In December 2024, he officially defected to APC.

Now, APC has denied him ticket.

In the general election, Donatus polled 10,508 votes to defeat the incumbent House of Reps Member Gideon Lucas Gwani of the PDP who scored 10,297 and the candidate of the APC who received 9,919 votes. The candidate of the PDP rejected the results and filled a petition challenging the election at the Election Petition Tribunal and asked the court to declare him winner.

CrimeMexican Drug Barons And Nigerians Arrested In Ogun Forest (pictures) by nlfpmod(mod): 1:36pm On May 20
NDLEA smashes Nigerian-Mexican meth cartel, arrests baron, 3 Mexicans, 6 others

- Recovers N480 billion meth, precursors from massive clandestine lab in Ogun forest - Nigeria

now a hostile country for your criminal business,

Marwa warns cartels, barons

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has dealt another crippling blow to transnational organized crime by completely dismantling a highly sophisticated, multi-million-dollar Nigerian- Mexican methamphetamine production syndicate.

The clinical, simultaneous operation, executed by elite operatives of the Agency’s Special Operations Unit (SOU), led to the shutdown of an industrial-scale clandestine laboratory, the biggest ever discovered in Nigeria hidden in a remote forest in Ijebu area of Ogun state, the seizure of the largest multi-billion naira meth in history, arrest of the cartel's kingpin, three Mexican technical experts, and six other top local collaborators.

Giving details of the major operational success at a media briefing at the Agency’s headquarters in Abuja on Wednesday 20th May 2026, Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of NDLEA, Brig Gen Mohamed Buba Marwa (rtd) said following months of painstaking and credible intelligence gathering, operatives of a Special Operations Unit of the Agency launched well-coordinated strikes across Ogun and Lagos States within a space of 48 hours last week.

According to him, “barely two weeks ago, we announced the successful takedown of a high-profile Drug Trafficking Organization (DTO) headed by Simon Amadi in a complex, multi-country operation involving the US Drug Enforcement Administration, the Swiss, French, and the Greek law enforcement agencies. Today, I am proud to announce that the NDLEA has struck another crippling blow to the heart of transnational organized crime.

“Through a clinical, simultaneous operation executed by the elite operatives of our Special Operations Unit (SOU), we have successfully dismantled a sophisticated, transnational methamphetamine production syndicate run jointly by a Nigerian drug cartel and their Mexican counterparts.

“This network did not just traffic drugs; they were actively manufacturing industrial-scale quantities of highly lethal illicit substances right on our soil, threatening the national security and public health of Nigeria.

“After months of painstaking, credible intelligence, our operatives on Saturday, 16th May 2026, launched a well-coordinated, simultaneous strikes in both Ogun and Lagos States.

The primary target was a remote farm located at Abidagba forest, in Ijebu East Local Government Area of Ogun State. This farm was being used as a massive, highly dangerous clandestine methamphetamine laboratory by the Anochili Innocent Drug Trafficking Organization (DTO).

“Simultaneously, another tactical team closed in on the mastermind’s luxury fortress at No. 8 Tafawa Balewa Street, Golf Estate, Lakowe, Lekki area of Lagos State—the residence of the drug baron, Anochili Innocent.

“At the farm in the Ijebu forest, our operatives overran the clandestine laboratory in Ogun State, securing the perimeter and catching the syndicates completely off-guard. At this laboratory, we apprehended seven (7) key members of the cartel processing illicit substances.

“Most notably, the operation confirms our intelligence regarding the importation of foreign technical expertise by local cartels. Among those arrested are three (3) Mexican nationals brought into the country specifically to cook this deadly substance, alongside four (4) Nigerian collaborators.

“The suspects arrested in the forest lab are: Nwankwo Sunday Christian, 41; Igwe Abuchi Remijus, 42; Ifeanyichukwu Chibuike Joshua, 23; and Egwuonwu Uchenna Victor, 38; as well as the three Mexican meth experts: Martinez Felix Nemecto, 46; Jesus López Valles, 40; and

Torrero Juan Carlos, 51.

“Simultaneously, another tactical team closed in on the luxury residence of the cartel's mastermind, Anochili Innocent, located at No. 8 Tafawa Balewa Street, Golf Estate, Lakowe, Lekki area of Lagos State. The drug baron was cornered and arrested. A meticulous search of his premises led to the recovery of the international passports and mobile phones of the three arrested Mexican cooks, directly linking him to the importation and management of the foreign criminals.”

Not done with the dismantling of the drug cartel, Marwa disclosed that relentless follow-up operations on Monday 18th May 2026, led NDLEA operatives to another property owned by the baron at House 70, Close 3, Mayfair Estate, Lakowe, Lekki, Lagos where another key member of the syndicate, Kingsley Orike Omonughwa, 44, was arrested after which investigators stormed the residence of another syndicate member, Emeka Nwobum, whose property served as the cartel's strategic stash house.

The arrest brings to 10 the total number of cartel members, including the baron, the three Mexican specialists, and six Nigerian collaborators, who are currently in NDLEA custody.

