I thought this makurdi is peaceful o shocked

Am even thinking after this pandemic I will just travel there to spend at least 1week..

Right now I don change my mind .
.

If you are Cultist, a Viking or Axeman think twice because once you go and rejoin any of your guys their to cause trouble, then you might be a likely target.

But on the other hand if you are not a Cultist and you wish to stay in any of these areas mentioned above, then you should maintain your neutrality, Cultist don't harm Jew Men, don't get on their way if you know them, avoid unnecessary night paroles.......Be a good church boy and let everyone in your hood know that you are a church boy.

Makurdi is a very sweet place

This Makurdi own is something else.

Once I was in GH Northbank and police came in and dumped a man whose head had been split open in likely cult related clash.

What surprised me most was the seeming 'yeah another one' attitude of the staff. I was later to understand it was the more or less a regular occurrence, hence the nonchalance.

Wadata, Northbank are real hotspots tho it seems to have reduced in recent months

But even the outskirts are not spared. Just few days ago rival gangs between katsina Ala and Ukum had their day with killings and arson. The governor should do something about it.
.

This thing is almost getting out of hand, the Governor came up with the amnesty program for Cultist and others forms of armed bandicts in the state, this program worked for sometime as Makurdi and it's environs was very peaceful for that year, most of the political elites didn't support him because they are the same people that arm these boys and use them against their percived political enemies during the elections.

So my advice is for Governor Samuel Ortom to review the amnesty program.

@Wandetooblack it's possible that they guy is innocent.

That Area I grew up is dominated by Vikings, these are boys we grew up together, just accros the road is another area dominated by the , they all know who belongs which Cult group and all that, they also know they people that are neutral.

There was this night I came home from my work place I was very hungry and the food they prepared at home I didn't like it, so there is this Mai Shai(Tea seller) at Up Adikpo Street where we used to go and eat indomie and eggs.

I just stepped out of my house I was on my way to this place when I heard voices in low tone following me, I turned back and I saw a group of Boys like 5 in number moving towards me, so I stopped in my tracks, these was around 10:00pm in the night.
So I heard a voice in my back " who you be for these background self" I turned and told him I no be anybody, I dey hungry na Abdullahi place I wan go take Shai.......all the while we were talking these guys just surrounded me, until the other group of about 4 came by and the guy that was leading them said, abeg make una free my elder Brother him no dey game na confirm Jew, oya make we dey March ahead ahead.......na so goose pimples just commot for my body, till today I don't know the young man that said that but I believe it's one of my many Junior students in secondary school back then.

That's how they left me they didn't obtain me, which I believe strong it was what the other guys wanted to do or to confirm me from their head before they move ahead.

Anything could have happened, because they also know me to be very close to one SVC guy in our area, reason being that I have been advising him to come out of this stupidity called Cultism and do something meaningful with his life, so he sees me as a the one he can find succour in anytime he is troubled......so he comes to my house and at times I take him to our church with the hope that God will touch him someday.

Even though I know it's risky.

This happened about about a year ago in dunamis street in makurdi..
I was standing and waiting for a bike next thing i heard gundshots pow everybody scampered including myself next thing see plenty boys gathering at one guy
The guy was called movement, he went for a haircut and according to word on the street he was a Viking.
He went for a haircut in fineboys barbershop in dunamis street very popular saloon if your a student in makurdi. It was retaliation for an aye killed a week before this happened.. i witnessed this happen in broad daylight i fear. Old people around the place were begging for the boy they told the old people that this boy's day has come that he has done too much they shot him and stoned him to death.. from that day i really begin fear makurdi.. i no dey ever pass that street even if they are sharing money there. Not like i am a cultist but the scene i witnessed that day plays in my head everytime. Dunamis street is the most dangerous street around bsu.
.

It's quite long but I remember they said he called the Aye boy and took him to one farm and killed the boy who was a student of Benue State University.

That Dunamis street then used to be a place where big boys and girls in BSU used to stay while we were in BSU then... Rich kids

Na the boy be that oooo Donald Oniha, small boy that his life was just cut at it's prime by Cultists.

Before his death one other boy in that our neighborhood, very quite and easy going went out that night to buy sugar and never came back, a search party was organized they went round but didn't see him only to receive word later that a young was stabbed and killed that night and he died on the spot, when the got there they discovered it was his corpse.

That young man surprised every one of us it was after his death that we started hearing stories that the guy joined the NBM when he got admission to Benue State University.

The killing of this very Ragnah Oniha happened like a week after that boys burial. What a cruel world

Like I suggested earlier on if there is a synergy between universities in Nigeria this Menance on our campuses will reduce drastically, for instance the incidence I gave above of those Cult boys that were bursted in Makurdi during innitiation, the police would done us good by publishing the names of some of those cultists and a list of the the ones who are students published in the various notice board of every department in tertiary institution and security Dept for everybody to see and stay clear of this students.

some of these guys who were bursted during innitiation, those among them who were recognize to be students of BSU or University of Agriculture Makurdi were expelled from school and this guys moved on and immediately some wrote JAMB and proceeded to either Kogi state University or Nassarawa State University, University of Jos or some even came far north to continue their education.

