TravelUber Set To Launch Bus Services In Lagos State by Nnaeb(op): 6:55pm On Oct 02, 2017
Uber have concluded plans to expand its business in Lagos and Cairo with the introduction of a bus service in the two cities.

Uber’s bus service allows riders to save time by waiting for their cab in a pre-arranged location, and being dropped off at any point along a predetermined route.

Currently, Uber operates in Lagos, the economic capital of Nigeria and in the Cairo, the capital of Egypt.

It was gathered that the Uber bus service is being planned to fill the vacuum that might be created should the Lagos State Government eventually ban danfo (commuter) buses from the city.

A source at the Uber office in Nigeria also told our correspondent that another consideration in the planned launch of a bus service was due to the loss in revenue in the last eight months to a competitor.

“We have lost hundreds of drivers to a rival company, and we are losing more by the day, owing to certain reasons given by the drivers. Most of the drivers are even on the two platforms – Uber and Taxify – with most having committed their loyalty to the competitor.

“There is no doubt that the bus service, if eventually launched, will attract many new drivers to the app, especially at a time that the state government is working on banning yellow buses in Lagos,” the source said.

On his part, Uber’s General Manager for Sub-saharan Africa, Alon Lits, said, “Drivers love being as flexible as they like; earning what they want, whether it’s a full-time entrepreneur or someone looking to supplement their income.”

He said, “Ongoing commitment to our driver-partners is a key priority; ensuring they receive the latest in technological innovations means they can be at the top of their game.”

Lits added, “Four years have gone by incredibly quickly. We have learnt and grown; we look back at our time in Sub-Saharan Africa with pride because we have achieved so much and look forward to what’s next to come.”

Another statement from Uber’s office in Egypt read, “With over 90 million inhabitants and notoriously heavy traffic, Uber’s bus service will cater to a market of 5.2 million daily commuters on public transport, especially as most of the existing buses need urgent repair due to a train crash that occurred last month, killing 37 people. Egypt is among the deadliest countries for commuters with over 14,500 crashes in 2015 alone.”

It added, “The bus service in Egypt signals the beginning of further expansion of Uber in Africa. If its bus service does well in Egypt, the ride hailing service will find its way to other parts of Africa with huge population and substandard public transport options.”

TravelHow To Cope In Lagos As A Professional Without A Car by Nnaeb(op): 9:31am On Sep 25, 2017
Most young and fresh career persons working in Lagos State will have to face the challenges of having to pursue their careers in this town without a car of their own. Also even as Lagos state Government is looking at improving the public transport system in order to reduce the number of private cars on the road as a strategy for minimizing traffic, you must learn how to deal with the uncertainties and the obvious experiences that the street have to offer.

I have encountered, on numerous occasions, persons who have allowed the fact that they do not have a car, take a toll on their professional lives. If you don’t handle this stage of your career life properly, it has the capacity of affecting your personal finances, image, psyche and ultimately, your productivity.

So, today, I will be sharing some tips that can help you cope in Lagos city without a private car.

Transportation Cost
Lagos State is famous for its high cost of transportation; but, the truth is that, you can cut down on what you spend on transportation if you become more aware of your environment. I can remember vividly when I relocated to Lagos, I spent exactly #750 daily on transportation cost alone going to work. It was eating deep into my monthly take home, so I had no option but to shine my eyes wella. Like one of my friends will always say, “I no come Lagos come count bridge”, so I had to become more ruthless with my finances, and I also increased my street awareness. This brought down the transportation cost to just #300 daily.
Please guys, let’s use our heads. Unlike the ladies, no matter how long we stand at that bus-stop, no one is going to give us a lift until the next solar eclipse. So we must be street smart and prudent in spending as regards our movement. Take advantage of the BRT services and the ‘molues’. They are cost effective. Don’t use bikes unnecessarily. Try walking some distance especially after work. It is good for our health ok. *winks*

Uber or any other private taxi services is also a good alternative if you must maintain a certain image.

Public Conduct
Before your ride arrives, it is important you conduct yourself properly in the public for a better image and security reasons. Ensure, you use the pedestrian bridge where ever it is provided instead of crossing the highway. Even if you won’t use the pedestrian bridge because it is the civil thing to do, use it to avoid being a prey for the scavenging eyes of the men in uniform. Those KAI guys can really make your day start on a bad note and you don’t want that. Even though I learnt that they have been assigned a new job in waste management but make use of the bridge still. It is safer.

