Milli who announced that his dad died last night, September 1, wrote on Instagram;

Just when I thought loosing my Mum was too much of a loss, I loose a father, it is with the most regret and pain that I announce the passing of my father who died last night just months after I buried my mum , I can’t explain to you how I feel , I can’t write it all down, loosing both parents in the same year is not what I wld pray for anybody, This year has brought me so much joy and so much pain at the same time, last night I watched my father die in my arms, it is the most painful feeling in the world, I know I promised y’all a lot this year but I didn’t know there would be so much bad news, you might not hear any music from me or hear from me till next year or maybe the year after, please understand. New reports claim that Kcee’s Lagos home located at Omole Phase II was razed by fire last night.
According to LIB , the fire started at the generator house and spread, engulfing things in its path and partially burning the singer’s Prado SUV.
Men of the fire services department were yet to arrive as at the time of reporting but the fire was brought under control by folks present at the scene. Kcee was reportedly not home at the time of the incident.

Veteran musician, sports enthusiast and entrepreneur, Olanrewaju Fasasi, popularly known as Sound Sultan, has boasted of being a source of inspiration and motivation to many Nigerian artistes who are big in the music industry today



The Jagbajantis crooner bragged to Showtime in a recent chat that before the likes of Wizkid, D’banj, Timaya, Asa, P-Square among others hit the limelight, he mentored, inspired and moulded them into what they are today, which makes them his children in the Nigerian music industry.

“So many artistes that are big now, when they were budding artistes I inspired and motivated them. From P-Square to Wizkid, Dbanj, Timaya, Asa, and all the other guys”, he bragged.

He went on to boast that their current stardom doesn’t stop him from retaining his status as their father in the music industry, which is why he has no plans in the pipeline to take a break from doing music like some colleagues just because he wants to mentor young talents.

That I want to mentor young up and coming artistes doesn’t stop my own career movement, it’s more like a positive energy; it’s not something you need to take a break from.
You don’t have to wait for your fire to die down before igniting another person’s, while your fire is burning you can use it to ignite another person’s fire, so they could feed off the good energy that you emit. That’s why I’m always here; I feel I’ve already done my own thing, all I do now is to satisfy my fans, use the attention and limelight to influence another person”, he said.

According to reports from multiple sources, son of Nollywood actress and Evangelist, Eucharia Anunobi, Raymond Ekwu, has died.

Raymond who she had with her ex-husband, Charles Ekwu, in 2002, has been battling with Sickle Cell Anemia from birth.

He died from complications associated with the disease on Monday, August 21st.

A Nigerian man in Qatar, who became a millionaire for several hours after a bank mistakenly deposited more than QR1.5 million ($411,127.99) into his account recently, has been applauded for his integrity

The man, identified as Michael Asemota, had opened an account with a cheque of QR150,200 with an undisclosed commercial bank, where he is the sole signatory of the account.

As he got back home, he received an alert showing that a QR1,502,000 had been credited into his account by mistake instead of QR150,200. Asemota went back to the bank and returned the money.

Speaking to Qatar Tribune, Asemota said;

”After opening the account with the bank, I checked my balance to make withdrawals for a supply job and found the huge sum.

I was amazed and decided to contact the bank.

I went to see the manager to report the error of QR1,502,000 deposited into my account.

After checking for confirmation, the manager gave me a warm handshake in appreciation.”

Asked why he alerted the bank about the error, Asemota said;

”I knew the money did not belong to me and shouldn’t be in my account in the first place, so there were no motives and temptations to keep it.”

JAY-Z has opened up about his alleged feud with Kanye West. The rapper, 47, recently chatted with Rap Radar to discuss his song “Kill Jay Z.”

The single off his latest album, 4:44, in which he sent a few jabs Kanye’s way. “It’s not even about a Kanye diss. It’s not a diss, I’m talking to myself the whole time,” JAY-Z said. .

However, some of Kanye’s past comments did make the husband of Beyoncé upset. “You got hurt, because this guy was talking about you on a stage,” JAY-Z said referencing West’s infamous Sacramento concert rant last year. .

“But what really hurt me, you can’t bring my kid or my wife into it. … We’ve gotten past bigger issues, but you brought my family into it, now it’s a problem with me.” .

Adding, “You know it’s a problem because me and him would have been talked about it, been resolved our issues. And he knows he crossed the line. ‘Cause we’ve never let this much space go between one of our disagreements and we’ve had many. That’s part of who we are.” .

Expressing her mind in a chat with Punch’s Sunday Scoop, Eva admitted she often entertains the thought of dumping music. She said:

“I have been busy lately with a lot on my plate. But my fans should keep their fingers crossed because I will be coming out with something to blow their minds soon. Right now, I just need to sort some things out personally and get some things off my head.”

I would be lying if I say I don’t think of quitting music; I actually do that often. Sometimes, I just wake up feeling it’s all not worth it but I also push myself forward and continue to evolve.

