Romance › Re: Do Not Ask Me To Marry!!! by Nkysuccess(f): 5:39pm On Jul 12, 2016 |
Milonis: So you said I should marry Who should I marry? Is it the vain girl who spends an entire day campaigning online with senseless selfies on instagram? Or the one who posts semi-nude pics on facebook for a thousand likes? Is it the girl who has no interest in books and loathes the sight of a library and knows nothing of her country, economy, politics? Or the one who wraps mounds of fufu In a daily newspaper and dies daily to wear brazzilian hair on an empty-brained head?
Which girl are you talking about? Is the regular 'TGIF' club girl who knows all hits and chews gum for a career and orders food cos she will 'die' cooking? Or may be the 'soji' girl who's a pro In 'shakitibobo' and whose sense of fashion outweighs that of reasoning? Please do not ask me to marry! Why are you crying? I thought you guys love and admire the slutty ones more than the decent ones. You people even encourage them to be wild, slutty and hot as singles. Why are you complaining? If you are not aware, ask your fellow guys, if you like remain single for all I care. |

anetuno: What a story! You know we are such hypocrites that people are applauding you. The principles involved in marriage are becoming more and more universal and I wonder why you think these observations made in this article are out of place in Nigeria because you think our own women should be ready to take all the abuse and mistreatment that nineteenth century wives endured from characters like you so that their marriage will succeed while the men will excuse themselves and continue to pull in a different direction. You have to realize that Nigerian women are now getting the kind of education that their western counterparts get and are now more gainfully employed like their western counterparts so the issues of marital challenges are similar and make this piece relevant. People like you have to shed the toga of 'I am an African man and my wife must obey whatever I say and has no right to make any input and if the marriage fails it is her fault and I can go ahead and take another wife'. This is twenty-first century and we must learn and share ideas that will make things work out for us. Your idea that Nigerian marriages should be cast in iron and it is the duty of the woman to make it work is fantastically outdated. I will advise those that are liking your post to read through the entire piece and take whatever they may find useful and apply it in their marriage and relationship, this piece doesn't claim to be a manual of how to make marriages work. You are very correct. Ten gbosa for you |

I understand you brother, its not easy working for a boss that does not know how to talk to his staff. Criticism is part of life. But I encourage you to believe in yourself, also believe in God, and don't let it get to you. This one will pass and everything will be OK, such is life. |
