On Wednesday, 12 June 2019, Nigerians will roll out the drums to mark Democracy Day, declared by President Muhammadu Buhari. To emphasise its importance in the political history of the country, the Federal Government made the day to take the shine off 29 May, the hand-over date which, this year, was marked low-key. On 11 June 1994, MKO Abiola declared himself the democratically elected president of Nigeria in the Epetedo area of Lagos. It was a day to the first anniversary of “June 12, 1993,” when Abiola, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate, won the country’s presidential elections with a majority of 58.36% of the total votes cast. With that, he clinched 20 out of 30 states against the candidate of the National Republican Convention (NRC), Bashir Tofa. Notwithstanding that the election was widely considered by national and international observers as the nation’s freest and fairest, Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida, Nigeria’s military president, decided to throw spanner in the works. He annulled the election. It was a move that drove political activists, critical media, human rights lawyers, progressive students into the trenches. The National Democratic Coalition (NADECO) was one of the outcomes. Meanwhile, a year after the annulment and the installation of an interim government headed by Chief Ernest Shonekan, General Sani Abacha sent the government packing at gun point though it was widely believed that Shonekan resigned. It was at this point when “interim” ought to have yielded to a substantive democratic government headed by Abiola that Abacha came into the picture. The SDP candidate would have none of that! He drew a line in the sand. Abiola, therefore, declared himself the president of Nigeria in the Epetedo area of Lagos on 11 June 1994. Abacha, the Adolf Hitler of that period, in gestapo style, deployed 200 police vehicles to arrest and detain Abiola. He slammed treason charges on him. For Abiola, it was a journey of no return. He died in detention on 7 July, 1998, after spending four years in the slammer. READ HIS SPEECH BELOW: People of Nigeria, exactly one year ago, you turned out in your millions to vote for me, Chief M.K.O. Abiola, as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. But politicians in uniform, who call themselves soldiers but are more devious than any civilian would want to be, deprived you of your God-given right to be ruled by the President you had yourselves elected. These soldier-politicians introduced into our body politic, a concept hitherto unknown to our political lexicography, something strangely called the ‘annulment’ of an election perceived by all to have been the fairest, cleanest and most peaceful ever held in our nation. Since that abominable act of naked political armed robbery occurred, I have been constantly urged by people of goodwill, both in Nigeria and abroad, to put the matter back into the people’s hands and get them to actualise the mandate they gave me at the polls. But mindful of the need to ensure that peace continues to reign in our fragile federation, I have so far tried to pursue sweet reason and negotiation. My hope has always been to arouse whatever remnants of patriotism are left in the hearts of these thieves of your mandate, and to persuade them that they should not allow their personal desire to rule to usher our beloved country into an era of political instability and economic ruin. All I have sought to do, in seeking dialogue with them, has been to try and get them to realise that only real democracy can move our nation forward towards progress, and earn her the respect she deserves from the international community. However, although this peaceful approach has exposed me to severe censure by some who have mistaken it for weakness on my part, those with whom I have sought to dialogue have remained like stones, neither stirred to show loyalty to the collective decision of the people of their own country, nor to observe Allah’s injunction that they should exhibit justice and fair-play in all their dealings with their fellow men. Appeals to their honour as officers and gentlemen of the gallant Nigerian Armed Forces, have fallen on deaf ears. Instead, they have resorted to the tactics of divide and rule, bribery and political perfidy, misinformation and (vile) propaganda. They arrest everyone who disagrees with them. Even the 71-year old hero of our nation, Chief Anthony Enahoro, was not spared. How much longer can we tolerate all this? People of Nigeria, you are all witnesses that I have tried to climb the highest mountain, cross the deepest river and walk the longest mile, in order to get these men to obey the will of our people. There is no humiliation I have not endured, no snare that has not been put in my path, no ‘setup’ that has not been designed for me in my endeavour to use the path of peace to enforce the mandate that you bestowed on me one year ago. It has been a long night. But the dawn is here. Today, people of Nigeria, I join you all in saying, “Enough is Enough! We have endured 24 years of military rule in our 34 years of independence. Military rule has led to our nation fighting a civil war with itself. Military rule has destabilised our nation today as not before in its history. Military rule has impoverished our people and introduced a dreadful trade in drugs which has made our country’s name an anathema in many parts of the world. Even soccer fans going to watch the Green Eagles display in America are being made to suffer there needlessly because Nigeria’s name is linked with credit card and fraud and ‘419.’ Politically, military rule has torn to shreds the prestige due to our country because of its size and population. The permanent seat at the United Nations Security Council that should be rightfully ours, is all but lost. For who will vote for Nigeria to get the seat if Nigerian military rulers do not respect the votes of their own people? Enough of military rule. We are sickened to see people who have shown little or no personal achievement, either in building up private businesses, or making success of any tangible thing, being placed in charge of the management of our nation’s economy, by rulers who are not accountable to anyone. Enough of square pegs in round holes. We are tired of the military’s repetitive tendency to experiment with our economy: Today, they say “no controls.” Tomorrow; they say “Full controls”. The day after, they say “Fine tuning”. The next day, they say “Devaluation.” A few days later, they say “Revalue the same naira upwards again Abi?” All we can see are the consequences of this permanent game of military “about turns;” high inflation, a huge budget deficit and an enormous foreign debt repayment burden, dying industries, high unemployment and a demoralised populace. Our youths, in particular, can see no hope on the horizon, and many can only dream of escaping from our shores to join the brain drain. Is this the Nigeria we want? We are plagued also by periodic balance of payments crises, which have led to a perennial shortage of essential drugs, that has turned our hospitals and clinics into mortuaries. A scarcity of books and equipment has rendered our schools into desolate deserts of ignorance. Our factories are crying for machinery, spare parts and raw materials. But each day that passes, instead of these economic diseases being cured, they are rather strengthened as an irrational allocation of foreign exchange based on favouritism and corruption becomes the order of the day. Enough is enough of economic mismanagement! People of Nigeria, during the election campaign last year, I presented you with a programme entitled “HOPE ’93.” This programme was aimed precisely at solving these economic (problems) that have demoralised us all. I toured every part of Nigeria to present this programme to you the electorate. I was questioned on it at public rallies and press conferences and I had the privilege of incorporating into it much of the feedback that I obtained from the people. Because you knew I would not only listen to you but deliver superb results from the programme, you voted for me in your millions and gave me an overwhelming majority over my opponent. To be precise, you gave me 58.4 per cent of the popular vote and a majority in 20 out of 30 states plus the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. Not only that, you also enabled me to fulfil the constitutional requirement that the winner should obtain one-third of the votes in two-thirds of the states. I am sure that when you cast an eye on the moribund state of Nigeria today, you ask yourselves: ‘What have we done to deserve this, when we have a president-elect who can lead a government that can change things for the better? Our patience has come to an end.’ As of now, from this moment, a new Government of National Unity is in power throughout the length and breadth of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, led by me, Bashorun M.K.O. Abiola, as President and Commander-in-Chief. The National Assembly is hereby reconvened. All dismissed governors are reinstated. The State Assemblies are reconstituted, as are all local government councils. I urge them to adopt a bi-partisan approach to all the issues that come before them. At the national level, a bi-partisan approach will be our guiding principle. I call upon the usurper, General Sani Abacha, to announce his resignation forthwith, together with the rest of his illegal ruling council. We are prepared to enter into negotiations with them to work out the mechanics for a smooth transfer of power. I pledge that if they hand over quietly, they will be retired with all their entitlements, and their positions will be accorded all the respect due to them. For our objective is neither recrimination nor witch-hunting, but an enforcement of the will of the Nigerian people, as expressed in free elections conducted by the duly constituted authority of the time. I hereby invoke the mandate bestowed upon me by my victory in the said election, to call on all members of the Armed Forces and the Police, the Civil