My question is, why is it that kidnapping and ritualism skyrocketed in Southwest after the mass migration of Osus into the region. As a kid growing up in Lagos in the 80s and 90s, I hardly hear of all this barbaric acts. Though, I knew there were evil and wicked people in the world then, but you hardly see or hear of cases of kidnappers and ritualists. The recent trend of kidnapping and money ritual is alien to Yoruba culture, and we Omoluabis must do all what is necessary to stop it
you should be asking yourself that question ... when the igbos were hustling you guys were busy doing omo onile and agbero ... now that ambode has banned omo onile we hv started seeing the effects. Heads are no longer safe ... by the time ambode phase out yellow buses from lagos you guys will go fulltime into skull mining grin grin

We igbos are adventurous and not cowardly and lazy like your people, we dont need a human head to make money ... we have guts, tell an igbo man he can make so much money in a battle field ... he will risk his life to go there not minding if he dies, you tell an igbo man if he is caught with drugs in asia he would be sentenced to death, he will still risk it, if you tell an igbo man that yorubas are scavangers and will do all it takes to make business unbearable for him, he would still defy all warnings and run a successful business on their soil(this is the root of their jealousy) . .. but thats not the case of the yoruba man who ties all his success to human head and juju ... IGBOS COMMIT CRIMES WE KNOW BUT IN MOST CASES THESE CRIMES ARE NOT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED LAZY PEOPLE AND ITS USUALLY A LIFE OR DEATH SITUATION WHICH IS NOT TOO BAD CONSIDERING YOU ARE SACRIFICING YOUR OWN LIFE . not like the selfish coward tribe

Migration of people from the eastern part of Nigeria to the relatively peaceful and prosperous west has brought its own baggage and unwanted crimes.

These influx of persons of questionable character wanted for crimes in the South East to west and other parts of Nigeria has given rise to various crimes such as kidnapping, ritual killings, rape, robbery and other societal vices.
lol i guess its the igbo man that also thought your people how to do agbero and omo oinile .. what else did the igbo man teach you? How to handle your wife in za other room perhaps grin grin

I serve in Osun state, the whole village of Iwo and Asa is all about juju,in the night their witches sing music on top of trees,i never know that yorubas are so backward like that, the village of Asa near Iwo is totally littered with mud houses as if one is in desert part of northern Nigeria, they sell juju things openly in their local market, lizard head, snake head, tortoise and so on
you dont need to tell me .. i know all this perfectly well .. i was born and bred here in lagos and i even spent 6 years of my life in ogbomoso so i know yoruba culture very well but what amazes me is that they are proud of juju and say it out openly ... my landlady has once sent an a crocodile to my next door neighbours when we were kids .. but that my neighbour too was a strong yoruba jazz woman her name is iya muyi that one just sent the crocodile back .. the crocodile now went to the next room which was ours ( it was a face me i face u) we didnt have jazz na so the crocodile entered our palour and everyone was asleep except my elder bro he was the one that saw it and alerted people .. it was finally caught and killed but guess what my landlady asked for the head of the crocodile but the crowd refused . It was burnt and buried

If you want to see juju face to face .. go and rent a house owned by an ijebu muslim .. their xtains are diabolic o but nothing close to the ijebu muslim ... i remember far back when i was a child .. i grew up in bariga .. one day i came out to urinate o ... and everywhere was dark and i could barely see a thing, all of a sudden NEPA brought light and just a few feet away was my landlady stark unclad carrying a calabash with white chalk mark all over her body .. i ran away like a madboy but that experience haunted me for a long time .. fear Yorubas o

crime oo, jazz oo is not particular to any tribe. Let's stop this tribal sentiments and face the issues at hand. We are loosing our sense of empathy, sensitivity and judgement because of tribal hate. There was one hotel in anambra that was shut down for ritual killings, I hear of ritual killings in Port harcourt, I have read about another in delta. I have heard in enugu. Many Nigerians still believe in these things, some even go to a give to churches/mosques because they think "God" will forgive when they do. We have a social problem that needs to be addressed. Pls, let's stop this tribe thingy.
there is ritual killings everywhere, that we know but where is it more rampant and where is it seen as a normal thing?? We all know the answer SOUTH WEST ..HEADQUATER OGUN STATE .. even nairaland has all the evidence .. check out any ritual related story between last week and now and see the results .. i think this BUHARIZATION is forcing them to hustle harder grin grin

Igbos take risks ... and not engage in cowardly acts like dis afonjas ... igbos have their bad side but afonjas cant do them because it requires guts ... an igbo guy swallows drugs and risks his own life .. if the drug bursts in his belly he dies ... but that is a million times better than the cowards from the west who uses innocent and defenceless people for rituals ... everywhere in the west is diabolical .. yoruba culture is very diabolical.

