it is well o!! |
LOL, VANNI, I did not mean literlly sick, relax o!! It's not my style to wish sickness on anyone. I meant are you out of your mind , but then again I take that back, I am not going to be going back and forth for stating my own opinion over what SOMEONE ELSE typed and over pastor Chris that I know nothing about. LOL, no man can heal me, only God can, He has proven that to me time and again, but thanks for the recommendation. Jesus is Lord oo, Since you are christ like (I'm assuming), relax and stop going around talking or typing at people anyhow, it defeats that purpose, just a suggestion, do what you will with it, |
@ Vannii Are you sick? In fact I think you are. I am in no way critcizing anyone. Or does that look like criticism to you? I am asking a simple question. I am in no way against pastor Chris and I know close to nothing about him so I am not at liberty to talk. All I did was voice my opinion and you are coming at me in that manner. Relax yourself o, it is not that serious!! |
@ AKO You are missing my point!! If a doctor tells me I have cancer (God forbid), and I believe I have been healed, when I go back to the doctor to check, I expect him to tell me I don't have it anymore. So if the woman had cancer, which is not necessarily something that can be "felt", I would expect her to go back to her doctor to verify that it has disappeared. I guess I just don't understand how someone is MADE TO BELIEVE, they are healed. It is well |
@ Gamine Just curious but how was she MADE TO BELIEVE the cancer was gone? Don't people ususally go to a health practitioner to verify first? Jesus is Lord oo!!! |
I'm sorry but this is rubbish!!! No pun intended |
LOL!! This is a joke right? My husband puts me first in all things and vice versa. I am very close to my parents and he is close to his but when we got married, our parents advised us that we are our own family now so after God, I come first to him and he to me. We are all still very close now but each person has their place. When my own kids are getting married, I would never advise them to put me or any family member before their wife or husband, that is a dangerous/damaging mindset to go into marriage with. My two cents, do whatever you want with it!!!! Be blessed |
madamkoko:Their engagement was in the U.S, not a wedding. No comment. I am just happy for them. To each his own opinion. |
A big congrats to the couple. I was there for the ceremony and reception and it was lovely!!! I'm a childhood friend of the bride and I am so excited for her. God has done her well. Haters will always do what they do best, HATE. Love you much Kemi and I am so proud of you and your hubby!! |
I have always wanted a man with the same or higher educational level than I have. Thank God I got him. I would be graduating soon with my masters and my fiance would be done with his PHD soon so no complaints ![]() |
I am talking about among the Yorubas. ![]() |
Does anyone happen to know what the procedures are in a traditional marriage/engagement? please let me know!!!! THANKS |
Please let the iyawo or her sister know somehow. Don't keep your mouth shut. I would definately want to know if I were in her shoes. Yes, it would hurt and be a very painful thing to go through but I would rather be safe than sorry. Nevertheless, in the future, I can bet you that if something goes wrong between the two (I reject that for them), he would open his mouth and say you knew something about it, which would make matters much worse. All in all, let widsom from above be your guide. By the way, when he saw you at the introduction, what was his reaction? |
So I need y'alls opinions, I am getting married in 5 months and I thought the venue was set, in Nigeria!! However, my parents live in the U.S and are so adamant about it being there. Just about all my and my fiance's family and friends are in Nigeria and we were all on the same page about the venue, which is my fiance's family church, but all of a sudden my parents have started making a mountain out of a molehill, saying they would not show up at the wedding and that they still have control over me. They believe weddings are about the parents not the couple, and keep telling me what I want does not matter. What do y'all think? I need to know what the norm is back home cuz I don't live there either, |
Yay for winners!! I've got very close ties there and I am so proud of what God is doing there, to Him, indeed be all the glory, 4Him, I haven't been on here in over a year and just skimming through some of your posts, you really have time o!! ahn ahn, almost typing books upon books up in here, |
Ok so my parents live in England and have not been to Nigeria in soo long, my fiance and I want to get married in Nigeria and we have a church we would like to get married at. But my parents want us to get married in a catholic church, even though they/we are not catholics!! They believe since they attended a catholic church before they left Nigeria and they don't have a home church back home, that's the only option. My fiance and his family will do no such thing. I mean if they were muslims, you won't find me marrying in a mosque (no pun intended) cuz it's not my faith. And they keep saying if this wedding does not happen how they want it, they would have nothing to do with the wedding or with us in general. Besides that, I just feel like they are taking too much control over this wedding, I mean can a girl breathe or som'ing, Is it that deep?? I really thought a wedding was about the couple. Now, I know why a couple of my friends eloped!!!!!! Anyhow, I want your opinions, what is a girl to do ![]() I mean It's my wedding!!!!!! |
lol, so this thread is still going, |
lol, ok o!! |
Guardian, Schmadian!! Come on now, we both know those papers lie half the time, I have heard a million and one stories about some people that I know that were just ridiculous. I just wanted to clear that up sha, cuz it DID NOT HAPPEN and it's just a joke, when I read this, I called her and told her and we just laughed, it's quite hilarious cuz she hearself never even heard it!! Don't believe everything Nigerian newspapers tell you, @ Gamine, I know quite a few people at covenant o!! What year are you? lol, I have not seen the school physically but I should be there over the summer. I have heard great things. Some rules might be a little too much, but the students get an education and get out fast, that beats most universitites over there!! Lol, but you guys should take it easy nowww, ahn ahn, life is good o!! Peace, |
LOL, why the hostility people? Is it that serious? Anyway, I am not fighting with anybody ohh, so please nobody should respond negatively, I just want to clarify that the chancellors daughter was not kicked out of CU for any lesbian acts, infact, she never attended CU, she's a friend of mine and she graduated from college here in the US, peace!! |