Secondly, avoid sitting on the aisle in the BRT. This way, you reduce the chances of other passengers messing up your clothes with their luggage and stamping the hell out of your shoes. While the seat by the window is most preferable, remember not take phone calls with your hand that is by the window to avoid stories that touch.

Finally, reduce the rate at which you eat in a public transport or in the street.

Clean-up Kit
For those of us who work in a more professional environment that requires you to always appear cool, calm and calculated, it is important that we acquire a handy clean up kit that will enable us maintain that cutting edge professional image. Most ladies already know this, but carrying a mini clean-up kit is not an exclusive reserve for the female folks. Guys, we also need the clean-up kit.
There is no excuse for showing up untidy to work or before a prospective clients for the guys in the field. By the time you are done jumping from one BRT to another Danfo, then to one ‘Marwa’ (Keke Napep), you will realize that you are no longer looking your best.

So for the guys, I will suggest that we arm ourselves with a simple clean up kit that will consist of a face towel for keeping our face dry and dust-free, a spare handkerchief for dusting our shoes, a hair brush or a comb, a powder and a cologne for maintaining that fresh aura.

You know how it is, when you leave your house in the morning smelling and looking good, but then you have to pass through an area where some boys will bath you with the smoke of their Indian hemp; or you find yourself having to deal with areas along your route that produces a very strong stench from undisposed waste. Even when you finally board a vehicle to your destination, one ‘Iya Abike’ will also board the same vehicle with her carton of Fresh Fish to complete the deformation process. By the time you get to your destination, you can’t even tell what you are smelling of. This will affect your confidence level and ultimately your productivity. A simple clean up kit will be handy in this situation.

Use your bag and free up your pockets
It is not proper to keep your pant pockets too busy. Things like your wallet, extra phones, ear piece, handkerchief, money and your key should be kept in your bag. It helps you to be more coordinated and more aware of yourself. Having most of this things in your back pocket or breast pocket makes you look tardy and also vulnerable to theft, loss or damage of your properties.

Remember, the idea is for you to be at your best always, and make the most of what you have at the moment. Cherish the moments you have to work without your own ride. Don’t allow your professionalism, competency or productivity to be questioned because you don’t have a car yet.

Travel5 Reasons Why I Love Lagos City by Nnaeb(op): 5:54pm On Sep 19, 2017
If you have known me for a while, you will attest to the fact that I am a die-hard fan of Lagos city. My friends will tell you that I would rather choose the best Lagos has to offer as against relocating to Europe. Worst of all is that I find it difficult adjusting to life in any other state in Nigeria. The long and short of it all is that I love Lagos. These are my reasons;

Lagos as Center of Excellence

Literally Lagos is a center of excellence. Whatever field you play in, the moment you decide to compete at the highest level, Lagos should be your destination. If you can beat the level of competition in Lagos, then you are really good at what you do. Lagos standard is global standard. If you are seen to be good in Lagos city, then you are good anywhere in the world. That is why it is not surprising to see Fashion designers from this city rock international runway with their designs, filmmakers shut down international film festivals, music artistes that have conquered this city have a global platform and Local businesses giving multinationals a good run for their money.

Lagos is the Hollywood of Africa

Lagos runs show biz like no other. Every entertainer that wants to attract global attention desires to play in Lagos. I can arguably say that in Africa, our music industry is the best and most viable, our movie industry is the best, our fashion industry is the biggest, our comedy industry is the fastest growing and when compared to other Nigerian cities, Lagos City is the best tourist destination with lots of options.

Lagos is a Land of Possibilities

I am not saying this to mean that things are not possible in other Nigerian cities, but being an economic hub creates a lot of possible options for anybody no matter where you come from. As a stand-alone, Lagos economy is the fifth largest economy in Africa and will become the third largest by 2019 according to experts. How many states in Nigeria have the capacity to produce billionaires that are strictly private sector driven? There are billionaires in Lagos state that has no affiliations whatsoever with the government house. In Lagos state, anybody can become a multi-millionaire irrespective of their age, sex, tribe, religion or political affiliations. If you raise your game, this land will produce for you.

Lagos as a Networking Hub

No man is an Island of himself. In our journey to greatness, we will always need to leverage on relationships. No matter what you want to do, there are people that have gone ahead of you in that venture. Lagos state provides you with a pool of friends, mentors, leaders, disruptors and influencers. The richest black man in the world sleeps and wakes up in this city. Who is it you are looking for? Africa’s finest entrepreneurs, Media Moguls, A-list Bloggers, Tech-disruptors, show biz promoters, Leading Gospel Acts, Corporate Executives, Motivational Speakers and Life coaches are all here. No matter how big the person is, in Lagos, he or she is just one person away from you. You can easily access help, mentorship and training.

