Just to add a bit to what SAMIKENNA has already given us. How about IGBO NILE/NINE ECHEZIE/CHEZIE,IGBO NILE/NINE ATUZIE/TUZIE, IGBO NILE/NINE ELOZIE/LOZIE & IGBO NILE/NINE EMEZIE/MEZIE? We can as well Please brothers like SAMIKENNA pointed out we should all discard the "ME" and pick up the "WE" even if ones sugestion is not used, as we all know the most important of all is the positive results also bear in mind that the journey isn't a short distant one, as well as subject to some changes where and when needed. UMU IGBO DALU NU!
PoliticsRe: Eze Ndi Igbo Parliamentary Office - Constitutional Conference in Progress... by noiseless: 11:12am On Jul 02, 2012
Bros, i really don't think we should be worried too much about what name we give to this movement, the most important thing should be the aims and objectives which are nothing other than to reawaken the Igboland and Igbos and reclaim back what those greedy leaders (AGENTS) have denied us and are still ditermined to carry on with their destructive leadership, we are doing this for Igboland first then if any other land has to benefit from it so be it, lets us be calm here and focus on the positive result and not what name we must give it, and you are right that it should be first a Igbo thing and that has been what the 98% of us are saying, but we are just saying it in our own little way or limited way of explaining things for everyone, but the aims and objectives are still that we want to change Igboland first and we have to start from Ndigbo. PLEASE, RESULTS SHOULD BE MORE IMPORTANT TO US AT PRESENT THAN NAMES,AND YES IT'S FOR ALAIGBO THEN IF OTHERS LIKE THEY CAN PARTNER WITH US,WE ARE ALL SAYING THE SAME THING IN DIFFERENT WAYS.
afam4eva: Let me reiterate for the very last time that starting on the wrong foot will be detrimental to the success of this group. Moving forward, we have to be lucid on what this group aims to achieve. is it a group that aims to develop the cultural, political, economic, social et al of Igboland? if it is, then i don't know why choosing an Igbo name for this group should be an issue. So, i don't know why some people are talking about AREWA and ACN. We have no business with them. We have to do things the way that will be beneficial to Igboland, then if any other group want to have anything to do with the group, then they're welcome for a partnership as an IGBO group. But first, let's develop Igboland and leave Akwa Ibom, Cross river or any other region alone. Why is it so hard for some people to understand. Let's not make the mistakes of our father who were more one-Nigeria than everyone else. Our one-Nigerianess should be remote in Igboland.

PoliticsRe: (aljazeera) Inside Story - Will Nigeria Violence Spiral Out Of Control? by noiseless: 8:45pm On Jul 01, 2012
This is why you remain the only ONAKANKANFO MUSIWA, your heart is clean!
musiwa.:
I think the people who have been saying Nigeria should continue, are not good people. when you look at the level of violent in Nigeria.

Look it is not possible to continue with the nation of Nigeria. But some people because of their own selfishness want the country to continue even while they know millions may die. It is an issue of people selfishness , that they are more important than the people.

You cant force people to live together. and I believe any southern christain living in the north should relocate. the govt can not protect them. Now on the issue of some northenener been christain. Majority of Northerners are muslim. the far north for example have more than 95% of its citizen been muslim. And I believe they should break up Nigeria to protect the people.

Even while you have some little muslim in the south. Their form of islam is different from the one in the north. There are different type of Islamic believe. that what I understand. just like you have different churches.. Their believe is different too.

Ethnicity play a major role in this crisis in the north.... which people are not talking about. I am a believer in the break up of nigeria to protect the life of the people. I dont think I want thousand of people I know to die because of adenuga money .. Even Adenuga is not going to leave inheritance for any yoruba person. So why should the yorubas die for Adenuga money that he will leave for his own children.. Adenuga and his children should worry about their inheritance and nobody I believe should risk his family for Adenuga children hesitancy.

I dont think We should risk the life of millions for adenuga or dangote children inheritance.. It is not worth that..

As far as I am concern, it will never be well with anyone who want nigeria to continue after many violent. It shall never be well with that person and his family. It shall not be well with them in the morning, it shall not be well with them in the afternoon. It shall not be well with them in the night. the pain of a suicide bomb shall be their lot .

