BKayy: Incase you Nigerians don't know, Simon Ekpa is your nemesis. Unlike Nnamdi Kanu, he is decisive and does what needs to be done. Not emotional like Nnamdi Kanu and unlike IPOB, he believes freedom is taken not given If Simon Ekpa, flaunts his own banner today, majority of Ndigbo will abandon IPOB for it. Even my support will shift to his. In other words, call him the nemesis of Nigeria

By the time the long arm of the law touches him and he wakes up inside DSS cell, he will start begging for human rights and demanding for his right to be remanded in Kuje prison[/s].

On a serious note we need a strong leadership in the east and not allow the region in the hands of charlatans. Igbo governors should step up immediately and fill up this vacuum.
The factional Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, yesterday, urged Chairman of Southeast Governors’ Forum and Governor of Ebonyi State, Chief David Umahi, to step up and become the pillar of strength for Ndigbo, following the absence of an Igbo man at the highest level of government in executive, legislature and judiciary.
The pan-Igbo socio-cultural organisation, in a statement in Abakaliki, signed by Secretary-General of the Chidi Ibeh-led faction, Okechukwu Isiguzoro, noted that Umahi’s impressive performance had redefined governance in Ebonyi State, stating that the state now wears a new look and has become centre of foreign business investments.
He maintained that the Igbo need direction and a new political rallying point and pillar in the absence of the legends, the late Dim Odumegwu-Ojukwu and Dr. Alex Ekwueme, adding that the responsibility falls on Umahi that he concedes to the burden of leadership bestowed on him.
The Igbo body described Umahi as the modern father of Ebonyi predicated on his developmental gains recorded since the assumption of office as the state’s helmsman.
“The transformation in Ebonyi State is unprecedented. And this did not go without some level of leadership, a high level of creative ability, and ingenuity by the governor. In virtually every locality, he knows their problems and what critical infrastructure must be fixed.
“What is the essence? To attract investment, trade and increase economic activities. Umahi resolved to build critical structures, including the shopping mall comprising over 5,000 modern shops, the biggest in Africa.”
PROUDIGBO: Spotlight on the multi-billion naira quarry business in Afikpo, Ebonyi state.
Could this be one of the secrets to the states’ wealth!? I’d love to see the figures for what the they make, by way of IGR, from this business! I hope it’s being regulated properly, and that the state gov’t and Afikpo LG aren’t being cheated and shortchanged!
