Politics / Re: Policemen Claim NSCDC Officials Provoked Them Into KIlling by NiceKid2(f): 10:29am On Mar 28, 2013
Story story...Story
The Civil Defence I know can never do all these things narrated in this Super Story, rather, we all know what the Police can do.

As the police officers were approaching the scene, they heard sounds of “serious gun firing” near the pipeline area; and Mr. Gabriel instructed his men to head towards the direction.”

Hahahahaha! Na today? Which Nigerian Policeman will hear serious gun firing and "head towards the direction", instead of picking race and running 4-40? Who are you trying to deceive? Abegi!!!

LMAO! How would one expect the government to buy guns and self-defence weapons and distribute to people? Tell me where it is done. I think the most appropriate thing for the Igbos in the North should do for now is to briefly relocate to calmer parts of the country in d meantime, till this Boko Haram and Ansarul issue ends.

NoContract: We shall see... (Optimistic)

In the meantime, light no dey our area. Na 50 Naira I take go charge my phone take browse Nairaland.

and lest I forget, How does these edifices affect the life of the common Lacasera or Gala seller on the pot-holled streets of Nigeria. Shey na after all the days sweat he go carry his money go watch movies for cinema (with dirt), or he go go do shopping for mall or he go airport go fly?

Wealth circulating within the wealthy.

Nigerians really know how to flenjo (the rich ones, tho') and decieve the others. ITS INBORN.

This is a far cry from what the average Nigerian (89% of the populace) wants!!!

Obviously, there are projects among what the OP has just shown us here which would affect the lives of the masses. Of course, they would travel by the roads and railways being constructed; They would use water supplied by the water plants; They would read in the Library to update their knowledge and pass exams; They would need the recreational centers to unwind during festivities, etc. Its not only the rich that go to recreational centers or amusement parks, I guess it's only poverty mentality that make people remain at home and claim that enjoyment is for the high and mighty alone. I've seen some middle-class and low-class people at such centers. They mix up, make friends, get rid of the poverty mentality and get psychologically rejunenated.

outrage: all this has been around before he dreamt of becoming president.. He's just around when it got to be completed. That's if they are.
You can't tell me GEJ gave contract for that aviation school, its obviously has been under construction for years. So go sidon joh, all this paid activists.

Even if he was not the one that gave the contract, is it not good that he deemed it fit to continue the project and finish it.
So because he was not the one that gave the contracts, he should allow the projects to die without being completed?
I thought we Nigerians used to condemn politicians who abandon projects that their predecessors started.

Music/Radio / Lyrics Of Timi Dakolo's "Great Nation" (Beautiful Anthem For Our Dear Country) by NiceKid2(f): 4:40pm On Jan 04, 2013
Here is TIMI DAKOLO's "GREAT NATION" LYRICS (beautiful anthem indeed. Should be Nigeria's second or alternative National Anthem)

Here we stand as a people
With one song: with one voice
We're a nation: undivided and poised
We will take our stand: and build our land
With faith: to defend what we love

Here we are as a people
With one heart: for one cause
We're determined: to rebuild and restore
Where freedom reigns: and truth prevails
A land where there's hope for us all (2x)

(Chorus)
We're all we have, we'll defend our land
We believe in this nation, and we know we'll get there
We're all we have, we'll defend our land
We believe in Nigeria and the promise she holds
And that one day we'll shine like the sun
We're a great nation

Though we are many people
Different tribes: different tongues
We're united in our strength and resolve
To uphold the honour of our land
And for generations to come

(Chorus)
We're all we have, we'll defend our land
We believe in this nation, and we know we'll get there
We're all we have, we'll defend our land
We believe in Nigeria and the promise she holds
And that one day we'll shine like the sun
We’re a great nation