Well malam jihadism, if you are so foolishly ambitious in hoping that your criminal gangs are going to enjoy the devilish support from the Kenyan public just the way you enjoy it in Nigeria when you murder your "country men/women and children for your sharia agenda, then be prepared to export as many terrorists as you will need including your sultan/emirs, where ofcourse they will all be smoked out and met with what they really deserve cos Kenyans do not do the Nigerian factor. Well lets just say we need something that will not make us look like some sort of monster that could scare our neighbours/friends away, but i still think that even though our Asaba and co brothers may view themselves as easterners, but we should not ignore the fact that they are in the SS so lets look for a suitable name that will apeal to all,it will also show them that we are only seeking a way to better the life of everyone of us and not trying to have all the say on issues, and these areas could be where our fathers didn't work very hard while naively thinking that others would just understand.
Sam_Ikenna: We all love the symbol - elephant. Elephant symbolizes strength, toughness, ruggedness, daring, etc. On the flip side it also demonstrates carefreeness and insensitivity to the grass and other tiny animals around it. It tramples on anything and everything.

The Igbo I know is strong, hardworking, and courageous as well as wise and kind. We need a symbol that has strength in it, hardwork in it, knowledge seeking and God-fearing in it too (God-fearing can equate to kindness and love for our fellow man).

Now look at it this way. Boko Haram uses the symbol - AK47, and preaches violence, destruction, and disregard for education. They're knowledge roll-backers bent on taking their people back to 5th century. If we use elephant, which symbolizes only strength, without adding emphasis on love for education and hardwork that our people are known for, how then are we different from "born to rules" that only talk about power and violence with zero emphasis on personal responsibility and sensitivity to the "minorities" in their zone.

Its my humble opinion that we put together - a pen or book (knowledge), palm tree or any other thing that can best symbolize hardwork, maybe a handshake - It shows our willingness to embrace and work with friends and allies. Also lets add to it a symbol that shows we stand together - we rise and fall as a people, never shall we abandon our own even at the point of complete extermination - we will stand firm and together.

Brothers and sisters, we've always represented as well as shown we're anti-born to rule and the evil it represents. Let us continue to represent that both in our symbols and actions.

Thanks nwanne, your advise is accepted by me!
Sam_Ikenna: Brother, I wasn't yet ready for the convo now (I will fully join in about 2 hours) but let me say that officially excluding our brothers from the inception is not the ideal way to go about it. Even if we think they believe they're easterners at heart we should still make it official in our name. I like what you said about not making this convo a jiffy thing. We're not in a haste so let that be settled in all minds. We will deliberate on the name and other things untill we get an all inclusive name that bears our true intentions - which are: equality, justice, good governance, cohesiveness and oneness of Igbo people, maintaning the relationship and friendship between Igbos and her Eastern brothers, pursuance of peace and alliance with other SS states that were formally in Midwest, pursuance of peace and alliance with states in MB, Readiness to work with SW if need be, unflinching belief in the survival of all ethnic groups in Nigeria no matter how tiny they are, respect for evolution of old ethnic groups and emergence of new ones - any group of persons that say they're now new ethnic group must be respected as equal, belief in resource control - resources belong to those living or existing on the land under which the resources are found, Zero interest in arms race or confrontation as we're peaceful and will always remain so, belief that no ethnic group no matter how strong should ply the route of pushing out another (smaller group) off their ancestral land under any guise, belief in scholarships and education, belief in improvement of old and building of new infrastructures, belief in the supremacy of law of the land, and most importantly, belief in a true One Nigeria or No Nigeria.

This convo is not a platform for any attack on anyone. ndu_chuks is welcome, lets respect his imputs. Ogugua88 is a beloved sister and I'm following her imputs. PointB is a superb organizer, Afam4eva the extraodinaire, OnlyTruth our able leader with unmatchable zeal and wit for maneuvering, politicking, and management of naturally republican brethren - I see you took a page from Ikemba. My other brothers - achi4u, noiseless, beneli, emanuelle, and the list goes on - you're all doing great. Please, please - let nobody attack anyone irrespective of views. Even if someone disparages the entire process including our race, lets remain calm and not respond else we derail and destroy our own thing.

God bless.

ndu_chucks: Friendly Advise:

In civilized societies, you'd first set up committees made up of the best qualified among you, based on their pertinent skills, to come up with proposals, which would then be discussed among the whole group.

You people may want to consider doing that. Throwing issues out on the table without focus will only invite chaos. Its time we come out of the bush and do things right.

One is not surprised at this method considering the fact that Onlytruth and PointB are the leaders of this group - these are the worst of you NLers. Where are the likes of Odumchi, violent, Eziachi, Dede1 and other qualified people? PointB is a known dullard on the forum. Dalu o.

I got your concerns but we can't shy away from our heritage, you see with the proper equipment/tools/support from the government the agricultural sector can be very atractive cos of it's value for labour, we really need to do something about our people farming from season to season with nothing to show for it due to working with only bare hand. And any society that looks down on farmers, is a blinded society, infact very soon Africa will be host to many supermarkets who will be going into contracts with farmers to be supplying them with stuffs, we really need to see farming as the backbone of our society.
achi4u: @noiseless.

