Go back in and have a meal... buy a card, write your name and your number and maybe a lil note and leave her a £20 tip inside the card (state that you wanted to buy her a drink).it's thoughtful and sexy and less awkward.
Already catching a flight ooo grin

I truelly understand you mate, this same issue has cost myself a derail in the things of the scripture: the piece missing in the life of man that makes it all complete.

The mistake most people make when they engage in the matters of the spiritual when looking from the angle of the bible is looking with the physical eye. They're not ready to accept the concept of the spiritual, they're accustomed to holding on right, too tight to let go. And by so doing they forget that in the matters of the spiritual, when it comes to the thinhs of the Lord, letting yourself go and delve further into it is the only way to find that peace we all soley seek.

The women folds are a disease that devours the heart, one that can't be entirely cured. It is left for man to choose how to leave his life. Though they're a necessity, is it worthy to let them rule your life, so much so that you lose sight of the true happiness that comes from the abolition of oneself to be approved to pertake in the peace and wholeness from the spiritual
Men, I am so soaking up all this advice.

Obviously, we should enjoy our lives and leave our marks, but as you said, we should be able to let go so we can partake in peace that comes from the spiritual. Letting go of addictions is soo hard though, but with it comes peace, like choosing to study instead of procrastinating and later experiencing the joy that comes from acing your test.

Thanks to all you guys for contributions on this thread. It's always nice to be steered straight after one has completely veered off track.

This is true. Sometimes I look to the sky with a question on my lips, is this all there is to life? No fun without heart ache, to live to die, to strife to be something, which is eventually nothing at the end. Noffing is everlasting and tangible in ones heart. Even the lust come and go, friendship, love, praises, archievements. Nothing last forever. Even the joy we so dearly yearned for is a little taste at the end of the day. Nothingness like freeman has said is all we have. I call mine solitude, the moment when I'm in the mix of all but in the mix of non. Is like one who has everything and yet nothing. All alone with nothing to hold unto.

Just like you I have to admit that back then when the Bible were my friend I hardly fall into this starless night, where all I have to keep me company is my thoughts and lonliness
The transient nature of life is really scary if based on shaky foundation.

I still remember my favourite lyrics from Casting Crowns:

"I am a flower quickly fading,

Here today and gone tomorrow,

A wave tossed in the ocean,

A vapor in the wind"

I feel you on the bible talk though, but you and I know how hard it is men, what with girls everywhere, lol. Still, it's sober reflections such as these that make us remember what the ultimate goal should be and hopefully dust off those bibles, hehe grin

You speak in didactic words Mate...
Religion has been substituted for manly interpretations for proprietor gain and fleshy things hence most people seek refuge in Atheism... My concept of Being and Nothingness is as a result of my personal cosmological sojourn into various spheres....
It precedes normal daily routine... GOD exist, We Just see it differently. But GOD mere existence is not enough for meaningfulness of man's existence.
True words, religion has passed through a lot of interpretations. It's just like passing a message to a friend via a whisper and that friend passes on the message to the next person and the next person to the next person and so on. By the time that message(e.g "who am I"wink gets to the 1,000,000 person via the same means of a whisper, it may have changed to "who are we". So one must test the message for meaning and discard it, if it has truly become meaningless and completely inapplicable.

So also with religion, one must "examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good."

Dude, truth is, you can define meaning to life in secular terms, like goals for 10 years, 20 years... but at some point, I bet that in itself, would become meaningless to you as mans appetite is insatiable.

I have experienced God first hand, that's why you may perceive my writing as didactic.

I can only hope you find a deeper meaning to life as well, cause if not, all we are left with is chasing shadows. Goodluck!

Hmmm... Deep one there...
I see nothing in human existence. It's like the tale of a cockroache who is in a basin and struggling fruitlessly to climb out. Man existence is like running in one vicious circle of aimlessness.
We try to give it purpose with Religion, happiness, material beauty and the rest, but at the end, it amounts to Void and Nothingness.
Guess that's why one must strive to leave their mark, like the tale of the 3 talents (reference to religion again), instead of giving excess leeway to those thoughts of emptiness that fester to linger and become monstrous, devouring your talents.

