This Post will mean different things to different people. To the open minded it could mean a satire, to the ignorant, Zealot, hypocritical and Sadistic, it will amount to nothing more than an attempt to undermine the work of God. To yet another group it will be an attention grabbing piece that achieves absolutely nothing on the positive side. But to me it is a true reflection of things I have observed among some men of god, the massive business empires they preside over, the attempts and strategy they have applied all these years to arrive at their present states. This write up is going to demonstrate the sad reality of opportunism, deception, greed and ambition combining forces to wreck havoc on the social fabric of the Nigerian Society. It will include an expose on the five biggest Holy Businessmen in Nigeria (David Oyedepo, Enoch Adeboye, Chris Oyakhilome, Temitope Joshua and Mathew Ashimolowo in that order) and the vast businesses they preside over.

So if you are interested in becoming super rich and you wish to find an easy route to the top of the business world be on the look out in the coming weeks as I take you through a mini Course I have Christened " How to become a Super Rich Holy Businessman or pastor"

Can't wait to read your expose on these clowns, but my advise to you is to leave names out of it so it doesn't get personal thus loosing the essence of the post and turning it to arguments. Also try and be very objective.

@All
posts like this are necessary to bring people to the reality of what is happening in christiandom today. Even though some people would still follow these pastors blindly, it is important that we point out that some of these men are not doing God's work but rather working to satisfy their own personal and selfish desires

   Romans 16:17-18:

17Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

18For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

Disclaimer

First let me state that I am a bible believing Christian, but I have an attitude of speaking what is on my mind regardless of how offensive some may find it but only when occasion calls for it. I have nothing against anybody whose name(s) is/are mentioned, but I am merely stating what I observe that clearly breaches Christian doctrine, truth and Christian spirituality.

My apology goes to kunleoshob for his respectful advice which implored me to drop name calling, but to make this course as beneficial as possible it is only fair that honour is given to whom it is due.

I believe in the maxim a good Christian is a good citizen, writing something like this is only intended to condemn social ills (not people whose names are mentioned) that often have religious undertones in and around Nigeria.

This course is not by any means intended to malign or slander anyone. Nor is it intended to offend anyone but being a necessary evil it will most certainly offend some people.

Please ignore the messenger but pay attention to the message.

Thank you.

Module 1

Introduction to Holy Business in Nigeria Part I

What is Holy business?

It is the practice of using God’s body of believers as market for buying and selling products and services such as Miracles (which the Bible better describes as lying signs and wonders), cleverly packaged messages lacking depth in spirituality and often crafty but enticing avenues for receiving illicit donations for propagating worldly profit and vain glory.

The practice of this kind of business in Nigeria is very rampant as is especially seen in new generation churches most of which are spear headed by men and women with either poor understanding of scripture and sound Christian doctrine or are nothing more than morally bankrupt men and women and yet they enjoy the unalloyed patronage of people.

Our primary concern at this stage is the proper ushering of you the prospective Holy Businessman on how to start, run and reach the top of this highly lucrative business. Lucrative in the sense that total JUSTIFIABLE expenses are usually less than 20% of total income, meaning that this business is a cash cow if properly managed.

JUSTIFICATION

The economic and social climate in Nigeria at the moment is a very encouraging one for this kind of business to thrive because of the following observable trends among the people;

1. The reluctance of people to question those in authority

2. Widespread ignorance

3. A highly corrupt society

4. Social problems especially poverty, illiteracy and a widespread sense of insecurity

5. Limited exposure to vital information and a host of others.

In other countries where this business is especially booming such as the united states of America the population of customers and the overall market prospect is an overwhelming minority meaning that those who line the pockets of Holy businessmen are a tiny drop in the ocean this is due to their well civilized and well informed citizenry compared with what obtains here in Nigeria which is actually the reverse scenario especially in the urban centres. Most Christians here are better described as men of god followers who would rather do the bidding of their pastors than search for truth through appropriate scriptural references.
The pioneers of this kind of business are the best masters to learn from because they know all the tricks and have sufficient experience at their disposal. Interestingly they are mainly of American citizenship. The most notorious of them is evangelist Benny Hinn, who is best known for his extravagance, craftiness and pomposity. But that is not our concern rather to become super-rich so that we might surpass them is all that matters to us and following in the foot steps of people like him will be a very mighty leap towards achieving our goal.

