PRESS RELEASE OH LORD, BRING BACK OUR IMO!! There are not many places like our dear state Imo, signposted by its capital, Owerri. Owerri is an awesome city, with its peace-loving and hospitable people; enchanting nightlife and boisterous weekends. But the past weeks have cast us in very bad light and sold a dreadful story to the world, about who we are not. We have occupied conspicuous spaces in the news, all for the wrong reasons. And this should be a matter of concern to anyone and everyone who calls Imo state home, irrespective of Political Party affiliation. Businesses are suffering, pupils are on forced vacation, even day-workers are jumpy and begin to shut down by 3pm to scurry off home for fear of their lives. Sadly, no day passes without stories that touch the heart. Before you react to one, another happens and the chain continues in quick successions. Either Police formations are being attacked and policemen killed,or security infrastructures are being burnt down alongside public/government facilities. Government functionaries and security personnel are targeted for the kill and nobody expects the security forces to just seat back and watch the decimation of their ranks. But the counter-actions of the security forces must show they are different, humane and more professional than the rampaging hoodlums that have besieged our state. Nothing can justify the increasing outrage over mounting body counts of victims of extrajudicial killings across the state. No innocent man deserves to die for the crimes of these faceless hoodlums. It is a global norm that instead of an innocent man to suffer or be unjustly punished, let the criminal go free. Every single death of an innocent man in Imo today - Police,Army or civilian - diminishes our collective humanity! Just today,June,3 the heart-rending shooting and killing around the Orji flyover broke again. And I ask, for how long our we going to keep living like this? This gory pattern of cold-blooded killings by strange elements that have infiltrated our civic space and the multiple incidents of stray bullets from security forces, leave so much to be desired. The brazen attacks on the State Police Headquarters, the Owerri Correctional Centre, the country home of our dear Governor and even some private homes, are precedent we must put in check. We must begin to talk to ourselves - from the community to the state level, from the home-front to the city-front - we must begin to tell ourselves some hard truth! Most importantly, we must all close ranks, rally round and take back our state. We must de-escalate the tension, violent attacks and arbitrary shooting of citizens, by owning our state and resolving to take it back from the brink. There are neither miles to be gained nor political capital to be made from the death of citizens and guests to Imo. Ultimately, no interest can be sustainably advanced through insecurity as everyone suffers under its weighty challenges. As condemnable and reprehensible as these attacks and violent exchanges are to our state and psyche, if allowed to take firm root and fester, we shall all be the losers and possibly, the victims. Nobody takes a fire to his bossom and not be burnt! We must seat up and take notice of what is happening in our state - the political and apolitical, leaders and followers, men, women, boys and girls - we must own this struggle to redeem our dear state. Inspite of our religious leanings, political inclinations and ideological biases, one thing that binds us all together is Imo, our homeland! So, no matter where we stand as individuals, we must cut our losses and rally round our Governor, His Excellency Senator Hope Uzodinma and support him with ideas and counsel to help restore sanity and security to our dear state. No matter who is involved in the carnage, the problem should be seen primarily as an Imo problem and also should awaken the Imo spirit in all of us - leaders and stakeholders. It needs no saying that, we cannot afford to fiddle while Imo burns! Our resolves and actions should transcend the usual political rhetoric,to an actionable blueprint, because human lives are involved. Let us for once suspend our political rivalries, fold our sleeves and tackle this situation collectively. With all our politics, if we seat back and allow this raging storm to consume Imo, just to score a political point, there may be no political trophy to win by 2023 and apparently, no state to govern! And when the dust settles, may posterity be kind to us. Hon Deacon Chike Okafor,Member House of Representatives, Ehime Mbano/Ihitte Uboma/Obowo Federal Constituency .

