Education / Nigerian Army University, Biu Resumes Session Despite Strike by NigerianCampus: 8:51am On May 26, 2022
The prestigious military institution famously known as Nigerian Army University Biu has resumed fresh academic sessions despite the ongoing academic strike by all universities across the six geopolitical zones of the country. This has further proven how different and unique the institution has become in the country.
As of this moment, Nigerian Army University Biu (NAUB) works directly with the Nigerian Army and therefore has no relationship with the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
This provides a unique opportunity for students willing to complete their educational careers within the stipulated schedule to enrol with the university. Nigerian Campus will provide all the necessary information you require about the institution.

Education / ASUU Strike May Extend Till 2023 by NigerianCampus: 2:50pm On May 20, 2022
Nigerian students are eager to see an end to the prolonged industrial action embarked by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) which mandated the closure of tertiary institutions across the country (universities). All efforts to reach an agreement between the federal government and the academic body seem to be in vain.
Those at the helm of academic authorities in the country seem to be busy with political engagements and consultations ahead of the forthcoming general elections. The federal Minister of State for Education Mr Chikwuemeka, who is leading the federal government's delegation has abruptly withdrawn from negotiations and subsequently resigned as minister to pursue his political ambitions.
The academic body was shocked to find out that the Minister has purchased a 100 Million Naira nomination form for the presidency under the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) amidst the ongoing academic crisis in the country.
President Muhammadu Buhari seems to be indifferent to the fate of Nigerian students because the issue of industrial action by the academic body was not discussed in the weekly Federal Executive Council even once since they embarked on strike.
The only issue that dominated the Nigerian political sphere is the forthcoming general elections which are scheduled to hold next year. As soon as the political parties conducted their primaries, it will be difficult for the federal government to return to the negotiation table because everyone will be focused on promoting their personal political agenda.

GOVERNMENT INSINCERITY VS GREEDY ACADEMIC PROFESSORS
Nigerian academic professors particularly the ASUU leadership love to project the feeling that they are fighting for the common man, agitating for the revitalisation of the country's education sector and fighting for the improvement of the quality of education. This is just a carefully erected propaganda covered with political schematics.
What these professors are demanding from the federal government is absolutely unreasonable apart from the increment in their salaries. No doubt there is a need for the federal government to upgrade the salary structure of the lecturers. However, they do not have to hold the whole academic fate of Nigerian students for ransom.

Crime / Students Demand Immediate Reopening Of School After Deborah Samuel's Blasphemy by NigerianCampus: 9:28am On May 13, 2022
Students of Sokoto College of Education have demanded the immediate reopening of the school closed by the Sokoto State government over the killing of Deborah Samuel by a mob. Miss Deborah Samuel was a student of 200 level in the school who was killed by her colleagues after posting a blasphemous statement on the class Whatsapp group.

What transpired is that a message related to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (May Peace be upon him) was shared on the class Whatsapp group which infuriated Deborah Samuel who happened to be a Christian believer. She reacted with a blasphemous voice note which generated anger and deep agony among her mates.

The next day, Deborah Samuel resumed school as if nothing happened. She was accosted by a group of students who demanded an explanation of what she said. The scene attracted more students and suddenly violence erupted.

Local security guards in the school intervened and rescued Deborah Samuel to their office but the students overpowered them and attempted to burn down the facility. Stones, sticks and other hard objects were thrashed at Deborah until she eventually died as a result of sustained injuries. Her corpse was set ablaze by the angry mob before security forces reach the scene.

The Sokoto State government immediately closed the institution to enable a full investigation into the matter. The Sultanate Council of Sokoto has issued a statement condemning the action and calling on security forces to intensify their investigations and apprehend the culprits.

The Sokoto State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of two suspected individuals who were directly involved in the incident. However, their names were not made public as of the time of filing this report.

Students of Sokoto College of Education have taken to their various social media platforms to condemn the prolonged closure of their school as it may affect their academic calendar. Some have called on security forces to completely round off the investigation and restore normalcy in the affected areas.

Education / Common JAMB Issues And Solutions by NigerianCampus: 4:36pm On May 08, 2022
Every year, our students face serious issues with JAMB but they do not know how to address these challenges. I know someone who forfeited the exam simply because he had a problem during registration.
This is why I'm making efforts despite my tight schedule to bring these common issues and how to address them. Here are common challenges we face during JAMB registration.

PROBLEMS DURING JAMB REGISTRATION
There are several issues you may face in the course of JAMB Registration. Here are some of these issues and how to resolve them.

1. Profile Code Activation Problem: This was not an issue until recently when the JAMB Board introduce the use of the National Identification Number (NIN). This has complicated issues for students and makes the entire process very frustrating.
To avoid this, avoid using other people's SIM cards. Register a new sim card and link it to your NIN prior to the JAMB registration exercise. New sim cards take several weeks before they are linked to NIN. Therefore, JAMB has provided an avenue to expedite this process.
On your mobile phone (using the line used to get your profile code), text as follows: "your new email" and send to 55019 or 66019.

