Typical of our business men and women. I knew this would happen. Now they would quickly claim they can't reduce the prices of goods because they bought the old stocks when dollar was high. But they never hesitated and were quick to increase the price as soon as they heard naira had lost its value despite the fact they also had old stocks they bought at relatively cheaper prices.

So lets get one thing straight,you bought an item for 5naira, you were selling at 8naira, the naira lost its value and the cost of getting the same item rose to 15naira(didnt even stop rising), because you had old stock, you'd continue to sell at 8naira? and then after running your charity and it's time to restock, you add additional cash(the one CBN kept for you)to import again and when prices went up, other things didnt? school fees? transportation? feeding?
