I have an elder sister that should have committed suicide. If she had commited suicide, I will not have blamed her because she has gone through a lot of troubles since when I knew her as my sister.

I will tell you some things she has passed through and she is going through;

She is a psychiatric patient, i have know her as one since when knew as my sister. Whenever she goes into depression, she loses her mind. When i was about 12 years old, she left our house for my mother's shop and started manifest, torn all her cloth. we had to quickly close the shop and look for wrapper to cover her unclothedness.
On another occasion, at my brother's house, she went naked and climbed the fence of the compound. It was very embarrassing for her and for the entire family.

She spent over 10 years in university before she graduated. She attended two universities, because she couldn't finished from the first one and when she got to the other one she had to change department at some point.

When she was in the second university, her boyfriend that she broke up with released sex tape of her that he video without her notice( her drugs are strong that most times make her unaware of happening around her) . She couldn't walk within the campus without people making fun of her. As at this time she had repented and was a member of a campus fellowship. But the fellowship members deserted her that she is a pretender even though the act in the video happened about 5 year before that time.

She didn't get married until she turned 42 and she gave birth when she turned 46 after severally miscarriage that most time make her depress and then the psychiatric issue ( madness).

I have never told anyone as much details. I doing this to tell someone out there that you can hold on till your change come.

But it wouldn't be easy without faith in God and faith in Jesus, the mediator between God and man.

her faith and hope in God has been the reason she has come this far and it has paid of.

She is still on drugs till today. I don't think your case is worse than hers and if it is, there is always a way out.

We are saying the same thing. I have seen a lot of Christians, but in reality I have seen no Christians. All the Christians I have met a battling with sin yet they claim they have the holyspirit... Doesn't that put a question mark somewhere?

For them? yes. But not the Holy spirit fault.

Another scripture came to mind but I don't think it is necessary to share.

The Holy spirit can either reside and not preside in a believer or reside and preside in a believer.

When the Holy spirit leads a believer and the believer yields to the Holy Spirit, that is the best version of man you can find on earth.

In today church ( that include pastors), you have:
1. Unbelievers
2. Carnal believers
3. Baby believers
4. Spirit filled believer but carnal
5. Spirit filled, spirit led believer

And we have few people belonging to the last category

There is a continuous battle between the Spirit and the flesh. when the flesh dominate, the person manifest the works of the flesh and if the Spirit dominate, the person manifest the fruit of the Spirit. Galatians Chapter 5.

If you ever run into christians like bro Gbile Akanni, Apostle Joshua Selman, strive Masiyiwa, Benny Hinn,just to mention a few. You will understand what the Holy Spirit can do.

church goers than Christians. I don't really think you have met a christian. When you meet one, you will talk differently.

When you touch an insulated container containing hot water and it isn't hot on the outside; should the hot water be regarded as cold ?

11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.

And would have share some other factors with you, but you are not an insider. There are some issue you discuss with a brother/friend that you don't discuss with a acquaintance/stranger.

Regardless of the outcome of this discussion, please be informed that I have lived on both sides of the divide. comparing the two sides, I prefer and I am enjoying this side of the divide and the difference is the Holy spirit.

I am trying my best not to do too much but at the same time make sure that my brethern that we go through this thread can leave with a better understanding and not confusion.

You keep provoking me with the use of "it" and not "He" when you are referring to the Holy Spirit. if you want us to have a meaningful discussion, you will have to correct that by rephrasing your question even if you have to do that for the basis of this conversation.

If not, I can't have a conversation with someone like you.

And as regarding quoting scripture, You can't stop me from doing that because that is what you are contending against. and the only way to explain the scripture is to allow the scripture to speak for himself.

How far but the Holy spirit is supposed to lead the newly born ignorant Christian into all truth. So it doesn't make sense that someone has the Holy spirit and they cannot use it or are ignorant.
Also part of the new covenant as seen from Ezekiel 36:26 is that I will put my law in you and remove the heart of stone and put my spirit in you. From Acts of the apostles anytime the holy spirit came there was an almost immediate deification of the individual in question. He begins to live on another realm.
My argument today is not the Holy Spirit's authenticity but that most Nigerians if not all don't have it and simply get a conscience upgrade at most or cower in fear of Hell as a potential future responsible for a perceived change

Knowledge is key in anything we do in life, even scripture says that My people are destroy for lack of knowledge

Every believer has the indwelling of the Holyspirit but not all believers are full of the Holyspirit. Those are two levels and the results are different.

Acts 6: 2-3
2.Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables.

3 Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.

Why I am taking my time to answer these questions isn't because of you and your likes. it is because of some christians that are not grounded that will view this thread.

This scripture speaks for himself, you can't see him or know him, so how can your opinion be right.

The Holyspirit was not given to us so that we can be better than the unbeliever in earthly gain but was given to us so that we can effectively witness Christ to the world.

Are you familiar with the word “Chanelling” if you did and know what it is, you won’t ever say you are a slave to another. You cannot reach a higher realm if you are enslaved by Jesus. The worst part is submitting all your element to another being. You therefore become a host to a vampire.

I don't know what Channing is? I have an idea base on my profession but i really haven't study it as relating to channeling.
