Please read what I wrote again. To be successful anywhere, you have to work hard. Unless you belong to a privileged class.

The point here is that there is a price to pay to be a super man or woman. Those who failed or perish are unknown.

The notion that there is discrimination everywhere failed to take account of race. Yes, there is discrimination in Africa like everywhere, add race on top of that.

As for bleaching, school them on the "one drop" rule. Bleaching is in response to Black men preference for anything closer to white. So, Black women give it to them.

Zxcvbnmghtr:

Do you know the risk the same oyinbo subject themselves to before becoming successful? grin

The reality is, if you are dark in complexion you will be subjected to some kind of negative discrimination. This applies too, among black Africans and that's why manufacturers of bleaching cream make alot of money.

Please know this TRUTH. There is so much statisfaction in functionality than aesthetics.
Sports / Re: Nigerian Gymnast Girl Face Chilling Racism In Ireland by nobaga: 2:11pm
Everyone is not a superwoman or Oprah. People just want to be successful doing what other successful people that work hard are doing.

Do you know how many people broke their neck trying to be Superman?

Especially so early in life. You want better Oyinbo education, no be so

Zxcvbnmghtr:

You didn't get her point. Her advice is very straight forward. Be of value, build on yourself so much that you command respect from others.

US has warned those who wan listen not to travel to certain areas in Nigeria.

So Nigerians warned about mass shootings, discrimination and border crossing in the US.

Japa United looking for traveltravel thumbed their noises.

If Death Penalty no move us, nah ordinary mass shootings and cross border treatment go discourage us.

Tribalism in Nigeria is worse than Death Penalty, Mass Shootings and Cross Border rejection.

They are been saying it for a while that Obi has no control over these unruly, blood thirty brutes.

UnabashedIPOB:
This M0R0N, Peter Obi, had never made any statement condemning the killings and burning of villages in IMO State by the terrorists in military uniform. Now, when the people retaliated against the terrorists, all of a sudden he found his voice and came out to vomit garbage. You, Mr. Obi, you're a failure and your presidiot ambition died the very day you were born. And you will never smell that A$$ Hole Rock as the Presidiot of Liegeria.

Politics / Re: Gowon Was Right: Our Problem Is How To Spend Money Not Money by nobaga: 12:02pm On Sep 16
Ask yourself what is the population of China, India, Japan, Indonesia etc when they were staving or bombed out?

What resources do they have and how much money did they make?

When Nigeria was making little income from Cocoa, we had Indians, Chinese rail workers and others sending salaries home from Nigeria so that they would not have to sell their children for food.

Fast forward from Cocoa Income that made us rich attracting Africans and others to Oil Income that turned Nigeria into abject poverty.

You are repeating the excuse of politicians about our population is too much to be rich while they launder billions of money out.

Haba, our mutual never do?

ecolime:
Gowon's assertion is wrong.

We have two problems:

1. Nigeria has money problems because we don't make enough in comparison with our huge Population. Simply put; Nigeria is poor.

2. Majority of the money we make is stolen and we don't spend the little remaining wisely.
Politics / Gowon Was Right: Our Problem Is How To Spend Money Not Money by nobaga: 10:39am On Sep 16
When General Gowon said money was not Nigeria's problem but how to spend it. He could have been right if he was referring to money as the last in the Yoruba Values System. Usually, we want to make enough money for basic needs, savings for emergencies, school, retirement or old age. Paying for necessities like food, rent and other monthly bills first. What is left is discretionary income to blow. Nigeria, without discretionary income, blew off its basic needs.

However, Gowon was referring to the avalanche of Oil money that lured the Nigerian Market, into the most liberal market in the world. It was based on the euphoria of foreign income that gave us a false sense of security that we could import any junk we want including pins, pencils, used goods, and garbage from the high seas. Sadly, Nigerians laundered money recklessly outside as if they have discretionary income. By the time Shagari became the President, those who warned them on profligacy were pinpointed as Prophets of Doom.

Do you have to be in the US to develop common sense?

We have turned "you never travel" into a badge of honor. Even our sense of entitlement in South Africa was based on what Nkrumah and other countries contributed.

Despite death penalty, we never stopped. If that is not compulsive malady, tell us what that is.

How many of the people you run to in Europe, America or Asia come to your country to slave, instead they turn you to slave in your own country.

You have this sense of unbelievable entitlement mentality to where you or your grandparents did not sow.

Fix your brain and your village so that you can stop destroying your everywhere the way you destroy your land.

Sell yourself worse than a slave abroad and stop blaming others for your misery. Your Freedom Fighters fought for the Independence in their 20s destroyed by your generation .

Chief, i believe you are in port harcourt
i will make out time with you, we will go to UPTH with a video
and post back on this thread
i promise you, in one day, any day you pick, in less than 1 hour,
you will change your mind

it doesn't matter whether you did antenatal in UPTH
will that take away the rats that climb your body in SCBU ward
and if you complain, they will tell you, you will get used to the rats

my wife slept there for 2 weeks
after 3 days, she will tell me baby today rat climbed my face, baby today rat entered my wrapper and we will laugh about it together

People (including medical professionals) arent inherently bad
that is why i didn't directly accuse any particular person, and thats why i said, when these doctors travel abroad, they act differently
understand my point:
there's no way a doctor will work 72 hours straight without getting edgy, acting rude and emotionless, with no time to waste,

its not the fault of the professionals, its the system in which they are working
Politics / Japa Is Not Your Entitlement Or Human Right Fix Your Village by nobaga: 2:08pm On Sep 13
I have never met anyone anywhere who feels they are so entitled to what others have as Nigerians. Only to JAPA and exhibit the same behavior in foreign lands. They think japa is their Human Right but staying in your village and making it livable is your curse.

