Politics / Re: Death Trap:nigerians Risking Their Lives On Expressway(pics) by Nigeriawhichway(m): 7:48pm On Dec 17, 2014
Honestly am perplexed with this whole thing, I don't know how to go about this. I tried to get a flag for the Agboro guy that normally flags down vehicles for the pedestrians in the morning. Still I wonder how he manages to do that , with the rate at which vehicles speed on that express. I am going straight to the Facebook page of the contractors in charge to remind them what their priority should be.

Nigerians wake up!!

mods pls could you relocate this thread to front page?

Politics / Death Trap:nigerians Risking Their Lives On Expressway(pics) by Nigeriawhichway(m): 5:35pm On Dec 17, 2014
This has been irritating me for quite a long time now, been postponing this message till ages ,not until I past same location today. The rate of recklessness displayed by the masses and the government is so alarming.
Its is about a major highway (Enugu Onitsha Express Way) and a crossover bridge which cut across a very busy junction called "MCC JUNCTION" and connects Onitsha to Awada through Enugu Onitsha Express way.

It baffles me that our government could allow such busy road to be without flyover for ages, without the consideration of the thousands of people that risked their lives everyday to get over to and fro Awada and Onitsha. Finally the construction of the bridge across the "FOUR LANE" expressway kicked off about a year ago.

My problems are;
1. why did the contractors not put in place security measures to reduce the rate of fatal accidents on the road? like putting notices here and there for over speeding vehicles to slow down ahead of a busy junction(not junction precisely).
2. Why is the construction of single cross over bridge taking ages to complete?
3. Why is the government overlooking practices that endangers the lives of the citizens?
4. Did the contractors and government not know that the bridge should be the prioritized ahead of the express way construction.
5. Why are we citizens act like we are not bothered by the state of things, even when our lives are in danger?

This is an express way cross over is notorious for ending people's lives en mass each time it happens. At least i have witnessed two occurrences in the month of July and August , I came at the scene few minutes it happened and saw few dead bodies lying dead, with others injured . I also learned that a van has taken some dead bodies away ,and would still come back to carry the remaining . All I could hear from the crowd that filled the express way was "Jesus Jesus Jesus" , and some other women crying, hence i had to bark back at few of them calling "Jesus Jesus" ;"Shut up! Jesus Jesus Jesus, is it Jesus that killed the dead? do you expect Jesus to raise them from death here? Will Jesus solve the problem here(which is completing the flyover)". I told them that if it were in western countries , the citizens would not waste time to carry the dead bodies to the government house or who ever that is in charge, blocked the express way, and would calm down until their government makes the flyover it's priority.

Our leaders, contractors and my fellow country men and women, let us wake up and make this great nation a habitable place.
We must not we wait until all of us are victims before our ghosts can move to make the changes we desire?
Bellow I have some clips to show you the extent of risk undertaken by your fellow citizens,

Politics / Re: Special Report: Salary Of Nigerian Senators. by Nigeriawhichway(m): 8:20am On Dec 13, 2014
Should we still fold our arms and watch all these? Is it not enough reason for the youths to say no to these glaring injustice to us and our future generations? Leaders are "called to serve" and should not be "called to be served". Why do the youths shy away from all these.?

Politics / Re: Peter Obi Shops At A Local Market ( Photos ) by Nigeriawhichway(m): 4:57pm On Nov 29, 2014
Why do we Nigerians keep celebrating mediocre. This Mr. Peter Obi performed below my expectations and that of many Anambrarians.
During his regime, Onitsha in particular was filled with touts who harassed hardworking citizens and rip them off their hard earned money in the name of unfounded tickets. Many groups who masqueraded themselves as Mossob members were committing all sorts of atrocities openly during his tenure. Onitsha was and is still the dirtiest place I ever lived( more on this later). Many Roads were abandoned and the gutters turned into a refuse dump. Some said his performance was ok, but i counter that(i have solid points and evidences), He performed below average .

So Nobody should cheer or celebrate politicians who misplaced their priority.

Education / Agitation!!! No Need For Jamb Access Code by Nigeriawhichway(m): 2:49pm On Nov 25, 2014
It has always been this way from the time immemorial; the few rich always want to have all to themselves to get richer, wishing the rest multitude to get poorer, but this system of life will not continue in this our Great Country Nigeria,Technology should not bring hardship to this nation, rather it is meant to ease our complicated lives.

In the year 2012, JAMB introduces this online register that requires thumb printing and it was a welcomed idea because it signified a technological advancement. But, this technological advancement was not pure and transparent, it was geared toward crushing those infant firms. With the evil motive, they (JAMB) introduced CAFE ACCREDITATION SCHEME because they feel that, even though those infant Cafes/firms could buy the Finger Printing Machine, most of them will not be able to afford to pay Ten Thousand Naira (N10,000.00) to be accredited, so they will fade away. But, unfortunately for them, this never came to reality as most of the Cafes at least above 85% were able to Pay the Ten Thousand Naira (N10,000.00) to be accredited, hence such infant Cafes were not crushed as they intended them to be.

Of course, this Ten Thousand Naira (N10,000.00) was call a Refundable Monitoring Fee for accreditation and that we should send our Bank Account Details, that the Money will be paid back at the end of the E-registration Process if there would be no violation of rule (not to charge above N700 per registration). But at the end of the 2012 JAMB registration, the money was not refunded, instead JAMB brought up a different policy in 2013 to SWALLOW UP that money, which of course is a breach of Contract (A SHOW OF UNACCOUNTABILITY).

And behold, it has now come to this point that Cafes should not register JAMB again but Institutions only should. THIS IS A FOUL PLAY! The rich get richer and the poor get poorer! The Rich must not be allowed to continually marginalize the Poor. JAMB E-registration Portal must be accessible to register this JAMB in their/our various offices/homes provided all machines are available.

So how can we achieve this?

Here comes the call for AGITATION. We must stop this habit/character of "anyone that get to the top want to get all for self, letting the multitude get nothing",keeping mute whenever we/others are been marginalized, accepting every ill-structured policy thrown at us.

We must Agitate through the Medias.

We will send Open Letters to the Federal House of Senate and Representative, The Minister for Education ETC appealing to them to call JAMB to order to call-off this UNJUSTIFIABLE/EXPLOITATIVE PRACTICE to keep the E-registration Exercise Portal open/accessible to anyone (Cafe or Individual) who have the Required Machines.

And while writing these Open Letters through the Newspapers Media, (This Day, Vanguard, Punch ETC) we shall as well coping the PRESIDENCY.

While these Newspapers are Circulated and been read, the same day or next, some of us will arrange to go on NTA and AIT National News with the same Complain and Agitation.