However, leaving your mark without that something "extra" is akin to the cockroach stuck in the basin which you so aptly described, or the hamster running fervently to nowhere on the wheel.

Honestly, I find only religion answers questions of human existence for me though, without which, I'd truly be in complete agreement with your take on the lack of meaning to this life.

When some doubt my God, I point to one of the strongest emotions in human existence; Love! With it, you can raise the spirits of even the most depressed soul. The existence of that emotion gives credence to my belief in one, a supreme being, that radiates and promotes such emotion.

Please no one should mock me, calling me a saint! I'm far far from it, but I know what the ultimate goal is, which I mostly fall short of in forms of empty sexual relationships, anger and so on... Still I find that the straight and narrow path, though very very tough to stay on, is the surest path to fulfillment in everything this life has to offer.

Drop a note with your number and smile while giving her, she will ring after work or go on and tell her to ring when off, you don't need to write that just use gesture
lol, dude it's like you were in my head.

After my first order, I actually wrote my number down on my train ticket and went back. That's when I had the awkward conversation moment with her cause of a lot of people trying to order.

As I said though, my sis went back and broke the ice without telling me, so I went back and closed the deal. Happy camper now cheesy

Alot..

What is the essence of life?

Life Seems like nothingness to me
I actually get that feeling once in a while bro.

First I thought maybe seek refuge in girls, but then after "knacking", I'd still feel like that once in a while and I'm actually addicted somewhat now to girls angry

Then I thought maybe money. Well truth is, money is always good.

I just look at my dad sometimes and see that he is now an old guy sad Just makes me wonder, like you live for a while, grow old and die.

Anywho, might sound cliche, but I guess only God can give meaning to life in all its forms, like a good wife, good friends, money... but it's soooo hard to remain faithful to him when you actually make up your mind to go that route.

Chatting up girls at a club, no problem!

Chatting up girls at a store, no problem!

...

...but how in the hell does a guy chat up the cashier successfully huh

There's this hot black british cashier at nandos that I've been trying to chat up for like 3 days in a row now.

Every time I try to make my move, we are surrounded by a bunch of customers. Like today, after ordering, I went back to her and was like "Hey, I'd like to ask you a question", but before you could say Jack, we were surrounded by like 10 customers. I ain't gon lie, I didn't wanna be rejected at nandos men, in front of people peacefully trying to order food, no way!!!

So she was like "what?" and I quick switched it up to like, "I'd like to get the specials for the day", even though the menu was clear for all to see, sigh undecided

Anybody have big enough cojones to pull this off? Let me know ur game cry

Kudos to all the DIY team and the pros in the house. Stumbling on this thread late but i had to go through from pg 1 - 99, indeed an interesting workbook. I've got a week installation made up of 6 x 200watts solar panel (all connected in parallel) , Morningstar MPPT 60, 2 x 12v 200Ah (connected in series) to a 1.5kva Kevin Inverter, i need advice on the following observations from logged data from CC;

1. Maximum Instantaneous output solar power (input to CC) not exceeded 720watts

2. Output power from CC (to battery) always lower than input power to CC (from array)

3. At near peak Array current it's always greater than battery current

4. When CC transit to night i observe a -ve current flow

5. Is my battery depletion normal in the night mode for a 250wh load for approx 5hrs.

Find attached yesterday's logged data for reference.

Your erudite suggestion/advice/comment by all would b much appreciated.
Please where did you get your panels from and how much did they cost?

If it checks out, I'd like to get two delivered to Lagos, thank you.

Thanks, I'm not in Lagos now. Will holla when I get back.

I got a quote for 20K installation, dont know if that is good or bad.

Right now, I have a Tracer MPPT charge controller and remote monitoring meter. I cancelled my order of panels, cause I believe I can get cheaper panels, but basically for installation, it'll be two panels only.

So that's it! Just need them mounted on either a flat roof or slanted (still deciding) and wired to a breaker and my charge controller.

I already have an inverter and battery system.