2. Use Of Different Phone Numbers Or Email
Some gullible students will create a JAMB profile with one email and purchase a Pin with a different one. This will create unnecessary problems for you in the course of your registration exercise. Make sure the Phone Number or email used during registration matches the one on your dashboard.

3. Fingerprint Not Working
This issue is very common among female aspirants who use henna or powerful detergents when washing dishes and clothes. If you experience this, don't fret or walk back home. JAMB has officials who can communicate with them in Abuja so that your case will be registered. Sometimes such candidates are asked to write their exams at a later date.

4. Technical Errors
This is faced by the JAMB registration team working with malfunctioning computers and outdated gadgets. As a result, too much work affects the efficiency of these computers and they will start to misbehave.
Many times students spend several hours in a queue waiting to be enrolled for the JAMB registration exercise. This issue needs to be addressed by the JAMB Board.

PROBLEMS AFTER JAMB REGISTRATION
1. Candidates Cannot Print Result Slip: Sometimes students are very eager to write the exam that they tend to print the examination slip even before it is made available on the JAMB website. If you try to print your result or examination slip but it is not working, is because JAMB has not uploaded the results to their website. Kindly wait till they do so. Avoid listening to rumours and unverified information across social media platforms.
2. Exam Slip Contain Wrong Information: This is why candidates are encouraged to provide correct details during registration. Some registration officers are exhausted and may not care to verify the information given to them. They are eager to finish with you and move to the next student in the queue. This mistake will cost you time and money to rectify.
3. Problem Of Change Of Course Or Institution: If your JAMB result is too bad for the chosen institution, kindly buy a green card of 2500 and change. Do not waste the entire result simply because one particular institution does not accept your score.
We have abundant universities that offer admission even with 150 scores. Don't insist on going for a particular course or institution. Time does not wait for anyone.

Education / 2 Ways To Check Jamb Results 2022 by NigerianCampus: 10:30am On May 07, 2022
As you have written your Jamb examination successfully. You must be anxious or nervous to know your status as this result will determine your course of study in the university and shed light on the type of higher institution you may end up in. Do not panic, calm down as it is not the end of the world yet.
Whatever you get, either good or bad, own it! Your bad result can get you to polytechnic. There are good polytechnics that offer admission for bachelor degrees.
Do not believe that only what you study in the university will determine your success in life. My own story may scatter your mind but I ended up very well. Now enough of the pep talk. Let's get to why you are really here.

FIRST STEP TO CHECK YOUR JAMB RESULT 2022
To check your Jamb Results Online,
Open the JAMB portal at www.jamb.org.ng. It should load immediately and several options will be displayed for candidates.
Login with your registration number immediately.
Select the “Result Notification” tab and click on Check My Result.
Allow it to load and do not interrupt.
Your result will immediately be displayed.

SECOND STEP TO CHECK JAMB RESULT WITH YOUR MOBILE PHONE
Thanks to improvement implemented by the Jamb management, you can now check your JAMB 2022 UTME result using your mobile phone by doing the following:

You can also check your result via SMS by sending “Result” to 55019 and wait for a few minutes. Your result will be displayed on your screen shortly thereafter.
Open your Mobile Browser and Enter www.portal.jamb.gov.ng/efacility.
Fill in your JAMB Registration number in the spaces provided.
Press on Check Results.
Your Result Slip will be displayed immediately on your mobile screen.

Please print out your Jamb original result slip immediately to avoid having issues during physical screening exercise. Students of this year's academic session will be unavoidably delayed as a result of industrial action (strike) by the academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

Family / Sex Education In Schools by NigerianCampus: 9:55am On May 06, 2022
Just recently, the Nigerian social media space went awry after sex tapes of an underage Lagos school girl were leaked online. This development has generated extensive controversy with many people sharing blame between the management of the school, her family and the society.
Whatever may be the case, the truth is there are many such incidents but only a few grace the limelight. With that being established, parents and families must take proactive measures to sensitize their children about sex, and enlighten and therapize them when the need arises.
WHAT IS SEX EDUCATION?
In most African countries, it is considered immoral to discuss sex or anything related to sex with teenagers. It is considered disgusting and highly destructive. This is a result of limited awareness about the importance of sex education to young people, especially during the adolescent stage.
Sex education is top quality teaching and learning a few broad quiet topics associated with sex and sexuality. It explores values and beliefs about those topics and helps people gain the talents that are needed to navigate relationships with self, partners, and community, and manage one’s sexual health. Sex education may happen in schools, at home, in community settings, or online.