A great number of ministers have applied Hinn’s method of ‘soul winning’, ‘evangelism’ and ‘ministration’ with serious measures of success. The likes of late Michael Adeyemi, Chris Oyakhilome and Samson Ayorinde have shown the way that leads to our common goal. This style involves the use of stage managed miracles, to offer false hope to desperate and faithless people, preaching of sensational messages that appeal more to the emotions and senses than to the spirit and the mind. Messages that are designed to inspire a yearning for earthly progress rather than the earthly battles we as Christians ought to fight against satan in order to prove our faith before God. We must not relent but stand fast in what we believe i.e money, power and earthly prestige if we are serious about joining the big league that these men already belong to.

Every would-be Holy Businessman must pick a mentor and attach himself fervently to his approach, success story, motivation and understudy him closely.

Then there is equally another approach used successfully to deceive and milk people dry of their earthly treasures and that is the use of voodoo miracles. Do not confuse this with Holy Spirit inspired miracles which are genuine and which are often accompanied by sinners repenting and turning to God. Voodoo miracles achieve the exact opposite. They create fear in the minds of those who witness them and cause the weak at heart to look at the voodoo practitioner as an object of veneration quite contrary to what the disciples of Jesus Christ were known for. A very successful practitioner of this wicked science in Nigeria is a man named TB Joshua who has claimed to have the power to command fire to fall from heaven, cure AIDS, cancer, exorcise demon possessed and bewitched people and even appear in people’s dreams to warn them of impending evils (evils which people like him are known to cause). The crowd that is often seen at this man’s healing sessions is usually large and often times contain notable figures such as expatriate Journalists, tourists, evangelists, fellow pastors and visitors on adventure and sight seeing. Even a former president of Zambia in the person of Fredrick Chiluba, and the daughter of the king of Swaziland, famous Nigerian footballer Kanu Nwankwo have been among his clients at various times. His business is currently doing fine although I will not recommend this to you because you risk becoming a social leper because many of the so-called miracles he works are eyes sores too disgusting for decent people to watch.

A more conservative approach which is quite harmless at face value is the use of seminar-style preaching of motivational messages that make little impact on the spirituality of those who listen to them. This style involves the use of point by point teaching of messages coined out of scripture in rather semi-truthful and superficial delivery of keynotes which are no more than lectures one would witness in seminar presentations. Some of the lessons that could be preached include; the seven Ms of Money, seven secrets of successful businessmen and pastors which have been preached at various times by Mathew Ashimolowo and “Enjoying a shame free life” a message taught by arguably Nigeria’s richest Holy businessman David Oyedepo. The draw back in preaching messages like these is the fact that people are made to believe that the life of a Christian in eternity must be heralded by earthly prosperity usually in the form of riches, of course even pagans think that way when their (Christians) righteousness ought to be greater than those of hypocrites, pagans and unbelievers.

These seeming anomalies are a blessing to us who seek heaven on earth. Our duty is to capitalize on this opportunity. We must not waste time as more people are getting into this trade to deprive us of our share of the goldmine. Let’s do the math. There are 140 million Nigerians 52 million of whom are Christians. If we take out just 100,000 each to our respective churches and get on average monthly tithes of =N= 1000 each, then we are talking about =N= 1,200,000,000 per annum. This is achievable within the next 5 years if you are starting off today. How to go about this will be taught in module 3 of this course.

So you have seen it part I of the introduction. Look out for part II which will come on or before the 11th of September.

endeavor not to accuse anyone of false miracles, cos none of us can verify that except God.
but u can raise questions about all other things they do, that way we can easily make conclusions on the genuiety of their miracles.
but if u raise questions about the authencity of their miracles without any proove to back it up, u tend to sound more like another nuisance.

I sincerely apologize for the seeming inconsistency and a lack of workable time table for this course. The truth is that fresh facts and information come up every day meaning that this course must be continually updated. That not withstanding you will not be kept waiting unnecessarily any more so here goes the concluding part of the introduction.