If there is a synergy between this universities some of these bad eggs won't be readmitted into any higher institution to continue their nefarious activities.

My question is that do our law enforcement agencies or Government authorities see Cultism as a crime?

Do we see Cultism as a crime like armed robbery or ritualism, or drug abuse?

I like to call on various Governments and higher institutions of learning to take the gauntlet and proscribe these cult groups in our land.
God Bless you

Some ways of curbing Cultism on our University campuses.

1- There has to be a synergy between our Universities both public and Private, they should have a forum where the dean's of student affairs and Security department meet yearly to review cases of students who are expelled on cult related activities and check the profile of the new intakes in each of the universities.

Why am saying this is that in that 2003 when Kiniki K4 was killed, all the students who were expelled that period from BSU in relation to the cult activities, an almanac was(calenders) were distributed to various universities in the North Central at that time, for instance I remember going to Kogi state University in 2004 to check a friend I saw the poster In the security post at the University gate.

2- There should be a good working relationship between the various school security department and the Nigerian police where the schools should be meeting at least on a quarterly bases with the school authorities to review the security situation on the various campuses and the police will also furnish the school authorities with a list of suspected cultists for the authorities to review and see if some students or prospective students are involved.

Please you can add yours
Thank you

This very picture is that of the Political Science student that was killed on campus by Cultists around the school library, Bro it's so pathetic BSU was not like this ooooo, if you remember around that 2004 that the went to innitiate some guys around one village at that Air Force Base that the villagers went and called Police, that night police bursted them and a host of them were arrested, the school authorities came and were able to identify the students amongst them and they were expelled immediately.

Just last month here a student was even killed in first camp close to the library and a host of others that were killed due to Cultism, it's not enough to ban some weird type of dressings on and hairstyles on campus, the school authorities should go back and review some of Prof David Kers policies that helped him to reduce and curtail the activities of these blood sucking demons in his tenure as the Vice Chancellor of Benue State University.
Enough is Enough.

There was only one or two incidence I could recore but death was not involved, one was inside the campus and the other outside the campus.

The one outside the campus was when some SVC guys came to threat one of their members on doing, news went round that the said guy was sent for an assignment and he went and messed up, the said guy was even in my department, they were outside one gin joint outside second camp around 11:30pm thereabouts when these guys came and shot at him in close range the the shot got him on the leg he stood up ran into some bushes and the guys didn't follow him and so dey drove close to the security gate and shot into the school premises for like 10mins unchallenged and they now drove away, no police patrol even came around.

The second incidence was also in the second camp when some guys came and stabbed someone in that management science park, the guy ran towards the hostel and his assailants didn't bother to pursue, we came and could only trace the blood to a certain place where it stopped and we didn't see the person that was stabbed or the girl that was with him to ask what happened.

Save for this two incidence and some robbery cases outside the campus which to me might not be cult related, BSU and it's environs was very peaceful.

Then to get admission into Benue State University was another thing and to pass through the screening was another thing, then while collecting your papers for screening they will take time to look at you very well, I remember what happened to this young guy then having waited on the line for hours only for him to reach there and was almost screened out, what happened was that he had this hand band on and when he was asked what's that for the young man was reluctant to explain or just remove it and throw away, we had to come to his aid to help him plead but the man said he should go to the security Dept and explain to them the meaning of the hand band, I never saw him again till we graduated I just hope he was able to make it.

Those days the fear of BSU security was the beginning of wisdom, any guy that threatened you then just report him to school security fast and he will have the rest of his days of campus to regret, when you are made to come to the security Dept every morning to sign in and also when you are going you come around to sign out, by the time you are made to sign an undertaking that if anything bad happens to the student you will be held responsible.

BSU and it's environs was cold then like Ice water, then we could walk any time of the day from from first camp to second camp through "Damascus" without the fear of anybody pouncing on you.

Most of the Vice Chancellors that came after Prof David Ker were just after only infrastructure and neglected this very important aspect of check mating Cultism.

Then in school we had this GST in second semester 100 Level ( Philosophy and Logic) the major part of that course we were taught about Cultism, it's origin in Nigeria, types of cult groups in Nigeria, there colours, mode of innitiation, greetings, handshake, slangs(language), names they call God, how to identify a Cultist and what to do if they are troubling you, there was this book we were given during our screening" catch them young" I have forgotten the name of the author.

I also attended BSU and I must confess that this issues of Cultism in that Gyado Villa was not that rampart in BSU and it's environs those days, it's not like there were no cultists there but the issue is that the then Vice Chancellor BSU who took the University to it's enviable heights as the best state University in Nigeria that time was a no nonsense man, after the killing of Kiniki K4 in Benue State University that year so many measures were put in place to check mate cult activities in the University and it's environs known as " Off K" since so many students were also staying off K.

