In as much as I condemn what the woman did, this only happening because this woman is poor and ignorant of her rights.
So what happened to the man?
Where is she banished to?
Would they try that if it was a wealthy and educated woman?
The laws she broke are those of God Almighty and not of the state, so therefore she cannot be displaced like that.

Rates differ because of the type of underlying assets that each manager invests in. There are different Shariah-compliant products with different risk and returns, so the rate of a particular Halal fund with one manager is bound to differ from the other. For the same reason, you see the MMF with First Ally or Norrenberger higher than that of Stanbic or United Capital; it's all about the management team and assets invested in at a given period. For you, as an investor, your concern should be the category your investment choice belongs to ie if it's low, medium, or high risk, which determines what you get in the long run.

You are looking at two different firms doing the same thing, maybe using different methods. It's like MDBs. It's just like asking what is the difference is between a savings account at GTBank and one at Zenith Bank. A savings account has the same structure irrespective of the bank but the rate may differ slightly, as may customer service or the method of account opening, etc.

Halal generally is a faith-based investment irrespective of the firm that is managing it. So what you have in the two firms you mentioned has the same structure but may be managed differently.

My only observation now is that I subscribed to the Halal balanced fund and upon processing I'm seeing that my principal amount has reduced by about 3%!

They are big (currently managing about 410 billion naira assets under their mmf). Their mmf rate has remained consistently above 17%. Deposit is instant. I withdrew only once and I got credited within an hour.
They automatically send your interest to your account at the end of every quarter, so if you want to reinvest your profit, you'll have to send it back to your account every quarter. Deposit attracts 100 naira charge. Capital remains there unless redeemed.
I once sent them an email on a Sunday and they replied on that same day(Sunday) and fixed the issue, so I'm thinking their customer service can be rated high.
They've been in asset management since 1994.
They need to improve the user interface of their App, especially for stocks trading, but the App works fine.

AI can hardly replace humans given that it is only as good as what humans put into it or train it to do......another angle is that AI can be trained to elite level which would mean that provided the right engineers and resources is being put into it's training it is expected to get better with time and could still serve as a threat to human expertise in certain aspects of human endeavors... nonetheless,this move looks like a Greek gift....these self centered employees are looking to have these rehired engineers train the AI with their own knowledge/expertise which could mean that if everything goes well, they will still be disposable in the nearest future....if I were them I will either refuse to train the AI or ask that my pay be made x10 or even include a huge payout clause on my contract that if I am fired to be replaced by AI I will be paid a huge amount of money as compensation.