Providing further details of the operation, the NDLEA boss said “I equally directed the deployment of our specialized Chemical and Forensic Team to the clandestine laboratory to test, weigh, and secure the chemical components. The sheer volume of dangerous precursor chemicals, industrial solvents, and finished products recovered is staggering.

The operation yielded a massive 2,419.48 kilograms (over 2.4 tons) of chemical materials, including highly toxic, volatile, and crystallized methamphetamine worth Three Hundred and Sixty-Two Million, Nine Hundred and Twenty-Two Thousand Dollars ($362,922,000.00) in the international market. This translates to over Four Hundred and Eighty Billion Naira (N480,000,000,000.00). Imagine this humongous amount in the control of criminal elements! Also recovered from the cartel include: a Toyota Tacoma vehicle used for operations at the clandestine meth laboratory, and a Toyota Highlander seized from the kingpin's residence.

“To put this in perspective, the 2,419.48 kilograms of finished and liquid methamphetamine seized represents millions of street doses that would have flooded our local communities and international markets, causing untold destruction, psychosis, and violence.”

Marwa noted that the dismantling of the Anochili Innocent DTO, coming directly on the heels of the Simon Amadi cartel takedown, sends an unequivocal, resounding message to drug barons both locally and internationally that Nigeria is a hostile territory for their business, warning that the Agency will continue to hunt them down wherever they are located.

“We are fully aware of the shifting tactics of these cartels, including the disturbing trend of hiring South American cartel specialists to set up production factories in our rural communities. Let it be known that no matter how deep into the bush you hide, no matter how secure your gated estate is, the NDLEA will hunt you down, disrupt your networks, and seize your ill-gotten wealth”, Marwa warned.

While appreciating the support from international partners to keep Nigeria and the global community safe from the criminal activities of drug cartels, he commended “the extraordinary bravery, professionalism, and precision of the NDLEA SOU operatives and our Chemical and Forensic Team. Nigeria owes you all a debt of gratitude.”

He urged Nigerians to remain vigilant adding that the forest lab in Ogun State was operating under the guise of a regular farm. “Report suspicious activities, strange chemical odours, or unusual movements in your localities. This war is for the soul of our nation, and we will not back down until we achieve a drug-free Nigeria”, he added.

CrimeBandits Torture Kidnapped Students With Fire by nlfpmod(mod): 12:11pm On May 20
Graphic footage of bandits torturing kidnapped students by dousing them with a liquid (likely a flammable accelerant like petrol or kerosene) and using fire on them.

The exact location of the incident has not been ascertained. While some are saying it happened in Oyo State, others are saying it happened elsewhere.

Wherever the incident took place, this is really terrible.

EducationPanic At LAUTECH Over False Bandit Alarm, School Management Reacts by nlfpmod(mod): 10:11pm On May 19
Here is a video of students running in panic across the LAUTECH campus in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, claiming bandits had invaded the school while the author's sister was in class and got injured.

LAUTECH management has officially debunked the claims, confirming no bandit attack took place, the university remains open, and students are continuing their examinations without disruption.

We’re not closing down because of banditry – LAUTECH

The management of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso, has debunked rumours that the university has been shut down because of the fear that bandits want to invade the institution.

In a statement on Tuesday evening signed by Olalekan Fadeyi on behalf of the Registrar, Mrs Olayinka Balogun, the management of the university called on the public to disregard such claims.

“This is to strongly debunk the rumour making the rounds that the Management of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, has closed down the University for fear of invasion by bandits.

“This is to inform our students, their parents and guardians that there is no immediate reason for management of LAUTECH to close down the University, therefore the University is still in session.

“As a matter of fact, our students are currently writing their examinations and the exercise continues tomorrow.

“Management regrets whatever inconvenience this unfounded rumour may have caused.”

The rumour may not be unconnected to the fact that last Friday’s attacks on some schools in Oriire Local Government Area by bandits took place in locations that are not far from the university town.

Sandra Edoho, the estranged wife of popular TV host Frank Edoho, has broken her silence after weeks of online drama. In a series of posts on her Instagram stories titled “Surviving Frank Edoho”.

She strongly denied being unfaithful or earning labels like “ashawo.” Instead, she pointed fingers at Frank, claiming years of cheating, emotional pain, physical abuse, and money problems in their marriage. She wrote

''Surviving Frank Edoho.

I refuse to be tagged an unfaithful wife, a prostitute, or an ashewo as I have been pegged these past few days.

He didn’t come as the most eligible bachelor, however, I loved him with all my heart & soul, against the wishes of my family. Faithful to the core, he always bragged about me to his friends, colleagues & anyone who cared to listen.

Frank, you must come to Equity with clean hands. You must acknowledge & take responsibility to how you led us here.

I was constantly humiliated, physically abused and traumatised. (Pls find picture evidence attached). Videos Dey... but let’s keep that one aside.

You didn’t know I had your passwords for over three months! Frolicking with so many women, including the one you jog with at 6 a.m. in the morning in our estate. Craziest work! Every time I asked that we jog together, you would harshly quarrel with me and storm out of the house only to go romance in VGC park! I kept quiet.

You didn’t know I had your passwords to your computer. I had access to bank statements showing your movements from lounges/bars to hotels, paying hookup girls, going on dates to Delborough Hotel with side chicks (please find attached evidence of photos).

