The soldiers that committed the most war crimes were of northern extraction, and igbos lost more property in the SS that even in the south west as a result of the locals grabbing abandoned property.

Nothing these Tinubu's pet animals do can ever surprise me again. On this same NL I remember when they used to upload pictures of naked starving Igbo children during the war for fun. Northerners used to stay far from such vile behaviour

If Amaechi gets APC ticket the north will give him plenty of votes because he has done a lot for them at the expense of his own region. The South-South will not vote for him because he basically did nothing for them and PDP rules that region.

SW and SS in particular will never vote Amaechi because he is one of the masterminds of the Water Resources Bill that aims to take watersides from the states and place it under FG control. SE of course can never vote for him no need delving into details

Tinubu's touts are the most hateful and tribalistic human beings in the world. Very bitter, abusive creatures but also very daft. The north used them to fight Igbos from Jonathan's government days as a strategy so they think if they attack Igbos the north will give Tinubu the presidency in 2023 grin

IPOB has already lost 90% of its influence in Igbo land due to the disastrous ESN idea. If the guys on ground don't end this nonsense sit at home bullshit and dialogue with Soludo then IPOB will be history in Anambra very soon.

ESN and the decision to apply violence is what destroyed the agitation. I dont see how IPOB can be salvaged

Mehn! OP this your question is very very significant.

Igbos threw their support behind GEJ who is the best president we have had since our return to democracy in 1999 but some animals we call fellow country men were trying to incite genocide against us because of our good decision.

If it had been us that supported Buhari to become president by now they would have been murdering our people in the streets

Calm down and discuss like a grown up. Lagos state bought LCC in 2014. But small research i just did shows that the state did not pay off the company's debts instead has passed it on to the common man

ecolime:
Good evening guys!

Please I beg you in the name of whatever you serve, don't derail this thread by turning it to tribal fights. I want us to learn and want others to learn also.

I am Yoruba and this thread is for us to learn.

First of all, everyone here knows I dislike Tinubu and all that he represents. The simple reason is because he was majorly the brain behind the coalition that brought in the present government into power.

GEJ's government had a lot of goodwill coming into power but his tenure was wasteful and millions of us thought Buhari would do better. We voted enmasse for Buhari/Osinbajo but alas, it turned out to be the worst ever decision by many. We were simply deceived.

Things have gone from Bad to worst in the last 7 years and most of those (Tinubu, Bakare, etc.) that Protested and rallied people against GEJs government see nothing wrong with it. So to me, Tinubu can't bring in an evil government, stay silent for 8 years and then convince me he's the best thing we need. NEVER

I mostly live in the SS and the people of the place have long moved on from the the defeat of their "son". The region even seem more peaceful now than when GEJ was in power.

I do not want to believe it's ethnic hatred for Yorubas like some people always say because Obasanjo is Yoruba. He was president for 8 years, he has always spoken against Biafra, he fought in the civil war but yet Igbos like him more than Yorubas or so it seem. This might be disputed but we all know he enjoyed massive votes from SE compared to the SW where he hails from.

So, to my South East guys... Do we share the same sentiments? Do you dislike Tinubu for his role in bringing in this government or are there other reasons? None of my friends offline have given me clear cut reason hence the reason why I brought it here.

There's more but here is a sample -

1. Tinubu created an atmosphere of anti-Igbo tribalism in Lagos which he sustains until tomorrow through his miscreants and urchins both online and offline. Not all yorubas dislike Igbos but all Tinubu supporters hate Igbos. That says a lot...

2. When Tinubu was governor was the only time Igbos were hunted down and killed by yorubas in Lagos since the civil war. He did nothing and said nothing about it except the usual press statements. Igbos decided to move on for peace sake

3. He and his wife have continually profiled Igbos over their electoral choices. Before the 2019 elections he threatened the Igbos economic interests diplomatically to intimidate them into voting the demonic APC.Let's not even talk about his boy the oba of lagoon in 2015...

4. His thugs specifically targeted Igbo majority areas in the 2019 elections in Lagos to prevent them from voting. It was unofficially called "press jorginho" and happened in areas like surulere.

As a crafty politician he employed some Igbo house slaves like Joe Igbokwe in LASG but nobody is deceived.

We have activities without requite actions and personnel to move us forward. If we continue in the same pattern of recycling, sweet-word campaigning, manoeuvring without the substance of integrity, honesty, patriotism, commitment, outreach, courage, understanding of what makes a nation and what make for development, we will soon have to say goodbye to Nigeria as a nation.

“I cast a cursory look at some of the people running around and those for whom people are running around. If EFCC and ICPC will have done their jobs properly and supported adequately by the judiciary, most of them would be in jail. Any person who has no integrity in small things cannot have integrity in big things.”

Obasanjo, unarguably one of the prestigious global citizens from Africa, was Nigeria’s democratically elected President between 1999 and 2007.

South East is in trouble. Let's not deceive ourselves. There are terrorist camps and they seem to be able to operate without the security agencies even trying to clamp down on them.

These are cultists and hoodlums operating under the canopy of ESN and with this kidnapping as a way of raising money there is no telling where it will end. I trust ndi Igbo once we don belleful for nonsense these criminals will be buried alive. Even the IPOB that started all this will not be able to rear it's head again because they failed badly with this ESN experiment

Politics / Re: Any Igbo Still Supporting UGM Doesn't Mean Well For Igbos by nku5: 10:14am On Mar 01, 2022
Rich4god:
With what I have seen in the east, anyone still supporting the action of UGM and their unchecked killings doesn't mean well for the east and Igbos at large.

We might not understand the economic impact of their actions till 3-5 years time. At a time when prominent Igbos are beginning to come back home to invest and build empires in igboland, the action of UGM especially the killings and sit at home is already chasing them away.

Just last week, some prominent Igbo men from a popular market in Kano went home to attend the burial of a friend that was killed by UGM in Anambra. During the wake keep, as the men where retiring back to their hotel, they were ambushed and kidnapped.

These are men well known in Kano. Now it's possible that the kidnappers have no link to UGM or ESN, but UGM have created an atmosphere of crime and violence where criminals can commit offense while hiding under the cover of UGM.

What prompted me to create this thread is that I have a function in two weeks time in the east, and all the men that I have invited who are Igbos are now calling me, sending me money and telling me that they can't make it to the east due to insecurity.

My cousin brother in imo told me that these days people don't drive flashy cars so as to avoid been a victim.

I knw of course that people will attack me and call me afonja or aboki, but I knw where am from and last month that I travelled to the east, it's obvious that the atmosphere there is not what it used to be.

When these killings started in the east I used was among those in denial. I thought that Igbos could not be the ones behaving like boko haram and just slaughtering innocent ppl. But now it's become obvious to anybody with a brain that there is a problem...

An uber driver told me that a man that he carried to the airport going to the east for a burial was shot while heading back to his base. The most unfortunate thing is that many Igbos have become zombies who cannot think. Tell them the truth and their brains can't handle it
