1.5% of your funds goes to their pocket every year to manage your portfolio
Is it 1.5% of capital or 1.5% of interest earned?.

Before financial experts and statistician come for further clarifications.

Let me try to explain with my little understanding. The coupon /interest rate on the FGN Bond 2025 you posted to be splitted and paid bi-annually is 13.53%. The actual amount for that bond when auctioned was N100. The amount they are asking for it now is N107.240. If you buy it at this rate now, you have paid extra N7.240 for it. Even at that, the coupon/interest rate will not change.

For example, If you are to invest N100,000 you are expected to get N13,530 annually to be splitted and paid N6,765 on the 25 Mar and 25 Oct yearly. Now if you buy it at that asking price, you will pay N107,240 to get the same N13,530 annually.
What of the 'Yield to Maturity'?. What does it mean?.

If you are a non-indegine, you must beat merit. I used to know peeps who were non-indegines but gained admission same year I was seeking admission. They got Med. LAB and Computer Science respectively

I don't know about now. I think then, they wrote PUTME.

As per your folks; they actually applied the most competitive courses in KWASU. Chances are low. Change of course is advisable.

Their fees are quite high (not so much though), but not unexpectant for a State University. Check Google for a comprehensive fee structure.
Thanks

KWASU is one of the fastest, if not the fastest school I can say in Nigeria. It's academic calendar is fast and can compete with it's private counterpart. That might be the basis for his argument.

Meanwhile,. I never knew they have started MEDICINE. MED. LAB. is what I have known over there.

Meanwhile, if the school is yet to gain full accreditation, it might bear risk, though not a wrong decision as long as he can endure.

If you ask me, I'll say; let him. The most important thing here is to gain admission. Then every other thing gets sorted later. I am sure you don't want him gambling with that his score. What if he regrets later? Please can you allow him bear the consequences of his actions?

My Opinion though.
Please a few questions on KWASU.

(1) What is the chance of a non indigine from Edo state getting admission in KWASU?.

(2) I have three people that got 218(Law), 182 (Accounting) and 172(Medicine and Surgery). Federal university is out of it. What will be your advise if they want to switch to KWASU?. They are all from Edo state.

(3) What is their fees like?.

I've been using that link since sometime last year. They sent it via email so I guess a lot of folks rarely access their emails.
The only thing is that the portal is not as updated as during the Investment One era.
Never got a mail on it. My mail box is opened at least 8hrs daily. Last year, i had to call their line before i got my statement and that was after sending mails several times without response.

The above could just be personal claim by the company as there is no avenue to verify their claim.

I was having an account with investment and followed their movements from the easyinvest to ziing.

I have tried both my email address and customer number on the above links and it keeps telling that an error has occurred I should please try again later.. so you see, nothing seem to be correct with them so far.
I just tried it and it work for me.

The abuse and criticism got to them. You can see that they had to go back to what Investment-One had.

They are still on probation to me sha. I will wait to see how the service works to determine if i will still stay with them or increase my funds.

is Easyinvest owned by GTCO or Investment-One?. If GTCO cannot come up with an online access, they should swallow their pride and use the Easyinvest of Investment-One.

Even without merging sef..
Their cut-off marks (UI, OAU, Unilag) has always been high, So juggling two academic session together is never the cause of the high cut-off..
And beside, UI has never for once merge.. only OAU and Unilag does.
UI normally cancel a session which causes a spillover to Unilag and OAU.

Who told you 299 is not enough for medicine in federal university? if you can score 80 in uniben pume which is possible, you stand a very good chance of getting medicine.
He wants a SW university and iam sure it is Unilag that he wants. Unilag, UI and OAU are notorious for merging sessions which is what is responsible for their high cut-off marks.

Am from edo state...buh wish to study in the south west

Why the bias for pharmacy am a male, please tell me why not pharmacy
Admission into Medical schools in SW especially into UI, OAU and Unilag is very competitive. Edo does not have any catchment in any SW University. All SW Universities have all the SW states as catchment. If you miss Merit cutoff, you only stand a chance if you are from one of the ELDS states and Edo is not among the ELDS. When going for a competitive course, it is always better to choose the Federal university in your state. That is why the FG has put a Federal University in every state.

I want to believe you are based in Lagos. Most Lagos based people do not always want to leave Lagos to Universities outside Lagos and i always wonder why.

Anyway, Pharmacy is a good course.

Btw, iam from Edo state. My daughter scored 299 for Medicine. I chose Uniben for her because of catchment even though iam based in Lagos and she was born in Lagos.