Range Rover car loan I was single‑handedly paying off. I constantly found cheap lip glosses, earrings, and hair brushes after your night outs. You claimed they belonged to your married manager’s girlfriend. Your married manager, Toyosi Oyetunji , would bring various girls for you to our shared office, and anytime I asked, you would claim they were marketers. Marketers for what exactly? I kept quiet.

You sold the house for 40m! The kitchen renovation alone was 15m. You are a wicked man. You invaded my privacy, you took my phone, you listened to my audio recordings, you went through my tapes, you went through my private conversations. You blackmailed me with a tape of me and my ex. You catfished me with a fake account and I fell for it. You are a wicked man.

Recently, when you said you have found your soulmate in “Tea with Tay” podcast by teymesan, I was so happy for you. At least you go commot eye for my body.

When you and Amaka Okeke, who is a married woman by the way, were posting yourselves up and down on social media, wearing and‑co for events, celebrating your birthday parties by posting each other with endearing names “bestie” and attending public events, I faced my front. I kept quiet. (Find pictures attached.)
When she moved into our home, hanging her cheap clothes in my closet that I built with my sweat, and laying on my matrimonial bed, I kept quiet.

I feel so sad for even talking about a man I once loved. But I must, as I have young children who would one day be able to understand their mother’s side in case they get bullied with online publications.

I caught you at Boho with 2 prostitutes, with Iheanyi Njemanze richmond.wealth, whom you were gallivanting with at the time. The girls didn’t know I was your wife and made advance to fight me and my cousin! She bears me witness! You were soliciting hook up girl that charges 100k, sometimes 80k, sometimes 50k
Crazy work!

A man that I always put on every property I acquired with my own funds with no contribution from him!

A man who doesn’t care, feed or provide for our kids, even till date!
A man who never picks his children’s calls till date. A man whom I ensured made peace with his children from his previous failed marriage.

You held a dumbbell and wanted to smash my face, saying “I will desty your face so no man can ever see your beauty again.”

When you threatened to kl me at night, I knew this was my cue to leave and never look back!
Even your sister, Eno Edoho, agreed that “she could never get married to a man like her brother” and was in shock that I covered up for you all these years.

EducationDaniella Owoeye, UTME Top Scorer: I Used AI To Summarise Notes, Studied Hard by nlfpmod(mod): 12:38pm On May 18
INTERVIEW: I used AI to summarise notes, joined WhatsApp groups to study, says UTME top scorer

On Monday, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) declared Daniella Owoeye the highest scorer in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). The teenager topped the chart of the ten highest scorers with 372 marks. But from the depth of her preparation, the achievement is undoubtedly well deserved.

In this interview with TheCable’s IMOLEAYO OYEDEYI, the teenager takes a deep dive into the rigorous preparation and demanding journey that led to her UTME success. She says the biggest factor for her was not just parental support, but a mindset shift, because “big schools don’t define success”.

TheCable: So many people don’t know much about you yet. Tell us about yourself.

Owoeye: I am Owoeye Daniella Jesudunsin. I am 16 years old. For my primary education, I attended Royal Standard International School. And for my junior secondary school, I attended Universal Success Academy. For my senior secondary school, I attended EFVP Wisdom Strength Model School.

TheCable: At any point during your primary or secondary school education, did you have a double promotion?

Owoeye: Yes, I did. But my parents are not the type who usually want extra promotion and all of that. They believe I should follow the due process from one class to the other, so I wouldn’t miss out on any necessary knowledge I need to acquire. But there was a time I was double-promoted from primary 4 to primary 6 in my primary school.

At that point, they felt that since oftentimes the primary 5 curriculum and syllabus were kind of related to that of primary 6, because they were both preparatory classes for junior secondary school level one. They said that since the primary 5 topics were also covered in my primary 6, they allowed that.

TheCable: Did you hold any leadership positions in school?

Owoeye: In my junior secondary school, in JSS3, I was the head girl. I held the same position in SS3.

TheCable: On Monday, you came into the limelight shortly after JAMB announced you as the highest scorer in this year’s UTME. Can you tell us how you felt when you received the news?

Owoeye: When I heard about my success, I was very happy, and it was actually a moment to be proud of. I felt grateful to God. My joy knew no bounds. I didn’t even know how to express myself at that moment. I was kind of emotional and all of that. So, I was very happy and thankful to God.

TheCable: Was it something you had been expecting?

Owoeye: I would say that after checking my UTME results, I was expecting to be among the top ten, or at least the top three.

I was at home alone when I got the news. I wasn’t even with my dad. My parents called and notified me, but someone had already sent the news to me while I was doing something else and wasn’t online to read it. But immediately after they notified me, I followed up from there.

I watched the clip, and from there, I started receiving messages congratulating me and all of that.

It was very exciting. When I received the calls, I observed my parents from afar, and they were looking proud of their daughter and all of that. But the messages and the calls were just too much. It was kind of overwhelming. It was from one call to another, and it was just so much.

TheCable: We noticed that social media accounts in your name appeared on Twitter and Facebook that same Monday. Were you the one who created those accounts?