and Public Services throughout the Federal Republic of Nigeria, to obey only the Government of National Unity that is headed by me, your only elected President. My Government of National Unity is the only legitimate, constituted authority in the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as of now. People of Nigeria, these are challenging times in the history of our continent, Africa, and we in Nigeria must not allow ourselves to be left behind. Our struggle is the same as that waged by the people of South Africa, which has been successfully concluded, with the inauguration of Mr. Nelson Mandela as the first African President of that country. Nelson Mandela fought to replace MINORITY rule with MAJORITY rule. We in Nigeria are also fighting to replace MINORITY rule, for we are ruled by only a tiny section of our armed forces. Like the South Africans, we want MAJORITY rule today, that is rule only by those chosen by all the people of Nigeria as a whole in free and fair elections. The only difference between South Africa and Nigeria is that those who imposed minority rule on the majority rule whether it is by black or white, remains minority rule, and must be booted out. I call on you, heroic people of Nigeria, to emulate the actions of your brothers and sisters in South Africa and stand up as one person to throw away the yoke of minority rule for ever. The antics of every minority that oppresses the majority are always the same. They will try to intimidate you with threats of police action. But do not let us fear arrest. In South Africa, so many people were arrested, during the campaign against the Pass Laws, for instance, that the jails could not hold all of them. Today, apartheid is gone forever. So, let it be with Nigeria. Let us say goodbye forever to minority rule by the military. They talk of treason. But haven’t they heard of the Rivonia treason trial in South Africa? Did those treason trials halt the march of history? People of Nigeria, our time is now. You are the repository of power in the land. No one can give you power. It is yours. Take it! From this day, show to the world that anyone who takes the people of Nigeria for fools is deceiving himself and will have the people to answer to. God bless you all. Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Long live the Government of National Unity. |

Morning fellow Nigerians, I am first a Nigerian anytime any day. I read what Nnamdi kanu said in his so called world broadcast and a wept for most of these ibo youths trolling behind him. I CAN ONLY TAKE THAT DUDE SERIOUS IF ONLY HE CAN SNEAK INTO NIGERIA NEXT WEEK AND BE IN THE FOREFRONT OF EVERY DRAMA, WITH HIS AK47 FACING THE ARMY IN ABUJA, AND NOT IN THE EASTERN NIGERIA, WITH HIS "HELL" IN HIS POCKET. THEN I WILL FOLLOW HIM, BUT NOT ON SAME GROUND WITH HIM, BUT ON THE TV AND ON THE INTERNET. LET HIM NNAMDI KANU AND ALL HIS FOLLOWERS BE THE BRAVE AND DIE IN BATTLE FRONT, WHILE WE THE COWARDS STAY ASIDE AND LIVE TO TELL THEIR BRAVERY STORIES. JUST LIKE OJUKWU "A COWARD" WROTE THE STORY OF BIAFRA WHILE THE REAL HEROS OF BIAFRA GETS SLAUTHERED IN BATTLE FIELD. HE SHOULD REMOVE THAT STUPID JEWISH REGALIA AND COME DOWN TO NIGERIA AND BE A MAN. IF THE PAPA BORN AM WELL, MAKE HIM SHOW FOR NAIJA NAA. That guy is the most annoying scam artist I have ever seen. He said he will bring hell this time around. It was his stupid types (massob) that made the eatern part to be one of the under populated areas because they threatened people to boycott the last census some people listened and stayed back in their houses drinking beers that day. Now this nonentity is calling on same region not to vote. And none of our traditional rulers is even speaking up to shut that nonentity up. Please.he should only call on the IPOB MEMBERS NOT TO VOTE and not the ibos. He is their leader and should lead them the way he wants. If we ever see any ipob group raise its ugly head, that person will n in soup at my area. I have my PVC and a youth leader in my village. I will vote for maybe APC, PDP or any other party I deemed it fit to vote. Nobodies his. My colleagues are free to vote for any individual or party they feel will be good for them. That's what I always tell them. That guy is yet to account for the million of dollars made from donations on his radio biafra website, and he wants to come and he more money. If only all those shouting BUHARI this and BUHARI that can channel their angers to their various governors and attack them with all they have got, them the eastern governors can be forced to render services with the several billions given to them by BUHARI. |
You will be surprised to hear that it cost around $100 or more to get one of that |