Roles Of Social Media And Other Entertainment Platforms
Almost every teenager has a smartphone today. It is very difficult to separate any teenager from their gadgets. Even if you successfully did, they might get another one without your knowledge which is even worst. The contents of our social media space are racy, sexually exploitive and intimidating.
From celebrities posting half clad pictures, pornographic comedies and racy advertisements contribute immensely to tarnishing the moral standards of children. Go to Instagram and see what these celebrities are posting. To them, it's fashion but to your child, should be destructive.
Try to tactically understand which websites your teenage child wastes most of his time. You must be discreet because this may piss them off. Check out what they do on their TikTok accounts. TikTok has become very delicate. One may think it's another porn site with the way ladies are showcasing their bodies.
BOARDING SCHOOLS BECOMING HAVEN FOR LESBIANISM
More like a plague engulfing our female boarding schools, lesbianism has taken over. This started from friendship fuelled by lust, sexual fantasies and hormones. Some young ladies have strong sexual urges and have to create ways to satisfy these urges.
There is a growing rate of lesbianism in most of our boarding schools. The management usually tries to calm these cases when presented to them as it tarnishes the image and reputation of the schools.

TV/Movies / Kande Gao: Meet Chinese Journalist That Broadcast In Hausa Fluently by NigerianCampus: 10:24am On May 04, 2022
Life is crammed with amazing effects. I find it veritably surprising for a outsider to suitably speak , sputter, converse and indeed lecture within the foremost dominant language of the northern Nigerian people, that is, the Hausa Language.

The pictures you see below belong to a Chinese Woman who espoused Hausa name as her name, using only Chinese surname, Kande Gao. She was born and raised in China. After she completed high academy, Kande Gao chose to review Hausa language in one of the distinguished universities in China. At that time, she has in noway been to Nigeria. With the help of her outstanding lecturers, Kande Gao was suitable to pick up successfully.

Kande Gao is a Chinese woman that works with the Hausa faction of the favored Chinese broadcasting network known as CRI. Kande and her team studied Hausa language even before stepping foot in Nigeria. She was able to master the art of the language and navigated her way through the amazing lifestyles, traditions and customs of the Hausa people.

She learned the history of the Hausa people, their origin and a couple of important historical events within the journey of the Hausa culture.

Kande Gao has never been to Nigeria until after her graduation. During her further education within the sector of history, Kande Gao visited Kano state where she studied and ran a project at the distinguished Bayero University Kano. She used the prospect to interact with many prominent Nigerians who are all of Hausa origin, a bit like the emir of Kano, the management of the Bayero University Kano also as common Hausa children on the streets.

Her perfection of the language made her enjoy massive attention on the broadcasting network. She runs a personal page on Facebook where she commited to point out Chinese language in Hausa for thousands of her fans.

Today, kande Gao is able to point out , lecture, write and interact in Hausa language fluently like all other Hausa woman. During her course of study, she adopted the name Kande which is an ancient traditional Hausa name but maintained her ancestral surname.

Also, some scholars from northern Nigeria who were studying at the same university along side her, supported her in inter communications.

Romance / Best Age To Get Married? by NigerianCampus: 12:45pm On Apr 30, 2022
Marriage is one of the most important moments of human life. Imagining the excitement or joy that will come from walking down the aisle with your love partner, this also makes it the greatest moment. There is indeed the best age and time to get married because it requires great dedication, emotional maturity and financial stability.

Many people think that age doesn’t matter in a relationship, but scientists prove them wrong. Research shows that there is a correlation between marriage and age. In country like Nigeria, people venture into marriage the moment they have temporary financial stability irrespective of whether it is the right decision or not.

There are many studies online regarding the best age to get married. One study claims divorce statistic shows the best age for marriage is around 30. Another says, according to a new mathematical theory, the best age is 26. And another claim marrying in your early 20s will lead to a lasting marriage. All these are scientific opinions or mere hypothesis.

In my opinion as a writer, science cannot tell us the best age to get married because marriage is a matter of love and circumstances, not stats and mathematical theories.

So, what’s the best age to marry? The age you are when you feel ready and when you're sure about the person you love. Whether that’s when you're 20 or 80. Do not rush into making the worst decision of your life. Do not feel threatened by the fact that your peers are getting married. There is time for everything and it does not take a rocket scientist to discover this.

The Best Age To Get Married

A Survey done by some relationship specialists found that the vast majority between the ages scope of 22 and 30 lady and man separately will undoubtedly have successful marriages at the time referenced. Well, there is fun in having to grow together and build a healthy relationship at young age. This is deem to be achieved if married within the above age range.

It has been made cleared and concurred on that the best age to get hitched ought to be before age 32 for men and maybe less for ladies. The issue of separation after that specific age increments by 5%. This is to say that men are expected to be older than their wives. There is another scientific research on this.

The Perfect Age To Get Married

April Davis, the founder of LUMA Luxury Matchmaking, told Nigerian Campus, and Menshealth: “There isn't necessarily the best age to get married, but there is the best time to get married. The best time to get married is when you feel comfortable and reliable with your job and personal life. This sounds like a Nigerian perspective. This is what is encouraged by society. Don't attract unnecessary burden to yourself simply because you cannot control your sexual fantasy.

This is the current theory adapted by most people who are genuinely out for a healthy relationship and lifestyle. Marriage should be fun and dramatic, healing and transforming.