Owoeye: Yes, I created the accounts. I intend to post educational videos, news, and all of that because I’ve heard a lot of people asking me how I went about doing this. So, I intend to post how I achieved my score, and I also intend to post educational videos advising my fellow students. That was why I created the account.

Actually, my parents were in support of that, and they were even the ones who advised me.

Although I had it in mind, they even spoke up and said I should also create something like that. So, I decided to just create it since I already had it in mind.

TheCable: Have you received any commendation letter or contact from JAMB?

Owoeye: No, not at all. They haven’t.

TheCable: What about from Ekiti state, since the government celebrated you on their Twitter page on Tuesday?

Owoeye: No, we haven’t received anything.

TheCable: Talking about the UTME, you scored 372, with 98 in both English and Chemistry. What role did your parents play in this achievement? I read they are specialists in these subjects.

Owoeye: My parents usually speak English to us at home. They barely spoke Yoruba. It was not until I got to JSS3 that I started learning how to speak Yoruba. So, they spoke English purely, and it helped me become fluent in speaking the language.

Also, I would say my parents have been supportive, and they have always provided everything that we needed since we were in primary school up to this level.

And for UTME specifically, I would say my parents gave me their full support. They provided the past questions, the textbooks, everything I needed, and they even prayed for me. So, they gave me moral support.

TheCable: What would you say were the major factors that contributed to your outstanding performance in those two subjects?

Owoeye: Well, some people say that because my dad works at the library and he is in art, people feel like I took the English aspect from him.

And because my mom has a PhD in industrial chemistry, people also feel like I got the chemistry aspect from her. And truly, it played a role because there were times when I needed clarification on a few questions while preparing, and I met my mom, who explained them to me. It was really helpful, and the same goes for my dad. So, it was really helpful to me.

TheCable: How did you prepare for the UTME?

Owoeye: Actually, regarding my mode of preparation, I think only a few students can do that. I wasn’t fortunate enough to attend these big, prestigious schools because that doesn’t define success. I knew that I needed to work harder and not just work harder, but work even smarter and strategically.

So, I started early and set a goal. This reminds me of a scripture written in the book of Habakkuk that says we should write our goals and vision clearly. So, I keyed into that. I wrote down my goal. I wrote “370 plus”, and then I worked towards it.

Growing up, I have learnt that we are meant to intensify our actions rather than increase our goals. In the past, I used to set so many goals and all of that. But I learned that increasing the goals is not the key, but increasing my efforts and actions are. So, I keyed into that and started pushing and doing all that I needed to do.

Also, I set a timetable. The timetable I used while preparing was different from the one I used for my revision. I used one month, April, for my revision.

So, I set alarms on my phone. I saw that as my own school bell to notify me each time. I would say from the time I woke up till about 11:30 in the morning, I read. That was my morning session. Then I took a few breaks.

My breaks were not for social media because I learned that, after mentally taxing work, social media was not the right option to cool it down, since I knew my brain needed proper rest. So, I just rested during the break. I walked around and all of that.

Also, during my afternoon session, I studied from around 12:30 to about 3:30. I took a break again, and then from 4:30 till the period for my online tutorial, I read again. The tutorial started at 7:15 p.m., so I stopped all that I was reading by 7 pm. That was my routine.

I also didn’t rely on my tutorials alone. I made other efforts. My parents provided all my subject combinations, JAMB Series Remix and Prep 50, and hard copies of past questions.

TheCable: What about the JAMB syllabus?

Owoeye: My preparation was topic-by-topic based. I used the JAMB syllabus, and I feel that’s where many students are missing it and getting it wrong. They try to cover a lot of textbooks, and some of them do not take the JAMB syllabus seriously.

Instead of downloading the soft copy, I printed everything for physics, chemistry, biology, and English. Each time I finished a topic, I ticked it off and treated it based on what JAMB highlighted.

I also used past questions to generate notes aside from my online tutorials. I did this consistently. I consulted AI to summarise the notes for the parts that seemed bulky, and it was really helpful.

I had the notes where I jotted my errors, my mistakes, and all of that. I did past questions and CBT practices every day. So, I used QuizBoots.

I joined a group that conducted 100-question quizzes every day. They started with chemistry. That lasted for not less than two months. Then, for the remaining subjects, it came up later on, but not less than one month later. It lasted for nothing less than one month. It was 100 questions daily.

Aside from that, I was revising my notes and reading. I also did the Test Readers Weekly Mock Challenge on Saturdays. I did that, and I also had a particular time I set for my own personal mock challenge aside from that one. So, I did a lot of that.

I watched videos. Although my online tutorial notes were self-explanatory and well-explained, and the tutors made the classes lively and superbly structured, I didn’t stop there. I searched for videos online on YouTube and watched a lot of them.

I want to thank my parents for that because they made internet data and everything available. So, I searched for a lot of videos and tried to understand concepts. I wasn’t the type who just saw questions and crammed them like that because I knew that method wouldn’t even work for me at all.

So, I studied concepts regardless of the time it took me to understand them. After understanding the concepts, I recorded them and explained them to myself as if I were teaching. I even used layman’s language and added real-life situations and fictitious ideas to make it practical and help me remember everything I did.

