By 1993 he had totally eroded our values. Civil servants were no longer proud of resisting bribes and the dishonest ones seemed to rise. Also the police force was weakened like never before. Even if he hadn't donated the $21 Billion to the OIC he weakened the structure of this country enough to ensure that it would be powerless in the face of insurgents less than twenty years after he left office. |
IBB is the man that allowed for 419 bosses and crooks alike to be celebrated like rock stars. |
Your dad was a warrior's warrior. His selflessness, bravery and sacrifice is the substance upon which society is built upon. Heros like him have guaranteed our safety and give us the opportunity to come online and make noise from the comfort of our homes, bars etc He has done his duty to God and State and has gone to rest in the bosom of the Lord. God bless and comfort you all. Romans 13:3-4 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: 4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. |
Gbawe: I don't think you need me to tell you that prejudice and bigotry are characteristics that do not choose when to be "brought out". It is your prerogative to assume the APC is somehow responsible for the prejudiced utterances of Nyako and FFK but those two, like most of us, are who they are.You are talking about preconceived opinions while at the same time refusing to acknowledge two bigots found a place where they could call "home" and broadcast dangerous inciting articles stereotyping an entire group of people unchallenged by the chieftains of the party. even in honour of the relatively few igbos who have a stake in the party if they don't care what the generality feel. Also for the record ffk attacking a political party is NOT the same as him attacking an ethnicity, abi u disagree? |
Gbawe: No one in the APC asked FFK to write "anti-Igbo articles" and in case you have not noticed he is doing same against the APC now he is a PDP member. That is what FFK does that a sensible person cannot assume indicates the character of the APC. Why then do you talk as you do if we are not dealing with the biased and unobjective mien that makes you taint what/who you do not like with notoriety while you fail to see same in yourself or anything/anyone you support? So going by this your logic above if I don't acknowledge that both of those toads were honed by pdp (where they couldn't afford to be bigoted) because they were there "longer" I now am failing to see the same in "myself or anything I support"? Quit horsing around have u ever seen any igbo politician writing long historically inaccurate xenophobic hate speeches before? |
Gbawe: Was Nyako not a PDP Governor far longer than he was an APC Governor? This is the very essence of our discussion here. I.e the way some folks always see ethnicity and partisanship in everything. You talk as if Nyako and Fan-Kayode are somehow exclusively representative of the APC when both are just cross-carpeting politicians going where their bread is buttered. Did the APC completely hone the character and political outlook of Nyako and Fani-Kayode when the Party did not even exist when both first gained political office? Yet you and another Igbo chap have given Nyako's utterance as reasons to view the APC as anti-Igbo when he was a PDP Governor not too long ago !!! No one in the APC asked FFK to write "anti-Igbo articles" and in case you have not noticed he is doing same against the APC now he is a PDP member. That is what FFK does that a sensible person cannot assume indicates the character of the APC. Why then do you talk as you do if we are not dealing with the biased and unobjective mien that makes you taint what/who you do not like with notoriety while you fail to see same in yourself or anything/anyone you support?Could you kindly tell me why those two misanthropes could not broadcast such, vile, volatile garbage when they were in PDP? Why does the PDP-APC cross-carpeting bring out the bigot? Also clarify what you mean by "fani kayode doing the same thing against APC"? Ffk wrote hate articles against an ethnicity, abi does your party now represent a tribe? |
I respect Uwazurike's intentions but he should leave igbos and APC matter. APC in itself is running on a motor that is antagonistic ab initio to igbos. Strangely the party's bigwigs have expressed anti-igbo sentiments and boldly too. Fani Kayode the coke head as a consummate follow-follow guy joined APC and to feel among, quickly started writing anti-igbo articles. Let's not even go into clowns like Nyako. |
ajani1978: You must be mad or you need psychiatric medical help. Let me tell you if you don't know. Gen. Abacha create Fuel subsidy 1995. When the tanker drivers protest against carry fuels from Lagos to North. When the masses protested Abacha reduced the price of fuel. Under Obasanjo the masses cried and he told them "no going back" |
Kwakwakwa! I no like APC but Omisore na very hard product to sell. E nor go win |
Good luck OP. I don't think that man has worn a suit since he was 20 or something |
ElFenomeno1: Half a million troops?!Biafran troops lost were about 40,000. The FG troops were only prolific in killing civilians. |
kettykin: The causalties that Benjamin Adekunle's 3MCDO was inflicted on during the opretion OAU which he embarked on with 35,000 soldiers and only 300 escaped alive to tell the story is a typical example.Wasn't it last year that some nigerian war veterans were protesting non-payment of their pensions that they angrily spilled the beans that the embarrassed FG has been sitting on since the end of the war. The FG lost at least 500,000 men. See this news story from last year http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/05/biafran-soldiers-protest-in-ibadan/ ‘We’d have fought for sovereignty of Biafra’ on may 06, 2013 at 5:42 pm in news Facebook Share Twitter Share By OLA AJAYI, IBADAN HUNDREDS of angry military pensioners in the country Monday besieged the Oyo State Secretariat saying they regretted fighting against Biafran soldiers to ensure the unity of the country. They said if they had known that the country would repay them in this wicked manner, they would have fought for the survival and sovereignty of Biafra. The retired soldiers who spoke through their Chairman, Mr. Mr. Gabriel Oiakhena said, “we have been pushed to the wall. The families of over 500,000 soldiers who lost their lives in Biafra are suffering. |
WombRaiders: Obama is a bastard...and any of you NSA twats flagging this postObama is the anti-christ's house nigger. That's why he's in the white house |
ba7man: GEJ till 2019!!!!Its really funny to see ppl who don't like gej quickly play the ethnicity card and instantly accuse others of doing the same thing. So you are affirming that anybody who supports gej automatically doesn't like northerners and southwesterners? Very very flawed way of thinking bros. |
Brimmie: Bullshyte!! All their Weapons are imported via the Southern Ports. You are very very wrong. |
saxywale: The French and south Africa also fought on your side...there are so many videos on YouTube to back up the fact. If not for the backing of some few world powers, the NA would have run your territory to the ground in 3days pere.Laughable ![]() A handful of south african and french mercenaries doesn't amount to state support |
Definitely Superman for Dc and Sentry for Marvel |
