PoliticsRe: Outrageous Display Of Material Wealth Encourage Bandits by nobaga: 11:33am On Jul 17
Bandits and politicians are wrestling for the key to the Treasury disguising as fighting for Democracy.

We are only replacing one party of bandits for another. These same parties in different names have been ruling Nigeria since Obasanjo was denied a Third Term on principle.

Two drug dealers and parastatal seller into his pocket are wrestling again.

Poor Nigerians!

I can empathize with you.

This happened to me twice well before the election of olorinuruku. Once in a remote area of Caribou Main; and a border town between Vermont and Quebec.

This was years ago. But if you were desperate to get a professional job, you invest the money you hard had in difficult situations.

These Nigerian copycats get their ideas from what the naive ones among us call "civilized climes".

Congratulations at sixteen. The parents must double their effort to make sure she stays in school until she is matured. Yes, many children mature early but it does not mean they are ready for the rigors of life.

Indeed, in those days some parents make sure their precocious child either repeat a class or get him a special private teacher.

What is the rush?

No matter what you say people will twist it to satisfy their primordial wish.

All he is saying is to create opportunities so that crime cannot replace business activities. Throwing money to a selected few, too much money, only disenfranchised the poor and unconnected.

Turn off the gas, the motive for crime, before fire fighters can put out the flames. State Police has its problem but what happened in Plateau State where the highest Authority ignored the Governor's call will be prevented. Unless of course the Army and Police go rogue. They do that now.

Why is that hard to understand?
SportsRe: Super Eagles Players And Coaching Crew Rush To Meet Ronaldo by nobaga: 3:15pm On Jun 11
My thoughts exactly. When you get to certain stage in soccer or anything, after the competition is over, show grace and embrace one another.

Even when you are star-struck as in tennis, be prepared to defeat your hero.

Coco and Vanessa Williams come to mind.

Yoruba spirit of tolerance and accommodation can never be replicated in any other part of Nigeria or the world.

This is why they say "sophisticated" Yoruba are supposed to do this or that without looking at themselves in the mirror.

It's always what Yoruba can do for them but never the other way around.

Those verse in Iran diplomacy and war remember how Iran ended Jimmy Carter's second term and chest beating Reagan, in order to win, negotiated American hostage for arms.

There is no favorable end to this wat for Republicans before the November election.

I am satisfied that op was not in support of any doctrine. But he cannot justify Monroe doctrine or any gunboat diplomacy as part of American influence in their continent.

Africa and Asia are not part of America, yet their gread has no bound. Regime change for disadvantageous economic gains are their major objectives.

Liberals cover it up with religion and warped justice, conservatives do same with brute force and impunity.

But why are gullible Africans cheering for them
Foreign AffairsRe: Trump Says Venezuela’s Oil Paid For Cost Of Iran War ’25 Times Over’ by nobaga: 2:24pm On May 23
It has never fails to amaze me how humans justify calling enemies terrorists but those who carry out the spoils of war throughout history, their freedom fighters.

Even if the spoil of war in Venezuela or Iran is an exaggeration, how has that changed the neanderthal mentality of the survival of the fitest in the jungle?

Yet, Nigeria is the zoo!

PoliticsThere Is Nothing Wrong With Paying Taxes by nobaga(op): 4:25pm On May 17
It is true that everyone complains about taxes everywhere. But the saying that only death and taxes are certain came from early civilizations, even in Africa.

The fact is Money circulates in every society to create infrastructure, social services for the poor and the weak.

Any society where Money Leaks during this circulation fractures the process. This is why societies jail Tax Dodgers and money launderers.

There is disproportionate amount of money leaking in African countries with impunity.
PoliticsRe: General Ihejirika Dealt With Terrorists But Jonathan Fired Him by nobaga(op): 4:07pm On May 17
Former retired Generals, others are called back to service and others retirement postponed.

Here you have a brave man fighting the scourge of the society, your Ally from Day One, the Northern cabals ruling Nigeria called him to Order!

Hypocrites are fishing out excuses.