Education / Untold Hardship Of Nigerian Student by NigerianCampus: 11:27am On Apr 29, 2022
It is no news that Nigerians go through a lot of hardship, difficulty and struggle to achieve their academic goals. But what is the government doing about all this? Why will the story not changed after several decades?. It has become like a culture to suffer as a Nigerian student. Let's take a brief comparison of our academic sector with others in abroad.

Brief Comparison Of Our Education System
When you are running a degree abroad, you are studying to becoming educated. In Nigeria, you are just schooling with no hope of being educated or getting a job. Most of our First Class graduates especially from the Arts and Management courses have to just memorize their lecture notes to pass exams. That is why they say 'school na scam' (Nigeria), not education (abroad).
Abroad, it's called tutors. In Nigeria, lecturers who crave respect and command even though most are not worthy of it. Some lecturers hardly show up in class for more than two weeks and you must write their exams at the end of semester. No student has the nerve to meet them in their offices.

Abroad, you get free modules. In Nigeria, recycled expensive rubbish called handouts. Most of our hand-outs are plagiarized content from the internet. Students do not contribute in the formation of such.
Abroad, you have discussions, interviews, responses and peer-reviews before assignments. In Nigeria, all you will hear after a while is "tear a sheet of paper". This system has to be totally scrapped. We need new reforms in our educational system.

Abroad, you have a zeal in attending classes. In Nigeria, “course rep, where is my attendance? Who has paid for my handouts?”. This attitude truncates student's productivity and zeal.
Abroad, 'A' shows you are a bright student. You may never get to get zero. there will be marks for attempting. We don't tolerate this in Nigeria. No matter how bad the performance is, a student can only change through encouragement and support.

In Nigeria, A is for God, B is for Lecturer, C is for serious students which comprises those interested in sexually transmitted grades, and yahoo boys. Yeah, this happens in our institutions but university management barely know because of how difficult it is to investigate and students do not normally come forward. I do not blame the system for this but the bad eggs among lecturers who sleep with students and compromise their morality, dignity and respect in campus.

Abroad, you can request for extensions if you miss assignments. In Nigeria, "who is your father to walk into my office to authorise me to give you grace?". Haha you dare not attempt such.
Abroad, there is serenity to learn. In Nigeria, you are always on pressure. How can you learn? Talk less of how unkempt our learning environment, hostels, lecture theatres are. Sometimes you see more than 800 students in one hall receiving lectures especially General Studies.

Abroad, you are addressed respectfully by your surname...“Mr. Smith, I am afraid you are going to have to go on detention for a week.” In Nigeria, “hey, you...Kai, if you do as if it is not you I am talking to eh, I swear to God. I will show you what you haven't seen all your life. It's not a threat. You'll carry this course over.”
Abroad, tutors get sacked for thinking of attempting to make things difficult for students by their actions or inactions. In Nigeria, go and dare report a lecturer. Your days in that school will be the days of Methuselah.

Brethren, no matter the urge you have, never you argue abroad you are from Nigeria. These are two different worlds. It is the system that made it so and the federal government is doing almost nothing to change the narrative.

Constant Strike By ASUU
As I type this now, the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) are on strike. All public universities across the six geopolitical zones of the country are closed for more than three months with no foreseeable time of reopening anytime soon.

Course of 4 years has become 6years to some students as a result of constant strike. Those who are supposed to change this have their children in foreign countries studying lucrative courses. The life of Nigerian students continue to be in constant state of uncertainty.

How Difficult The Life Of Ordinary Student Has Become
Most students in Nigeria's public universities come from poor or average income families. As such, their parents struggle and strive hard to afford tuition fees, feeding and other basic needs of a student. Some have to wait for the end of farming season to sell off their crops in order to source for funds from the proceeds.
These students cannot mixed school with business or farming. This is why they are financially broke to take up responsibilities at home. In some cases, their parents prefer them to concentrate on their academic prowess and only join business upon graduation.

Go to any public institution close to you, there will be students struggling to afford three square meal. The manage two clothes in a whole week and hardly afford time for frivolities like other students. These are the type that strive to come out with good grades with the hope of getting a job quickly after graduation. This has become another fantasy in Nigeria.

What's The Way Forward?
First of all, Nigeria students must wake up from their slumber. It is high time they are told nobody actual care for them from the authorities. You cannot waste precious time of your life trying the same thing. We must attempt to beat the system. How exactly can you do this?

Get a side hustle as a student. There has to be a way you earn money while studying. Thanks to technology, there are many avenues to earn money online. I see students are now creating YouTube channels, blogging, graphic designs, content creators, programming etc. Learn any skill you can that will help you in the course of your career.

Those uninterested in the above mentioned fields can learn any technical skills such as fashion design, makeup, petty trading etc. It will be foolish to graduate and relax at home expecting a job from the government.

Romance / Wow! 21 Amazing Apps For Nigerian Students by NigerianCampus: 2:19pm On Apr 28, 2022
All thanks to the internet, you can get almost everything for free on the web. You can also earn money legitimately if you are good. But many Nigerians are oblivious of the tremendous opportunity, information and resources that the internet has to offer.

