topacs: Why not send an enquiry email to TRA to know what the problem is, so u know ur best line of action.. Thank you, I actually thought of doing that too just a bit careful since it's not up to the 90days window stated on their site. Except it doesn't really matter. |

Ytechconst: Just be patient for TRA, if they are not able to get through to your school they will definitely get back to you to contact your school requesting that they send a verification email to a specified email address. Thanks a lot |

It's been 70days I applied for my TRA assessment, should I request my school to send a verification mail confirming my qualifications or wait till I am contacted by TRA? Thank you. Ytechconst: Firstly I’d advise you assess base of any field you have a 2-3years formal education in the trade from a technical school because TRA mandates you have a formal education in the trade aside trade test certificate.
Also on challenge with assessing for Plumbing field is that you are required to travel down to one of the OSAP recognized country like South Africa to have a practical assessment and that might cost a lot of time and resources. So I’d advice you look through the requirement for welders field.
Visit the TRA link below: https://www.tradesrecognitionaustralia.gov.au/programs/migration-skills-assessment
I actually assessed for Cabinetmaking and all I submitted was my Trade Test Certificate 3&2, Technical College Diploma and National Technical Certificate all in Furniture Craft and Cabinet Making that I’ve earned as far back as 2003. Then a job reference letter, pay slips for the past 10years, LIRS tax card.
With all the above after 3months of filing in for assessment I was asked to contact my technical school and also the federal ministry of labour and productivity that issued my qualifications to send them a verification email confirming I earn my qualifications from them, I did as they requested and in a week time I got positive assessment. |

It might be your school delaying luvluvluv: Hello FAM,
Its 90 days already and TRA is yet to give me feedback on my assessment. I contacted them and they said third parties in my country r delaying the process.I have contacted my employer if a mail has been sent to them and they responded no.
What could it be?

fatima04: If you have a B.Ed with a duration of 4 years and also did teaching practice during your course of study, I believe you should be fine according to the AITSL guideline. Thank you for the response..had to ask since I am from a tier 2 university.. want to know if it's okay to go ahead. |

Good morning every one.
I have a copy of my transcript though addressed to another body. Can I scan and upload this copy in assessing with EA or do I have to get a new one from the school addressed to EA directly. |

kamotisha: 1. Yes you will pay extra. 2. Download the EA MSA booklet. You will understand in no time. 3. Chances are very high. Depends on how fast you can work.
All the best. Thank you |

I came across this thread recently and it has been informative. A big kudos to everyone.
I have a B.Eng Mech Eng, Age :39 with a family of 4. I am preparing for my ielts exam by next month and I am hoping to get at it as soon as possible because of the age(almost 40).
I am hopeful to be assessed as a professional engineer and I intend to claim work experience as i have 9 years experience in my field.
My questions 1) do I need to pay extra for my work experience to be assessed by EA as well as choosing the fast track option.
2) still a bit confused about the career episode and the CDR.
3) what chances do I have before I get the final response against my next birthday which is in Oct next year. As I am hoping to claim point on the age before I reach the 40yrs mark.
Thank you. |
