I don't understand Nigerian mentality. I would insinuate that 90% of the guys shouting, 'Fake' have never even been to his church nor watched his television station Emmanuel TV. Yes, he's unconventional. Yes, he doesn't confirm to religious ideology. Yes, crazy things happen at his church. But trust me - this guy is the REAL DEAL. In my humble opinion, T.B. Joshua is the best ambassador our nation has ever had.

As a Nigerian who travels often, I can assuredly say that TBJ is positively rebranding the image of a nation spoiled by the likes of Boko Haram. If he sent a message through to GEJ and that helped him make the critical decision to concede peacefully - all glory be to God! This is a time to rejoice that blood was not spilled and the democratic will of the people has prevailed. If rolls were reversed and General Buhari were on the losing side, would the same outcome have materialized? Shame onto all the guys calling for his head because he is positively impacting his nation, despite undergoing untold amounts of persecution and hatred.

PoliticsPolitical Thugs Surrender In TB Joshua's Church! by Nosa77(op): 1:24pm On Mar 28, 2015
With all eyes fixed on the Nigerian general elections set to hold on Saturday 28th March 2015, a video released on YouTube has shown a notorious group of political thugs who have vowed to shun violence.

Standing before the church congregation, a rough looking young man named Abdulkareem did not mince his words. He explained how politicians had used him and ‘his boys’ in the past to wreak havoc and cause untold destruction, especially during the period of elections.

“We are all Nigerians; we are political thug marshals. We have been used in a deadly way to destroy ourselves and others,” he confessed. Beside him stood a group of 14 young men; all were looking haggard and haunted.

“Many of our family members have died because of us,” he continued. Pointing to one of his colleagues, who was conspicuously one-eyed, he explained, “They killed his father and younger brother on the same day. On the day of ‘vengeance’, he lost one of his eyes.”

Lifting up his shirt, Abdulkareem showed several large scars. “These are my own injuries which almost killed me,” he said. During one ‘mission’, he was shot in the stomach, the bullet entering his lower abdomen and came out the other side.

So, what were these self-confessed criminals doing in a church service with elections around the corner? “Last time, the politicians said they would take us abroad and change our lives but they disappointed us,” he irately explained. “They were even the ones arresting us after we had helped them.”

Continuing, the group leader stated that they were all tired of being used and dumped by the political class, adding that above all they desired peace. “Elections will soon come and we are tired of being used. I have been watching Emmanuel TV and seeing what Jesus is using T.B. Joshua to do for people. That’s why we sent an email to this church.”

Another gang member named Ahmed, who said he was a student before delving into crime, also spoke, adding that all of them had visited witchdoctors to collect ‘charms’ for protection.

“The charms we have been using are now tormenting us critically,” he said. “If we are sitting down or walking on the streets, all we keep thinking about is blood, destroying things, shedding blood here and there. We need deliverance, Man of God.”

Following their sordid confession, Pastor T.B. Joshua addressed the congregation. “The answer is not killing but how can we deliver them, restore them and give them whatever we have,” he began, saying that God told him to invite the group after receiving their email.

“I want to assure you that these people will not go back to that type of job. This is why we invited them – to pray with them and remove that spirit which pushes them to see blood. God said I should give each of them N400,000 with three bags of rice.”

Almost moved to tears, the hardened young men began to give thanks to God. The touching YouTube clip concludes with the gang receiving prayer for ‘deliverance’ followed by the gift presentation and their promise to never again instigate violence or fall victim to unruly political whims.

Christianity EtcRe: Did TB Joshua Predict Germanwings Plane Crash??? by Nosa77(op): 1:16pm On Mar 25, 2015
A Ghanaian wrote this as a comment on the GhanaWeb article about the prophecy. I agree with the man!

"There are unchangeable events that no amount of prayer and fasting can avert. The man of God, Prophet TB Joshua was shown a vision of an impending plane crash. Being passionate for the salvation of souls, he told the whole world to fast and pray between 19th & 23rd March. I believe his desire was to seek God if peradventure this calamity could be averted. But we are not living in heaven. We are living in a complex and contradictory world. And so, in as much as we would often desire that such visions revealing an impending calamity be averted, God in His own wisdom can still allow that calamity to happen as a wake-up call to all and sundry; so that we will not put our trust in the things we have made in this world, but in the Living and most high God.