They wallow in abject poverty while struggling to get data to burn across the social media platforms, talking and chatting with total strangers instead of focusing on their own lives. It is not that bad to chat on the internet but do not waste your precious time arguing with total strangers on social media.

Here I provide you with some great applications that are completely free and offer high value services. This will come in handy to students.

1. As a typical Nigerian student, there will be a time when you may not have data to browse the internet, do your assignments or get academic information from your coursemates. I use Stark VPN to get daily free data. You can try it too!

2. Video editing has become one of the highly demanding skills in the tech world. For those earning money from YouTube channels, I edit my videos using Inshot. It is free and highly reliable.

3. You can also earn money from graphic designs. I design flyers, logos and thumbnails on Canva. It's a great application with unlimited editing tools.

4. Sometimes you take amazing pictures and feel the need to edit or modify some of its aspects. I Photoshop with facetune2. It is easy to use and have great navigation.

5. If you are wondering how to download videos on YouTube and save directly to your device's folder, leg me fill you in. I download only youtube videos, straight to my phone with Tubemate.

6. Opera Mini offers free browsing to MTN and Airtel Subscribers. You can seize this opportunity to download for free. On Operamini, I use a website called tubidy to search and download any kind of music.

7. This is for social media savvies. I use Chrome to navigate and restore any Instagram lost page, search and monitor my social media apps and YouTube.

8. For our female students. Use Flo app. it tracks menstrual cycles and ovulation. This app will tell you when you are pregnant and start counting it for you. Very smart right?

9. CamScanner: You can use this App to scan documents even on transit as far as you have the documents and your phone with you, and you can also send direct mails through the CamScanner, it's very efficient especially when you are always on transit and need to attend to office work! CamScanner has become very popular now.

10. WPS Office: I call this App office assistant! Typing, edit, creating templates and preparing schedules!! Makes your work easy even on transit! It is a very helpful application that can allow you to type your assignments without paying someone to do it on their computer. You can open, edit and modify PDFs.

11. Stepapp: for fitness. To track how many footsteps I take everyday..also analyzes amount of calories burnt. You know Nigerian students trek alot. You will be surprised at your capabilities when you measure the distance and energy burnt.

12. Bamboo: For buying/selling US stocks. This is for those of us with side hustle apart being a student. You can buy stock, monitor the market and sell to earn profit. But you have to learn this concept entirely.

13.Waze: Navigation map. Gives up to date information eg traffic, tells you when there's a police around, indicates your current speed. This is much better than the Google Map.

14. Total files: for downloading and listening to music offline for free on iPhone and other IOS devices. A good tip to iPhone users. I know Nigerians love to buy expensive gadgets they cannot manage or maintain.

15. Polycam: For creating 3D models and images. This application is also useful. Of you are in computer science or any department in the faculty of computing, it is a great skill to learn.

16. Password safe: for storing all my password. Some people cannot keep up with passwords they created across multiple platforms. This will keep it for you in one place. It is highly protected so do not fret about breach.

17. Video downloader for Facebook: for downloading videos and Facebook status. Sometimes you see interesting videos on Facebook and wish to save it. This app has got your back.

18. Photolab: for editing pictures into cartoon like image. You can do this for fun or other things. But it will definitely come in handy one day.

19. Qustodio: parental control app for kids. Not just kids, some of your friends need to be controlled when using your devices. It is a great app to set boundaries.

20. Khan academy, edx, Udemy: free education certificate in thousands or courses from top universities. Learn many skills online for free.

21. Photomath: To help solve Maths problems. You can now solve your siblings maths assignments simply by snapping the question. The application will solve the problem for you within seconds. More fun? It is completely offline

Very interesting applications right? Seize this opportunity and install them. This is not an advertisement for the above mentioned applications. I am a student like you and enjoy simplicity.

The internet is a very powerful environment that makes our life easier. You can work with these apps from the comfort of your bed. For those using PC, check the desktop version on Google. Another funny thing is that, you can learn how to use these applications within minutes. Thanks to the professionalism of the developers.

Some of these applications can earn you more money while the others can save you a lot of money. It is up to you to decide which you need. For students in the tech field, I recommend using all.
If you have any questions on the use of any of the above, you can leave me a message using the contact form on the main page of this website.

Programming / Let's Teach Your Kids Coding by NigerianCampus: 3:01pm On Apr 13, 2022
Introduction To Kids Programming

Most western countries now teach children about programming due to how important, dynamic and advantageous it has become for people of young age. The learn faster and can remember easily. This opportunity should not be wasted by Africans.

It is no news that technology has taken over all aspects of our lives and there is abundant wealth to tap from. Nigerian Campus has presented you with an opportunity for your children or even yourself to learn coding and other tech skills that will guarantee your place in the technological world. We will provide online class with physical supervision for children in the Northeast. Kids from other part of the country will have to rely on online classes.

The e-class will be rigorous and provide enough time for children to practice together with their tutors. This will boost their brains to handle complex aspects of programming as they grow. Nigerian Campus will be the first academic platform in Nigeria to provide this opportunity for young children. Endeavour to enroll your kids now.