If Benue is this hot as we are reading here, why can't they gather together and chase out the Fulani herdsmen there? Just thinking aloud.

Hahahaha hahahaha hahahaha hahahaha hahahaha hahahaha hahahaha hahahaha.....Don't mind them they are all cowards...

I remember this incidence that year that Benue state was hit very hard by the Fulani herdsmen and the state decided to do a mass burial for the deceased and the federal Government said"No"

The Governor of Benue State went ahead with his plan and the mass burial took place, so this enraged the Hausa's in Benue because according to them there were pockets of reprisals in parts of Makurdi and the Government didn't not respond.....That was how this Hausa guys from wadata to Mai Adikpo down to Ikeja street (Arab Squad zone) came out and started burning Tiv houses and all that.

You need to hear gunshots that day as some of the this Hausa guys were even exchanging gun fire with our security personnel, all the strong men in Wadata and Around that Naka Street Area ran to Adikpo street down to NUJ House since that was the safest Haven for them, if you read in our write up you will see that Area Adikpo street down to NUJ House is a strong hold for the SVC in Makurdi, then Wadata, Naka Street NBM.......The first time in Makurdi history NBM and SVC guys team up to fight.

Na so when these boys move from Ikeja street dey shoot gun come na so egede men and Vikings dey run Helter skelter for their lives oooo, so they now came together oboy wetin you get for inside house, na so one guy for my area run enter house go commot with kitchen knife, another one go bring him papa old cuttlass, some go the bring stick and stones.

Na so we Jew Men fall out go laugh them small come back ooooo, we been just dey ask amongst ourselves say where all the guns and cuttlass wey these boys dey carry chase themselves for street wey Dem no dey allow us rest for area.........

Ankpa ward (Naka street and NUJ belong to the NBM and SVC respectively) hence it is a recurring flashpoint.
Core wadata and New garage areas.
Behind modern market (mostly docile as it is dominated by NBM)
North bank (dominated by SVC). Flashpoint due to the subtle influx of NBM and the attendant desire to lay claim to some territories.
Gyado Villa, Villa Suites and Terwase Agbadu Areas due to presence of BSU and students' off -K hostels. Flashpoint as it is a mix of both gangs.
The level of cult activities in the aforementioned areas greatly surpass that of High Level areas presently so that why it might not come up in mentions.
.

Very accurate analysis.......Naka Street strong hold of NBM, NUJ House SVC
Wadata NBM, New Garage NBM, North Bank hotbed of SVC.

There is a new entrant now Ikeja street when they made a mistake of initiating those hausa boys in that street into Black Skull and NBM those boys just turned their own to something else, even the Core NBM guys don tire for those boys own, they call themselves " Arab Squad" if they are coming, they don't come for hit 5 or 10, most times they come in a group of 30 to 40 youths for just one hit.

We no dey sleep for my area because of those Arab Squad, they are so mean and ruthless.

Na God dey help us for that my area

That boy never agreed for once that he was a Cultist, they attacked that boy around that Area around 2009 butchered him and left him for dead, his revival was like a miracle, but his right hand (wrist) was damaged.

God will bless u for me.
I met one of them like that in 2013 at Utako Abuja,in fact I met the fellow during a hot afternoon at Deogratia plaza opposite Utako market.

What I attracted to me to the guy was the intermittent fever I used to have then,so I decided to try the herbal version and to my greatest surprise the whole gist turned to be about my star and fortunes and why I havent gotten where God has destined for me.

So,I tried to discharge this fellow because I was done buying what I wanted from him, before I could know it,he demanded for my number and that was my greatest undoing.

About three days later, one elderly creak voice called me and started praying for me and because I grew up in the west I could understand a bit of the language being spoken. I listened while he talked extensively about what had held up my star from being released before I could harness my fortune...he started telling me what to do, and among the things that got me shocked was the part where he mentioned sacrifice and a white ran and some white handkerchiefs would be needed to purify me.

That part got me pissed off and i disrepectfully cut of the call and started reasoning about the whole stuff back and forth. Two days later,Baba's boy,the one I met called me with another number and started telling me not to be afraid that Baba meant well for me and that I should do exactly what he says...hmm, na so I tell my wife everything out of fear and but to shorten what happened,I ended up calling back the Baba and his boy one after the other,I shunned them never to call me anymore and that I am not ready for any fetish sacrifice and that I am not competing with my bosses for any position neither was I cage waiting to be uncaged.

With that,I thought I would be left alone, they called me for more than six interrupted months with various numbers, whenever I picked up same voice if not baba,it will be his boys...but I made sure at the hearing of their voice I cut them off instanty. That was how I escape their lure to the underworld.

The previous story is true and the above here is very true. I have met them and I know those guys are agent of the devil. U will always see them in their traditional attires.
.
Hmmmmmm......... Until you encounter this people you won't understand, if I tell you the fear this whole thing brought to my life, hearing that Baba',s cracked voice alone was enough to put fear into anybody.

My Brother I thank God for your life
