Samantha125: Mine happened when I was ten years old, I fell sick and got admitted in hospital... My condition at the time was stable, but kept deteriorating over time, I had to be transferred to another hospital outside of my province... I stayed there for about two weeks before my first surgery and my parents would sometimes have to go back home as they had other priorities back home, my brother was the one who'd normally come and see me during afternoon visiting hours since he was schooling in the same province I was transferred to and his school wasn't that far from the hospital.
A day for my surgery came and things seemed promising after the procedure, even though I was still on oxygen, things seemed to be headed to the right direction... My parents were by my side for a couple of days and the doctor finally decided to get me off the oxygen since my condition had seemed to have improved... My parents then had to go back home in Limpopo and I remember within a couple of hours after their departure, I started experiencing this heavy feeling within my chest like it was compressed altogether, I complained to one nurse about how I was finding it difficult to breathe properly, she alerted the doctor and they put me back on oxygen while they monitored me through the night.
My doctor came back early in the morning to check up on me before he left and it wasn't until I had my breakfast that my condition turned for the worst, I started hyperventilating to a point that even the oxygen wasn't helping anymore, when I attempted to speak, my voice couldn't come out, I felt myself struggling to exhale by the minute... I was immediately attended to by this other doctor that I didn't recognise, he quickly prepared me and rushed me to the ICU together with the ward's senior nurse, I actually thought I was dying by that moment... After getting to the ICU, they tried getting hold of my parents, but could not reach them.
I was then placed on this other oxygen which had this weird smoky smell, I managed to whisper to the senior nurse that I was thirsty and needed some water to drink, she promised to get me the water, but I quickly passed out, when I woke up, I found myself on a life support system and I was being attended to by this other female doctor... My doctor then came and explained everything to me, apparently I had developed an infection after my first surgery, he also told me how they've been trying to get hold of my parents without any success since as a minor, they needed their consent to conduct another surgery on me as my condition was now critical and required them to conduct an urgent surgery ASAP... So in my parents absence, they took it upon themselves to go ahead with the procedure... Because it was either they wait and I don't make it or they conduct the surgery without my parents' permission and save my life.
I honestly didn't care, I was just relieved that I could breathe again even though I relied on a ventilator... I think my brother had an exam that day, so he also couldn't come and see me... Few hours later, two new doctors that I've never seen before came to fetch me from the ICU to the operating theater, apparently they were assigned to perform the surgery on me by another doctor, I was attended to by a variety of doctors that day with their different specialities.
The following day my brother went to the children's ward like he'd normally do during afternoon visiting hours, but upon getting there, I was nowhere to be found, he was then directed to the ICU and when he got there, I was asleep and the sight of me being surrounded by all those different hospital equipments terrified him... From what he told me, he only stayed for a few minutes and left... He got hold of our parents and instructed them to come to the hospital ASAP for I was dying and from that day on, he stopped coming to visit me... My family arrived in the middle of the night and at first they weren't allowed in since it was way past visiting hours, but they explained to the nurses and doctor how they're from another province and drove to the hospital as soon as they heard the news of my condition.
When they came in, I was awake, but still on a life support system and my wrists were restrained to the bed because the doctors feared that I might start overreacting as a child and harm myself in the process... My cousin only looked at me once and left, he waited outside... I could see in my parents and aunt's eyes that they were also terrified by my condition but trying to be strong... From that moment on, I had to be strong for myself and fight because I could see the hopelessness in everyone's eyes.
I stayed in the ICU for a couple of weeks until my condition became stable and I was moved back to the children's ward... I was taken off the ventilator machine and placed back on the medical oxygen, but I still couldn't speak or eat solid food, I'd use a note pad and a pencil to communicate with everyone... My brother then started visiting me again upon hearing that I was out of the ICU.
My mother would later open up to me about how at one point, she had started preparing herself for the worst, but here am I today healthy and happy...😃😃😃... I'll forever be grateful of those doctors who teamed up together to save my life...☺️☺️☺️
That's my survival story. Thank God for this. Thank God to the nurse also who didn't bring water. It could have been fatal |

When the USB is pluged into a computer, it will start running a game-like code. It is completely done on python. The only problem is that nothing that I've tried manages to run the code as soon as the USB is pluged in. Any ideas? Sounds more like you are trying to drop a virus to infect unsuspecting people's laptop. Why would you want to 'dash' free USB to people you djt know. Well yes there is an easy way to do it. Very very easy. But since I'm not convinced if your intentions I won't say. |