Your on point brother but are 'we'sure people will not see us as backward people or co_operative society thereby presenting us on a negative side hence farmer were being relegated to the background as poor or are poor?.No.WE are not poor.

Thats my take on that___hope others will still come-up with better option or ideals.

In my opinion i would like not to jump into conlussion about who would like to be part of it or not, so let it be for all Igbo no limit, since our Igbo brothers in Anioma know who is who in their cunner, so they know better how to relate to the whole of Anioma the task will be much easier for them to take on, same goes to Rivers state Egbema and others since all the intentions here are all about we the common people suffering in the hands of the AGENTS among us being used by the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT to deny us our rghts to hold them accountable and also monitor how we are being governed and have a say in things that concern our welbeing. Although you must not expect everyone to support or encourage this from start but trust me,if the movement becomes very well structured and productive then more people/communities will join, but lets not tell off those who can't make up their mind yet to join as they can still make it in the future when results speaks for the movement.
afam4eva: I'm against including any non-Igbo group. But authentic Igbos across board should be brought on board. My use of the word "aunthentic" is to highlight the fact that there are some Igboid groups that are still battling with their Igboness. We should focus on the SE Igbos, Anioma Igbos(especially Asaba and it's environs).

Even as we are fighting hard to prevent these bunch of liars from forcing their lives full of lies down our throats, some evil minded STORY TELLERS are busy writing crap which they will shamelessly display as proof in years to come, how it was them who stood and vocally condenmed the activities of boko haram due to their political "SAVVYNESS & SOPHISTICATION". They might even claim to have a video tape where they were beating the sultan, emirs and boko haram members ordering them to behave themselves, and also anounced their witdrawal of political support to the northern muslims because of their (northern muslims" secret and open support of boko haram, but unfortunately "the video tape" was stolen, haa haa! Nomatter how hard you fight to distort or kill the truth, you need to do yourselves some favour and realise that after so many years of your lives full with lies and deceits towards us, and we are still alive and majority of you are not actually better off, then you must be insane thinking dishing out your rhetric full of deceits equals end of logic.

Mr. boko haram advocate, perhaps here is the opportunity for yourselves to enlighten us why a son of a billionaire like ABUDUL MUTALAB who lived in a london 3 million pound home, would still wear a bomb in his underwear to blow up a passenger plane on a christmas day. The problem with you lot is that you so much detest the truth, it doesn't matter to you where it comes from. Mr. Lacasa, is ABUDUL MUTALAB SUFFERING FROM POVERTY? Thank you.
lacasa: Well, david mark has given his opinion on the matter anϑ i wld say he has chosen τ̅o take the easy way, instead of the real hard truth abt boko-haram.

if he thinks bokoharam is purely a religious issue then, i think our senate president is not being true τ̅o himself anϑ Nigerians as a whole.

what fuels violence the fastest in any society is first of all "Poverty anϑ Unemployment". Without this, i doubt even if there were radical preachers anϑ financial sponsors for committing suicide bombings, it wldnt be †ђªt easy to find the people τ̅o carry these bombs anϑ commit suicide bombimgs.

if tђere wasn't an alarming rate of poverty anϑ unemployment in Nigeria; the north in this case, i dnt think religious fanatists wld be our problem.

Let's not forget, "an idle mind they say is the devil's workshop".

The Senate president is from Benue state which falls under the Northern region (former middle-belt) anϑ part anϑ parcel of the Northern Political Elites.

What i can deduce from his statement is †ђªt if he goes with the reality †ђªt the level of poverty anϑ worrying levels of unemployment in the region is as a failure of good leadership from the same people such as himself who ave been at the top echelon of power, during the IBB regime where he was a governor to a minister of communication anϑ now presently the Senate President.

He has used this stance τ̅o shy away from the fact that if he goes with the fUll "reality" of the situation, it wld be a confession of incompetence anϑ bad leadership on his part as a top northern leader anϑ elite for well over 20 years.

Though, i agree †ђªt the religious leaders need τ̅o be checkmatd on the kind of teachings anϑ radical views †ђªt can give rise τ̅o fanatism in both Islam anϑ Christianity, but the most important anϑ urgent problem is the problem of "Poverty anϑ Education".

i just don't see Ђδω an educated man †ђªt has something doing striving τ̅o develop himself anϑ upgrade hos social standing anϑ †ђªt of his family as we all aspire τ̅o, will fall victim τ̅o radical teachings and go with a bomb τ̅o waste his life anϑ others after enduring the hassles of educating anϑ empowering himself for years, be him a muslim or a xtian.

I for one can't fathom Ђδω.