I used a lot of materials. I joined some groups that helped me with quizzes on WhatsApp and Telegram. I think that’s all I remember for now.

TheCable: On average, how many hours did you study in a day?

Owoeye: It’s over eight hours. I didn’t really calculate it, but I read from 8 am to 11:30 am, then from about 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm, and then from about 5 pm to 7 pm. So, I think that should be about nine hours or so. I didn’t calculate it.

I was focused on just trying to solve a lot. My online tutorial also lasted for about four hours. That’s from 7:15 to 12:30 pm or so. So, I just revised a lot after my classes in the morning and went through my notes.

There were times when I tried to solve past questions after that. Then I sleep, and I usually wake up at 6 am.

TheCable: Did you spend just one month preparing for the examination?

Owoeye: No, I started very early last year. I wrote the 2025 UTME, but we had glitches at my centre. The system shut down. The changeover wasn’t working.

The generator went off, and it just wasted a lot of time. But I didn’t request a resit because I was scared that the same thing might repeat itself.

I scored 293. So, having learned from that, I decided to start as early as possible. I started bit by bit until I started moving deeper and deeper and deeper.

TheCable: Why didn’t you use the 293 score to seek admission?

Owoeye: I actually used it. My WAEC result was good, so it boosted it. I settled for a less competitive school, but they pegged their cut-off mark at a very high score, such that only a few people were able to get admission.

I don’t want to mention the name of the school. So, I realised that some candidates were getting admission through connections and buying slots. But my parents kicked against all those things. Even if they had the money, they would not opt for that.

We didn’t bother because my parents couldn’t afford the private institutions that were available. That was why I started preparing for another UTME.

TheCable: This year, you chose the University of Lagos and medicine. What informed those decisions?

Owoeye: I have had this passion to study medicine and surgery since I was young. There’s this TV channel I usually watch, especially on Sundays. They usually showed programmes about support for the sick and people who needed surgery. It actually motivated me.

So, there was a time I sat down and asked myself, why not study medicine and surgery and help these people? Because it was so painful, and I felt their pain. So, ever since then, I’ve been passion-driven to study medicine and surgery.

Apart from that, I also enjoy everything about medicine and surgery. I chose UNILAG because it’s one of the best schools that offer medical courses in Nigeria.

TheCable: What would be your final message to prospective UTME candidates and students generally?

Owoeye: Firstly, to prospective UTME candidates, I would tell them to believe in themselves. Because I feel one thing that is limiting so many UTME candidates is mindset shifts. Some of them feel that because they didn’t attend big schools and all of that, they won’t get big scores.

I want to advise them that if they believe it is impossible, then it will definitely be impossible for them. While others who believe that it is possible will make it possible for themselves. So, they should change their mindset. They should believe that it will be possible.

And not only that, they should work towards it with consistency and commitment, and they should put their preparation into God’s hands. I’ve always been saying that it is one thing to read a lot and work smart strategically, and it is another thing to encounter similar questions to what one has read.

I prayed to God to help me not to read amiss and to direct my steps. The prayer came to pass because I saw the questions there, and I was even smiling because they were very simple questions. They were very familiar questions. I even saw some questions that were kind of repeated. There were some questions with similar concepts that I studied; they just twisted them a bit. So I applied that, and it was so helpful.

I would expect them to be consistent. They should push harder. They should not let anything distract them. They should not let low self-esteem set in. They should believe in themselves. They should hopefully trust the process, commit their preparation to God’s hands, and search for the right materials. I pray God will help them also.

EducationBandits Behead Michael Oyedokun, Kidnapped Oyo Teacher by nlfpmod(mod): 12:10pm On May 18
One of the kidnapped teachers of Community High School, Ahoro-Esinele in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, Michael Oyedokun, has been killed.

Oyedokun was beheaded in a new video allegedly released by bandits on Sunday.

The video obtained by our correspondent on Telegram on Monday showed that the teacher was gruesomely killed after being tied and forced to speak.

The viral inhumane video has raised fresh concerns over the safety of the remaining victims.

This latest development has thrown the community into mourning as residents, families of the victims and native continue to call on security agencies and the Oyo State Government to intensify rescue operations to secure the release of those still in captivity before being killed.

Confirming the killing of the teacher, Dr Suleimon Olanrewaju, the Special Adviser on Media to Governor Seyi Makinde, in a statement on Monday, said the governor extended his condolences to the victim’s family and assured his government would explore both kinetic and non-kinetic approaches to rescue others in the kidnappers’ den.

He also added that about six suspects related to the kidnapping incident have been arrested.

He equally sympathised with the family members of the tactical team of soldiers, Amotekun Corps and local vigilantes, who lost their lives in the rescue operation.

According to him, the operatives lost their lives when they ran into Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), planted by the abductors.

He stated that the wounded security personnel were responding positively to treatment and that the government would spare no cost in taking care of them.

Hoodlums rape Lagos sexagenarian to death
He appealed to the victims’ relatives, religious bodies and other interested parties to exercise patience, promising that the government will rescue and reunite the victims with their families.