Namaster: First case is still understandable. He might have had plans to meet someone for a business deal that did NOT pan out.
He had a VIABLE excuse for getting stranded.
But the second guy is plain MADNESS! People like that should NEVER be given handouts.
A poor man found himself an EQUALLY poor woman and they bleeped raw until they made a baby whom they can give NOTHING but more poverty.
That's NOT just poverty. That is STUPIDITY! And WICKEDNESS too.
Having a child when you know you CANNOT take of a child is EVIL!
Both of them WILLINGLY signed up to get hitched to their POOR selves. But that child DIDN'T.
Condom is JUST #300. Get it and don't make your IRRESPONSIBILITY the problem of other people.
"I don't like condom" is NOT for people who are suffering from perennial poverty.
It's one thing to be a well-to-do couple who had their child/children BEFORE they fell on hard times.
It's ANOTHER thing for a pauper who moved from his family house to a face-me-i-face-you apartment and still DEFAULTS on rent to IMPREGNATE a fellow pauper.
That's MADNESS!
I HATE people like that. They deserve ZERO sympathy or assistance. What if the second guy had a very good job, so he married and had a child and was catering for them. But a long the way, he lost his job, his wife was sick and he has to spend all his savings on her. Now shes fine, but he's broke and he has to feed them. What if the guy was ok and employee people before but his business ran down. And he had to close the biz and move ahead looking for how to sustain his family? In this life things happen. If you can't be kind enough to help, just move along. Then pray everyday that the thing that would tempt u to give up doesn't come along the way, because the race is not to the swift or smart, it's just the grace of God that helps us. |

Coldie: I am not living my life, am tired of this lifestyle here I get you bro. First of all, don't do an immediate return, you have to break it up in phases for you to properly assimilate back First before making your trip back, plan your accomodation in an area ideal to you. Maybe around family members to ease of the depression. It takes time to get a good standard place so you have to plan for that. After that, you need to decide what you intend doing for business. Or employment? Which every way, you need to plan ahead. Then commence with going to get your things back into the accomodation you've gotten. Staying a while, then going back to close lease or any other contracts you have in the UK, before making a final trip back . concerning how the country is, that's a relative question . Some places in the country is absurd, so e is safe, some is dangerous etc. It all depends on which state, and where in the state you intend staying. Chat me up if you have more questions. Above all, ensure it is what you really really want before taking the leap. |
Travel › Re: My trip to Switzerland (pictures included) by nnamdiosu(m): 10:19am On Dec 22, 2024 |
Gerrard59: I am curious, why do you want to live in those European countries (they have fewer black people/less diverse) since your dad has his businesses and you have a strong passport already?
Your language learning talent is great! To further test this talent, try learning Japanese or Chinese next. You have covered Latin/Roman/Germanic languages. Try East Asian languages.
Regarding the cost of living, obviously, Switzerland is notoriously expensive. It is one of those elite of the elite countries in the world. Very few countries, even developed peers, come close to it. From the immigration system/policies (permanent residency takes a minimum of 12 years for those with African passports), housing, the calibre of jobs, salaries (one of the highest globally), breadth of industries, universities' ranking and currencies. It is a country that is a replica of heaven. If there is heaven on earth, that is Switzerland. Everything is ELITE. For instance, in the breadth of industries: Switzerland dominates in luxury goods, especially watches and jewellery, commodity trading (pays one of the highest salaries in the world with extremely humongous bonuses. Only the oil industry comes close. Tech no reach o. That tells you the nature of the industry. Only the hedge fund and quant trading industries pay higher than the industry. By earnings, I mean salaries and bonuses. Then you have private banking. Although, this is now competitively fought for by its Asian counterparts - Singapore and Hong Kong.
Someone mentioned up there that Hong Kong is expensive, which is true, but only in housing. Singapore, too is also costly, especially in housing and owning a car. However, they benefit from being surrounded by Mainland China and Southeast Asian countries. As a result, food isn't so expensive provided you eat like the locals. Also, salaries aren't too high ACROSS ALL industries because of abundant labour from the Philippines, Indonesia and the like. That is where Switzerland beats them and creates the heaven-like environment such that a cashier at McDonald's or a watch apprentice earns very comfortably by world's standard. Also, this is protected by the tight immigration policies which unlike Hong Kong and Singapore are lenient in certain industries. Hong Kong and Singapore, especially the latter, protect skilled jobs from outsiders. Swizterland protects all. The folks who can easily or "quickly" break into the Swiss labour market are EU citizens or non-EU professionals with many years of cognate and quality experience.
There you have it. Enjoy heaven while on earth! Omo you seem to surely have a lot of understanding of the way the European and Asian system works . You must be a traveller. |