Thanks for your trust!

sweerychick:
who told you Jonathan fired Ihejirika? Although I understand where you are coming from, but what happened is that politics played a role in the appointment, Ihejirika being the first Igbo man since 1966 to hold that highest military office, achieved a lot of success in fighting insurgency, but the north east sympathetic to Boko Haram due to their affiliation in Islam cooked up a dangerous propaganda against Jonathan and Ihejirika, they said that Ihejirika as an Igbo man was avenging the 1966 pogroms against the Igbos. A former governor of Adamawa state in 2013 made that assertion, and they hired an Australian lobbyist to tarnish Ihejirika reputation. the momentum grew against Ihejirika and GEJ had no choice to retire him. Now they same propagandist are now paying the price
Parachoko:

PoliticsGeneral Ihejirika Dealt With Terrorists But Jonathan Fired Him by nobaga(op): 3:17pm On May 17
People conveniently developed anesthesia. When the North cried out that General Ihejirika was still fighting Biafra war by killing their people, Jonathan fired him.

The East and the North have always been in political Alliance before and after Independence while the West had remained proudly the leader of Opposition in the Federal, North and East. Fact check.

Akintola pointed this out to no avail. Until and Until Tinubu breaks the jinx.

So can Peter Obi tackle Terrorists better than Jonathan?

We Have No Parties Only Prodigal Politicians Fighting For The Treasury

Africa, for how long! We reap the dysfunctional seeds we sow. Our leaders who are today the fathers and mothers of Nepo-Children swear that their children must enjoy everything they lack or were denied when growing up under disciplined or poor parents. When other members of the communities see the outrageous and conspicuous spending of money their leaders did not earn, they emulate them. Even if not in politics, they die trying to get rich by any means.

Each of the recircled prodigal politicians would do anything to empty the Treasury, promising Salvation for almost 70 years. Instead of the masses fighting their oppressors directly, they waste their energy and useful time falling for ethnic distraction of the three ethnic groups getting Power to become the President. While the voters and the combatants ignore most of the well qualified minorities across the North to South of the country, the hegemon takes charge.

Nigerians have lost count and even number to so many millions and billions Prodigal Politicians and their cronies have looted out of the country. There are so many investigations at home and abroad to recover billions in dollars which were never returned home. If these looted funds are repatriated back to Nigeria, another set of looters are waiting to recoup them into their private pockets. We wonder at what point the disenfranchised people would have enough and revolt!

The American popular documentary series written by Alex Hailey in the 70s showed when a white child asked the father: if you said Africans were too dumb, why would you not allow them to read and write. He answered that education was a double-edged sword. It would cut both ways. South African white leaders including P. W Botha and Ian Smith of Rhodesia predicted that you cannot leave Africans to themselves because they would be self-destructive.

Indeed, nobody asks how people make their money anymore, unlike the days when living above your means exposed some odious means of income. We used to report our fellow students who spend money suspiciously. Even today, a few parents have refused expensive gifts from their children because they do not know his means of income while other parents gleefully accept expensive cars. If you report their children, they would ask you “shey nah your money he steal”?

These people would rather work with or serve under Fulani than free Awolowo or work with Yoruba, not to mention installing Awo as the "Best President Nigeria Never Had - Ojukwu"

Awo was promised that he would be freed from Prison if he formed some alliance with NPN, he refused.

He wrote Ironsi to grant him Release twice. He and Ojukwu refused.

As soon as Gowon released Awo, the same Ojukwu claimed credit!

Foreign AffairsRe: Food Given To U.S Soldiers On Warships Near Iran (Graphic Photos) by nobaga: 10:54am On Apr 17
The only point here is that Iran lost their leaders. Has that changed the regime or their focus?

Those who spent multi billion dollars on defense have lost most in the Middle East leaving them vulnerable to China and Russia.

Where does the trillions defense budget go? Securely in the pockets of contractors and politicians like bandits and terrorists contracts in Nigeria in the pockets of politicians.

Iran spent hundreds of dollars shooting down Iron Doom built with millions and still get through.

Bottom line, some leaders will die for 72 virgins in heaven, others leaders will die in their humogous homes, Rose Royce, Bentley etc.

No matter what, the poor will outlive the rich and greedy always looking for slave until they start eating one another. How many live after hundred years?

Learn from Blacks. They are durable and unrelenting after surving every assault for centuries!
