that could possibly work, but Mertens to me is much closer in style of play to Hazard than Pedro.

Pedro is more direct and is the kind of guy that likes to run onto a throughpass.

That Mertens role is for a striker who prefers to drop deep to either create a midfield overload, or to collect the ball and run at his markers.

if not that Hazard is just an unserious somebody, that could literally be him.

I'm sure Sarri has seen that Morata is not the world's greatest 9.

Tactically, Morata and Callejon are very similar players. Quite quick, and like to make execellent runs in behind the defence.

What if Morata is shunted wide to play the Callejon Raumdeuter style role.

Hazard is converted to play the Mertens false 9

and Willian is the new Insigne.

The only problem i forsee is Hazard actively rejecting any role that requires him to score goals.