Lagos is a home for all

Lagos is arguably the most accommodating state in Nigeria even though it is also one of the most expensive cities in the world. Lagos has something for everybody irrespective of your social class. No matter how broke or economically disadvantaged you are, you will always fin d a house you can afford, feeding is not a problem, flexing is guaranteed as there are free fun spots and shows. I don’t know of any other state where you can visit a food vendor and order rice- 50 Naira, beans- 30 Naira, kpomo – 20 Naira, spaghetti – 30 Naira, plantain-20 Naira. In this same city a plate of food goes for 15,000 Naira. Choose your poison. Lol

FoodAmbode Introduces Eko Coconut Bread by Nnaeb(op): 2:52pm On Sep 16, 2017
The Lagos State Government on Friday introduced a specially-produced loaf made from coconut, known as Eko Coconut Bread to promote the coconut value chain in the state.

The Eko Coconut Bread is produced by the Lagos State Coconut Development Authority (LASCODA) in Badagry, Lagos.

Mr Ganiyu Okanlawon, Special Adviser to Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode on Food Security, who represented the governor at the occasion said that the production of the loaf demonstrated the state government’s commitment to boost food security in the state.

“The production of the specially-made loaf from coconut is a demonstration of the state government’s commitment to promote the coconut value chain in the state.

“This development is a step in the right direction in realising the full potential derivable from coconut and making the state a food secured place,’’ he said.

Okanlawon said that Coconut had been scientifically proven to have a lot of medicinal value when consumed on a regular basis.

According to him, Coconut can be used for quick healing of wounds, cough and the prevention of cancer. “ However, the consumption of coconut products is still limited thus making its medicinal value less exploited.

“But with the introduction of coconut in bread production, it will go a long way in ensuring the consumption of coconut by a large proportion of the populace,’’ he said.

Okanlawon listed coconut oil, coconut cream, soap, coconut water, hair cream, coconut body cream, coconut candy and many others, as other products that could be produced from coconut, aside bread.

CultureEbonyi People To Protest Indigenes’ Indiscriminate Street Hawking In Lagos by Nnaeb(op): 1:34pm On Sep 15, 2017
[img][/img]
Come Sunday September 17, the Ebonyi State Development Association (ESDA) Lagos will be embarking on a walk to protest the indiscriminate street hawking, especially in Lagos State purported to be carried out mostly by the indigenes of Ebonyi.

With this walk billed to take place this Sunday in Badagry, Lagos, the association is making a clarion call to all well-meaning Nigerians to join hands together to fight against the act of street trading and hawking.

To this end, by Sunday September 17, the train will be moving to Badagry for a show that will change the lives and future of the Nigerian youths as well as the state and the human race.

Take off time for the exercise tagged “ Street Hawking Sensitization Awareness”, will be 7:30a.m from Ebonyi House, Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way, Ikeja , Lagos.

A prominent member of the association, Emanuel Ndugo, “Research conducted about a year ago shows that over 65/70 per cent of hawkers in most cities around Nigeria are from Ebonyi State. And that out of every 10 hawkers on the highway seven are from Ebonyi and this menace in a great measure is causing the state a lot of embarrassment.

The Lagos State Government, some time ago, issued a law to commence total enforcement against street trading and street hawkers, saying that the law banning their activities across the metropolis would take its full course. “
Speaking further, he said, “I once went to help bail a victim and what I witnessed was appalling: apart from paying so much to get themselves out, they also lose their wares and sometimes contact different ailment. In fact you need to visit the Lagos State Task Force HQ Alausa or any of their offices to understand what our people are going through.”

“We are known for farming which happens to be one of the ways the nation is diversifying into and the state government is encouraging and supporting that course. We are therefore calling on every Nigerian to join Ebonyi State Development Association, Lagos to preach the gospel on the sensitisation programme around Lagos and its environs,” Ndugo, noted.

CrimeLagos Ministry Of Youth Director Commits Suicide by Nnaeb(op): 1:22pm On Sep 13, 2017
A Director in the Lagos State Ministry of Youths, Mr. Oludare Buraimoh’s lifeless body was found dangling from the ceiling in his apartment in Ogun State.