This is not a tribalistic talk but I live in Lagos and the average mentality of a Yoruba man is that you can't count a million without doing jazz

This would always happen once they have this diabolical tendency . The fact is jazz is nothing to be ashamed of in Yoruba culture

I am just saying the fact not to yab
100% correct and every yoruba man knows that .

Like I said before, until the name of the culprits are published, there is nothing to prove that the ritualists are Yorubas. We knew of Clifford Orji then, it was the same modus operandi with this one. Since the massive migration of Osus to southwest, the rate of ritual killing has skyrocketed
dont lie to yourself .. you know what your people are capable of ... grin cheesy grin .. back then in secondary school afonja teenagers as young as 14, 15 .. were already patronizing babalawo for charms to fight and also touch and follow to hypnotise our schoolmates ... ijebu pple are the worst .. i hv a lot of them as friends and they are usually proud to say they do jazz .. if you check their bodies, you will see incisions all over ... a yoruba person especially ijebu whether xtain or muslim engage in fetish activities and they see nothing wrong with it ... you need to watch yoruba films to understand better

last time i checked badoo was an afonja skul mining cult .. any igbo boy called badoo was only framed up .. that was how one boy told his story how vigilantes told him to pay some money to them or they will label him as a bado member .. thank God he was a yoruba boy and spoke yoruba language with them, he later. Paid a lesser amount that was earlier demanded. What was his crime?? He came back late at night. Fear afonjas .. all these people they are killing in the nameof badoo are innocent people .. the real badoos are the vigilantes carrying out the jungle justice

An average yoruba man is fetish.. right frm secondary schools teenage yoruba boys are already using jazz to fight and also hypnotise girls ... just watch their films and see how accepted and normal ritual is .. if you watch 100 yoruba films today you will see they all hv ritual content .. ijebu ppl are the worst

Op i am very sure it still hurts u dat this girl shared the honey pot to other guys even after all ur attempts and failed .. u two are playing a very dangerous game ... The girls might hv told u this secret just to intentionally hurt u because u slept with her neighbour ...my friend sorry if i sound pessimistic but as a man i can categorically tell you that there is an 80% chance u will throw this girl out of ur life after getting the honey pot. You are not sure about what you want yet if not you wouldnt even open this thread .. i know ur heart is telling u the truth follow it . My advice : have a sexual relationship with her before any decision.. i dont mean just sex o .. just court her properly but sex must be involved

You don't love her. You are just longing for what you are yet to taste. Marriage is not a game. If you can have a sexual relationship with her before marriage and you still feel like marrying her, then go for it!

It is almost like the brain power of the average Nigerian is permanently stunted to that of a 12 year old. It doesn't matter what he does. He is an incompetent corrupt official and his actions should never be applauded. What you all should be thinking and talking about is how to get him and people like him out of you lives permanently. You guys have some kind of undiagnosed amnesia that is spreading like wildfire in Nigeria. Smh

Again even if its the house or your building you built yourself , what about the land...??