Can Children Learn How To Code?

This is another important question we need to ask ourselves. The answer is YES! Children have better chance at learning programming when captured at tender ages. The developed countries are way ahead of African countries in terms of this. Children are provided with all the necessary facilities in order to be better equipped for the tech world.

Haven't you read reports and documentaries about children hacking satellites, CCTV, government servers etc? Don't you wonder how they do this? It's quite easy when people learn complicated programming techniques right from childhood. However, Nigerian Campus will not teach your children how to exploit the internet or hack government servers. Our programming methods will be completely ethical.

How The Program Will Run

We will interview and analize each and every potential students of our online classes. This will give us the ability to ascertain the level of comprehensibility of each kid under our program. Since there is nothing like use of force to compel students to program, each kid will solely determine how the programming classes will run. It is more of students oriented class.

Children learning programming

Two phases will be available. Morning and night classes. Special sessions may be held during the day as the need arise. There will be absolute compliance with time to enable us finish our syllabus in time. We will encourage kids to bring problem so that we provide practical solutions together in order to encourage participation and boost their enthusiasm.

What We Expect From Each Child

Nigerian Campus expects each child to have a computer with at least 4GB RAM, durable battery and an internet connection. All our practices will be automatically back up to company e-drive. Enough time to practice during workdays, assignments on weekends and special session at nights when the need arise.

Nigerian Campus will oversee children performance and their commitment in software development to ascertain who can continue with some of our most advanced programs after graduation. Parents are encouraged to join our sessions periodically to monitor progress of their children and boost their confidence in learning processes.

Get a good laptop or desktop for your kids, let's set him off into the tech world. Technology is the new oil well and has become a safe haven against epileptic poverty in Nigeria.

Why Children?

Kids are naturally brilliant with fresh minds and full of curiosity. This will be a huge advantage to their career in the tech world. Permit us to use this opportunity to add glamour into the lifestyle of your children by unleashing huge knowledge of programming into their brains.

We cannot verify the authenticity of adults interest in learning coding. Some are only attracted by the benefits but once they start learning, they get bored and uninterested. Truth is, it takes time, patience and huge commitment to excel in coding.

Added Benefit For Kids Who Cannot Code

Those who are naturally uninterested in learning coding will be subjected to rigorous training on graphic designs, knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Gadgets. This attracts less fee than the others.

Nigerian Campus can also teach your children how to blog to start earning money immediately. Your children will be able to design and upgrade their blog at the end of our class.

Romance / Why Women Urinate During Sex by NigerianCampus: 9:32am On Apr 08, 2022
Urinating while having physical intimacy does not happen to men because the male reproductive system has a way of stopping urination while having intimacy. Only men who have had their prostate removed during prostate cancer surgery can experience this condition.

However, this has been a major challenge for some women who experience involuntary urination during intimacy. According to Healthline, some women experience this health condition for the following reasons:

1. Some women urinate during intimacy because of involuntary urination. It's not something they planned to do, so they can't control it.

2. The arousal they have during intimacy forces their bladder and urine duct to release some urine, especially when the muscles of their pelvic floor are weak.

The urine flows slowly during the climax because the muscles of her bladder are having an involuntary contraction. This shows that her bladder is hyperactive and makes her feel like urinating immediately.

3. Some women have a higher chance of urinating during intimacy when they are pregnant or after giving birth. If the nerves in their bodies are impaired due to diabetes or stroke, they will experience it.

If she uses certain drugs or her bladder is influenced by alcohol or caffeine, she has a higher chance of experiencing it.

4. Involuntary urination can also happen during intimacy when physical intimacy puts pressure on a woman's bladder.

Women who experience urination during intimacy are advised to do some exercises that can strengthen the muscles of their pelvic floor. Kegel exercises will help you achieve this.

The exercise will be done when you are urinating and the muscles that you use to pause urination will be exercised.

This will also strengthen the muscles that hold your pelvic organs and the ring of muscles that shrinks to close the opening of your urination.

This exercise will give you control over your urination and bowel movements so that they won't happen involuntarily again. It will also boost the flow of blood to your reproductive organs.

Education / What's Next After Failing Jamb?: My Story by NigerianCampus: 10:11pm On Apr 07, 2022
Many young Nigerian students with aspirations to proceed with academic education at higher level got their hopes truncated by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB). To many students, this is a career changer because potential medical students end up studying agricultural related courses, lawyers end up at college of legal studies, etc. Jamb questions are very simple but tricky. Many of our students are not trained to answer tricky questions but only to answer correct answers.

If you fail Jamb woefully, never feel like it is the end of the road for your academic dream because it may be a blessing in disguise. Let me give you a short story about myself. During my time at secondary school, I was very excellent at science courses and this perfection was fuelled by my dream to become a medical doctor. I was so good in Biology, Chemistry, English etc. My parents supported me immensely to read hard in order to achieve my dream.

