The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has assured candidates, who sat for the November/ December Senior School Certificate Examination of the examination body that they will start to get their results in two weeks time. This was made known by the Deputy Director, Public Affairs of the Council, Yusuf Ari on Friday in Lagos. According to him, "We had finished the marking exercise for the November/December SSCE for private candidates since November… The entire process of conducting and collating was quite impressive because there were no negative reports from any of the centres nationwide… We used limited logistics, and this to a great extent relaxed the pressure we normally had during the May/June examination," he added. He however, pleaded with candidates and other stakeholders to be mindful of the activities of touts around the offices of the council in order not to be victims of their nefarious plans. He said there was need for members of the public and the government to assist the council in its effort to protect innocent citizens from the persistent exploitation by touts. On this, he say "We all need to join hands in fighting these fraudsters who stay around our offices, looking for innocent people they would mislead by issuing fake certificates… We have made a lot of efforts to sensitise the public concerning the activities of these people, but still wonder why many people still go to them for transactions." |

redsun: What goes on in nigeria as a whole is complete madness, but because average nigerians have a typical picture of madness as the half naked, ragged man/woman that roams the streets without a care in the world, they think they sane for the simple fact that they wear cloths or drive cars.Lol... It was a good sight to behold as two mentally challenged people, a man and a woman, trilled the public with laughter when they took the centre stage dancing and kissing eachother. The crowd at the busy express junction of oyigbo LGA of Rivers State were thrown into suspense when this mad man they were fond of, popularly called 'GALAXY' came out flaunting his new found girl friend before his entire friends, the bus drivers, and traders at the express junction. It was more of dancing and kissing, an incidence that caused a dramatic scene whereby men and women abandoned there business only to feed their eyes with what seem to be the first of its kind in the town. The scene being so intense and dramatic also drew so much emotions and for those who could learn from it, it goes to show how we all needed to be loved, going by the way the mentally challenged lady confided on her lover and found great confort in his arms.. "wonders they say, shall never end" Unfortunately, i wasnt with my mobil @ the scene of the incident... I 4 snap taya www.fb.com/schoolsonpoint |
