Jose Mourinho has told Juan Mata he can quit Chelsea after his furious reaction to today’s 53rd minute substitution at St Mary's.

Mata ignored Mourinho when he walked off the pitch at Southampton and then slammed a seat in the visiting team dug out as he vented his frustrations.

His replacement Oscar, who was booked for diving, then made two and scored one in Chelsea’s comprehensive 3-0 victory

7 points out of 9 from the festive period so far. I cannot complain. . .

Not the best perfomances we could have mustered notwithstanding, we are still well placed after the first half of the season. I believe we would be stronger going into the second half of the season as only a fool would bet against these lads finding some form, which would make us irresistible at the business end of the season.