According to a source, Oludare Buraimoh, who lived in Unity Estate, Phase II, Gbonagun, Abeokuta, Ogun State, allegedly took his life after having a brief discussion with his son, Dotun, who was said to be ill. Apparently, in shock, many sympathisers, yesterday, thronged the residence of the deceased to commiserate with the bereaved family over the tragic death of their breadwinner.

At press time, several attempts to speak with spokesperson of Lagos State Government for comments over the incident were unsuccessful.

According to Dotun, the incident occurred at about 4p.m, after he complained about malaria symptoms to his father.

He said: “We were both at home. He came to give me some drugs and left. I thought he was going to retire to his room. But when I did not hear his voice, I called him. There was no response. “I, thereafter, went to his room only to find him hanging from the ceiling on a traditional Aso Oke tied round his neck. I then alerted the neighbours, who, in turn, told me to alert the Police, which I did.”

The widow to Oludare Buraimoh, said: “I don’t know what came over him; it is inexplicable.

We have been surviving through thick and thin and now that we ought to sit down and enjoy, after all the years of toiling, he decided to take his own life. “He did not show any sign of depression at the time he committed suicide. He was in high spirits; what led him to this remains a riddle.”

Deputy Superintendent of Police Rasheed Olaleye of the Obantoko Police Station confirmed the incident, but declined to give further comments, saying the Divisional Police Officer was in the best position to respond to all inquiries concerning the case.

CrimeCustoms Impounds 1,100 Rifles Headed To South-east From Turkey by Nnaeb(op): 8:44am On Sep 12, 2017
Operatives of the Nigeria Customs Service (NSC) have intercepted a container loaded with 1,100 pieces of pump action rifles at Tin Can port, Apapa, Lagos, making a total of 2,201 such arms seized at three different times this year.

The Comptroller-General of NSC, Hameed Ali, who paraded the arms at Tin Can port command yesterday, disclosed that the rifles were discovered in a 20-foot container with number GESU2555208 which originated from Turkey. He said two people had been arrested – the customs officer that authorised the cutting of the seal and a terminal clerk.

The customs had in January seized 661 pieces of pump action rifles, which were found in 49 boxes. And in May, the operatives intercepted 440 pieces of assorted pump action rifles, which originated from Turkey and were concealed inside a 40-foot container.

Ali, who was apparently worried about the incessant smuggling of arms in recent days, said the two cases were already in court, “while the service looks forward to justice being served to deter other would-be arms smugglers.” He expressed displeasure that all the three containers of arms intercepted by the service this year were from Turkey.

Other stakeholders in the maritime industry have also raised concerns over the cargoes from Turkey. Some advised the Federal Government to urgently halt general importation from Turkey, saying recent events indicated that the country was contributing to insecurity in Nigeria.

Giving details on how the 20ft container was intercepted, Ali said it was falsely declared to contain wash-hand basins and water closets.“On the 6th of September, 2017 operatives of the Nigeria Customs Service intelligence unit on a routine monitoring of activities across the terminals discovered a 1x20ft container with number GESU2555208, which was not previously listed for examination, positioned with other containers for the day’s examination.

“They also observed that the seal of this unlisted container had already been cut and padlocked. The container became suspect and had to be immediately transferred to the enforcement unit.

“Upon thorough examination, the container was discovered to contain 600 pieces of Jojef Magnum Black Pump action, 300 pieces of Jojef Magnum Silver Pump action and 209 pieces of Jojef Magnum Plastic Single Barrels Hunting Gun Pump Action Rifles.

“The importation of 1100 rifles at a time when the nation is undergoing some security challenges is a clear indication that there are indeed some elements who do not believe in the unity, peace and well being of Nigeria,” he said.

TravelDelta Air Launches Direct New York To Lagos Flight by Nnaeb(op): 12:28pm On Aug 21, 2017
Delta airline is set to launch a new nonstop New york to Lagos flight next year.

The thrice-weekly service will start on March 24, 2018, departing JFK on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 2250, landing into Lagos at 1405 the following day.

The return leg will leave the Nigerian city at 2230, arriving back into New York at 0530 the following day.

The New York to Lagos flight will be operated by an A330-200 aircraft configured for 34 seats in Delta One business class, 32 Delta Comfort + seats, and 168 Main Cabin seats.

The US carrier already serves Lagos with four weekly flights from its Atlanta hub. Delta also operates flights to the African cities of Accra, Dakar, Senegal and Johannesburg.

