I said it and you have admitted that brake fluid should be topped up.
I see your point too. Anyways we have both learnt something. I should have pointed out when its needs to be topped.

Then, you didn't phrase your question correctly. Instead of you saying, "Who says you should top up brake fluid?", you should say, "When should brake fluid be topped up".
From your first comment you said " did he forget to top up brake fluid" ? So should the fluid be topped each time one is driving out?
Nairaland General › Re: Popular Port Harcourt Photographer, Wildshot, Dies In Fatal Accident by Nicepoker(m): 1:19pm On Dec 10, 2023
immortalcrown:
When you top up your own brake fluid does not matter in this case. The point is you asked me who says I should top up brake fluid, and you yourself have said brake fluid needs to be topped up at a point. So, you have either answered your question or proven that the question is wrong.
The thing is you don't just wake up and top brake fluid. Its wrong. When your brake pads are wearing off the fluid goes down as well. Most of these road side mechanics might not know much. I worked with coscharis for 4/yrs so I have hands on experience in vehicle maintenance.

yes that's only when you fix a new pad then you notice the fluid is not up to the top mark. But if you are still using the old pad you don't need to top. If you top up when you are using the old pad, the day you change to the new one the moment the pistons are adjusted so the new pad can be fixed that extra fluid you topped will spill off from the reservoir.

Is there any car manufacturer that says brake fluid should not be topped up or are you just using your observation of brake pads replacement to argue?

The fluid container has a removable cover for a purpose.
If after changing the pads then the fluid doesn't return to the top mark. That's when you top up. But before doing that inspect if there is a leakage on the lines or the piston seals. But as long as the lines are Intact you don't need to top up.

oga if you doubt me. When next you want to replace the brake pads watch how its done. The moment the piston are adjusted to be able to fix the new pads the fluid will return to the tank. When the brake fluid is on the lower point, it means the pads are worn out and needs replacement.
Nairaland General › Re: Popular Port Harcourt Photographer, Wildshot, Dies In Fatal Accident by Nicepoker(m): 12:44pm On Dec 10, 2023
immortalcrown:
You are wrong. Break fluid tank has a low level mark. Whe the fluid level is at the low mark, you are to top up the fluid.
That low level mark means your brake pads are worn off. When you replace a new pad the piston in the brake calipers will be adjusted back thereby the fluid in the lines will flow back to the brake fluid reservoir.

May his soul rest in peace.

But it is necessary to include in the news the possible cause of the accident, so that road users will learn.

Was he drunk?

Was the road bad?

Was it over speeding?

Did he forget to top up break fluid?

Oyibo go investigate the accident and give report to reduce the rate of similar accidents. But for Africa, the only thing necessary na just to type RIP. No proactive measures.
Who says you should top up brake fluid.

Politics › Re: Global Oil Refineries Panicked As Dangote Refinery Causes Disruption by Nicepoker(m): 7:54pm On Dec 09, 2023
Faiththatworks:
Has anybody noticed that over the past 24 hours, all articles on NNPCL and Dangote Refinery has constantly gotten to the first page.It means people are interested in the happenings around that Location
Let me school our people on why there is panic around the financial world because Dangote Refinery has finally started operations

1) Some Refineries in Europe and Asia will have to probably reduce their workforce or close shop
For the past thirty years when NNPCL stated importation of fuel, the primary refining location was Europe and Asia. For close to thirty years, their income is based on the fact that they will get their crude oil from Nigeria and send back petrol, Diesel and Aviation fuel
If you understand the way things work, you will understand that this companies always have financial projections for five to ten years.
All this came crashing yesterday and they will need to start sourcing for cheap crude to sustain their income

2) A set of Middlemen and Cabal have been cut off our resources
Over the past thirty years,a small set of people around the world have emerged from being middlemen engaging in this satanic arrangement called Oil swap
The famous Kola Aluko and Madueke Dieziani under President Jonathan comes to mind
This cabal include International Bankers,Ship owners, Insurance companies,Tank Farm owners, government officials and the list is endless
I believe this guys are richer than Nigeria and their livelihood has just ended with the beginning of the local refining of crude oil at Dangote Refinery

3) Petroleum Byproducts
I always ask myself what happens to the byproducts gotten from the refined Crude oil over the last 30 years. The parasites in NNPCL have never explained to Nigerians whether they are sold or given away
Products such as propylene used in producing plastic, Petroleum cake used in Aluminum industry and the list goes on
Nigeria probably lost billions of dollars over the last thirty years due to wastage and the beneficiaries of the corrupt system will be brought to book one day

Finally, there is the economic industrialisation which will happen in Ibeju Lekki,Lagos State
For your information, Pinnacle Oil owned by one of the Biggest South East Billionaires is going to be the biggest Tank Farm in West Africa
Jezco Oil(owned by Joeyzaza) is putting finishing touches to his Massive Factory in that location as we speak
Click on the link below to partake in our Christmas and End of year promo of properties in the Ibeju Lekki Industrial Hub
Dangote refinery does it have the capacity to extract the by product? Because I know some refineries don't.

The Igbos clamouring for Biafra should be cursing Azikiwe everyday and night. But no, it's the innocent they will be hating.

Had Azikiwe heed to the dangers Pa Awo and Saudauna saw about a multiethnic Nigeria, we won't be in this conundrum. He was blinded by tribal supremacy thinking that other tribes were dumb.
OAU. Ife. Ahmadu bello Zaria. Zik went and named his University of Nigeria nsukka. Zik wanted the unity more. This is what most igbos don't even know.