"What crime then, has the man of God committed? Why vilify TB Joshua for asking the whole world to fast and pray if perhaps in God's mercy, an unchangeable event could be changed? For with God nothing is impossible. Jonah was sent to Nineveh to tell them about an impending calamity, but when the whole nation fasted including their animals, God changed the event in their favour.

"Perhaps, you & I did not take the words of Prophet TB Joshua seriously; perhaps if we had joined him in truth and in faith, this calamity could have been averted. But here we are - a generation without faith and without hope. Oh, that this generation will wake up to know there is a prophet of God in our midst. Well, if they rejected Jesus Christ the Son of the Living God, I'm not surprised that this generation reviles TB Joshua whenever he speaks; for a servant cannot be greater than his master. But when the servants of God speak, the wise listen! Are you among the wise? Good morning."

Christianity EtcDid TB Joshua Predict Germanwings Plane Crash??? by Nosa77(op): 12:42am On Mar 25, 2015
On Sunday 22nd March 2015, Prophet T.B. Joshua called on congregants to pray ‘to avert’ an impending calamity.

“I asked you to fast last week on Thursday and tomorrow (Monday),” he reminded congregants. “Please observe the fasting.”

Joshua explained that he had been praying fervently concerning the plane crash he had foreseen the previous week.

“I too am just coming from the (prayer) mountain before coming here… just praying for God to avert this calamity. We love people not because they appreciate us but we love them because of salvation,” the Nigerian cleric stated.

Early on Tuesday 24th March 2015, breaking news hit international media that an Airbus A320 airliner belonging to Germanwings has crashed in the French Alps en route from Barcelona to Duesseldorf, leading to the deaths of all 144 passengers and six crew members.

Several online commentators within Nigeria reacted to the news of the crash on social media by recalling Joshua’s purported prediction.

Additionally, on Sunday 15th March 2015, the controversial cleric had also spoken about the upcoming Nigerian elections, stating that betrayal was ripe within the two major political parties.

“The challenge Nigeria is facing – on the day of voting, when you drop your votes in the ballot box, you will know who is PDP and who is APC,” he told congregants. “It’s a parable; very delicate. Because everybody plays a game; we deceive ourselves. ‘So this man voted for this party but he’s in that party.’”

The recent defection of Rivers State Deputy Governor Tele Ikuru from Nigeria’s opposition party APC to the ruling party PDP underscores Joshua’s assertion, especially considering his closeness to Rotimi Amaechi, perhaps the most vocal critic of the current Nigerian government.

True talk. The persecution TBJ has faced is enough to demoralise any man. Even the backlash from the incident last September. Yet TBJ continues to wax stronger... TB JOSHUA SPEAKS ON BEAUTY, BUSINESS
Prophet T.B. Joshua addressed several pertinent issues during his church service on Sunday 22nd March 2015, especially while ministering prophetic messages to congregants.

“There is a crown in your family but all the females cannot settle down,” the Nigerian cleric ‘prophesied’ to a member of his congregation in a service broadcast live on Emmanuel TV. “No single person has a husband. Those who have – after two to three months, they have a divorce.” Perplexed, the attractive young lady affirmed the message, adding that this predicament was the reason of her visiting Joshua’s church known as The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN).

“That shows that beauty or handsomeness cannot solve this problem,” Joshua stated, turning to the congregation. Waxing philosophical, he continued, “This is to tell you that when it is time to dress, make-up, take your bath and eat, it is time to hurry. Those things have little to do with your future. Don’t waste your time on what cannot guarantee your future; your mirror keeps deceiving you.”

Continuing in his prophetic messages, Joshua revealed another lady was depressed and lonely despite her outward beauty. “A beautiful woman without God is an ugly woman,” the cleric explained before praying for the lady who had travelled from Sweden to the church service.

Earlier on in the service, Joshua relayed some practical tips for businessmen in his sermon dealing with the importance of both confession and belief. “It is what you believe that translates in the life you live,” he stated. “You will never ever succeed in any business unless you really believe in that business. You must believe the product you are promoting,” he added.

Joshua bemoaned the fact that most people don’t actually believe in the job they are doing, hence their swiftness to abandon it when trouble comes and their tendency to be a ‘jack of all trades’, oftentimes holding multiple business cards.

“Today, we promote products we don’t believe in,” he surmised. “How do we know? Eventually your doubt will surface when crisis comes.”