1. Former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Charles Soludo has explained that Nigeria dived into recession, because of the Federal Government’s poor ideas.
According to him, the recession was avoidable if the right decisions had been taken.
2. The Upper Chamber of the National Assembly has issued a two-week ultimatum to Acting President Yemi Osinbajo to submit the budgets of Federal agencies to the Senate.
The Senate said the budget of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Federal Inland Revenue Service, FIRS, and 35 other federal agencies must be submitted by the Acting President within 14 days.
3. Popular Nollywood actress Moji Olaiya is dead. The actress passed on after suffering from heart attack two months after giving birth in Canada.
The cause of death was linked to complications that arose from her child birth in March.
4. Governor Darius Ishaku of Taraba State has claimed that fleeing Boko Haram members are relocating from Sambisa forest in Borno state to Suntai Daaji forest in Taraba state.
Ishaku told the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 82 Army Division, Enugu, Major General Adamu Abubakar, on Thursday that people can no longer travel freely on Bali-Suntai-Takum road, among several other routes any longer in the state.
5. The Ekiti State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) faction loyal to Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, has asked Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State to leave the party if he so wished.
The party said it would not miss Fayose if he left as he had threatened.
6. Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has claimed that national leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief Bola Tinubu and other top Youruba leaders in the party are crying over treatment being meted out to Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo and the southwest region in general by the “cabal”.
Fani-Kayode said Buhari hates and has nothing to offer them, hence his refusal to appoint them into any key position.
7. Benue State governor, Samuel Ortom has denied asking anybody to crest his name on wheelbarrows reportedly being used to empower youths in the State by his administration.
Ortom said his consent was not sought before the development, saying the wheelbarrows belonged to the State Emergency Management Service.
8. The All Progressives Congress on Thursday warned against any possible attempt to overthrow the government of President Muhammadu Buhari, saying Nigerians will defend democracy in the event of any coup.
The APC said those people approaching soldiers for political reasons should be warned and desist forthwith.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board in Abuja have announced the suspension of registration for the 2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination for 52 hours.
The announcement was made by the Registrar/Chief Executive of JAMB, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede.
The examination body, said the registration will be on hold between 8:00pm on April 7 (Friday) and 12:00am on April 10 (Monday).
Oloyede, who said one million candidates have registered for the exam so far, however, said candidates could also go to banks, NIPOST, Interswitch or Remita to procure PINs for registration on Monday.
He said, “Saturday April 8 , 2017, has been set aside for the Mock UTME. To seamlessly achieve this, the Board has suspended all activities relating to the registration exercise in any CBT centre from 8pm today, being Friday April 7 2017 and to resume on Monday April 10 2017.
“There will be no sale of forms, registration and biometric capturing at the various centres in which the Mock Examinations are taking place. This however does not preclude any candidate from going to Banks, NIPOST, Interswitch or Remita to procure pins for registration on Monday. This is to prevent any disruption of the process and conduct of the Mock Examination.
“The Mock Examinations are intended to familiarise our candidates with the CBT systems and generally forecast the challenges that may be faced ahead in order to proactively address them. It is just a rehearsal for us and candidates who want to experience the situation to expect during the actual examinations.
“Therefore, the sale of forms, registration and biometrics at CBT centres are to be suspended from
8:00 p.m . today till Monday, April 10, 2017. This notice is for the strict adherence of our officers and partners throughout the federation.
“While wishing the candidates and officials participating in the examination a successful mock exercise, we once again re-assure the candidates that there is no need for worry or anxiety. In the next one week, we believe it will be sufficient to capture the remaining candidates as about 1,000,000 applicants have successful registered.
“No one will be left behind as the deadline may be extended if there are applicants who do not succeed at registering due to circumstances beyond their control.”

As the #BBNaija Housemates sat down to enjoy their rewards from the Tasks of the day, TBoss and Debie-Rise sat around to smirk at the efforts of everybody else.
The #BBNaija Housemates went into the Store Room to retrieve the bags of goodies left in there for them by Big Brother which included a bottle of champagne as well as individual packages of home cooked meals for them.
The Housemates had been contemplating cooking some indomie noodles for supper but the delivered delicacies immediately put the idea to rest.
As the #BBNaija Housemates took their meals and sat down to enjoy the food, Debie-Rise took her food outside to the garden and she was followed by TBoss.
As the pair sat down to eat, they immediately seemed to share a congratulatory smirk.
TBoss told Debie-Rise that she had done exactly what they both had spoken about earlier, which was to sabotage the Tasks as much as possible in order to ensure that the team would not reach a meaningful points tally.
During the course of the Tasks, the #BBNaija housemates had aimed to chase down a minimum total of 43 points in order to unlock the benefit of being able to save one of the Nominated Housemates.
The two ladies had however suggested to each other that if this points tally was reached, it still wouldn’t benefit either of them because the clique would ultimately save one of their own; which in this case would be either of Bally or Marvis.
TBoss and Debie-Rise joked at the fact that neither of the four remaining #BBNaija housemates were able to decipher their antics and they appeared visibly pleased with themselves for getting a one-up over their rivals.
As it stands, the four Nominated Housemates are still up for possible Evictions at the next Live Evictions show coming up this Sunday, and it would be interesting to see if the plans of TBoss and Debie-Rise will work for or against them.
