The key is to find out what you really want to do.

Look at yourself in 5years time and see where you want to be, then start by identifying what you need to do to get there, after you've done that, start breaking that down into yearly, then monthly, weekly and daily tasks you need to perform to reach your 5 year goal

By doing this, you will find out what you need to do with that money

If you want to go into buying and selling here is a good place to start,

The key to making any money will be to first identify what you would like to really do, Something you are willing to work your ass off to achieve.

May sound like a psyche thing which is easier said than done, but if you can identify what you want to be in 5 years, break that down in steps starting from 5 years later till you can come down to today and see what you really need to do to get things started, only then can you truly put that money to good use.

We are in the process of launching the first Nigerian Online Auction Platform and I would have said buying and selling there will be the easiest way to start something, However you can become a founding member starting from today at www.nigerianauctionbuzz.com.

Cheers

Hello Seun,

Thanks for your observation and participation.

I thought about this before creating this site, and the reason I decided to create this was strictly because of the questioner which plays a vital role in the development of the project.

I do welcome comments and views from you as I was also going to mail you, you are a good voice for Nigeria and would like to dedicate a thread just for this auction purpose on Nairaland with a link back from the auction site (not nigerianauctionbuzz, but the real site), this will make Nairaland the official forum for the auction platform.

I've already had a chat with the folks at the scam forums who will become a part of the section of managing fraud on the site, and I feel for general discussions regarding the business side, Nairaland can be a good base

I'll mail you more on this and my suggestions

Thanks

I see

www.globaldosh.com
Interswitch

and Zenith bank websurfer solution which I can say I trust.

However has anyone heer actually had any experience using any of these.

This is the biggest question now as these services seem to be avialable, and yet although there is a huge demand, there seems to be no one actually using them

Let’s face it Nigerians have soiled their name completely when it comes to buying and selling online.

On Ebay alone you will see items listed specifically warning Nigerians to stay away; also if you do a search for “Nigeria auction” on Google, you will only come up with results from fraud alert.

This is a pity I must say, because Nigeria is entrepreneur driven, buying and selling is in the blood. As a result because of many, not just a few bad eggs, this opportunity of online buying and selling has been blocked in many ways.

We would like to revive this opportunity to allow Nigerians use the Internet for trade with a new auction platform dedicated to Nigerian Buyers and Sellers. The site is tailored to the needs of the Nigerian community offering specialized featured tools that help make local online trading easy, eliminate anonymity, encourage secure buying and selling, encourage trade within the country and gradually with International Buyers and Sellers.

We are replicating some well known buying and selling drawbacks in Nigeria, those that include fraud and safe payment solutions allowing us to create the ideal buying and selling environment for Nigerian Buyers and Sellers.

Before the official launch we have setup a separate site for people to share their views.

This pre-launch site will also create a base for founding members to receive membership rewards that include Free Credits, Free products to use or resell or even re-brand as your own, an opportunity to be the first to know about the official launch so that you can take advantage of the referral system.

Also founding members will be added to the partner program under the VIP category to receive a lot more rewards than the normal partners.

Please visit www.nigerianauctionbuzz.com for more information and this form can also act as a base for discussion
PoliticsRe: What Can Honest Nigerians Do to Stop 'Nigerian Scams'? by nigerianau(m): 6:04pm On Sep 03, 2006
The bad name that Nigeria has succeeded to mark itself with took years to achieve, I am speaking this way because the truth is that the economy accepts it and has been working hard to gain this name.

If you are doing “good boy” in Nigeria, you will not really be able to stand your ground. Everyone in Nigeria is materialistic, and they believe that the end justifies the means… This attitude has been planted in the heads of Nigerians from when they are small.

In university, the girls expect you to have a car to drive them around, you should also have ready cash to spend if not you will loose her to someone who can maintain her…

When someone says in Nigeria “I Don Hammer”, everyone will gather round him and try to get close and, even get involved in what he is doing… It’s hard to find someone who would turn their head to the free money.

The solution is not easy, We need to create another equally lucrative business opportunity for people to be proud of… and that is really hard to do… we need total brain washing from the Chinese grin

We do have some honest Nigerians who are enjoying the fruit of their perseverance to the society, but not everyone was strong enough to endure.

I wish us the best grin
