She was actually very instrumental in discovering the Jackson5 from which Michael Jackson broke off from. They even lived with her for some years so she watched them grow up. She helped to shape MJ's early music career and he went on to become the king of pop. She was also Michael Jackson's first love as he had a big crush on her. It took him years to recover from that as she found him too young to be with. Lol.