I wrote my first Jamb and it was good. But to my greatest shock, I couldn't make the admission list for MBBS. I nearly cry if not for the constant patronage I received from my father. The next year, I applied for MBBS at the prestigious university of Maiduguri. Same thing happened when the admission list was released. Despite my good grades, my name was deliberately omitted. It was very painful and disappointing.

Instead of allowing that result to go to waste, I applied for a change of institution and selected Nigerian Army University Biu. With the hope that I will apply for Jamb next year while already in Army University. The Nigerian Army University approved my admission in less than 24 hours. I was given Software Engineering. It is a very good course to study but I wasn't interested in anything that is not MBBS.

I wrote my third Jamb while already in 100level. I applied for MBBS again in a different institution. This particular institution costed me great resources and time as I couldn't focus well to study for software engineering exams. By the time the institution released its admission list, I was already in 200 level. This particular institution also gave me another huge disappointment. The problem is not even with my academic grades but with the system. It has failed me.

I wasn't hurt badly this time because I'm already a 200 level student of software engineering. With this twist of fate, I succumbed to destiny and embraced the software engineering with all my heart. Started reading hard and competing with other students for better scores. Gradually, I became very good at it as I mingle with great minds in the tech industry. This also gave me the opportunity to learn about different online platforms to earn money.

I created my first blog, created many sample websites and worked with top media organisations in the country including Opera News, Gloomme etc. All these was accomplished while still undergraduate. My eyes opened to reality and I realised that the tech industry is the best avenue for an average Nigerian guy striving to earn a living. It is the only place where the players have equal opportunities unlike other sectors.

Within few months, I have earned huge sum of money as a result of my skills. It turned out that missing MBBS was a blessing in disguise. Eventually, I realised that my love and passion for MBBS was fuelled by the fear of not getting a job after graduation. But learning software engineering made me the boss. I work for myself, the way I like with no pressure from anybody. The beauty of it is that you can work from the comfort of your bed. I forgot to add that I achieved all this without even graduating. I'm currently in my final year. Can't wait to finally graduate and unleash my full potential to the world.

The reason I wrote this is because I know there are many students who will be failed by the Nigerian system. Do not give up. Make your dreams come true through hardworking, dedication and zeal to learn. Give failure an opportunity to open a new world for you. Thank you all.

Nice institution. The only snag is the location. Many of my colleagues left to go teach there.
The institution pays higher allowances with fully furnished accomodation for staffs. Better than normal universities.
Education / Nigerian Army University Biu Admission Tips by NigerianCampus: 8:36pm On Apr 06, 2022
We all are aware of how competitive it is to get admission into the prestigious Nigerian Army University Biu, this may not be unconnected to the series of advantages the institution offers for Nigerian students. Nigerian Campus has simplified some of these processes and will highlight some important factors that may work in your favour as an admission seeker. Let's dive into what the Nigerian Army University Biu is all about and why you should endeavour to study at such a prestigious institution.

The Nigerian Army University Biu is a military institution being run by the Nigerian Army. However, the institution does not run military training. It is just like other public universities across the country. The university offers admission to Nigerians from all the states of the federation. There is a reserved admission slot for military personnel who are interested in pursuing a degree. Upon graduation, students are not enrolled in the army but are only given certificates and other necessary documents.

Why People Think Army University Train Students To Join Military up

This rumour or false pretences were fuelled by the pioneer students of the institution across social media platforms. More than 50% of the pioneer students were aspirants of the Nigerian Defence Academy or the Police Academy but failed to gain admission. As a result, they applied to NAUB because it is the only option at that time. Many of these pioneer students started posting pictures in the military camouflaged with NAUB badges to create false awareness that they are in a military university. The presence of soldiers in the university has helped standardized this false claim.

When the situation is becoming worrisome for the management of the institution as a result of incessant complaints of impersonation, the university management issued a disclaimer on their website and warned members of the general public from believing such nonsense in order not to become victims of fraud. This has helped created clarity on the matter. However, up till today, some students have continued to wear military camouflage when they return home for holidays.

Admission Criteria For Nigerian Army University Biu
Nigerian Army University Monument

As difficult as it has become to obtain admission, there are useful tips and guidelines for aspiring students that will help in securing admission. These include the following:

1. Number of applicants per state:
Because it is a highly sought after institution, the management has come up with a solution to enrol students from each state of the federation. So if there is not much from your state, you can look into the next stage. However, if there are many applicants, do not panic yet as there are other criteria to be evaluated by the admission department.

2. Academic Performance:
Like any other institution, academic prowess matters in admission processes. Get a good UTME score of at least 200, nine credits in either Waec or Neck then you are good to go.

3. Lobbying:
In any situation or stage in this country, lobbying plays a significant role in achieving the desired objective. Therefore, if you have connections with influential personalities, you can reach out to them for favours.

4. Original Documents:
Some people have become professionals in forging certificates of birth, academic results and other related documents. Come with your original and genuine documents to avoid prosecution.