THE HULLABALOO ABOUT FMC MORGUE LOADED WITH INNOCENT CIVILIANS ...a tale of planted seed of destabilization! The unpleasant security challenges facing Imo State in this present day living, has been cashed in on my agents of darkness in human form. They seek to disconnect the people from the truth just so as to win their sympathy. Lies are spreading like wild fire catalyzed with combustible liquid. In the end, the aim lies on extreme political vendetta for an actualization of selfish desire but, in the beginning little did the cheering masses knew that casualties of war dominate on the side of civilians. Albeit, the tactical attack on security agencies and agents has kept the outcome on the opposite in this case of Imo but quite unfortunate, the mongers are having a swell day selling false news to susceptible members of the public. Ever since the heightened security challenge in the state, the media has been inundated with stories of innocent civilian bodies flooding the Morgue of Federal Medical Center (FMC) Owerri. These random messages purportedly emanating from some people claiming to be staff of the FMC. In their narration, they claimed that the security operatives were unjustly killing and dumping innocent civilians at the FMC Morgue. This has sparked widespread outrage leading to question on the professionalism or otherwise of the security agencies in their discharge of duties. The safety of citizens in the wake of this has been a thing of concern. Meanwhile just like the bird, the security agents have been left with no empathy from those whom they sworn to defend. The irrational jubilation of civilians at the murder of security agents by these criminals who as well are welcomed and cheered with accolades, has left the very essence of morality in human lost. Every life matters and the death of an innocent civilian is worth same as that of a security agent in the line of duty. In clarity, the casualties recorded by the security agencies is enormous and accounts for the number of bodies at the FMC Morgue. So contrary to the news making round about the killing and dumping of innocent civilians at the FMC Morgue, the bodies are mostly that of security agents who lost their lives to those criminal elements. Propagation of false news would do more harm than good. Let's desist!

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT The General Public are hereby encouraged to disregard all forms of propaganda and scaremongering making the rounds on social media that the DSS, Police special squad and the Military has been instructed to arrest anybody they see outside or on the street once it is 8:00pm and shoot anyone who tries to run. The above claim is the handiwork of scaremongers and persons who are opposed to efforts geared towards the protection of lives and properties in the state. The oppositions of Good governance are desperatly trying to instil fear among Imolites after they failed to create anarchy and unrest in the State. Let it also be known that criminals are out there parading themselves as meaningful citizens, the security agencies are in town to enforce the law and apprehend only Criminals. His excellency distinguished senator Hope Uzodimma has again reassured Imolites of safety of lives and properties in Imo State. According to him "Imo people and residents should go about their businesses without fear of molestation or harassment. What happened in the past weeks will never repeat itself again." "We will crush anybody that attempts to cause mayhem or attack Imo people again. Government cannot surrender to blackmailers, hoodlums and perpetrators of violence who have sworn to make the State ungovernable." Thus, Imolites especially those in the state capital are therefore enjoined to remain law abiding and cooperate with the security operatives in the course of their duties and go about their lawful businesses as Imo State is peaceful and well secured. #HopeNewAndElectronicMediaCenter

REMARKS BY GOVERNOR HOPE UZODIMMA ON THE OCCASION OF THE PRESENTATION OF SECURITY VEHICLES AND GADGETS TO OPERATION SEARCH AND FLUSH TEAM, ON WEDNESDAY, MAY 5TH, 2021. Today's event heralds the presentation of more vehicles and security gadgets to our Operation Search and Flush team. It is a bold statement on our iron-clad resolve to flush out criminals from our dear state. It is a signal to bandits, hoodlums and trigger-happy criminals that their time is up in Imo State. Again this event further underscores the fact that our government can never be intimidated by criminals and their sponsors. It also reaffirms our commitment to the protection of lives and property of all citizens of the state including those on transit. You will recall that just a few days after I assumed office as the governor of Imo State, I inaugurated the security outfit known as Operation Search and Flush,(OSF), which brought together all the different security agencies to work as a team to fight every form of criminality. The objective then and now is to rout and root out every aspect of crime in our state. I empowered the outfit then with a record of 100 patrol vehicles and sophisticated communication equipments to help them achieve the objective. There is no doubt that that intervention yielded positive results, the recent pockets of crime here and there notwithstanding. Let me; therefore, commend the heads of security agencies in Imo State and their men for their supportive roles in keeping Imo State and her citizenry safe. No matter what might have happened recently, the gallantry and sacrifices of these patriotic officers have never been in doubt. May I use this opportunity to commiserate with families of the officers who paid the