Newly recruited getting pissed off because they did not present their highest degree during the recruitment process is not getting the right picture

1) There is a slim chance of being recruited with your First degree than other lower qualifications. Your certificate is as good as what you use it for. A first degree holder without a job is not better than an employed SSCE holder.

2) The under- employment clause on your appointment letter is clear. You cannot present a certificate you obtained before the job for upgrading. This cannot be fair to those that decided to apply with their first degre certificate and did not get the job because of stiff competition

3) The paramilitary service is even lenient. In the military, you have to wait till there is a general recruitment to even present yourself for Conversion to the officer's cadre.

4) Bad blood, feeling bad is a very bad sign that you have chosen the wrong career path. People that have never worked for the government can succeed more. Nobody is enslaving you. Just make your choice and decisions

There's over 10 different kinds of form that that you will fill in regards to this employment.

You can use current account from any bank...and you can also register with a pension fund manager before coming or you'll open one at the immigration headquarter....Don't mind the time scheduled for you documentation,just come early...pay attention to detail, ask questions and note that you'll take 2 or 3 days to finish everything as regards the documentation and ippis capturing but SURE of getting your APL that day....and eat before coming cos you'll write and get tired... I got shortlisted, I shed a tear when I saw it, because it's a bitter-sweet pill. I'm rounding off my M.Sc, but I got this job with my SSCE. I'm glad I finally got employed, but 5 yrs uni 3 yrs msc wasted. This country is not it at all, nonetheless, I'm not complaining, I give all thanks to Almighty God��. And to those who didn't get shortlisted, stay strong, when the time is right, it shall happen, pray always.

That's good. Just pray you get to the final stage and get the job. I believe promotions can be done as time goes on during the job. But I doubt if it can be done in the screening process since you got what you applied for.
