Righteousness exalted a nation. There is nothing wrong in encouraging religion which if done right will promote righteousness. Our problem is not the proliferation of churches, rather it is the practice of all kinds of religion. Look at Isreal, which country is more religious than them? But they have uniformity of religion which helps a lot.
