I hear that Ineos is prioritizing summer transfers rather than January’s. Lol. I am seriously worried for us. I suspect we will try to keep Amorim and get him 3-4 players in January, but the whole 3-4-3 won’t work and we would still get relegated.

What you don’t know if if players don’t suite a style or are not in sync with the manager’s tactics, they will never perform. Only very few superstars will try to make something of anything that the team don’t agree with.

Our attack is remain flat and Rasmus isolated until we can get players who know how to play the formation wella..

Using screw driver instead of a hammer to nail something won’t ever work. We possess the ball mostly at the back because our runs are being tracked by opponents. Also, switching to back 5 when defending won’t allow us make easy transitions when we snatch the ball off opponents. 3 at the back when attacking exposes us to swift counterattacks. Everything is just wrong!

Just look at the graph below. It was not like this last season or two seasons ago. This is solely on the coaching team.

It’s both. The players can’t play the formation which also means it’s not working. The formation is quite technical, demands speed, energy and intelligence, and is very different from the common 4-4-2 or 4-3-3. The current players can’t do it, does not mean they are bad. Amorim needs to tweak things a bit to allow us stay afloat until he gets some of his type of players. You will be surprised how things would start to improve with just one or two modifications to the formation. Everyone is struggling.

I also think Amorim’s back room staff is not well experienced. They were successful at Sporting, but the EPL is different with the teams quite adaptive. As soon as a loophole is found, small teams (including bottom 3 ones) will exploit the same weakness to beat the hell out of you. That’s what we are seeing with the set piece goals we are conceding.

Amorim just said he will continue with his idea till the end. Good luck to us and to him!

I really want to back Amorim. But he also needs to be slightly flexible. Make do with what you have until you get your players. We can’t keep losing games. Maybe he should have asked to join during summer with at least 5 new players.