Bros , Urhobo , delta , ijebu , ijesha , Igbo
All are the same.. shocked shocked
no its not .. mind you i said ijebu and not yoruba generally ... I am not the only one saying it .. i even have an ijebu friend that said the same thing and told me how a neighbour in his compound saw his landlord in the midnight spraying water in the balcony of the house and the next morning he confronted the landlord but he denied it and gave him quit notice . In less than 2 month a guy that was thinking of buying a land lost almost everything and went back to beg the landlord because he couldnt even pay rent anymore ... It was his girlfriend that helped him out of the house . If u see the guy now he owns his own house ... MIND YOU I AM NOT SAYING ITS NOT EVERYWHERE BUT IJEBU'S OWN IS QUITE COMMON ... DO YOU LIVE IN LAGOS?
PropertiesMy Worrisome Experiences In Ijebu Owned Houses In Lagos by Nosikebit(op): 7:16am On Jul 19, 2017
I was born a bred in lagos and the 1st house i ever lived in was owned by an ijebu woman, i never saw the husband but i heard he died and she chased his other wives and claimed the property. The house was not progressive at all and the woman was very wicked. She was a core muslim and never miss prayers, i know this because she does it outside on her mat but she was still fetish, the moment you step into the corridor you will notice something fetish tied at the door-post, i had a lot of terrible experiences at that house as a child. I remembered always going to her room to play along with the other kids with calabash, shekere and some graven images but we were just kids what did we know? I've heard my name being called in the night, i've seen things if i say here y'all wont believe but the day i will never forget was a midnight when i went out to urinate, it was a face me i face u so the bathroom is detached frm d main house, it was so dark i could hardly see a thing all of a sudden Nepa restored power and just inches away from me was my landlady stark unclad holding a calabash, damn i ran like a mad man until years later i never told anyone what i saw but from that day i lived most of my childhood in fear, the nightmares became frequent, i could barely sleep at nights and i began seeing things to make matters worse my parents went completely broke, my dad lost millions in a deal that went bad and my mom was the only one supporting us so packing out became impossibe . To cut the long story short God saw us through and we were able to leave the house when we had new neighbours who were prayer warriors. Every night was prayer eventually the woman gave everyone quit notice because she fell very ill which am pretty sure was because of the prayers as she always tell us to stop praying at nights . Every tenant left the house we were the last tenant left and as we were preparing to leave when the woman came to my dad and told him that we can stay that she has gotten rid of the people disturbing her . God forbid we left the house sharp sharp . This is just one experience as later in life i lived in 2 more houses owned by ijebu ppl and was just the same experience, one of such an aladura even came one early morning and said many people were buried under the foundation of the house and their spirits were angry, i believed because the alhaja that owned the house just died, before she died she always spray water around the compound once in every year but since she died her children fled the house instead of continuing what their mama used to do and a whole lot of calamity befell that house na him me and some tenants wey still get money take off sharply . I have a cousin who just got a very good job in lag recently despite all the warning to avoid ijebu owned houses he ended up in one and spent only 3 months in a 3 bedroom flat he had paid for 2 years before taking to his heels.you cant believe this guy had a welI furnished 3 bedroom flat but abandoned it to squat with a friend in a face me i face you . He told me that he never suspected anything until he began to experience pressing at night and when he told a neighbour about it he just laughed and said its nothing that he hasnt seen nothing yet, that was when my cousin knew he had entered one chance. The neighbour began narrating the stories of all the tenants in the house including himself, that they were gainfully employed and even had cars when they parked to the house but it became impossible to renew their rent just one year down the line since they lost their jobs, my cousin told me he had a neighbour who lost his job alongside his wife in the same month and they always beg to eat, the worst part is that they have a kid and the landlord has given them quit notice but they have no money to park out. And during this time my cousin have not been completely approved as a staff at his company, he and 6 of his colleagues were under trial, when my cousin eye began to clear was when the 5 of his colleagues were made full staff and he alone was still under trial. He spoke to his supervisor who was very good to him and it was the guy that told him that its not normal that he ought to have gotten his letter of approval, that same period my cousin noticed that his car was developing some problems so he just packed it, the day he opened the engine he discovered that there are biiiiggggg rats that always enter the engine to eat things inside, my cousin changed from playboy to prayer warrior and dashed his flat to his married neighbours who the landlord gave quit notice and left the house never to come back again. You cant believe that just 1 week later they called him to recieve his letter of approval and when he checked the date on the letter, it was the same date his colleagues got their letter but for some strange reasons his letter was witheld and they were even threatening to drop him. Believe me if i begin to write all my experiences plus that of my cousin and friends in details una go think say na nollywood movie. Let me just stop here, if you have had any experience even if its not ijebu house lets us hear it and how do one detect if a house is evil or not.