Referring to his own controversial sojourn in the ministry, Joshua added, “If I were not constant in my career, I would abandon Synagogue and become an accountant! If I don’t believe what I am doing, I will close this church and look for another business out there - because of crisis… Crisis should not lead to abandonment or separation. Real faith flourishes on a test.”

Citing another example, Joshua also related his message to marriage. “If you confess, ‘My wife is beautiful’ – it does not mean you actually love her. If there is crisis, you may abandon her, especially if you see someone who is more beautiful”.

The cleric further reiterated his call for prayers for Nigeria in lieu of his prediction last week about an impending plane crash, stressing that Monday 23rd March should especially be observed. He noted that he had ‘spent the night’ at a ‘prayer mountain’ to intercede for the avoidance of the calamity.

Christianity EtcConfessions Of An International Prostitute!!! by Nosa77(op): 9:05pm On Mar 16, 2015
A young lady who was declared missing over a decade ago in Ghana has turned up at Pastor T.B. Joshua’s church in Nigeria with a harrowing tale to tell.

“I was an international prostitute,” the young lady who gave her name as Precious tearfully told the congregation at The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) on Sunday 15th March 2015.

According to Precious, her problems emanated from an unusual encounter she had with a man coming home from school aged 15. “He asked me to give him an apple I had eaten,” she explained. “When he was going, he smiled at me in a weird way. That night, I saw the same man in my dream sleeping with me. I woke up in a pool of blood.”

The once bright and prodigious student began mingling with bad friends at school and was forcibly introduced one night to an intoxicating mix of alcohol and marijuana, causing her to pass out. “When I woke up, I saw myself naked on the bed and realised someone had slept with me,” she confessed.

Convinced to run away from home, Precious’ new group of friends introduced her to a lady leading an international prostitution ring. Equipped with skimpy clothes and housed in a luxurious apartment, the young girl entered fully into the dirty world of prostitution, sleeping with multiple men every night.

Unbeknown to her, a manhunt had ensued for Precious, her disappearance from home even being announced on national television and radio.

Apart from dressing seductively, the young lady was informed diabolical routes must be taken to ensure success in her fledgling ‘career’. Taken to a notorious witchdoctor, a special cream mixed with the follicles of her vaginal hair was prepared for the purpose of seduction.

Precious’ new lifestyle was accompanied by an intense addiction to alcohol and smoking to the extent that it practically replaced food. “I didn’t just drink beer,” she explained. “I would take whisky or hard liquor instead of eating food. As much as I was smoking and drinking is as much as I would get clients.”

Branching out on her own after staying with her ‘love-vendor’ for just two months, Precious rented an apartment to continue her immoral activities.

“I was going out with only big men, oftentimes ministers,” she admitted. “I didn’t just go out with any men at all. Our pictures were in all the big hotels. I would initiate them into our society.”

Asked how she was able to ‘initiate’ men of such status, Precious explained that the witchdoctor or ‘baba’ had given her a dark substance to drop in their drinks.

Seeking even more seductive powers, the young lady returned to the same spiritualist. “I found myself naked after drinking from the shrine there,” she vividly described. “I saw this man putting his mouth on my private parts and blood was coming out.”

Another cream was prepared, this time with her own blood, ground with the particles of a mirror and water from the shrine. In addition, a ring and chain with spiritual implications were presented to her.

“I would place it on my neck and wear a sexy, dark dress,” she said, explaining the function of the chain. “It would be in the middle of my breasts. Immediately you set your eyes on me lustfully, you would follow me and get confused.”

Living large, Precious soon had 16 ‘bodyguards’ following her, drove the latest vehicles and donned the latest fashion. Her next target was pastors.

“The witchdoctor said I should sit in the front seat of the church, wearing a sexy dress,” she narrated. “Once the pastor sets his eyes on me, within fifteen minutes, he would call me out, pretend to give me a Bible quotation but actually give me his phone number… Whether he’s married or not, he must sleep with me that same day.”

The lives of all the men she encountered sexually were automatically destroyed. “That’s how I brought down a very great pastor in my country,” she added, acknowledging though that she was only able to entrap clerics who were not genuine in their Christianity.

Additionally, Precious explained that promiscuous pictures of hers were available all over the internet, also pushing men to sin. “I placed my pictures on Facebook. Whoever you are, as you are looking at my picture, you will begin to masturbate yourself,” she stated.

Despite obtaining large amounts of money, Precious acknowledged that she ‘didn’t achieve anything’ with her resources and her beauty was steadily fading away although she was just in her late 20s.