supreme price in the course of executing their lawful duties. My administration will always do the needful to cushion the pains of these losses. In like manner, we shall do all that we can to ameliorate the pains of families who lost their loved ones in the course of accidental engagements with security agencies. Our sincere condolences go to the affected families. My beloved people of Imo State, in a way we can say that today's event is part of our response to the evolving security challenges in the state. We are reinforcing what we started last year. We are reenergising the security architecture in the state to make it more proactive and result-oriented. These vehicles and equipment being donated by my administration are eloquent testimony to our resolve to confront and combat criminality headlong. Furthermore, in the coming weeks, I shall be integrating the Imo State Vigilante outfit, otherwise known as Ebubeagu to complement the efforts of Operation Search and Flush, in fighting crime in the state. Let me, therefore, use the auspicious occasion of this memorable event to declare a total war against crime, criminality and their sponsors in the state. In this regard, I am today declaring a zero-tolerance for crime in Imo State. From now onwards Imo State shall be a no go area for criminals. We shall take the war to the doorway of all criminals; their kindred, their hamlets and their hideout. We shall smoke them out and flush them out of Imo State. Consequently, I hereby charge our security agencies to chase the criminals to their hideouts. All smoking joints where marijuana and other dangerous drugs are sold and used should be searched and flushed out. Henceforth, any landlord who avails his property to criminals, even smokers of weeds would be answerable to the law. In like manner, any traditional ruler in whose domain criminals abides and who fails to report same to relevant authorities will be held accountable. We can no longer tolerate a situation whereby our state is used as a breeding haven for criminals. To the good people of Imo State and residents, I say to you, you are Safe; go about your lawful engagements without any fear of molestation. No shaking. Your safety is guaranteed. On that note, it is my pleasure to present these vehicles and equipments to the Operation Search and Flush outfit to further reinforce their operational capacity in the onerous task of protecting lives and property in Imo State. Thank you. God bless Imo State Sen. Hope Uzodimma Governor, Imo State #HopeNewAndElectronicMediaCenter

BROADCAST BY GOVERNOR HOPE UZODIMMA OF IMO STATE ON THE OCCASION OF THE CELEBRATION OF MAY DAY, IN OWERRI, ON MAY 1, 2021 Today is a great day for workers all over the globe. May 1st, otherwise known as May Day is traditionally reserved World over to celebrate workers. To celebrate the noble sacrifices workers have made to ensure better working conditions for all workers. Some of them paid with their lives just to secure a better tomorrow for the working class. On this auspicious occasion of May Day celebration therefore I salute workers all over the country, particularly Imo State workers, for their understanding in the face of the Coronavirus which threatened the welfare of workers. To Imo State workers I say thank you for your patience, for your cooperation and patriotism, in the face of the numerous challenges that assailed us on assumption of office. Apart from the fact that the dreaded Covid 19 pandemic welcomed us in office, we in addition inherited an empty treasury. The situation was not made any better by the fact that there was no handover note to navigate our take-off as government. Notwithstanding these daunting challenges, we did not just hit the ground running but did so with uncommon courage and innovation which has changed our dear state for the better. Prominent in this regard is the complete digitalization of the fiscal operations of the state which has greatly reduced corruption in the public sector. Behind this revolutionary automation exercise is a data centre that is ranked the best in the country. Fortunately for us, during the trying times of the automation process, the organized Labour stood firmly behind us. This is the time to appreciate you the workers for your solidarity and maturity. Thank you very much indeed. I am glad to note that as the saying goes, after the rain comes sunshine. Today our payroll system is fully automated and our workers and pensioners are paid regularly as and when due, except for the few that still have issues with their data information. However, these issues are being resolved expeditiously and all those affected are assured of the prompt payment of their outstanding arrears once their issues are resolved. You will recall that after addressing the payroll system, I tackled the issue of welfare for Imo workers. Apart from ensuring that I secured a conducive working environment for you through rehabilitation of the Secretariat and provision of critical infrastructure therein, I saw to it that official vehicles were provided for Permanent Secretaries to ease their transportation problems. I followed it up by providing free buses for junior civil servants. These have been running religiously. You would have noticed that disgruntled politicians in concert with militants and other criminal elements have unleashed violence in our state known traditionally for its peace and hospitality. Unable to contain themselves over the developmental strides of our administration in just one year, these enemies of our state have devised devious ways of not only distracting us but striking fear in our citizens. Some of them have even come out to unmask their real