I would be coming back to Nigeria very soon and Prefer a Nigerian-based Nigerian to marry.I have been reading posts here and hav not had the guts to embark on this kind of a trip but I think it is high time I put my doubts behind.
I saw a friend do it so I tot it was not a bad idea.

The questions that come to mind are,can I really find a decent and homely girl back home to marry.The chics here are just not 'marriageable'.I have met several Nigerian girls here but to be honest I cant vouch for them.It's repulsive to me to see that a Naija chic smokes and drinks like alcohol was first produced in large quantities in Nigeria n like we they are being patriotic.Really pushes me off.That isnt all,alot of them have a lot of issues.Each time I think of my last gf in naija,I find something drop down my eyes.painful really that I cant find her type around.She is married now.I should be heading back soon and SERIOUSLY NEED TO START SOMETHG SERIOUS WITH A DECENT N HOMELY SWEET NIGERIAN AT HOME.I dont care what Nairalanders think anymore.I dont!It has gotten to my neck.I want to get married soon.I need a wife.I rather meet someone here or through some personal effort than ask my family & friends to recommend someone.I have my reasons.
You dont have to be miss world,just have everythg in moderation.

Good luck with your search man but I do not know why most of you guys are running home
to find a wife. there are bad and good women in every part of the world, if you search really well
you will find a wife where you are. Again I do not blame you guys I blame them girls that give
themself out cheaply. Going home just to find a wife does not guarantee a successful outcome
and am talking from experience. Most of the times the "perfect wife" from home turn out even worse.

You are right but what can I do?It's not as easy to find a good woman as you think.I just believe somehow that Nigerian chic are a bit more resrved,churchgoers or good christians,etc.I bliv Nigerians at home fear God more that those abroad.You hardly find anybody to encourage your christian growth here.A woman cheating on her husband is almost not taken very seriously but in Nigeria?the entire county would hear abt it and condemn her ourightly.thats what i like abt me girls at home.So can I meet you pls?would you send me a mail?It's on my profile.Thanks anyway

Seriously poster, you make me laugh. What you need to do is pray that God gives you a good Naija woman to marry. It doesn't matter where she lives. The reason why it seems marrying from back home is better is because there is a larger pool of ladies to chose from. The downside for ladies living abroad is that the Naija community is small. When I say small I mean everyone knows everyone and their business, and everyone is judgemental. Any little slip can tarnish your reputation for good in the community, unless you relocate.  It baffles me how some guys condemn ladies who live abroad and imply that they are not marriage worthy because they "drink and smoke". Ehn, see you now, Saint Obi. The funny thing is, you're probably going to attract the same kind of girls in Naija. You just won't notice because the "Naija-girls-are-good-girls" syndrome you have will warp your sense of reasoning. One thing I can tell you is, even if you proclaim from here to the high heavens that you want to marry from your village only, if you don't put God in the equation, you are wasting your time. There are bad and good women EVERYWHERE! Two of my uncles thought  like you. They felt they were doing themselves a favour by dumping their un-worthy girlfriends and going home to marry "innocenti". Where are they now? One is divorced and the other refuses to get divorced because he can't think of sharing his "hard-earned" property with his wife.
Don't get me wrong ooo. There is definitely a greater possibilty of getting a "good" girl in Naija, but don't delude yourself into thinking that all girls in Naija are good. Also, don't condemn and bring other ladies down in order to "justify your reasons for wanting to go back home to pick a wife. If you say you prefer to marry from back home because the ladies may still be in touch with the culture and may be more homely, kini big deal? There's actually nothing wrong with that. Just don't muddy others to make a point. Cos you actually have no point.  Wharreva man.

Slow down man lest you come out bleeding, there are good women everywhere and you will surely get one if you know what you are doing. Do you have enough time to relate with a girl when you come down to Nigeria? Don't know when last you visited but the parameters have changed, girls want more!

you are sooooo on point, there is too few naija people over here to even start dating and even though i have a lot of friends from this place, i don't even want to attempt dating, talkless of even marrying one of them. I guess that's the sad about not living at home, you are stuck in a foreign country with foreign people and yet when you go home everybody wants to get with you because you are from overseas and you don't know who to get with because you hardly know them afterall you didn't go to college with them.