“So, please, there may not be quick fixes, but we will continue to endeavour to push ourselves to the limit to resolve this quickly.

“What we know right now is that seven teachers in all were abducted. And, unfortunately, we got a video this morning that one of the teachers, I understand, the mathematics teacher, was killed by the terrorists,” he stated.

Makinde, however, said the government has achieved some success with the operation, with some individuals already arrested in connection with the situation.

“Well, from the information available from the Commissioner of Police, about six individuals have been arrested within the locality.

“Some of them, we believe, are perhaps informants or people running logistics for the terrorists.

“Also, three individuals of interest have been arrested by another security outfit within the state,” he said.

PUNCH Online reports that the gunmen invaded the school on Friday, May 15, and abducted the principal, alongside other teachers and several students.

The attack, which happened some weeks after a failed kidnap attempt that left one traveler dead along the Ibadan-Ijebu road, has renewed concerns over rising insecurity in parts of Oyo State and across Nigeria.

CelebritiesTioruju Mondusi: My Wife Confessed That 2 Out Of My 5 Children Are Not Mine by nlfpmod(mod): 11:39am On May 18
Actor Tioruju Mondusi: How I discovered 2 of 5 kids I raised weren’t mine

Abdul Salam Taofeek, the Yoruba actor popularly known as Tioruju Mondusi, has revealed how he discovered that two of the five children he raised were not biologically his.

In an interview with African A List, Mondusi recounted how his world began to crumble when he returned home from a film set to find his wife, heavily pregnant with their fifth child, not at home. One of his children told him she had been gone for three days.

He said he went to her mother’s house to report the matter. There, he saw a framed photo of his wife with another man hanging on the wall.

Mondusi said when he confronted her, she admitted that he was not the father of her unborn child. The revelation led to a serious fight between them.

He said he later learned that another man had signed the consent form for her cesarean section, a man he had previously seen at her shop but never suspected as a lover.

The actor said that after giving birth, his wife, now late, called him to come for the child, but he refused. According to him, undeterred, she showed up at his house with the baby and the other man.

“The person who offended me to the point that I questioned ‘why me’ is the mother of my children, but she is late now. I travelled to a location, and when I got back, she wasn’t at home. One of my children told me she had not been around for three days, and at the time she was nine months pregnant with our fifth child,” he said.

“I went to her mother’s house to report the situation, and when I got there, I saw a picture of her and another man hanging on the wall. I called her to confront her, and that was when she told me I was not the father of the unborn child. That led to a serious fight.

When she gave birth through a CS, I was told it was another man who signed the consent form. I had met the man before at my wife’s shop, but I didn’t know they were having an affair. After giving birth, she called me again and asked me to come for my child, but because she had already told me I was not the father, I refused.

She later brought the child to my house with the man she was having an affair with. I was very angry, so I called the police on them. At the police station, when she was asked who I was, she said I was the father of her children and that the other man was her husband.

“Meanwhile, the man was begging me to withdraw the case because his wife must not find out, as he was married with four children as well. We eventually left the police station, but I still did not accept the child.”

He said that less than a month after involving the police, his wife served him court papers for divorce.

The actor said in court that she confessed that only three of the five children were actually his.

“Less than a month later, I received a court summons that my wife wanted a divorce, and I also agreed to it. It was in court that she confessed that, out of the five children she claimed were mine, only three were actually mine, while two belonged to the other man,” he added.

She said the first, second, and fourth children were mine, meaning I was not the father of the third and fifth. Meanwhile, I was the one taking care of the children, doing their naming ceremonies, and even burying their placentas.

“She died last year, and I still feel deeply pained whenever I remember the situation.”

EducationIjebu-Ode Chemical Odour Incident: Ogun Government Activates Emergency Response by nlfpmod(mod): 2:37pm On May 15
Chemical Odour Incident: Ogun Govt Activates Emergency Response in Ijebu Ode

The Ogun State Government has activated emergency environmental and public health response measures following another chemical odour incident that affected over 90 students across different schools in Ijebu Ode.

The incident, which occurred barely one month after a similar outbreak in the town, reportedly affected students from schools including Our Lady of Apostles Girls School, Anglican Girls Grammar School, Ijebu-Ode Grammar School, and Sambadola Private School, among others. Many of the affected students were rushed to health facilities, with some reportedly complaining of abdominal pain and related symptoms.

Top government officials, including the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, visited affected students receiving treatment and urged parents and residents to remain calm while medical and environmental experts continue investigations into the incident.

Speaking on the development, the General Manager of the Ogun State Environmental Protection Agency (OGEPA), Hon. Kehinde Bello, disclosed that the state’s Air Quality Monitoring Device installed at Ijebu Ode Grammar School detected elevated methane gas concentrations within parts of the affected area, recording peak readings of about 13,500 ppm in surrounding locations.

According to Bello, although the methane level remains below the lower explosive limit, the concentration is environmentally significant and requires immediate technical investigation and precautionary action. He noted that the monitoring system forms part of the Ogun State Government’s environmental surveillance initiative aimed at ensuring early detection of air quality abnormalities and timely intervention.