One day, a man dressed in white apparel met her on the street and requested for money. Reluctantly obliging, the man said God would bless her for her generosity and advised her to visit Prophet T.B. Joshua’s popular church in Lagos, Nigeria.

“I saw the man in my dream that night repeating the instruction. That is what convinced me to come to The SCOAN for deliverance.”

On the prayer line, Precious held up a bottle of whiskey and cried out that her life was a mess, adding that she was ready to forsake her old life of prostitution and substance abuse. “It’s the devil,”T.B. Joshua angrily declared before praying for her. Violently reacting to the prayer, she was delivered from the spirit tormenting her.

“I now vomit at even the scent of smoke,” Precious testified, a week after her deliverance, stating that all urges to take alcohol, smoke and sleep with men had completely gone.

She tearfully advised young people not to be deceived by the lure of worldly treasures and pleasures, adding that she is actually happy for the first time in her life following her exorcism.

I have a couple of questions for Pastor Peterside - when did TB Joshua in an interview tell you the time he became a Christian? It is well documented that he was called a 'small pastor' (http://www.scoan.org/about/prophet-tb-joshua/biography-of-tb-joshua/everything-big-starts-little/) right from when he was in primary school - that is, kindergarten - yet you say in your video that TB Joshua was not a Christian at the time you were baptised?? Is TB Joshua not older than you? Can't you see this language is very insulting?

I recall some years ago in a Vanguard interview that you explained how you were involved in occultism to the extent that you even initiated virgins and had diabolic conversations with snakes. Now you are saying you were born again at a small age and have served God for 38 years? Your words are full of contradictions. Do you mean you were involved in occultism as a small boy before you were baptised? Please clear up this issue!
Christianity EtcHuman Rights Group Protests Government 'cover-up' In Synagogue Collapse by Nosa77(op): 4:20pm On Feb 09, 2015
The Committee for the Defence of Human Rights (CDHR) has called on the Federal Government of Nigeria to expedite action on the release of the security report of investigation into the collapsed Synagogue, Church of All Nations building in which over a hundred lives, mostly South Africans, were lost on September 12, 2014.

The human rights group made this call during a solidarity rally held in support of the Founder and General Overseer of the church, Prophet T.B. Joshua at the premises of the church on Monday, February 9, 2015. The group was led by its National President, Comrade Sunny Enenuvwedia, Vice President, Comrade Ade Ikuesan as well as the National Auditor, Comrade Adesegun Aloba.

Speaking to newsmen while inspecting the site of the collapsed building, Comrade Enenuvwedia wondered why the presidential committee set up to look into the circumstances surrounding the incident is yet to release a report. He observed that the essence of the solidarity rally is to ensure that justice is done bearing in mind the international implications of the incident which claimed the lives of foreign nationals.

“Why has it taken the government so long to unravel what happened here,” Enenuvwedia questioned. “Even though I am a layman, I know these foundations are very solid,” he said, standing before the huge foundations of the collapsed building.

“All we are hearing is let the man of God come to court,” he continued. “For what? What is the reason for that? Is it not the building that collapsed? We don’t believe in ethnicity or politicizing issues. We have to attend to issues the way they are. They should allow the man of God to remain where he is and do the work God has assigned to him. Enough of humiliating TB Joshua – CDHR will not stand and see that happen. We will continue to fight for the rights of all Nigerians. We have demanded that the government release this report within two weeks. Let the whole world know the reason for this action.”

The group circulated flyers that questioned many issues pertaining to the collapsed building. For instance, the flyer carried the following questions: who owns the plane that crossed over The Synagogue building several times? Who is the pilot of the plane? Why is the Federal Government quiet about what happened?

The Chairman of the Ogun State chapter, Comrade Folarin Olayinka bemoaned the lack of respect Nigeria had shown for the sanctity of human life. “When you see what has happened here, it is quite unfortunate that Nigeria has become a country where everything is politicized,” he said. “The lives of human beings are no longer valuable to the leadership of our country.”

“We have come to demand justice and agitate against the denial and delayed justice,” he defiantly continued. “We are all aware of what happened at the church here. They said that they have constituted a panel to come up with a report to determine what happened but since then, no report has come out. The Federal Government should come out with the report of the evil that has befallen the church. They should come out to reveal the perpetrators. We don’t want it to be swept under the carpet. It is the cry of the people that has necessitated our coming here today. Anyone that has caused sorrow, we believe that they will not go unpunished,” he concluded.

