The fund management business of Investment One was sold to GTCO about 3 years ago, which is what birthed GTfundmanagers.
Hence GTfundmanagers is the asset management arm of GTCO.

In my candid opinion, I think they don't seem to get the business right. I hope they learn fast and know that fund management is different from banking. Please note that it doesn't mean your money is not safe with them if you decide to go with them. All parties to the fund are intact.

They took the business but did not take the online access aspect along. Investment One had a strong online presence and good customer service. GTfundmanagers mismanaged that aspect. I had to quickly port when it was becoming too frustrating.

Sell for how much and buy toks for how much?. A mechanic will still work on a tokunbo car. Tokunbo cars are not a guarantee. You will still be visiting mechanics.

Before you take the car to quacks,when u buy the new engine or b4 u buy the new engine. Forget bench test bullshit, tell the seller to open the spark plug,he should bring 1 spark plug out and u inspect,inspect the exhaust holes if they are dirty black or tan brown. Tan brown good sign,dirty black,burning oil..make dem no go sell dead engine give u.ladipo boys are evil.im talking to u corolla bank type users. Don't rush to mount engine ,do engine flush first be4 mounting toks and change all plugs first. Keep the follow come at home.

I have spoken to somebody that the mechanic bought engine for about two years ago and he confirmed that he has had rest of mind since then and he uses his own Toyota Corolla for Uber.

That light showing is caused by worn-out main bearings (aka metals) and or worn-out crankshaft.
You can either replace both crankshaft and bearings (metals) if the crankshaft is way out of spec or get a good machinists to measure and cut the crankshaft to an acceptable size and get it's corresponding bearings for it.
That should fix your problem.
While at it, try and thoroughly clean sludge off all oil passages and inspect the oil pump.

The mechanic said that fixing the issues will not give a long lasting solution. The car is now old. Do not want to go back and forth of repairs again.

I noticed that this red light comes on my Toyota Corolla(Bank Type) once the temperature gauge gets to centre of the gauge especially when iam in traffic but once i rev, it disappears and also when i leave traffic and the temperature gauge drops below the centre, it disappears.

Please what could be the issue?.

A quick update on this issue. After so much back and forth of repairs with no permanent solution, iam thinking of replacing the engine completely. Please does anybody know the price range for a complete engine for Toyota Corolla(Bank Type)?.

Ok cool, there are two places water can mix with your oil,One via the gear box oil cooler,this does not get into the Engine, or if you head gasket is gone, number two yu will see the creamy bit inside your Engine oil sump, the 1st yu will see the creamy bit inside your gear box, so did they tell you which one was it?cos as we speak, I have same problem with my RRS but its the Gear box oil heat xchange unit, Its not serviceable and oh there is also an Oil cooler right under or by your oil filter too .So keep checking your radiator for oil in water or check your oil deep stick for water in oil. Monitor it for a week or two, I bet you any money that's where your problem lays, it has to do with oil.

The mechanic mentioned something about the gasket. That has been replaced. I will continue to monitor. I hardly change mechanics because once a repair is done, I give feedback if I notice something else. Having driven the car for more than 10years, I can easily sense or notice when it is not what it is.

No. They have fixed that. The car was worked on for two days this week. The creamy tea like substance only came once. I did not see it when I check the oil this morning. It was normal. Also the water was not short. Will check it again tomorrow morning.

Plug is another thing that gets one tired. Once you replace and another mechanic sees it, he will say it is fake and replace it and another says the same thing. So it becomes a cycle.

Wrong OIL,if your car was made B4 2008 the correct weight is 5W30 after 2009 it is 0W20,
On your Engine Oil cover it should be written on it.So you have been using the wrong oil ever since, who ever told you to use that Oil had no clue, just like so many self acclaimed Engineers aka road side. This is why I advocate for owners of cars to at least invest 1 to 2 hours of thier life to familiarize themselves with the kind of fluids and what the correct measure of it is to their car so that they can make informed decisions. People always want to sell what they have in Nigeria no one is honest when it comes to selling what they have and don't have.

Thanks for this key information. I avoid roadside mechanics for servicing because of this. I expect that Total servicing in Total filling stations will know and that is why I have been doing it there for more than 10years. I will adjust appropriately during the next service or do you suggest I drain out the present oil and switch to the 5W30 immediately?.

The car is Toyota Corrolla(Bank Type). I have been using that grade since as it was recommended at Total as i have been doing the servicing there for many years now.

Aside the areas the other guy mentioned above, the sump was opened to clear the sludge, i changed my radiator to a brand new one and voila no issue again.

The car has been shorting water but was fixed yesterday. Despite the heavy traffic yesterday evening, this morning when i check, the water was not short

You do not need to gauge your oil daily, but since its an issue you should monitor it.Regards the sensor, make sure you buy a brand new one.Also ask them to check to see that your oil pump is working proper,.Do not change your oil,this is waste of money
Let me ask, what is the weight of Oil used? do you know? is it something like 5W30?thickness

Total QUARTZ 5000 20W50. Most times, i go back to service once the car has done 3000km.

This particular issue showed me shege, listen to the man above.

The thing is funny. Never had such issue before for the more than 10years i have been using the car. The car was bought brand new then. So i have been very meticulous in the servicing. I even traveled with it for Xmas from Lagos to Edo North without issues. It just started middle of January.

Btw, what was the final diagnose of your own and how was it fixed?.

Could be
Oil gauge sensor malfunction
Oil shortage
Sign your Oil pump is failing.
Either of that is Dangerous.

I have been on the issue. The electrician that now worked on it this week said that it is the oil gauge sensor and will need to change it instead of repairing. The mechanic that even repaired it this week also change the oil. The mechanic and electrician were both on it.

This has nothing to do with satisfying the Authority rather to save your pocket, How on earth can someone be driving and they do not know the Engine Oil symbol? just How ? and that Symbol is the worse one to ever show up in motion it is usually accompanied by catastrophic Engine failure.

Well, i read a lot on it as i always do my service and information was that it can be tricky sometimes and not necessary an oil issue. The car moves very well and does not even make any sound. It only begins to show when iam in traffic for a long period and the temperature gets to middle. once i begin to drive and the temperature gauge drops, it disappears. Btw, i do not use roadside oil to service as i service from the filling station of one of the major marketers. My alarm started triggering when it started occurring during traffic.

Do not even start that engine to warm up. That's if the damage has not been done already anyway.

You are either low on Oil, burning oil badly, having oil pump issues, having oil leaks or your oil level sensor is acting up due to wiring issues.

Start praying it's the last of the scenarios indicated.

How do I now fix it or take it to a mechanic if I cannot start it or if a mechanic comes and wants to take it to his workshop?.

I checked the oil and it is not low.

As I said earlier I can drive without the light showing if there is no traffic and the temperature gauge is below centre

You could ask her if she'd be okay with using the PDF versions/copies of these books. Aside from having all her books wherever she is, it'll also help cut on the costs.
Corollary: The specific text books will be dependent on the particular school she attends, so she can ask her seniors for advice. Some schools don't even emphasize the use of textbooks, lecture notes might be just fine (though not for every course/subject). So it depends, but she should definitely get Netters Anatomy Atlas.

They were given an orientation by their Dean before the holidays and were advised to get a laptop as it will help them better to read the PDF versions from a laptop instead of from a phone. So iam getting her a laptop.