intention which are to make the state ungovernable. Let me assure the good people of Imo State that investigations to unmask the sponsors of these security breaches in the state have reached an advanced stage. Very soon the long arm of the law will expose and prosecute them Recall that at the onset of this administration, these same people had vowed to make the state ungovernable for us. Our only crime against them is our resolve to hand over the state and its resources to the people as the true owners. While I sympathize with them over their feeble and futile efforts at intimidating us, let me declare here that the state will employ all lawful machinery at its disposal to crush criminality. Last Sunday’s attempt to burn down my country home was just their Lilliputian way of sending the message that Imo State is insecure. As always, they failed woefully. The government in collaboration with all the security agencies is more than capable to protect the lives and property of all residents of the state. I swore an oath to that. I will never shirk this sacred responsibility. It is quite unfortunate that despite the impressive progress we have recorded in the first year in office, some people have failed to appreciate the glaring evidence everywhere that Imo State has taken a turn for the better. This group of fifth columnists has therefore elected to disrupt the peace of the state. Although their actions are quite regrettable, it is my duty as the Governor of the state to ask everyone to sheath the sword and make room for development. I must warn that the day of mindless criminality in the state are over. Let me use this opportunity to assure all Imo people that I will leave no stone unturned in ensuring the security and safety of all of us. Be rest assured that my administration is willing, able and capable of protecting the lives and property of all Imo people and residents alike. Without any fear of contradiction, I can declare to you that the recent security challenges in the state have been effectively contained. Imo people should therefore go about their lawful businesses without any fear whatsoever. In the last one year, this administration has been responsive to the yearnings of our people by resuscitating critical infrastructure including roads. Just before the recent security breaches, distinguished Nigerians including President Muhammadu Buhari(GCFR), have commissioned some of the 22 completed roads while work is ongoing on 24 others. We brought back Adaplam Nig. Ltd into life after years of abandonment. We brought back Otamiri Waterworks to life. People in Owerri metropolis now have access to potable water. As workers, you should be glad that we have created a platform to make our youths employers of labour instead of roaming the streets aimlessly. Through our empowerment programme, we have trained thirty thousand of our youths in different skills and we will soon assist them with the resources to start up their own businesses. Our women are also beneficiaries. In the areas of education, agriculture and technology, we have done quite a lot. The details could be found in my one year anniversary brochure. But suffice it to say here that I have kept faith with my promise to Imo people to serve you honestly and diligently. So as we celebrate this year's May day, my assurance to the people of the state and especially our workers is that I will continue to do my best to ensure that things get better for all of us. I want to assure the workers of Imo State that your welfare will always remain my number one priority. Whatever is necessary to make the organised Labour leadership more effective and efficient I assure you of my commitment to it. In this respect, I assure you that all outstanding check-off dues for the different unions will be cleared in the next few weeks. In like manner, I will not relent in ensuring that Imo workers get the best available training and retraining opportunities and the best available working conditions. I am not a man who makes excuses. I have come to work for the people, no matter the circumstances. No amount of distraction can derail me from my mission. All I ask is for enabling environment of peace so that Imo People can get the very best we can offer. For us to see those better days, we must refrain from acts that would impede development and progress. We must therefore resolve that this is the only state we have and we should not let any selfish political interest come between us and the state. Politics will come and go but Imo state will remain. Yes, Imo state is the only state we can call our own. Let us preserve and protect our commonwealth. Let us say no to banditry and anarchy. Both are ill winds that blow no one any good. Once again, congratulations to the great workers of Imo State on this occasion of May day celebration. Thank you all and God bless. Sen. Hope Uzodimma Governor