Speaking on behalf of the church, one of the foreign evangelists showed the human rights group the strength of the foundations, observing that the collapse was a controlled demolition that was planned and executed. He also said that the incident had not stopped foreigners from visiting the church in search of spiritual rejuvenation.

Meanwhile, a delegation of visiting Russians who spoke to newsmen said people from their nation would continue to visit Nigeria because of the great works God is doing through Prophet T.B. Joshua. Spokesman of the delegation, Mr. Ramin Teyyubov who led other members of the delegation to the site of the collapsed building said Nigerians should appreciate their own.

“Russian people and countries from the former Soviet Union love T.B. Joshua, respect this ministry and know what God is doing through him,” Teyyubov stated. “We are joining the Committee for the Defence Of Human Rights and we agree with the questions they are asking. People are asking from our country why this issue has not been resolved yet.”

“All of us live under one God and He sees everything,” the Russian counseled. “I was sitting at home and wondering who the pilot was, who planned this and why the government is still keeping silent. They know what is happening. We know Prophet T.B. Joshua, his integrity and how he walks with God. These are very important questions that need answers!”

Representatives of CDHR were then shown the 11 ambulances belonging to The SCOAN that were used during the rescue operation. The human rights group insisted that they were moving to Abuja next to continue their protest until the government released the security report.

The inquest into the cause of the collapse of the building is set to resume on Tuesday 10th February 2015.

quixotic:
an example to CAN and PFN. A true religious leader. Sometimes i wonder if the Supreme Council For Islamic Studies openly adopt buhari. Christian leaders should not pit muslims against christians. If not God will hold them accountable for any crisis that may arise.
CAN and PFN are the same people who have denounced TB Joshua as satanic - but today, he is showing them what true Christianity is all about. Time, they say, will tell...

How many other pastors can genuinely say this... - because of what they have collected?

A video has surfaced of Prophet T.B. Joshua speaking briefly about the upcoming Nigerian elections, insisting that pastors should not take sides.

During Joshua’s ministration in his church last month, a lady, whom he had prophesied to regarding a marital challenge, stated that her husband was supposed to be a governorship flag bearer for Nigeria’s ruling party in the upcoming elections.

“Madam, you are bringing the issue of politics to the church,” Joshua immediately interjected. “There is nothing bad about politics but we should not allow it to infiltrate Christianity,” he continued.

The cleric then publicly addressed the current political imbroglio affecting many pastors. “My members – whatever political party you belong – let it from your heart,” he counselled. “I should not allow it to infiltrate the ministry. I pray for all of you. I love all of you. Are you PDP? Are you APC? Are you Labour? You are my people.”

He continued, “The nature of our job does not permit us to take sides; we should pray for everyone and let God be the final. After you have done the job, God will still mark it; you should allow God to mark it.”

Joshua’s statement stands in contrast to the position of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) as recent reports suggest they have chosen to endorse ruling President Goodluck Jonathan for a second term.

No fewer than 5, 000 pastors under the aegis of faithful pastors movement of Nigeria have appealed to the founder of the Synagogue Church of all nation, SCOAN, Prophet Temitope Joshua, to be their leader.

The pastors in a communiqué released after a meeting held in Lagos over the weekend, noted that the pastors who are from various churches in the country said they have decided to come together to form an association to promote the work of Jesus Christ through the propagation of his gospel.

In the communiqué signed by the Public Relation Officer of the movement, Bishop Isaac Giwa, the pastor stated that they had watched with admiration the activities of Prophet T.B Joshua in the propagation of the gospel of Jesus Christ and were impressed.

“We have prayed over this new association and GOD has led us to seek the leadership of Prophet T.B Joshua to lead the new association to the Promised Land.

“We are also impressed with the philanthropic activities of the Prophet popularly called ‘the man in the synagogue’ and have decided to make philanthropy the cardinal principle of our movement.

“Prophet T.B Joshua’s donation to motherless babies’ homes, destitute and the old peoples’ homes nationwide are well documented and acknowledged publicly.

“Recently, Prophet T.B Joshua gave out N70 million for the burial of victims of the Synagogue building collapse. Each family of the deceased was to be given N750, 000 as burial expenses for the martyrs of faith,” they stated in the communiqué.

Prophet T.B Joshua is one of the notable philanthropic pastors in Nigeria. He was reported to have disbursed over $20 million in the last three years on charity, even as he was given the national honour of OFR for his charitable work.