It reminds me of that popular story about the man who visited heaven and found it boring. When he visited hell, he found it exciting. So the day he died he went to hell only to find out the day he visited was propaganda day to recruit suckers for punishment.

Africa is heaven. This is why some, actually
a few Europeans, Americans and Asians rush there to make money as long as they can hold their noses. There are Africans, especially Nigerians willing to sell and fry their brains for peanuts so that foreigners can make millions and billions out of them.

How many decent New Yorkers, Londoners, In Taiwan, China or Russia know anything beyond the blocks in their cities or rush out as Africans do?

Except on a mission to explore, baptize, colonize mumus, hypnotize and run laughing to the banks.

Amechi said we stole because you do not stone us!

Stay home and face what you encourage, voted blindly for like the rogue 3 Presidential candidates. JAPA to where your Prodigal parents did not build is not your entitlement.

Wait o, is this not the same Nigeria where Western Region many First in Africa, even in some European countries was built?

How can African Militricians, especially Nigerians without the knowledge of history, Agreement and contract suddenly become such Experts for Power? Those ignorant of how the French imperialists crippled Haiti for daring Independence, cannot understand the devastating effects of the French Agreement with West African French Speaking countries. Though the British do not spell out their Agreement with English Speaking African countries with such impunity, the opium effects are no less disadvantageous. Ironically, it was the far Right Italian before she became Prime Minister that challenged France on this. The more they sugarcoat their inhumanity to man, the more they exposed their entrenched racist bias.

Gen Abacha had the seasoned Anthony Ani as Minister of Finance and still fleeced Nigeria. Look, appointing a seasoned economist as figure head Prime Minister doesn't stop Junta from looting. The appointment is PR. Nobody argues with a man holding an AK47.

Soldiers are not trained to govern any country. It is an aberration. Coup plotters don't come with any roadmap to develop the country. Things are done according to whims and caprices of the junta leader. They are accountable to nobody. Besides, coup plotting is a high risk venture and looting the country is usually the dividend.

Soldiers are trained to kill enemies of the country. They give orders and orders are obeyed strictly in line with some rigid hierarchical structure.
Politics / Re: Nigerians Laundered More Forex To Colonialists Than Colonists by nobaga: 1:14pm On Aug 09
The inverse relationship between more foreign incomes and creation of abject poverty in the land of plenty is unprecedented. We mourned the centuries Africa was turned into the Dark Continent while its treasures were looted and Culture debased by the Europeans. Most Africans did not play dead because the Zulu, Ashanti, Ijebu, Oyo, Benin and Opobo fought back. Igbo Landing would rather die by mass suicide than remained slaves abroad.

When most Youths make their first million or less, their question is which foreign country they can move (japa) to. Though the money saved or accumulated can go further at home starting a small business than in any foreign country. Youths have already given up on their country before they make any effort to prosper on their own. It is usually tougher to succeed in a hostile environment. Our Youths are willing to double their determination abroad in futility, but not at home for gradual progress.

Some of the friends we grew up with did most of their schooling abroad. They came back home on summer holidays, the only time they spent with their parents. Hell broke out when one of them told his parents that if they did not bring him home, they would suddenly find him at the Airport. Obviously, he had been complaining that he hated staying with foster mothers in London. He would rather stay home to attend one of the local secondary schools.

Those of us that considered him lucky to have rich parents that could afford such a luxury had to ask him if he was crazy or spoiled. The treatment most of these children got abroad from their foster parents and neighbors were worse than those of stubborn kids parents sent to reform school in Isheri, Lagos. Isheri School near Lagos was enough to instill fear in us if you grew up wayward in those days. So, how could London ever be compared to Isheri?

The best educational system is the one we heavily invested in at home, not the ones abroad we paid through our nose for, so that our children can speak in strange tongues. Good education is the one given in China to Chinese, in Russia to Russians, in America to Americans, in Africa to Africans. This is why world's and Noble Prizes are presented regardless of different languages of citizens for their local achievements, made useful to the world. The cases in point are Acupuncture and Ayurveda in medicine. Inferiority complex kills African traditional medicine (dia!).

Africans, especially Nigerians are still developing and sustaining Europe, America and Asia. We export more coal than Newcascle wants. It is worse than that, Africans bleed one another alive for money in Nigeria to launder out in order to live an imaginary life abroad. We are deeply entrenched in the belief we must bleed most to death at home, to survive outside. Many Youth and their parents have become indifferent to the plight of others in Africa. Unfortunately, we have lost more. Our culture of being our brother’s keeper has been lost with our children enmeshed and glorified in foreign culture locally and abroad.

Twist it anyway you want. Which Yoruba were in position or put in the position to command troops as Diya explained?

Ask Ironsi how powerless he was and what happened to him after Igbo coup, when he left Danjuma in charge of his security.

Only a fool without troops would even try or plan a couple.

When Black Scorpion Adekunle was left in charge of troops what happened?

When Obasanjo was left in charge of troops what happened?

When Captain Iluyomade was left in charge of a few soldiers in Ore, he form rag-tag soldiers from hunters and any volunteers to wipe our battalions of Biafran Army.

Underestimate Yoruba tolerance and accommodation at your own peril.
