How on earth do we arrive at these outrageous figures in the first place.
The civil servants who power these parastatals and agencies will labor for 35 years and go home with pension enough to last them for 3 months while some thieving fookers will serve in places of thievery for a few years and take the national coffers with them.

If Buhari truly intends to bring change to the land, he must necessarily need to address issues like this one. They speak for social justice and equality, which are fundamental to the future of this nation.

I blame:

1. The inept security apparatus in the land. Whatever happened to cordoning that area to keep people away!

2. The stupid people who think 25 liters of fuel is worth risking their lives for. You say poverty, I see utter disregard for the values of their own lives.

I can bet that some people would even attack policemen if they were there to stop them from scooping petrol and endangering their own lives

Good English for me does not mean a fake British or American accent it means pronunciation of words are correct and sentences are well strung together to be meaningful.

For example - How has your day been? As opposed to how has been your day? The latter will have me silently grinding my teeth.

I don't know what tribal extraction you are of, but if you are a Yoruba, then I know quite a few good speakers and writers who wouldn't make the cut with you. It won't be because they don't measure up but because they will rather address u in Yoruba than speak English.

I am all for a united APC, but what bothers me are these :

1. How does this unity affect the trial of the Senate President at the CCT?

2. Does a united APC not mean a reenactment of the PDP family affairs dramas. Does it not mean salient issues will be settled only on the ground of 'unity' and not in the true interest of the people?

3. This one scares me really. The way Nigerians are siding with the APC against the PDP. Are we all card carrying members? Shouldn't we be more interested in what accrues to us as citizens more than who wins a battle or the war between cross carpeting, ideologically bereft politicians who are either progressives or otherwise depending on what serves their bank accounts and power thirst?

A united APC means nothing to me, and does not in any way mean good for the country. It might just mean victory for politicians.