SAYS EMOTIONAL BLACKMAIL WILL NOT STOP THE RECOVERY OF IMO COMMONWEALTH An Imolite, Mr Paul Ihunanya Ezeafurukwe, has disclosed Imo state’s government resolve to recover the looted common wealth of the state, from the immediate past administration of Rochas Okorocha. “EMOTIONAL BLACKMAIL WILL NOT STOP THE RECOVERY OF IMO COMMONWEALTH One thing Okorocha and his men should quit doing is to recklessly remind Imolites of their situation and how much more they looted our commonwealth during Okorocha’s unproductive 8 years in office just to emotionally blackmail Imolites thereby currying sympathy and pitch them against Gov. Hope Uzodimma and his recovery moves. It has become obvious even to Okorocha and his men that until they return what they stole from the state, they won’t enjoy the goodwill they crave for and this has left them in a state of dilemma. They’re equally aware that Gov. Hope Uzodimma is more than serious in the quest to recover all and he is not giving in to their distractions. Hence, they want to arm twist him with the people. Rochas Okorocha and his hallelujah boys are the biggest clowns if they still think Imolites are interested in their circus of play or still living in their tall dreams of being the puppeteer and Imolites puppets after what they did to us during the ill-fated administration. Anything Okorocha sparks off anger and retribution and if not for the legal and mature approach of the governor towards this issue, Okorocha would’ve been clamped down by angry Imolites. His free movement in and out of Imo state is as a result of the diplomatic approach deployed by Gov Hope Uzodimma to recover our commonwealth. Outside that, Imolites in their numbers would have mobbed Rochas and his urchins ( I guess we have not forgotten the Uche Onyeaguocha and his airport saga) Let us reinstate our resolve and state it clearly to Okorocha and his boys parading all sorts of images and crooked piece of writing that no amount of emotional blackmail can turn the people against Gov. Hope Uzodimma or his quest to recover back what belongs to the people. Rather than wasting their time on childish comical conspiracies, they should count all that belongs to state and start returning them immediately. Imolites should disregard the wailings of the wailers as it is mischievous and another ploy to get their attentions off the recovery of their commonwealth but continue to trust and believe that Gov. Hope Uzodimma means well for all and sundry and his style of recovery is not vindictive or an act of witch-hunt but one done through due process and for the benefit of all.

A REPLY TO GOVERNOR ROCHAS OKOROCHA'S OUTBURST AGAINST THE DEPUTY GOVERNOR OF IMO STATE Re: OKOROCHA AS A BAD LOSER By Uche Onwuchekwa Reading a recent statement credited to the Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the embattled Governor of Imo State, Chief Rochas Okorocha, in his usual confused state and in another inglorious media tirade against the Deputy Governor, one may wonder how a supposed image maker again inadvertently mocks his boss in such a disgraceful manner. In the diatribe, Sam Onwuemeodo, the CPS in his tersely written lamentation titled: "Imo Politics: The Known Losers", published in his news letter last Monday, November 19 edition, demonstrated his shallow mindedness, which only exposed himself and Chief Okorocha to public ridicule. Rather than consult Public Relations experts to help him find a subtle way to give his rain soaked boss a soft landing, Onwuemwodo has been labouring relentlessly in de-marketing the 'guy', borrowing the chief press secretary's diction. I had thought that Okorocha should have stopped digging when he is already in a ditch as advised by the then APC spokesman, Bolaji Abdulahi in June, 2018. Again, the National Chairman of the party Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has advised the Imo Governor to refrain from being a bad loser by accepting his defeat at the last APC primary elections. It is really unbelievable that a self acclaimed media wizard does not have any inkling of the fact that our Governor has been politically decimated, following his self inflicted harrowing political purgation catalysed by sheer greed, ego centricism, nepotism, and above all, familiocracy. Describing His Excellency, the Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere as a loser in the present political process is rather unfortunate. Such unfortunate entreaties can only come from an Onwuemeodo who lacks the capacity and the analytical mind to read the dynamics of politics playing out in the State. The game of politics in a democracy is never imperialistic. Imo State is not a conquered territory as Okorocha would have himself and his vulnerable subjects believe; and as such should know that the attempt to foist familiocracy through the recent Primaries has failed woefully. It is important that robotic Onwuemeodo is reminded of the fact that the first line charge of any government is security of life and property. Hence where a government has turned to a real threat to the governed by activities of the same government that promises to protect them, any discerning smart person should know that the party is over. From this standpoint, it is important to educate Onwuemeodo that what matters is not about the individual's interest but the collective interest of Imo people. It is a truism that the trials of Prince Madumere were hinged on three major factors, which are anti people's policy and policy summersault, morality and acceptability of foisting a son-in-law on Imo people against their will and finally, the issue of zoning principle anchored tripod stand of equity, fair play and justice. Truly, Prince Madumere, his brothers - Chief Theodore Ekechi, Commodore Peter Gbujie, Sir Jude Ejiogu among others in all seriousness pursued Owerri zone agenda, giving it all the necessary push with enthusiasm. There were camaraderie between and among leaders and sociopolitical organisations of sister zones where agreements were reached in principle. Interestingly it was the same Okorocha who insisted that his will and not that of the people will be done. He even boasted and gloried in God's glory, telling everyone who sang in discordant tune to go to hell. He sponsored all manner of laughable endorsement visits just to forcefully push down his bitter pills down the throat of Imolites. The Deputy Governor for posterity sake led the movement to ensure that Imo does not become a place where