Poster was joking. there's no such thing in NLNG.

Favouroute07:

Please can you explain what you mean here? Though it seems funny and petty, it could actually be a test of delayed gratification which I heard that some companies do too; providing food and refreshments and observing if the candidates would dig in or not.

if you did the AC and can no longer access the email you used, I would suggest you write to the recruitment team ASAP.

Ekeoms:
Hello Nicer/Airsaylongcome.

What can one do if they can no longer access their application mail! Do you think sending an email to the recruiting team with the new contact mail will help?

Check your emails regularly from now. Respond on time if you're lucky enough to get the message you're hoping for. Good luck. You're all stars no matter what happens. every single one of you.

Thank you for the compliment. I hope they are listening and learning too.

Funny thing is that I now understand things from your perspective during the last GT cycle. There is always a lot of chatter about nepotism allegedly coming in to play. And I understand why, given how jaga jaga Nigeria is. Especially as many people see the business as a government parastatal. Hopefully you can periodically chip in a word or two here in the course of the recruitment (even though I know and appreciate that this isn't something you can commit to). All the same, thank you for dropping a word for "them" here.

I don't blame people for some of the chatter; there's a lot of nepotism in the country so it's hard for people to believe an organization exists where it doesn't work. It's the people who confidently discourage others with their falsehood that I have a problem with. I'll certainly try to chip a word from time to time, it's just that I get so busy. I will try to show up more. Thanks. People won't appreciate what you're doing here till they face the AC themselves. Good looking out.

Lol! I remember your moniker!! Would be nice if someone at IMT would deem it fit to smoke out the person behind that moniker. It’s almost bordering on reputational damage on the business.

and i remember you. smiley Good job you're doing here. I hope they're listening to you and learning.

I have been reading your false statements here for a while. I'm not quite sure what you hope to gain but I hope you know there's no such thing as anonymous in this day and age and you can be tracked down if someone in IMT decides it's worth it ?

Just to note guys, that there's no such thing as NLNG past questions. SHL practice questions are useful but people should not be mislead into thinking they are direct past questions from NLNG exercises.

Amusing to see the number of people who claim to have 'insider' information here. All wrong by the way. wish you guys that have participated in the AC the best of luck. it's all down to you, not down to any referral, not down to any senatorial district (ridiculous!). just pray....

@Nicer, thanks for your contributions. I just have one question. Do you have any idea how long the exercise for the day will last?... i.e 7:00 am till ??..... I need to know because I intend on booking my return journey for the same day as my assessment date. (I should be at the airport by 9:00pm). Assessment is in Lagos.

Thanks.

I also await your info on reimbursement as you promised cheesy

you should be able to meet your 9 pm flight. Ceteris Paribus. haha. I made no promises on reimbursement; you'll just have to wait and see

Hi Nicer,

Thanks for the clarifications so far on this thread.

I have some questions i will like you to respond to for the benefit of all;

1) Will there be another stage after the assessment centre?
2)Will the successful applicants be called for medicals after the AC just as it was done in 2007?
3) Will there be a one on one interview on the day of the AC?
4) Does experience count as an added advantage?
5) Does NLNG mandate successful candidates to see the MD after scaling through the stages?
6) How will our current age affect the recruitment drive considering the fact that NLNG advertised 28years as the required age for recruitment.
7) Will the quota system be used in selecting the will be few lucky successful candidate.
coolWhat is the likely date of resumption for successful candidates?

Thanks in anticipation of your reponse to the inquiries.

Dear team,

As the D day appraches, stay focused, prepare, plan, pray and remain positive

Hi. Apologies but I am unable to answer most of your questions as I'm not on the forum in any official capacity. I'm just trying to help where I can. I can however confirm that your age will not be an issue. The delay in organizing the AC was not foreseen and is not your fault.

So why do vehicles have spare tires? why do people take insurance. Succinctly the last paragraph would have sufficed

@ Mr Nicer
Pls will there be any contact before the d-day as to what to expect on the day or any preparatory materials?

@ all
3 weeks is not enough time to prepare so let's not waste precious seconds on futile things (e.g. so called mock assessments- unless its organised by NLNG)

there will be no further contact on that. I wish you the best of luck

@ Nicer

Please are we grouped according to state or discipline for each assessment day?

Do we have just one group being assessed per day?

All that doesn't really matter, that's a distraction that you don't need; focus on your performance. I wish you the very best of luck.

No, I have gotten my invite but am scared network will not affect anyone's confirmation(availability & present location) mail to NLNG HR. Am of the opinion for them to send a reminder or acknowledgment mail to us on or before 22nd May,2015 so that some people will not forfeit this golden opportunity because of network wahala. Thanks.

a bulk SMS reminder message will be sent. thanks for caring for others

You are doing a great work here. My advice is for you to inform the NLNG HR team to send a reminder mail to those they didn't receive their confirmation mail or send an acknowledgement mail to us. Network can make someone's mail not to reach the desired location. Thanks.

Thanks. The HR team cannot know if you received the email or not. Your duty is to ensure you provide an accurate address. Are you in this category?