Why You Should Join Army University Biu

The Nigerian Army University Biu does not go into industrial action. No strike by academic or non-academic staff of the institution. This is a great opportunity for Nigerian students willing to complete their course within the stipulated time. We all know that some people have to spend additional years in other institutions as a result of reckless industrial action that affected the quality of education in the country.

Politics / What Every Nigerian Fresher Must Understand by NigerianCampus: 2:26pm On Apr 02, 2022
Congratulations to all Nigerian students who are fortunate to get admission into tertiary institutions across the country. I know you must be nervous and eager to resume lectures at the university. However, there are things you must know about our tertiary institutions to help you navigate through a series of academic struggles. Once again congratulations.

Life On Nigerian Campus

As you roll into your new hostel, some of your perceptions about the higher institution will change immediately. Most of our hostels lack serenity, cleanliness and basic hygiene. There is high hope that you may be greeted by an oozing smell from kitchen drainages or bathrooms. However, you should not be too disappointed because the lack of hygiene can be mostly attributed to the people living in these hostels and not the authorities.

Each hostel block has designated cleaners to keep it clean every day but the pace at which it turns unkempt will shock you. Anyway, get good people who are very serious academically as roommates. Believe me, this is the most important decision that will determine the rest of your journey at the university.

It is normal for most Freshers to look clumsy because of the new environment they found themselves in. Strange and diverse people from the six geopolitical zones of the country. Meeting these diverse people will be advantageous to your stay. Make friends with people from other tribes and learn some of there ways of live. I remember meeting Yoruba people at Army University Biu. I remain friends with some of them till date.

Academic Expectations Vs Reality

How lectures are conducted differs entirely with normal system that we are used to in our secondary schools. If care is not taken, you may end up missing a lot of classes during your new days simply because you do not know the venue. Worst is when you end up attending lectures meant for 400 level students. To handle this issue, create a social network with your coursemates, ask your class rep to add you into WhatsApp groups to obtain all relevant information regarding your academics.

You may be expecting only members of your department at a particular lecture hall, but you will end up meeting the whole faculty students in one big hall like Titanic. I remember during my first days in Nigerian Army University Biu, students of three faculties (Computing, Engineering, Environmental) were attending GST courses at same time in one multi purpose hall. We were about 700plus.

In cases like this, try as much as possible to attend lectures early. Book front seats and engage in other activities as you await your class lecturer. 100 level is usually tough and hard. This is because you are trying to adapt to new settings which you are not used to.

Things To Prepare For

1. Hostile Attitude Of Nigerian Lecturers: some lecturers are very mean and unfriendly. They do not tolerate students at all. So be careful how you talk or behave around such people or you may end up getting carry over even before you sit for exam. All thanks to Almighty Allah I haven't come across such lecturers during my days.

2. Disappointment From Those You Consider Friends: As a fresher, you are bound to make friends easily on campus because you will be exposed to diverse people. However, some are only after your finances, foodstuffs etc. While others may lure you into secret groups or convince you to join bad gangs. This is the right time to remember your home training and never disappoint your parents.

3. Security Concious: The whole country is ravaged by insecurity and threats to life talk less of your campus. There are dangerous and mischievous creatures lurking at our schools. Do not stay late at night. If you must, do not be alone in remote locations. Walk among your peers.

4. Eat And Maintain Good Hygiene: you may come from poor background family but do not use that as an excuse to live dirty and unkempt. Poverty has nothing to do with dirtiness. The little food supply you came with, manage and eat regularly when the need arise. Do not be stingy or hoard food. If you meet good people as roommates, it will be wise to eat together and share the little supply you came with from home.

5. Do Not Underrate People: There are people who look very poor and struggle to make ends meet in school. You see these types of people washing others clothes, doing assignments for money etc. If they tell you there story, tears may overflow your cheeks. Do not underrrate these people at all cost. You never know what their story will be tomorrow. Respect and live in harmonious relationship with people irrespective of their religion, culture or background.

6. Create Good Connection: You networking skills will determine who you rock with in the future. Do not go chase after girls, make the right relationship that will be beneficial. Those friends will play significant role in your life after school. That being said, treat them better with love and respect. Remember, there is life after school.

Important Things To Do As University Fresher

There seems to be high number of unemployed graduates in not Nigeria. Some of these unemployed graduates have started to say that the university certificate is becoming useless. That is not entirely true. Do you know that more than 85 percent of these unemployed graduates have second class and third class degree? Imagine having this grade in a country where there is high competition for getting a job! Therefore, to be among the very best, you must make plans for the future right from undergraduate days.

Try as much as you can to graduate with second class upper or first class if possible. You have high chance of getting scholarship to foreign countries for your master's degree. There are thousands of international organizations that offer scholarships easily which many Nigerians are not even aware of. Nigeria Campus will continue to bring scholarship alerts that are less competitive.

Make a good study plans right from your 100 level of you so much desire to get a good job after graduation. Interact with those who understand better and learn their ways. Ignore the unserious students who roam campus aimlessly. Some of them have connection while others are simply non academic students.
