Thanks for your response dyvinson7. Actually I dnt hv this master card you mentioned above. Sorry hw can I get the master card. I thought the application fee was supposed to be paid in the schools account as they do in other universities. That would make things easy. Pls how can I go about it. |

mr swagger: @ mr swagger, It is paid online into Kings University account after filling your application. Its the same way like other Universities, but you have to have means to pay online. Visit your banks to make inquiry on how to get Master Card or contact the agent to help you pay for it. |

Not really a university (in the contest of broad spectrum curriculum) only an avenue for people to migrate, graduate and wonder what next. No hard feelings bro. I only raised alarm "because it was not listed as a UNIVERSITY"! Good enough you know its a post-secondary institution meant only to kick start the alborigins, not for somebody intending to work in a multinational like most Nigerians do Goodluck with it. Update on Athabasca University, Athabasca University is for Nigeria CEOs, Managers or Non Hustlers who do not want to travel out of Nigeria. It is an online University and does not sponsor or support any VISA to Canada. Therefore, its a school for those who have money and just want Canadian or foreign certificate. However, to compensate those who have been following my trend there is another relatively cheap school that do not give too much headache or require GRE or any graduate entering examination or test, Concordia University College of Alberta http://concordia.ab.ca/ I only recommend this school for postgraduate program only not for Undergraduate because its expensive than Kings University www.kingsu.ca The requirement is 3.0 GPA somewhere around second class lower or there about, and you may still be admitted with 3rd class if you can send a resume that you have been working in the IT field(http://infosec.concordia.ab.ca/). Also the school only have two programs Master of Information System Security(MISSM) for IT and Master of Arts in Biblical and Christian Studies (MABCS) for those who want to be pastors. However there is another program that will be starting in January Master of Information System Auditing i think for those who want to be IT auditor. Concordia also offers Bachelor of Environmental Health (After Degree) is a certificate course and you can only be admitted into the program if you have a bachelor degree already. check this for programs: http://concordia.ab.ca/future-students/programs

Visa fee is around N25,000-N30,000 depending if its multiple entry, Medical if done in Victoria Island is around N22,000-N30,000 . However, if done in Yaba you can save about 2,000 - 5,000 naira but remember that you will have to pay for the cost of transportation and it will cost you one day to a week extra in your visa processing time. Ticket to Edmonton is around $2400-$3000 about 370,000- 500,000 depends on the airline and season for round trip. However you might not need round trip. One way may cost you around N200,000 |

DEELOV: DEELOV, I will recommend anything above N10 million Naira if your sponsor is in Nigeria. And $15-20,000 if outside Nigeria. What is important though is also the financial transaction in the account not actually the current available balance. The embassy look at how much goes into the account just as they view the balance. The total cost for the entire process can scare you, but if you take it step by step you would not feel it. Kings annual fee is $11,331. You do not have to pay the entire fee at once, you can pay half and half at the second semester. You can also arrange for installment payment of $1000 per month; however, you will be charged interest if you pay in installment. |

Its never as interesting as this to have opportunity to study in Canada and have a Bachelor degree in 2 years and 9 months. I recently spoke to a director of enrollment from RCC Institutes of Technology Toronto Canada. a subsidiary of Yorkville University. Nigeria Private University cost 1.5million Naira and an international school cost the same. While other international schools in U.S, U.K and even Canadian Universities cost about $21,000 or more per year especially for international students. Hi Dyvinson, i have been following your post for quite some times now and i must say you are really nice, please i want to ask question regarding Kings University, i have applied and paid the fee and i was told there will get back to me with my admission letter, i just want to know how long it will take for the embassy to get my visa ready because i just applied for computer science and the program start September, and i also want to know where i can get a confirm sponsor with good amount in the account because i know Canada always call the banks to confirm, it happen to me when i was in Egypt, Canada embassy called the bank in Nigeria to confirm it the account is original and on my name, but what i don't know is if there ask about some transaction dates, i am thinking of upgrading my bank account statement in Oyowola but the present balance will be the same, what do you think. please read carefully and answer my questions, 1. I applied this week and the woman said my admission letter will come out Friday 2. I need a good sponsor with good amount in his/her account 3. can i upgrade my account Another issue is that Canada embassy in Cairo Egypt gave me a banned letter that i should not apply with them for two years, the two years have passed but now i want to apply i hope it will not affect me. please i am waiting for your urgent response. |

oyibomoses: OyiboMoses, I have two questions for you: 1. Where are you now, Cairo or Lagos? 2. What do you mean by account upgrade? I will need answer to the above questions before i can comprehensively answer your questions. Usually, you should receive your admission letter within two weeks after your admission letter is sent. It is usually sent by FedEx and you can request for tracking number to allow you monitor your admission letter location. If what i am thinking is what you mean by account upgrade, i will advice you not to try it. Look for sponsor that you could use his account? Also, how do you intend to pay the tuition when you get sponsor? Remember, you can have permanent embargo on you and that will prevent you from entering Canada for life. So you want to be very careful to do it right now I reserve further comment until i hear from you? |
