Luke Shaw that should be playing that position is a constant hospital case. I don't think there is much Amorim can do this season except to study the players that can fit into his system and try to get rid of those who can not play the system. I don't think the hierarchy are expecting him to win any trophies this season. This season is probably to steady the rocky ship Ten Hag left behind.
The bitter Truth is that majority of these players are just not good enough to challenge for league titles or Champions league titles which is what United should be aiming for.

No one is asking him to win trophies or anything this season, but we can’t be playing like this against Bou and Nottingham forest. It’s a tabooo!

Steadying a ship means winning against small teams and probably making top 8 or something, and ensuring we see progress overtime. We cant wait until changing all 15 players.

Amorim has a lot of chopping and changing to do in January and the summer. So many of these players have to be sold.
They are just not good enough.

Amorim himself has a lot to learn as well.

This man should have started Erasmus and have Zirkzee come on. Zirkzee is just too big with less energy and speed upfront. Damn it!

We seem to be doing lots of long and overhead balls today. Probably because Zirkzee is upfront, but I think we can play on the ground against Bou.

Actually, that’s how Athletico play, against the big boys. They defend while relying on your inability to covert chances and converting one or two chances they create from counterattack or opponents’ mistakes.
