Guys why is 57 degree east C-band so elusive on 1.8 metre. The signal keep skipping in the southwest. Is this the case for every other location? Also, is it possible to have 20'w nd 68'e on a motorised 1.8metre. I'll Appreciate the contributions of my gurus.

@ olason provide it in mathematical expression and let them unscramble. At least doing little mental sum will make pple appreciate it and pple can always direct them to the little exercise without much noise. That's all!(lazy pple can then be ignored). My guru's in the house pls help. I hv tried all technique to improve my signal on IS20(especially sony) and to even complicate the whole thing my signal has already dropped to 72% on aljazeera. I believe the strong c+ku lnb could be the culprit as the noise figure is at 17°K. I think the rate of success so far has been with other c-band lnb apart frm that combined model on 1.8m(pls correct me if I'm wrong). The frequency(3900) only flash green @ 54% and turns red in split seconds.

It took me 2 days to get Sony, my Aljazeera was 81% while Sony was 58%. I discovered that my 1.8m had some bent curves on the edges. I just strengthened it and Sony rose to 62% and became stable. You can use 4922, it is the best so far.

With that percentage you should hit green. just make sure the 0 counter on the lnb points at 12 clock and push the lnb inside.

Thanks talenty, i'll try that but i'm a bit skeptical about the decoder i'm tracking with maybe the sony package FEC of 5/6 could be the reason. Maybe i should just use the 4922a directly to see if it will turn green. God bless!

Hello friends, i was able to hit aljazeera t.p on IS20 @ 77-78% but couldn't get the sony package. I'm tracking with strong mpeg 4 model kindly help.

I will advise you use the link below to first do a pre-assessment of yourself, click on each of the selection factors and see your grading. In most cases, a one year work experience may not earn you sufficient qualifying points except when age is on your side. Besides, i think i've once read it somewhere that a National Service is not counted as work experience(kindly research it yourself as i'm not too sure). Make sure u're using the right parameters. cos i could see a wrong symbol rate for multi tv on the picture posted(instead of 27000). That's if u're tracking multi tv though.