A Questionable Acquisition: How Erastus Akingbola lost Intercontinental Bank to Bukola Saraki Sanusi Lamido Sanusi and Aig Imokhuede- (King’s College Mafia.) Part One Contrary to his public image of a no-nonsense and anti-special interest Governor of the Central Bank, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi’s complicity in the questionable sale of Intercontinental Bank to Access bank and the God-Father role of Dr, Bukola Saraki showed the true Sanusi Lamido Sanusi. Oluwaseyi Oduyela reports, how the former Governor of Central Bank- Sanusi Lamido and Dr, Bukola Saraki masterminded the biggest bank fraud in Nigeria’s Banking Industry history. In 2009 when Mr. Chukwuma Soludo’s appointment was due for renewal as the Governor of Central Bank, late President Yar’adua refused and instead, appointed Sanusi Lamido as Soludo’s successor. So in June 2009, Sanusi Lamido became the Governor of Central Bank. Barely two weeks in office, and in an unusual move, Lamido dispatched Central Bank of Nigeria examiners to five banks- AfriBank, FinBank, Intercontinental Bank, Oceanic Bank and Union Bank. A CBN source disclosed to Africa Inquirer that the inclusion of Intercontinental Bank was a surprise because the CBN just concluded a comprehensive examination of the bank and gave it a clean bill. In a surprise twist of event, CBN examiners changed their positive report on Intercontinental Bank to “non-performing.” Our source at the CBN disclosed that the favorable report presented to Malam Lamido was rejected, hence the re-classification of the report from “performing to non-performing.” As at this time, Intercontinental Bank was the biggest and the richest bank with assets worth N1.7 Trillion. Our investigations revealed that late Yar’Adua did not just refuse to renew Soludo’s appointment; but was under pressure of the then Kwara State governor, now senate president, Bukola Saraki.. It was “Saraki who pressed for the replacement of Soludo with Lamido,” our source disclosed. Why would Saraki want Lamido? What is Saraki’s interest in Lamido and what connects the two men? Africa Inquirer diggings reveal that Malam Lamido and Bukola Saraki have been childhood friends. The two went to same High School, King’s College Lagos with their mutual lawyers, Kola Awodein and Aig Imokhuede. Not sure Aig ever practiced as a lawyer…. While Lamido graduated in 1977, Bukola Saraki left King’s College in 1978. Besides being schoolmates, Saraki and Lamido are Akingbola’s mutual enemies. Before the emergence of Sanusi Lamido as the Governor of CBN, Dr. Bukola Saraki had taken a loan from Intercontinental Bank to the tune of N11.965Billion. Our investigations revealed that through Joy Petroleum, (incomplete name) as a parent company, Saraki used four other companies namely: Skyview Properties Ltd borrowed N2.092b, Limkers Ltd borrowed N3.618b, Dice Trade Ltd borrowed N1.892b, Joy Petroleum N4.363b and Dr. Bukola Saraki was portrayed by the bank documents as the prime promoter of all the companies. Under Erastus Akingbola, Saraki secured the 11.965 Billion Naira loan with four houses in Ikoyi and four in Abuja. 19 Ruxton Road, 15A Macdonald Road, and 17A Macdonald Road all in Ikoyi Lagos, and Plot 2481 Cadastral Zone A06, Maitama in Abuja. As soon as Lamido became the CBN governor, and with the doctored report of ‘non-performance” of Intercontinental Bank, he fired the CEOs of the five banks, including Akingbola and appointed acting Managing Directors. Mr. Lai Mahmoud Alabi, a former staff of Bukola Saraki as the Acting MD of Intercontinental Bank. Alabi served as chairman of Songa Farms and several development funds in Kwara State. Sanusi also appointed Gbenga Alade a former staff of Societe Generale Bank as the Executive Director, Risk Management. Lai Alabi’s first task as the new head of Intercontinental Bank was to summon the board of directors to write off N8.115 Billion out of the N11 Billion owed by Saraki and surprisingly, Lamido’s CBN classified it as “good’ and “performing.” This was against the CBN examination report of May 2010 that faulted the massive loan forgiveness, calling it “cash gift.” The examiners also questioned the return of collaterals to Saraki who is believed to have “what it takes to pay the indebtedness even without any waiver.” The report also pointed out that the N500M share offered to Limkers Limited predated the application for the loan. Curiously, before Lamido’s takeover of Intercontinental bank, the bank’s inter-bank takings was N73 Billion, there was no record of the bank’s indebtedness to the CBN but by the time the bank was sold, it was owing the CBN N100 Billion and other banks N300 Billion. Contrary to Lamido’s claim that he injected N100 Billion to revive Intercontinental bank, the bank’s balance sheet as the time of takeover was N 1.6 Trillion. The bank had 330 branches, two foreign subsidiaries, 12,000 employees and paid-up capital of N230 Billion. Rat Swallows Elephant If the takeover of Intercontinental bank and the replacement of its employees by employees of the defunct and bankrupt Societe Generale Banks was not surprising enough, the sale of the bank to Access was the most fraudulent in the banking industry history in Nigeria. It could be described as a curious case of a rat swallowing an elephant. Africa Inquirer obtained a loan document taken by Access bank under Aig Imokhuede. Aig Imokhuede and his partner through United Alliance