freedom of her people are taken a way; where fundamental rights of the people which are satisfactorily guaranteed in a liberal democracy are not eroded by Governor Okorocha's reckless disregard to rule of law. Despite the reign of thugs in the polity where Imolites were treated like common criminals in their own land with lives of members of the coalition of the All Progressives Congress and their leaders on constant threat. In the midst of such use of naked force, Madumere led coalition forces fought on. In war situations, every participant is a loser. The huge losses made in logistics and loss of manpower alone shows that there is no lone loser in war. At this level, the bottom line is the ability of a State to preserve its interest. The same logic is applicable to that of Okorocha versus Coalition forces. Onwuemeodo must be reminded that the campaign for Owerri zone governorship started as equity movement but given the intractable nature of the battle where Imo's common wealth was unleashed on the people. To contain this onslaught, came the birth of coalition forces and in such alliances, there is bound to be concessions leading to shifting of positions. Within this purview, counting on goals for choosing to go to war, Owerri zone heroes rather than lose out, in that dicey situation sacrificed lzonal interest for the ultimate interest of liberating the State from the shackles of bondage; they gave Owerri zone the foundation to request of the State what is due them rather than being confine to the dust bin of history manacled by a dynasty of Okorocha's family. Interestingly, Okorocha unmistakeably is the biggest loser because, he did not only fail to foist his son-in-law on Imo people but was ingloriously demystified. All myths around the hero has been broken to pieces thereby making him most vulnerable and mere ordinary. Nothing so special after all. It was also Okorocha who told the whole world that his Deputy, His Excellency, Prince Madumere had no political value. This is another great point proven by Madumere that he is a political Iroko. Beyond this, Imolites have come to appreciate the fact that they have a leader who can be trusted and who can sacrifice personal gain for his people. Emergence of Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma is another victory for Prince Madumere's leadership and ingenuity. This has in no little measure brought Okorocha to his knees to kiss the political dust. How the Coalition chooses to manage their victory should not be Okorocha's business. The only choice left for him is to eat the humble pie and realign himself, which must come with condition or work out his salvation from other quarters. It is also relevant that I remind Onwuemeodo that our Governor, Chief Rochas Okorocha has lost this political battle on all fronts and should be humble enough to accept that and go through the process of political purgatory for reacceptance into the system. It is irreconciliable to note that Onwuemeodo rather than advise his boss to be humble in defeat in the spirit of sportsmanship, is busy mocking Okorocha to continue in an illusional journey that that shall lead him to his political Golgotha. The question is who is the greatest loser here? Haba! Onwuemeodo is simply a court jester who has not failed yet in treating his audience to a rib cracking clowning. Uche Onwuchekwa is the Special Assistant to the Deputy Governor on Media

Trouble as Uche Nwosu seeks AGAP ticket, original winners threaten law suit There was an alledged dramatic twixt yesterday in Abuja at the National headquarters of All Grand Alliance Party (AGAP), following the alleged arm-twisting of the trio, Dr Iroegbu Njoku, (OMENUKO) Dr. Kachi Nwoga and Hon Okonya Edward by Governor Okorocha’s son In-law, Hon Uche Nwosu to fly the Party’s flag for 2019 governorship election after an unsuccessful attempt to use the Social Democratic Party (SDP). The development which came as a rude shock to political watchers, has kept many AGAP members dumbfounded. The situation has led to one of the frontline aspirants in the person of Dr. Iroegbu Njoku to threaten to go to court against the candidacy of Uche Nwosu, if the party fails to reverse the decision. Dr Njoku who is the winner of the 7 th October, 2018 primaries of AGAP and who was adjudged to have the financial muscle, capacity and technical know-how said that he would never allow any body no matter how highly placed to ridicule his efforts in the party not to talk of taking his mandate. Efforts to reach, the State Chairman, Chief Ugo .C. Ugo, Hon Okonya, Dr Nwoga to collaborate the story proved abortive at the time of filling this report. Interestingly Imo AGAP party under the leadership of Chief Ugo as the State Chairman has been very peaceful before agents of Okorocha’s government sneaked into the party which climaxed the hijacking of the party in Abuja as rumored. Party members, who spoke to newsmen in anonymity, were not willing to comments on the development but are keenly watching the unfolding scenario. Information gathered further confirmed that governorship race in AGAP has been a very serious business that requires honesty, integrity and good conduct. The source further disclosed that the All Grand Alliance Party AGAP will not be willing to give their ticket to politicians with bad pedigrees, bad antecedents, political tugs and blackmailers. The source also quotes the party as saying that their governorship ticket is for a candidate they consider to possess verifiable financial resources to pursue their campaign to a successful conclusion. It concluded that as at now the party has not declared anyone as their governorship flag bearer in Imo State.