Introduction to holy business in Nigeria II

You are welcome to part II of the introductory part of this course. Let’s quickly go over the remainder then move there after to module 2.

As prospective super rich men and women, you must not be perturbed that Nigerians are a highly religious people mistakenly described as the happiest people in the world. Your prize is the reward of enterprise that is to say profit, while the cost is absolutely minimal.
Look at these for your selves:

1. This business enjoys a permanent tax holiday i.e you will never pay tax of any kind.
2. Most of your workers will be volunteers. That is they will think they are working for the Lord whether as Ushers, Choristers, Evangelists etc. where as they are helping you to minimize your operating costs.
3. You will earn undeserved respect as a Holy businessman. Many will mistake you as one called to do God’s work, win souls for the Lord and speak the mind of God.
4. You can levy your customers with scripturally, historically and culturally non-Christian Church fees such as tithes and illegal offerings, whereas the only known practice of contributing to Church Treasury was a communal/collective contribution later termed Collection made to meet the needs of under privileged members of the Christian community as well as justifiably necessary expenses. You can include your personal and selfish needs as part of church work and claim it is the duty of every believer to support God’s work i.e Church work.
5. The practice of consistently earning underserved wages as the above mentioned can be effected by misapplying scripture to buttress this point. Go on and state that people who do not pay tithes and other illegal offerings are stealing from the Lord, when in actual fact they are not meant to pay such.

If you find any business with so much incentives as this then I haven’t told you the whole truth about this business.

The British researcher who concluded that Nigerians were the happiest people in the world used a rather faulty method in arriving at such conclusion. He opined that despite widespread poverty, social ills and under development, Nigerians are a generally welcoming, homely and large hearted people failing to realize the reality on ground presented a different picture.
An American Journalist correctly analyzed our situation and opined that “Nigerians are a people with an unusual common sense and good mind”. Why would a journalist make such an assertion? He discovered that even in obvious oppression Nigerians would rather suffer and pray ceaselessly for divine intervention than take charge of a situation they already command, corroborating fela’s description of my people (Nigerians) as those who love suffering and smiling. Going by the fact that Nigerians respect naira and position more than character and ability I can’t but agree with him. A man of god who oversees a large congregation is accorded more respect than a poor but selfless civil servant on no more a criteria than that one i.e the G.O works in the Lord’s vineyard (more appropriately though for his own belly) while the other is a worker for man (actually a servant of humanity) instead of considering the overall contribution both have made towards the advancement of the country and mankind in general and on that basis accord due respect.

In other words, Nigerians tend to celebrate the influential but corrupt and disgruntled while despising the patriotic, selfless and well meaning man of good virtue.

You might ask: what is the connection between holy business and oppression? Quite simply because holy business is a corrupt system which like Authority stealing (borrowing fela’s term for official corruption) is oppressive. This is the perfect situation and cover we need to operate. Under oppressive environments, few people will ever have the courage to stand for what is right. Don’t be surprised that even in the most obviously fraudulent scenarios, we might still not have dissenting voices against our shameful ways, and even when they exist, will be too few and feeble to put up any serious threat to our business. Take my word for it the future is bright in this business.

To further illustrate this, the case of where brainwashed church goers steal money belonging to their employers and bring same to the House of God as offering without eye brows being raised as to the source(s) of such money even when the person making such offering is incapable of earning 10% of such amounts legitimately going by his present occupation. We know that the bible states clearly that the sacrifice (offering) of a sinner is an abomination unto the Lord, and stealing is a sin which God made a commandment against. He said thou shall not steal, stolen money given to us by our customers should be accepted and not returned to their rightful owners even when they demand for it because we can claim that the money in any case belongs to the church, where as the same God who gave Moses that commandment will surely reject such an offering in the same way he rejected Cain’s offering. But our belly and not our consciences is what must be satisfied so be at ease.

Also there are cases of contractors borrowing or in extreme cases stealing money to sow a seed with the Lord in order to win juicy contracts. These two illustrations are an indication into the desperation and ignorance of our prospective customers. Brace yourself up for this exciting offer. I assure the future is indeed bright. So much reward is in the offing.