Company of Nigeria Limited. The company took a loan of N16,247,686,168:18 N16.2 billion from Intercontinental Bank under Akingbola and tactically delayed payment of the loan. Curiously, few months to the takeover of Intercontinental, United Alliance Company requested in March and July for rescheduling of the loan payment. In a letter dated July 6, 2011 signed by one Chizoba Ufoeze, the company begged that “due to constrain on our cash flow,” they requested for “ a 30-day extension.” Our investigation later discovered that, the delay tactics was part of the plan of Saraki and Lamido to sell Intercontinental Bank to Aig Imokhuede who took loan from Akingbola’s bank to acquire Access Bank. Lamido’s CBN used AMCON to deplete Intercontinental bank’s assets before selling it to Access bank. Since Access bank owes Intercontinental Bank N16 Billion, where did it get the N50 Billion to purchase Intercontinental Bank? Africa Inquirer discovered that Aig Imokhuede, sourced for the N50 Billion from Bank of Industry. As at then, the Managing Director of Bank of Industry was Mrs. Evelyn Oputu, Aig Imokhuede’s mother-in-law. With impunity, under the supervision of Malam Lamido as the CBN Governor, N50 billion was paid to Intercontinental bank account in the evening, and immediately after the acquisition of Intercontinental Bank, Aig Imokhuede, transferred the N50 Billion back to the Bank of Industry. By implication, Aig and his group paid nothing for Intercontinental Bank. Surprisingly, Imokhuede and Wigwe’s United Alliance Company ranked third on the list of defaulting companies published by the Sanusi Lamido-led CBN in an advertorial dated May 31, 2009 for its indebtedness to Intercontinental to the tune of N16b. The same loan was carried to July 2011 and in September 2011, Sanusi’s CBN sold Intercontinental bank to its debtor for N50b. http://www.africainquirer.com/questionable-acquisition-erastus-akingbola-lost-intercontinental-bank-bukola-saraki-sanusi-lamido-sanusi-aig-imokhuede-kings-college-mafia-part-one/amp/ http://saharareporters.com/2010/09/29/erastus-akingbola-petitions-agf-fraudulent-take-over-intercontinental-bank-plc-dr-bukola |

Concerning this tithing issue, I have always wondered. Why the churches are so rich that they sometimes forget that they are merely non profitable organizations. The churches are supposed to be were people are salvaged in areas of spirituality, morally and material. I don't like it when a church like RCCG makes a turn up of more than N200b a year in just tithing, seeds etc., or is it the master edifice being erected all over by WINNERS CHAPEL, the count is endless, and they cannot ever seen to be helping out the needs among them. I support Daddy freeze a lot in this campaign and if I had same resources as him, I would have joined in the train. I was so surprised that Suleman that kept silence all the while and refused to answer questions concerning his alleged affairs with the Canadian based Stephanie otobo could be quick to attack Daddy freeze for a question freeze politely asked. As far as am concerned, the young man daddy freeze has not insulted any pastor or GO, he is just seeking answers. PLEASE READ BELOW CAREFULLY A TEXT FROM A FELLOW CLERGY; REV. FR OKITE EXPLAINS THE LAW ON TITHES IN THE LIGHT OF GOD'S CONCERN FOR THE POOR I call on all priests and ministers of the Gospel to rethink the meaning of our life and vocation as priests and ministers. Each person should ask himself why he chose to become a priest or a Gospel minister. What does God expect of me as a priest? The priest is alter Christus, another Christ. What this means is that people who encounter me should be able to see the touching presence of Christ in and through me. They should be able to feel Chist's love and compassion, his care and concern. My words should reveal and reflect Christ's message of hope and salvation. During our retreat, I told the retreatants the story of a young priest (and this is a true story) who, intending to bamboozle his audience with high sounding theological terms, kept repeating to them "As a priest, I am altar Christi." And I said to him what do you mean by that? He replied, you know nah, it means another Christ. I corrected him. He intended to say "alter Christus". But I added, how I wish you meant the one you said, "altar Christi" because that is also a grammatically possible expression in Latin, and it means "altar of Christ". You see being a priest involves sacrifice. The priest should be ready to become the altar upon which the sacrifice of the Christian community will be offered. He should be ready to bear the sacrifice upon himself. But what we find is a situation where the priest thinks he is there to enjoy life. The priest craves a life of affluence and excessive wealth. The priest should take a look at the inaugural message of Christ in Luke 4,16-30 "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me. He has sent me to bring good news to the poor. .." The priest who models himself after Christ cannot but take seriously this mission to the poor. But