*SECURITY ALERT AS PLANS TO CAUSE MAYHEM IN IMO STATE TOMORROW 1ST NOVEMBER EXPOSED* The governor of Imo state Rochas Okorocha today criminally invited all the spare parts and article dealers from *Alaba and *Relieve Market* to *Hereos Square* and equally brought his thugs to cause confusion that will eventually lead to uncontrollable rioting in the state, which will be filmed and spread across social media that Imo people are rioting because Ugwumba Uche Nwosu was denied the gubernatorial ticket of APC for 2019 election. Unknowingly to the governor, his evil plans had already leaked to the unsuspecting traders of his intentions hence they declined to honor his invitation to assemble at the Hereos square earlier today. Since the original plans has failed earlier today, the governor who is bent on actualizing his evil plans had again arranged with his thugs to invade *Relieve Market* tonight where he had already sent bulldozers to demolish the *Relieve Market* with specific instructions to his thugs to cause the same mayhem in the state. The sole purpose of this plans is to send a signal that Imolites are rioting and protesting against Sen. Hope Uzodinma's gubernatorial candidacy which had already been publicised by vanguard online news today. Now the question is, how can a single man be so desperate to the extent that he wants to destroy Imo state because of his son-in-law's personal ambition? In this instance, I will never forget a qoute from former president Goodluck Jonathan who said and I qoute that *My personal ambition is not worth any blood of innocent Nigerian* this is the word of a true Democrat and a Leader. People should learn to lead by example. People should learn to be a good loser as well. Rochas and his familiocracy should let Imo people be in peace after 7 and half years of regrets, torments and agony of treacherous wickedness and greed, the greed of one man and primitive accumulation of material things cannot and will never overide the wellbeing of entire Imolites. A word is enough for the wise. Thank God that indeed it ended in praise. |
NWC Drops Okorocha’s In Law, Adopt Hope Uzodinma The National Working Committee NWC of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC has adopted Sen. Hope Uzodinma as the governorship candidate of the party for Imo state. Senator Hope Uzodimma as it was gathered that the final decision on the issue was taken during a meeting of the NWC held Wednesday in Abuja. Accordingly, the party has concluded all arrangements to send the name of the senator to the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC ahead of the November 2 deadline for the submission of governorship candidates. A source who was privy to the outcome of the meeting of the NWC said the meeting again reviewed the conduct of primaries in the states especially in areas where there were challenges and decided to weigh its options before arriving at major decisions. “Although, the chairman was summoned to the villa in the middle of the meeting, but the decision on Imo was almost unanimous. Hope Uzodinma is the man”, said the source. It had earlier reported how the party leadership had asked the Imo state Governor, Rochas Okorocha to chose between his senatorial ambition and his desire to have his son in-law, Mr Nwosu as his successor. The governor was reported to have explained why he and Mr Nwosu were the best candidates for the governorship and senatorial seats, arguing that no one could win election in the state as presently constituted without his backing. Before then, the national chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole had advised the governor to cede 45 percent of the party structure to the Sen. Uzodinma group in a bid to cater for the interest of the contending forced within the party. |
The police must do more to uncover the true identities of those suspects... Maybe its another fake news.
