Heard Gervinho's work permit is pending, that's probably why he hasn't been unveiled.

Barca's arrogance is starting to get on  my nerves, first they say FAB4 has depreciated in value, now they are prepared to wait till the end of the transfer window to force arsenal to sell cheaper than d asking price; then they wanna ask for more money for already completed transfers of Toral and Bellerin.  If I was Wenger, I'd say, "Sorry Cesc but Barca can't afford you, will you like to go to Madrid, they're offering 50mil ?" No; Then you're going nowhere.

Cmon u Catalans , Pay up or Shut d f** k up.

FLOWCHART: ARSENAL’S TRANSFER STRATEGY

Wellity well, we’re here again, filling the space at the top of a flowchart with some text to make the layout on the front page passable. We could fill it with a link, but we’re almost certainly better than that.

Perhaps the most exciting thing about creating this one was knowing that Arsenal might not actually sign Gervinho. They also might.

N.B. This was written before it crystallised that they genuinely were signing Gervinho – a move which may actually have placed them beyond parody.

can you guys just pay nasri whatever he wants so fergie can look elsewhere? i don't care if y'all sack denilson, almunia, djourou, chamakh, rosicky, etc so wenger can afford nasri's wages. just put an end to this circus already.
Re: Arsenal Fans Thread (for Arsenal Fans) by debosky(m): 5:12pm On Jul 08, 2011
^^ I'd prefer it if you offered £25m for Nasri so we can get his greedy behind out of the Emirates. grin

That'll leave enough cash to pay for Mata and Gervinho and Arsene can claim to have made a profit again. cheesy

nasri is a good player but £25 million with 12 months left on his contract is reckless. who would pay such? not even man city!!!

O ga o, Arsenal sells naming rights to build stadium, money miss road people sell naming rights to an existing stadium to buy players, I wonder why Manchester City council allowed them rename it in the first instance?   undecided if you hear a scandal of councillors taking arab money in the future don't be too surprised.  grin grin
Anyway, I'm happy cos those people's plan for Manchester is da shiznit so I aint complaining as I also enjoy the good things of life. People from Abu Dhabi should be allowed to come and develop Manchester if they so choose to spend their money.

Thank you o UEFA for FFP, at least some books now need to be balanced, I expect to hear something similar soon from Chelsea if they intend to continue buying. I was laughing listening to Bobby Charlton saying Manure will never rename OT, yu've got no say in it Pops, the Glazers own the damned place and can sell it to Saddam Hussein in hell if they so desire, the worst you can do is to go wave some green and yellow scarves in the stadium. tongue rejoice in your trophies and stop speaking like an authority on what you know nothing about.  tongue tongue

another freshly prepared brain-fart from mumuface. bobby charlton is man utd! the glazers are just caretakers! it's charlton's statue at old trafford not malcolm glazer! in the next 5 years, england would have forgotten the glazers every leveraged-buy man utd.

Citeh's naming rights is something to be worried about - that will guarantee them millions of pounds of income yearly, which Arsenal is currently unable to match.

We're still doing 'loyalty' or the so called 'Arsenal way' while others ramp up their income generation to sign even more players.

what is there to worry about? it's their bloody stadium and if they decide to name it etihad, whose business? arsenal did the same with the emirates - what did y'all do with the money? grin cheesy

Point of correction, it is not theirs, it belongs to Manchester City Council, they are just leaseholders. We built our own and don't pay anybody to use it.  cool

@Debo

That is already FFP circumvention at work as Etihad airlines also belongs to the Abu Dhabi group but there is a limit to how far they can go with it. They can't announce naming deals every year so that is 120m for 10 years, I think we got 100m for 10 years on the emirates.

factually wrong? that stadium should be named gunners or woolwich warriors(where arsenal are originally from). it's no surprise that club have failed it's fans and the general public. you left your original base in south london and moved up north in highbury. from the on, you sould your souls to the dubai merchants and you have the gall to question man city's renaming of their stadium. . . .hypocrisy of the highest value.

This new trend of Stadium rights is really cool and a good way to inject cash to a team.

In about 5 years wen the current deal with Emirates is up, Apple will pay Arsenal £5 billion to rename their stadium?

May be then Arsenal will start buying proven players with Arsene retired and running his own youth academy.

Let the naming war begin,

£150 million spread over the next 10 years.

I thik its good AW has finally come out to calm our nerves a bit as regards Nasri and Cesc grin grin although we will see if his actions will match his words. But itl be great if we can keep both Nasri and Cesc plus our new signing(s) next season.

We are off to Asia. Nasri will travel with the team but Cesc and Eboue are both 'injured'
Re: Arsenal Fans Thread (for Arsenal Fans) by hannie: 12:08am On Jul 09, 2011
I still insist that the way forward is for AW to build his team around Nasri and allow Fab4 go . . .

if he tries sell the 2 of them WE WILL NOT SMELL TOP 4 . . even the likes of Everton and Sunderland will shyte on us!

Creativity in any team is KEY . . .U dont replace Cesc and Nasri with Ramsey and Frimpong . . .THATS F.UCKING SUICIDAL!!!

@IBIME

Pls remind me the person that said Bergkamp was the only WOW player AW bought? very wrong AW wasnt anywhere near . . .asides:

Arshavin was a WOW player before becoming ordinary at Arsenal!!!

With our 'creative midfield' of last season (when we had Fab and Nas), we still finished behind Chelsea who had NO creative midfielder, Man City who prefer wingers to real midfielders, and Manure whose 'creative midfielder' ,giggs, is nearly 40 yrs. Our superb creative midfield hasn't won us sh1t abeg and they (nas and Fab have bn with us for a long time)  can leave if they aren't comfortable here. If bbc is a credible source, then a £23M from the money-bags for Nas is undeniably a must-accept.
First of, i can't even imagine watching Nas play for us anymore. He has lost love from the arsenal faithful, and at least we aren't selling to Manure who will always be a bigger rival than City, plus, its asinine to let him complete his contract and watch him walk to Manure for free when we can pocket £23M off him now.
As unlikely as it sounds, this might just be Wenger's plan. Keep Fab and show Nas the middle finger for bn such a biatch. Barca is unlikely to pay 40M for fab, and Wenger won't sell him for 30M. So he could stay.
Meanwhile, its still speculation. There could still be a surprising turn of events. But I whole-heartedly will welcome 23M FROM CITY. The only thing that will make me fear that City will win the epl is if they sign C. Ronaldo.
So collect the £23M from City and pay whatever Valencia want for Mata, who in my opinion will better Nas in  performance.