Commenting on the new service Henry Kuykendall, Delta’s vice president-New York said:

“JFK is one of Delta’s gateways to the world, and we’re proud to make that world a little smaller with the launch of a direct New York to Lagos flight .

“This new route to the African continent joins existing service from JFK to Dakar and Accra, and follows new transatlantic routes to Lisbon, Berlin [a route which restarted in May after a gap of six years] and Glasgow that began this spring.

“We’re proud to continue to grow and refine our network to serve the more than 27 million Delta customers that pass through New York every year.”

TravelLASEMA Launches Drones To Help With Emergency Response by Nnaeb(op): 6:16pm On Aug 15, 2017
In a bid to continually save, protect and sustain lives and livelihoods of residents across the State, the Lagos State Emergency Response Unit (LASEMA) has launched drones to support disaster management and situational awareness in the State.

The newly launched drones will constantly be utilized to support Emergency Response by delivering a bird’s eye view of incident scenes, the Agency said in a statement obtained by InsideMainland.

The agency made the announcement on Twitter, sharing a video of the drone in use on YouTube.

LASEMA has said the drones will help with medical supplies if the respondents run out of supply, especially in cases where recovery can go beyond 24 hours, for instance when a building collapses.

In a statement obtained by Inside Mainland, they said:

“Once an incident is reported through the Lagos State Toll Free Lines (112 & 767), the drone will be deployed ahead of Emergency Responders to provide adequate information what to expect at emergency scenes.

This will then allow respondents organize and prioritize activities based on the severity of the incidence.

CelebritiesTY Bello Shares Inspiring Story Behind Her Rmd’s Shoot For Thisday Style by Nnaeb(op): 11:54am On Aug 14, 2017
The first thought I had about his portraits was water.. and school.. and then Makoko . I killed the idea thinking it was way too random opting for a sleeker shoot at a friends house with a water front.

I was going to borrow a seriously lit boat and make some really smooth images .
Until my friend @msabisoye Invited me for the launch of her new space for @pearlsafrica and Girlscoding where she and her team teach young girls from underserved communities how to write codes ..
This was where I saw Sharon .. this young girl with an amazing smile that came forward and made a beautiful presentation ..standing confidently right in front of Mrs Oby Ezekwesili.

Sharon lives in Makoko a fishing community built on the Lagos lagoon. She spoke about trying to solve the problem of food insecurity by building a website using the knowledge from GirlsCoding, for fishermen to display their goods so people outside the community could buy. She also spoke about using technology to help solve child malnutrition. She was beautiful to watch and the first words that came to mind was.. this girl is a star .

I was shooting Rmd the next day and I switched to my initial idea to shoot in Makoko. I had to find an excuse to photograph her.I called my friend @otto_orondaam founder @slum2school knowing he Had very strong presence in the Makoko community , he hooked me up with the necessary contacts within a couple of hours.

Coincidentally ,Sharon was also a beneficiary @slum2school.
It was a joy to watch Richard Mofe Damijo share the lime lite with this beautiful star from Makoko . .. another big coincidence was that 80% of the movie he was producing next was going to be shot in that same space.I concluded this was no coincidence at all ..Providence had brought it all together .

When I asked RMD if he was a good swimmer as he would not have a life jacket on the canoe..he replied ‘No be Warri boy I be?

HealthBreaking News: LASSA Fever Outbreak Confirmed In Lagos by Nnaeb(op): 7:28am On Aug 09, 2017
There is the fear of an outbreak of Lassa fever in the country as the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) yesterday confirmed that two patients treated have died within a few days of admission in the past one week.

The Chief Medical Director (CMD) of LUTH, Prof. Chris Bode, told journalists that the two patients who were at the advanced stage of the infection died despite efforts to save their lives.

“The first was a 32-year-old pregnant lady with bleeding disorder who died after a stillbirth. Post-mortem examination had been conducted before her Lassa fever status was eventually suspected and confirmed. No less than 100 different hospital workers exposed to this index case are currently being monitored,” he said.

Bode, who is also a professor of paediatrics, said a resident doctor from the Department of Anatomic and Molecular Pathology who took part in the autopsy was later confirmed with the disease and is currently on admission and responding well to treatment at the Isolation Ward of LUTH.

The CMD who visited the Isolation Centre yesterday in the company of his top management staff assured doctors of the hospital’s full support.

The paediatric surgeon enjoined all LUTH workers to maintain a heightened level of alert in the wake of this new outbreak and observe universal precautions in handling all suspected cases of this viral hemorrhagic fever.

