@ mariory,

i did not click on all your links but i clicked on the first one and its a US website, ofcourse it is going to support your argument of Hezbollah being a terrorist organization (since US is one of the few countries that says it is one).
The one you pasted again is also a US website too.
You say i am living in dreamland why dont you let me be huh

@ davidylan
I have only told you on two occassions that i will get back to you. You think i keep running to wikipedia. i don't deny i go to wikipedia to find out facts (they do have references just in case you did not know).
You come up with supposed facts that are supposed to show that Hezbollah is a terrorist group, and you don't think its wise for me to find out or go research your claims (mind you i was not born with infinite knowledge of Hezbollah).
Well i am honestly tired of you, cos you accuse others of being biased when thats all you have potrayed in most of your posts that i have read.
You keep claiming how ignorant other people are but i think it is pretty obvious that your the one that is ignorant when you cannot see the other side of the story but want people to see your on side.

davidylan:
When we refer to the "world", we are not talking of Sudan, Venezuela, Iran, Iraq, Yemen, Syria e.t.c. Even a tiny tot knows the US, the EU, Asia and Russia make up the "international community"!
I think someone has been brainwashed. thats part of the problem in the world today. So these group make up the intl community and the rest of the WORLD can go to blazes abi huh

davidylan:
No ma'am, what makes you ignorant is the fact that you were not aware the 4 "civilians" were actually soldiers on a peacekeeping mission as part of the UN force in Lebanon (UNIFIL)! Yet you kept "standing by" your half truths!
talk about half truths. the 4 were UN observers not part of any peacekeeping mission (you know the peacekeeping mission came after the ceasefire right huh)
Foreign AffairsRe: Israel vs Hezbollah/Lebanon by nilla(f): 11:29pm On Aug 23, 2006
your wrong wikipedia actually has more detail than the link you posted about the UN soldiers.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attacks_on_United_Nations_personnel_during_the_2006_Israel-Lebanon_conflict

Your new list on terror attacks by hezbollah i will get back to you on that.

@ Mariory,
the only thing i have to say to you is if your looking for a thread with very brillant people alone or people with your level of thinking, you can go ahead and open one and make it restricted to the ignorant ones ok. i am sure your people will follow you.
Like i have said before, i don't claim to know all. If i knew all i think it would be useless for me to join this thread. I am here to learn and also state my opinion.

@ davidylan
in response to the 2 paragraphs i said i will get back to you about.
i have learnt some things now about why there was peacekeeping force in Lebanon in 82/83. But still your claim on why you label Hezbollah a terrorist group is baseless because of this quote from wikipedia.

It is uncertain as to who is responsible for the bombing although several radical Shiite militant groups claimed responsibility for the attacks, and one, the Free Islamic Revolutionary Movement, identified the two suicide bombers as Abu Mazen and Abu Sijaan.[3] Despite the fact that they were not officially an organization until February 1985, many (notably the U.S. government) believe [2] that the Hezbollah, a Lebanese based militant group backed by Iran and Syria, was responsible for this bombing as well as the bombing of the U.S. Embassy in Beirut in April. Hezbollah, Iran and Syria have denied any involvement.

Many in the U.S. government do not claim Hezbollah is responsible for the marine barracks attack. For example in 2001 Caspar Weinberger, Secretary of Defense under Reagan at the time of the attacks stated: "But we still do not have the actual knowledge of who did the bombing of the Marine barracks at the Beirut Airport, and we certainly didn't then." [4]
why dont you name some other terrorist attacks that hezbollah has carried out.

For all those that don't like or trust wikipedia as a source, thats your cup of tea. I know i have gotten some good references from wikipedia for all kinds of topics.
Foreign AffairsRe: Israel vs Hezbollah/Lebanon by nilla(f): 4:25pm On Aug 23, 2006
I would get back to you on your first two paragraphs much later cos i need to sign out now.

But your last paragraph, here we go:
there is no fickleness to my post. Maybe we should be asking you now if Israel should be considered as terrorists seeing that they killed UN people + some other innocent people huh
I'm sure you know very well that those 4 UN people were not soldiers/troops (See you telling half truths or lies) but UN observers.
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/07/25/world/main1832266.shtml
And I don't think the work of an observer is to go and fight, or to go and expect to be killed.

very correct indeed
Foreign AffairsRe: Israel vs Hezbollah/Lebanon by nilla(f): 3:50pm On Aug 23, 2006
@ Afam thanks for your compliment.
They can talk about Iran having nuclear weapons all they want. I still think if one county has all other countries have a right to have one if they are capable of making it.

@ Davidylan
i would look more into
the murder of 248 US peace keeping troops and 59 French peace keeping troops by Hizballah suicide boombers in 1982-3
While i'm looking into it, maybe you could tell me what those troops were looking for in Lebanon?
Also your talking about military troops not civilians, so big difference (they are in the military not in disneyland {In combat its kill or be killed, if you don't like it get out of the military}).
PoliticsRe: Which Zone Should Produce The Next President? by nilla(f): 6:55am On Aug 23, 2006

Foreign AffairsRe: Israel vs Hezbollah/Lebanon by nilla(f): 6:19am On Aug 23, 2006
@ davidylan

So they only become terrorists the day they bomb your father's house?
Ofcourse not. Al qaeda does not have to bomb my fathers house, but yet i know its a terrorist group (e.g. because of 9/11). You have still not told me what hezbollah did to you or to make you call them terrorists.

And yes i could claim you posted lies by claiming ONLY US, Canada and Isreal recognize Hizballah as a terrorist organisation and conveniently leaving out Saudi Arabia, UK, France, Germany, Italy e.t.c.
As at the last time i checked only those three considered them a terrorist group.

I am checking again

Isreal - A recognized nation by the UN
Hizballah - A "recognized" terror organization
Hezbollah is not a recognized terrorist organization. Only US, Canada and Israel recognize it as such.
