My interview was favor embedded cos the consular officer treated me like a baby, she was just smiling tru out as if i was a kid, despite a lot of denials.

Anyway, i got my visa too in Abuja 2day. The interview was very similar to Oyewelejo's. He only askd for my I-20 ( Going for Ms, Computer Netwks @ CSU, East Bay) and my GRE scores. There were no WHY questions,  Just What School, course, who is sponsor, what does he do etc. No bank statements request. When he asked for my SEVIS receipt, I knew i already got d VISA. From the originator to the very last contributor, thank u all for your advice, support and prayers. God Bless u all.

Hope Restored Victory at Last God my Strength.Thank U all Nairalanders.i just got my Student Visa at Abuja today without the consular seeing my bank statements.he didn't ask whether i will come back.he just ask why i choose my school and he ask for WAEC.He ask for SAT & TOEFL i told him my school exempted me from that and he smile and gave me the ticket and gave some advice.

I really, really wanna thank u guys,  couldn't have made it thru easily without your helpful posts.

Now, keeping true with this forums tradition, here are a list of the documents that secured my visa:

1. Final acceptance/Visa letter
2. Degree certificate
3. Original receipt for payment of tuition (I paid the full fees)
4. A passport photograph
5. Personal bank statement (GBP 5825)
6. Fathers bank statement (GBP 15950)
7. A print out of Oanda exchange rate for 3rd September 2009.

i just got my visa am so excited my God is toooooo much. I was refused twice last year(appeal in progress)  despite travelling to Uk for visit more than 4 times. I applied July this year i was also refused (i was on holiday in June to Uk), i submitted an administrative review along side i reapplied the review is still in progress but i don't need it anymore because the lord as done it through reapplying.  please help me call Baba God and thank him oooooooo

I also applied on the 19th of August. Total waiting period: 12 working days.

I paid my tuition fees in full and my accommodation deposit which was less than 500 pounds. I had over 2 million naira in my personal account and i also submitted my parents bank statement which also had over 2 million naira.

i must say a big thank you to funkybaby. i sent her and email and she responded to all my enquiries. she told me how to fill the forms properly. she told me how to package and group my documents together and paste sticker notes on each bunch. she also advised me to apply at victoria island rather than ikeja because they handle applications faster. this she said might be due to the proximity of VFS to the embassy at walter carrington. all these she did without collecting a dime or even meeting her in person. the agent the university directed me to wanted to charge me 50,000 naira for ''visa consultancy'' (bloody thieves)

i did not include any receipt of payment from the school neither did i include any bank teller showing i had done any bank transfer. i presented the original hardcopy visa letter to them and also copies of email correspondences between myself and the finance department of the university.

i also have a good travel history as i am a frequent traveler to the UK and evidence was seen in my passport.