He urged Nigerians to notify the response team in LUTH in case of any suspected case of Lassa fever through the following phone numbers : 08058019466, 08058744780, 07035521015 and 08023299445.

CultureSeven Really Cool Places To Hang-out In Lagos With 5,000 Naira Or Less by Nnaeb(op): 4:24pm On Jul 31, 2017
If you’re new in Lagos, a casual Lagos visitor or an everyday Lagos resident, it is no news that Lagos houses some of the country’s coolest hangout spots and lounges. However not all of these spots are affordable to the everyday Lagosian and this may therefore mean minimum fun. So I’m introducing you to 7 really cool places where you can hang out with just 5000 Naira or less.

Ground Zero: From the outside, you may not realize the amount of fun that awaits you as you walk into this two-storey building situated in the heart of Yaba. With 1000 Naira, you get to watch a short film, experience the 7D train ride as well as gain entry into a reception/lounge area where you can play video games. I’m talking about all the Play Station games you can play, as well as a motion-sensor games machine that lets you practice dancing as well as Track sports like Long Throws. Great thing about the Motion Sensor games, there’s room for multiple players. If you’re a fan of Snooker board too, go there and knock yourself out. With one or two bottles of Coke, and a bowl of popcorn or handful of snacks, at Ground Zero, your day is made – at much less than 5000 Naira.

2. Cinemas: If you are a movie lover or you’re simply thinking to hang out with friends, a cinema date could be best. Certain Cinemas like Film House Surulere and Apapa give special discounts on movie tickets on certain days of the week. So you and your friends can find yourselves watching a blockbuster for at least 500 Naira at the Adeniran Ogunsanya or Apapa Mall on certain days of the week. With about 1500 Naira per individual, you can have a lovely cinema hangout with friends.

3. Paintball Centers: if you love yourself some action movies and you’re not averse to playfully acting out your own, try one of the Paintball centers in town. However this one you can’t go alone. You definitely need to make it a group thing to really max out the fun.

4. Lekki Conservation Center: Situated in the heart of Lekki, this place is a really cool place to hang out as a group (friends or family). With about 1,000 paid at the entrance, welcome to a whole lots of fun. However, the last time I was there, you had to come with your own food. I don’t know about now. So if you’re looking to have a picnic, this is the best place to be.

5. GET Arena: For this one, it’s all games and fun. Think Go-carts, car racing and so much more. It’s an ideal place to go with kids and if you’re looking to bring out the child in you, there’s no better place to be. However here each activity is paid for. So you can pick a few choice ones to go on and get yourself some refreshment.

6. Amusement Parks: If like me you remember your childhood days at the Apapa Amusement park, having throwback day won’t be such a bad idea. The park has a new look and is a great place for you and friends or family. However like at the GET Arena, you pay per ride/activity. So you may need to pick a few choice ones and cap it with chilled refreshment.

7. Muri Okunola Park: I think the best thing adults have come to realize about this place asides all the fun you and your friends or family can get here, is the access to free Wi-Fi – thanks to Governor Ambode. About 3 to 5 minutes drive from the Ikeja City Mall, this park is ideal for a group outing. With as low as 500 Naira per adult and armed with a few takeout meals from the nearby Mall, you’ll have a field day.

Think I missed out a few? Feel free to drop your cool hangout places in the comment section. You are also welcome to review these hang-outs.

SportsSavage! See Anthony Joshua's Response To A Reporter Who Wants To Diss Lagos by Nnaeb(op): 3:34pm On Jul 05, 2017
Nigerian Boxing champion , Anthony Joshua is not only quick with his Fists but apparently with his mouth too considering the sarcastic response he gave a reporter who tried to bad mouth Lagos.

A British reporter was interviewing him and asked about the possibility of a fight happening between Joshua and Tyson Fury happening in Lagos.

It took a minute for Anthony Joshua to correct the interviewer’s idea that Lagos was far fetched idea.

‘Is Lagos more far fetched than Vegas?,’ he asked. ‘Lagos is an hour ahead of us or behind us, six hours on the plane. It takes ten and a half hours to get to Vegas.’

British rival Tyson Fury had declared that he would beat Joshua in front of his home crowd in Lagos.

Education is the highest scam pulled on us by our parents and the society
I think you meant to say schooling, not Education. Education is not and will never be a scam.
Education is what remains in us after one has forgotten what he learnt in school.

Embrace Education any how u can. Even if it means going to school. Yes!