Say No to Sabotage! Anybody that feels cheated in PHCN bills can go for the alternative pre-paid cards, whereby you buy how many units you want to use and use it. When it gets finished, you know that you have used it up. just like your Recharge cards for your phone calls
Politics / Re: We Ruled Nigeria For 36 Years With Nothing To Show – Northern Brotherhood by NiceKid2(f): 3:03pm On Oct 19, 2012
According to a visibly angry Danmaliki, the northerners had ruled the country for over 36 years with nothing to be proud of, stressing that the major problems of the region were lack of vision and selfish interest of Northern leaders
I'm telling you! Can you imagine, out of the 52years of post-independence rule in Nigeria, the North has held power for a greater part. Yet mos northern states are being ravaged by poverty. Most northern politicians are only concerned with enriching themselves and stacking up wealth for their generations yet unborn. They selfishly don't have the affairs of the masses at heart, which is rather unfortunate
Politics / Re: Pls Stop Paying Nepa Bills by NiceKid2(f): 2:58pm On Oct 19, 2012
gadgethead: This is a passionate plea to all Nigerians to carry out a non violent protest against the Power 'Holding' Company of Nigeria' by stop paying our electricity bills until there is a major improvement in the power sector.

* Many Nigerians lose a bulk of their hard earned earnings buying fuel to run expensive generators, yet we pay monthly service charge/bills we electricity we hardly seeP
* If every Nigerian affected by 'NEPA' stopped paying their bills, PHCN stands to lose millions of Naira in revenue every day and this will make them think twice*
* Most Nigerians are already used to little or no electricity for months, so this action will have minimum negative impact on personal and business lives*
* Why pay monthly for a service a services you do not receive?*
* Would you continue to pay for a service you do not receive?*
* No electricity affects everyone, both rich and poor in Nigeria*
*Why do we continue to line the pockets of these fat cats*
* Just like the fuel subsidy, the whole nation has to rally ourselves together and fight this illness that has been ravaging our society for generations*
* But unlike the fuel subsidy protest, you do not have to carry placards and demonstrate or be forced to stay at home; you can still your about your daily routine uninterrupted*
* Is there an alternative to being taken for a 'mugun?'
I strongly believe that the beginning of a lasting solution to this never-ending problem is to set a date for all Nigerians to begin a campaign to simply STOP PAYING NEPA BILL!. IT IS NOT A ILLEGAL TO STOP PAYING NEPA BILLS! HIT THE FAT BASTARDS WHERE IT WILL HURT MOST; THEIR POCKETS! FELLOW NIGERIANS IF WE STAND TOGETHER WE CAN BE VERY FORMIDABLE!
My Friend, we cannot stand by you in this your planned sabotage. Nigerians are far too intelligent to buy your idea.
Why don't you go for the PHCN pre-paid card and then use as you pay, if you feel cheated with the post-paid option
Politics / Re: Stop Demolition Of Estates In Fct, Senate Warns Fcda by NiceKid2(f): 2:54pm On Oct 19, 2012
Why is it that FCT Ministers enjoy demolishing people's houses. This was the same thing that that short Aboki Elrufai did in his own time. This is getting out of hand and so many people are getting displaced daily. They can't even pack to their villages, as floods are noteven helping matters.

Thank God for he House of Senate

BeraBera: “The attention of the NUC has been drawn to the fact that some universities conduct supplementary examination for their students, in addition to regular semester examinations… This contradicts the Course Credit System in operation in the Nigerian university system, which has no provision for re-sit or supplementary examinations.
“For the avoidance of doubt, the Course Credit System provides that courses should be taken on semester basis and a course failed in one semester should be carried over to the following year and to be re-taken at the next available opportunity.” http://talkofnaija.com/news_details.aspx?NewsId=C7A372C3-AB0E-464E-A3A7-2211D4DB648B
But come to think of it, re-sit and sorting, which one is better? People that pay lecturers in cash/kind to get good scores and those who want to try-again, whom would you prefer?

Of course yes. Foreign investment would continue to be of great benefit to Nigeria because:
it provides employment for the indigenes,
It encourages transfer of technology,
It fosters business competitions between indigenous and foreign enterprises,
It yields income for the government through Taxes paid by the foreign companies operating in the country,
Etc. etc