He further stated that the government has activated a multi-agency response team comprising environmental regulators, emergency management officials, public health experts, and technical air quality specialists to investigate the source of the odour and recommend appropriate measures.

Residents were advised to avoid open flames or ignition sources in areas where unusual gas odours are perceived and to immediately report symptoms such as dizziness, nausea, headaches, or respiratory discomfort to nearby medical facilities.

The Ogun State Government reiterated its commitment to protecting public health, environmental safety, and the wellbeing of residents while assuring the public that verified updates would continue to be provided as investigations progress.

Ogun Commissioner of Information, Ola Oresanya writes:

The @OGSG_Official wishes to inform the public that the Air Quality Monitoring devices installed at Ijebu Ode Grammar School has recorded elevated methane (CH₄) concentrations within its monitoring coverage area in Ijebu Ode, with peak readings of approximately 13,500 ppm in surrounding locations.

The deployment of the Air Quality Monitoring station at Ijebu Ode Grammar School forms part of the State’s continuous environmental surveillance programme designed to provide early detection of abnormal air quality conditions and support timely public health interventions.

While the recorded methane concentration is below the lower explosive limit, the level is considered environmentally significant and requires immediate technical investigation and precautionary response.

In response, the @OGSG_Official will activated a multi-agency environmental and public health assessment team comprising environmental regulators, emergency response services, and technical air quality experts to:

* determine the source of the emissions,
* assess spatial extent and exposure risk,
* and evaluate associated gases such as hydrogen sulphide (H₂S), volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and other relevant atmospheric parameters.

Residents are advised to remain calm and continue normal activities while avoiding open flames or ignition sources in areas where unusual gas odours are detected. Any symptoms such as dizziness, headaches, nausea, or respiratory discomfort should be promptly reported to nearby health facilities.

The @OGSG_Official remains fully committed to safeguarding lives, public health, and environmental integrity. Further verified updates will be communicated as investigations progress.

CelebritiesLeaked Audio Of Chike & Sandra Edoho, As They Share Same Love Song Online by nlfpmod(mod): 3:22pm On May 14
cutieJuls posted two leaked audios of singer Chike and Sandra, Frank Edoho's wife. Hours after the audios trended, Chike and Sandra share the same love songs online.

Part of conversations between Singer Chike and Mrs Frank Edoho.

NB: This was after Frank caught them, moved out of the house. He stopped talking to his wife for some days and moved out eventually reportedly moved out for about 3 months. [That was when he granted interviews last 2 years where he talked about keeping malice etc].

Family, men of God and elderly family friends got involved and advised Frank and Sandra to give their marriage a 2nd chance after the wife apologised and swore she is ending it.

According to our sources, they didn’t stop. They continued and some people saw them. Evidence of money transfers and more.

So Frank started questioning his wife again. This part doesn’t contain much but will continue.

TBC

NB: Mrs Edoho was driving while talking to boo of the booless. Think her phone was on loud speaker so her voice was clearer than Chike’s.
You will need your phone volume high enough so you can hear Chike’s part

Another conversation of Chike and Mrs Edoho.

So, Chike suggested to Mrs Edoho that they should pretend not to be talking with each other for a week or two. That will make Frank not believe the rumours that they are still doking even after Mrs Edoho had promised and sworn she’s never going to be doking Chike again.

Chike also suggested to Mrs Edoho that if Frank continues to be doubting her, she should just go silent on him and pretend to be looking for a place to move out. And since Frank loves her, he [Frank] will fold up and will stop questioning her.

The woman said said that she can’t and that if that’s what Chike wants, then he should let them knack better knacking for the last time and then break up.

The audios are so long. Chike was at the gym so he after long conversations, Chike told her to start coming in 2 hours cuz by then he will be done with the gym so he they can doke well well.

Omo, even after that day’s doking, they did not stop. Chike likes Mrs Edoho’s money cuz she had said he can’t live without it. And Mrs Edoho’s money cuz on the other end, couldn’t do without Chike’s gbola.

😩😩😩😩there was one that the two of them were calling Frank Edoho Mumu. That was when the woman was telling Chike how she had put what he coached her into action by pretending to be crying and remorseful which made “the mumu man” Frank thought she was done with Chike.

Omo I don laugh, come weak, come dey surprise. Different emotions .. Amebo life no easy 😩😩

Let’s Do One Last Stupid Thing Before We Block Each Other— Frank Edoho’s Estranged Wife, Sandra, Allegedly Tells Chike In Viral Audio

A viral phone conversation allegedly involving Sandra, the estranged wife of Frank Edoho, and singer Chike has surfaced online, triggering reactions on social media.

In the recording, Sandra appeared emotional as she spoke about pressure from her husband, who she claimed was demanding a confession over her alleged relationship with Chike.

The conversation reportedly began casually before Sandra said:

“Omo, things are falling apart for real. He’s saying if I do not confess, there’s nothing he wants to hear apart from a confession. Based on the questions he’s asking me, I don’t even know what to say because he says every other thing is a lie.”

Sandra also questioned Chike about whether he had been speaking to anyone about them.

“He keeps saying people are talking. What he’s cr@zy about is that I keep contacting you and you’re saying I’m the one not leaving you alone. Then he’s saying you’re talking and because of that, people are saying things.”