what we find in the Church today is an overall exploitation of the poor masses. Some parish priests cannot begin a Sunday mass and end it without calling for two or more extra collections outside the regular offertory. This is highly unacceptable. I call this "exploitation of the people's faith and devotion." Presently Nigeria is going through one of the worst economic downturn in its history. Life is at its ebb. Families can't afford their food daily. Yet they somehow manage to give some to the Church and the priest. We should all be grateful for this. But the greedy priest is not satisfied with this. He must, like Oliver Twist, ask for more, and more and more, until the pockets are drained. That is exploitation. The priest should take cognisance of the real life situations of his flock. Part of our duty as priests in these hard times is to help our people to navigate through the difficulties that face them, and we cannot do this if we exploit them financially. Let me give you another example of how we are exploiting the people. Recently the idea of tithes and tithing has crept into the Catholic Church in Igboland. Clearly this is one of those influences we picking up from Pentecostalism. However, is it justitifiable biblically and otherwise? My answer is a categorical NO. In the Old Testament texts which speak about tithes, the whole idea was that of a redistribution of wealth, in order to make sure that the people who don't have would get something from those who have more. It was not something principally to be offered to priests or those who served at the altar. If you take Deut 14:22-29 for instance, this point becomes clear. I call on everyone, both priests and lay faithful to go and read this passage very well. The idea here is that there was an annual occasion for tithing, in which each family was to take one tenth (i.e. the tithe) of their year's produce to the temple, and there in the temple the family itself (not the priests) will together eat what they have brought. In their feasting however, they are enjoined not to forget the Levites, "because they have no property or inheritance". They should also remember to share some of it with "the resident foreigner, the orphan and the widow." So tithing as the book of Deuteronomy makes clear is an occasion for feasting, in which a part of it is shared with the poor, namely the Levites, the resident foreigners, the widows and orphans. One may argue that the priests are the Levites of our time. That may be correct, but in this passage what entitles the Levites to a share in the tithe is not his serving the Lord, but the fact of his possessing no property. The priests of today (or in the Protestant and Pentecostal churches, the pastor, minister, evangelist) all have possessions: cars, landed property, fat bank accounts, etc. They no longer belong to the poor who were meant to eat the tithes with the people. The primary concern in the Deuteronomic law on tithes is that the people, by means of a communion meal before the Lord, involving one tenth of their produce, should recognise God as the one who gave the land and its increase, and tha they should share it with those who do not have. When we come to the famous passage in Malachi 3, God laments that the people rob him by not bringing in their tithes. This passage in Malachi can only be interpreted in reference to the bringing in of tithes means in Deuteronomy. That is to say, God laments that people were not bringing their tithes to the temple to eat as the Law requires, but were eating them them at home. And by doing so, the poor people including the Levites, the widows and orphans, could not get their own share. God's concern for the poor is offended. Now leaving the Bible aside, let's talk of morality and justice. What moral justification can a priest who owns a car, sometimes the latest model in town, has millions in his bank account, owns buildings all over, lives in Parish house that is paid for and catered for by the parishioners, whose feeding and overhead expenses are taken care of by others. What moral justification can such a person ever have to demand that a poor parishioner, whose earning is so meagre, should give him 10% of it, under false pretence that you are the modern day Levite. There is a huge difference. The difference is that the modern day priest is, to say the least, well-to-do while the ancient Levite was destitute. When the priest or minister or pastor under the pretext of being a Levite, demands tithes from his congregation, that would amount to exploitation and forming part of the oppressive machinery. Only a warped sense of rightness, fuelled by egoism, will allow that. So my advice to fellow priests is that we should keep the seeking of self interest and financial gains by the side and focus on service to the people. On a further note, discipline and self control are very important in our lives as priests. Pls forward this message if you found it enlightening and eye-opening. Help save our poor masses from the greed of of priests and pastors #SharedasCopied# |
