Just got a mail but they are saying virtual interview and I already did virtual interview before. Although I requested for reschedule last week but I later participated. I don’t know why I’m still getting a virtual interview text

FiRs pays like 250 for basic, no allowances yet for the new intakes though. NCDMB salary too is decent pays 200+ excluding allowances but cbn does not pay up to 150k, though you are entitled to lunch allowances or some stuff like that total per month isn't up to 180k (including the lunch allowance).

I just got an insider information about FIRS. It’s just an info I got. No way to verify but I believe the person. He said FIRS has not recruited anyone and might likely not recruit anyone. As he’s talking to me, the organization is in deep shit due to lack of money. Some of their allowances self they are not sure that they would get it cuz of no money. Their target as at last month was supposed to be 45% but they were only able to recover 24%. He said the chairman caused all these. In a bid to please people in the last recruitment, he recruited too many people hoping the fed govt would increase their something I have forgotten the word he used but they were supposed to increase the something to 7% but uptil now it’s still 4%. so the ones he recruited before were just too much and paying salary is going to be a big problem especially if he recruits anyone again. Chances of recruitment right now is very very slim. But he said nothing is impossible. But not to put too much hope for now. the chairman is trying to clear the mess he is in. Recruitment is the last thing on his mind.

you might be right. Firs recruited way too many people last year when the new chairman got in. I visited thier office sometimes last year and everywhere was filled up. Up till now the man haven't paid upfront to the new intakes and I don't think he might be paying anytime soon.

nah 5m is too much for cbn he can get good paying parastatals like FIRS, NIMASA, NCDMB for lesser amount sef. Don't be deceived by the name CBN doesn't pay up to most parastatals. If you have other options its better to weigh your options

Federal Character and PENCOM didn't come to compromise. The 23persons can be absorbed alongside but the numbers of slots that she was demanding was far above what PENCOM ever expected from FCC. Their meeting ends in deadlock..So the recruitment is on hold for now.

PENCOM isssued letters to 23 persons some yrs back and was supposed to resume immediately, the new intakes decided to requested for three months grace before resumption and it was granted.

After some few weeks, few weeks to resumption, PETISION landed PENCOM and that was how their resumption was staled. PENCOM send an email to all the new intakes, telling them not to resume anymore as a results of the petition.

((((( If they had resume immediately as suggested by the PENCOM, nothing for happen))))))))

Going forward, PENCOM recently wrote to FCC for weiver and the recruitment was granted, names compiled, FCC sent their candidates and was ready to receive their letters.

Another issue arrised from those 23 persons, that they must be absorbed before any recruitment will commence in PENCOM. Currently, that's the issue they are handling, hopefully it will be resolved soon.

I grew up in the north central part of Nigeria and was born in the mid 90s. I'm the first born in a family of 5 (including dad and mom).

Growing up life was simply better I don't know how it was in the 80s but I enjoyed life just like an average Nigeria kid should. We ain't poor neither are we too rich we belong to the "average class family". Life is simply just perfect.

My Dad built is first house in 1999 is second two years later. School was quite cheap and affordable and economy was better.

Fast foward to today it is the complete opposite. School fees these days will buy a land in my home town, the economy keeps getting harsher as time goes on. Prices of things have literally doubled in the market.

In those days if you kids get lost in the neigborhood is either he has gone to play ball or as regards to female she is playing with her peers. Or most times in the niegbours house watching TV. The same cant be said for today.

Looking into the future there seems to be no light at the end of the tunnel. Infact the whole tunnel is completely dark. We are just wandering miserably. Some news I read here on nairaland saddens to my heart and I do question myself will Nigeria get any better?

Let's not even dive into politicians, I can write a whole book about them. The serious challenges we face in this country saddens my heart and there has been no room for improvement. Our prospects and bright minds have been finding thier way out of the country for the past couple of years (I can't blame them?. Our youths are jobless and the economy is harsh towards them.

Will there finally be a light at the end of the tunnel? Can we move forward as a nation? What will you do differently if you are to be in position of power? Did lord lugard make a mistake in the year 1914.

Let's rub mind and share thoughts.