Chike denied discussing their situation with anyone, replying:

“Trust me, I cannot do that. Typically, I won’t. Why are you even doubting where this is coming from?”

The discussion later shifted to cutting off communication.

Sandra asked:

“Can you do without me? Are you going to do it or who is doing it first?”

After Chike suggested she could do it immediately, Sandra replied:

“No, I’m not doing it because you brought it up.”

She later proposed that they block each other after “one last thing.”

“Let’s be definite about it, not just blocking but also never ever talking or seeing each other again. But that one last thing has to happen before that.”

Chike asked what it was and Sandra ended the call with a controversial remark

“We’ve been stupid all along, so now let’s do the st¥pidest thing the last st¥pidest thing. That’s the solution.”

Professor Eyo Ekpe Dragged Out of Theatre: EFCC Raid Sparks Outrage at UUTH

Armed, masked police men are currently in University of Uyo Teaching Hospital. They came, went to the Deputy CMAC’s office and dragged out a whole professor of medicine like a thief, they beat up and threatened to shoot staffs who tried intervening. The hospital gate has been shut down, medics and non medical staff have blocked the gate.

Rumor has it that it’s was the EFCC and not police me! They turned up in black and black and non of them had their identity vest on.

EFCC operation at teaching hospital disrupts services as patients, health workers flee facility

The operation triggered panic at the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital as workers fled wards, patients were left unattended and medical services were disrupted following the EFCC's arrest of a senior hospital official.

The operation reportedly led to the arrest of the Deputy Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee, of the hospital, Eyo Ekpe, a Professor of cardiothoracic surgeon.

Witnesses told PREMIUM TIMES that armed operatives stormed the hospital premises in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, in what they described as a “commando-style” operation.

According to witnesses, the operatives arrived in two salon cars, a tinted bus, while some of them wore masks, with a few wearing the EFCC insignia.

The reason for Professor Ekpe’s arrest was not immediately clear as of the time of filing this report.

Videos shared with PREMIUM TIMES showed scenes of panic within the hospital premises, with workers, patients and visitors seen running after what witnesses said was the firing of teargas during the operation.

Witnesses also alleged that some people sustained injuries during the commotion.

“The entire place became chaotic. Patients and staff started running when they started shooting teargas and gun,” one witness said.

A source within the hospital said the incident caused fear among health workers and disrupted clinical activities across several departments.

Witnesses said many phones were seized by EFCC operatives from those who snapped or filmed the operation.

Following the operation, labour unions within the hospital moved across wards and directed members to vacate the premises over security concerns.

PREMIUM TIMES observed workers leaving offices and hospital wards, while some patients were left unattended in the confusion.

Internal statement issued by the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital branch of the National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives, signed by its chairperson, Effiong Unoekieoru, directed nurses to immediately leave the hospital environment.

“Sequel to the security concern due to invasion of the hospital premises by EFCC officials this morning, all the nurses are hereby directed to leave the hospital environment until the security situation is calm,” the statement said.

Officials of the Trade Union Congress and the Senior Staff Association were also seen moving across wards and departments asking workers to vacate the premises.

The disruption raised concerns about the safety of patients receiving treatment at the tertiary health institution, especially those in critical condition.

PREMIUM TIMES sent separate media enquiries to the EFCC and the management of UUTH seeking clarification on the operation.

In the enquiry to the EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, PREMIUM TIMES asked why Mr Ekpe was arrested and whether the anti-graft agency authorised the use of force, including alleged deployment of teargas and gun, within a hospital environment.

The newspaper also asked whether the commission was aware that the operation disrupted healthcare services and forced medical workers to abandon wards.

In a separate enquiry to the Chief Medical Director of UUTH, Emem Bassey, PREMIUM TIMES asked whether the hospital management was informed ahead of the operation, whether arrest warrant was shown by the EFCC before the arrest, what Mr Ekpe was arrested for and whether any patients or staff sustained injuries during the incident.

The newspaper also sought clarification on the impact of the operation on surgeries, emergency response and patient care within the hospital.

Neither the EFCC nor the hospital management had responded to the enquiries as of the time of filing this report.

Three years ago, before Ugo married his then-fiancée, he took the precautionary step of having her sign a comprehensive prenuptial agreement.

At the time, he arranged for her to relocate from Nigeria and join him in the United Kingdom, where he was already established.

When the marriage ultimately broke down and ended in divorce, the prenup proved highly effective in safeguarding Ugo’s personal wealth and assets.

Thanks to the legal protections he had put in place well in advance, his ex-wife was unable to claim a sizable portion of his finances, and his financial position remained largely intact despite the split.

According to Ugo, the situation escalated dramatically when his ex-wife made false accusations of domestic violence (DV) against him during the separation process.

UK authorities conducted a thorough investigation into the claims, ultimately determining that the allegations were unfounded and without merit.

As a direct consequence of these findings, and the fact that her visa status in the UK was tied to the marriage, she was deported back to Nigeria.

She received no significant share of his assets due to the prenup, and she was subsequently deported to Nigeria following the dismissal of her false Domestic Violence claims.