299 jamb score

Mbbs (buh can't be enough for federal university in the south west

Medical degrees
299 is high. Do not think there are that many 300s in this year's JAMB. If you are from a state in SW and the university does PUTME, a good score can give you a chance with catchment.

Anyway, i have always had a bias for Pharmacy especially for females if you are a female.

Do they now have an online presence?. There was no mail to that. Iam already planning on moving my investment from there. They took a good process over from Investment One and became incompetent with it. A whole outfit owned by GTB does not have an online presence nor a Mobile App.

Stanbic IBTC MMF handler are seriously misbehaving this days. It seems there is no particular pattern/calculation/rate they use to credit the fund. They just wake up and credit account whenever and however they like. They want to damage the trust/ reliance people have in them. What's keeping my little fund there now is just the fact I can withdraw and my account will be credited within 24 hrs if not by now I should have left them totally.
With all these information about Stanbic MMF, iam now having double mind opening an account with them.

Who has information about FSDH MMF?.

I think they're different ooo, with COT being way higher than account maintenance.
But in my opinion, even this account maintenance of a thing too should be scrapped ,
All these extortionate policies just makes banks lazy and not do what they're suppose to do for national development.
I mean ,why should work hard and undergo the painstaking process of finding credible people to sell loans to while i can just relax and debit money from hardworking existing businesses and invest people's deposits and the money i borrow from CBN in government bonds and securities?
Na all these loopholes banks dey exploit weh dey hold this nation economy.
They are not. It was COT at ₦5 per mille (₦1,000). Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as CBN Governor reduced it to ₦1 per mille (₦1,000) and then totally scrapped it. When Emefiele came in, he re-introduce it as Account Maintenance at ₦1 per mille (₦1,000).

It should actually be scrapped just like what Sanusi did. An Account Maintenance charge if there is to be any should be a fixed amount charge on an account and not an amount on every debit made made on the current account. Since it is on every debit, then it should be called 'Transaction Maintenance' so that the deceit will no longer be hidden.

No longer COT,its been scrapped as I found out today.
So they now do N1/N1000 transaction.
Sanusi scrapped it but Emefiele brought it back as Account Maintenance charge. It is like what they did with Stamp Duty. Stamp Duty was siply renamed as Electronic Levy.

Nigerians and stupidity. You are using percentages and think you are gaining. What you don’t know is that in real terms, you are losing big time as inflation continues to bite harder. The real value of your money even with the supposed gain in percentages is less. Take that gain to the market and see what you can buy. You will buy even less than the small gains you were making before the increase in rates.

Go and learn proper economics before you open your mouth again.
So what is the way forward with an idle cash sitting in an account?.

freeman67:
No penalty. However, your subsequent daily rate after the withdrawal with be calculated and credited based on your 5M balance.
He withdrew after two weeks(14 days) of opening and it is supposed to be operated for 30days initially. So there should be a penalty.

Thanks for your response I just heard that the stock market fell, meaning most Nigerians do not have confidence in him

https://gazettengr.com/nigerian-stocks-fall-on-tinubus-emergence-as-president-elect/

Let's see how it goes
It seems you do not know how the NSE swings. People are taking profits. After 5days of consistent rise, what were you expecting?. Do not forget that many Asset Management Companies have Mutual Funds that are tied to equities. You only make real profit when you sell otherwise it is paper profit.

Amateurs will likely rush in to sell and it will continue to fall. Once it gets to a particular price level, the big players buy back on the low and wait for another cycle to sell. NSE is a yoyo.

If you have a stock and it has been rising 0.5% every day, after 5 days, that is a cumulative rise of 2.5%. Calculate that rise on 1m units of the stock.

Please I will need some advice here, judging from the fact that Tinubu has one this election, will it be advisable to convert all my money to Dollars or Keep investing in Mutual Funds?

I really don't think he has the capacity to lead this country
The President does not really need to be involved in everything. Look for key areas. Get competent people in such areas and get monthly reports from them for monitoring. If you want to settle political party faithfuls, just push them to low key ministries.

If a weekly allowance is given to a student, should data and credit be bought separately for the student monthly or should the student buy data and credit from the allowance?.

we want to be doing it weekly stuff
Like 10k every week
Do weekly allowance. Agree on an amount and do weekly. There is the tendency for a student to over spend if given money for the semester or even given for a month especially for a 100L student. A 100L student is still not very mature to manage money.
