isn't the best most times. It pays to be patriotic |
pDude: As if they were ever going to impeach him in the first place.I WONDER O! |
The threat by the House of Representatives to impeach President Goodluck Jonathan over “poor” budget implementation may fizzle out after all. Findings indicate that the lawmakers are not keen on removing the President. They, however, insist that he “must” execute all the constituency projects of lawmakers built into the 2012 Appropriation Act. This has been identified as “the real bone of contention between the executive and the legislative house.” The House had on July 19 asked Jonathan to achieve 100 per cent budget implementation by Sept. 18 or face impeachment proceedings. Findings by SATURDAY PUNCH showed that the threat was intended to be a “wake-up call” on the President and not that the lawmakers truly planned to remove him. Investigations showed that 24 hours after the lawmakers gave the impeachment warning on July 19, some key figures in the House actually held a dinner with Jonathan at Aso Rock, Abuja. During the dinner, the delegation were said to have discussed “eyeball-to-eyeball” with Jonathan, with both sides agreeing to work together. Findings showed that the lawmakers insisted that their constituency projects were not negotiable. This followed a breakdown of the projects in the budget, which allegedly indicated that some ministers had more projects than members of the National Assembly in their constituencies. Funding for projects was also discovered to have been “skewed in favour of the projects initiated by the appointees of government, as against those put in the budget by the elected representatives of the people.” Members at the session got a commitment from the President to direct the Finance Minister, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, to release funds for a “speedy implementation” of all projects in a bid to douse the tension between the House and Jonathan. Following the session with Jonathan, heads of Ministries, Departments and Agencies reporting to the various House committees had told members that they “received more money in the week after the impeachment threat than the months preceding the intervention by the lawmakers.” SATURDAY PUNCH gathered that the House issued the impeachment threat out of “frustration by members, who had come under pressure from their constituencies over lack of infrastructure.” Investigations showed that while it was not the desire of members to remove Jonathan, they had resolved to “remind him that if all entreaties fail, we have a last resort: he can be impeached.” A key figure in the House spoke more on the grouse of lawmakers, “Nobody is interested in impeaching Mr. President, despite the fact that as individuals, some people don’t like him.” “We won’t go to that extent (impeachment). Of what benefit will it be to anybody to impeach the President and create more problems in the land?" |

Similarly, a pro-Biafra group, Biafra Zionist Movement, BZM, has announced that it had commenced the process to launch the struggle for a state of Biafra with the international community, saying that the formal declaration of the new Biafra Republic is slated for 5 November, this year.: Haba! It has not gotten to this stage yet. I think Igbo xtians in d northeast shd temporarily relocate back to their homes for now till this "BH" issue is resolved. Breaking up is not the best option |
