Nothing special. I understood this behaviour when I started using a pair myself. Those are simply reading glasses. They magnify words beyond their normal sizes. They're not convenient for looking/seeing far, hence the wearer would have to push it down so as to use the eyes to look around or far.

I have a pair of those and I do the same thing if I don't want to take them off immediately. I wear them if I have to read from a book or work with a computer.

I equally have another bifocal pair that allows me to read and look around without have to pull the glasses down the nose.
