This thread was heating up last night, at some point I logged on and saw 85 new messages.

I took my time and read it all and I have a few observations both from the main discussion of yesterday and generally.

Ok, so some people think the thread is not achieving it's purpose, my question to those that think s‎o is, did you take your time to read the previous pages and catch up? Did you read the part where Siamia the OP specified the purpose of the thread. I applaud fourfunmi because she read all the previous pages and she made up her mind she wanted to be on the thread, I mention her because when she read it all she said so, I don't know if others did.

The OP specified that this thread was for people to mingle and talk in peace without the mud slinging and fights, cheap talk and petty behaviour that happen‎ on other threads and for me, this was the first thread I saw fit to comment on on NL, then she went on to say that in the process if anyone catches your fancy, feel free to state your intentions and move to the next level.

It's a pity the thread was brought to hook up section hence some people just walk in to drop phone numbers, bbpins and throw words around as if the women here are desperate, like it's a restaurant and you can just order up what you want, as if it's not important to create atleast a rapport first. Where are our manners, Nawa o. ‎

For those who said the thread is 'dry', I'd assume that if a thread is 'dry', you'd just do a waka pass and let the people there be (that's what I do) or if you feel it's 'dry' and you have ways to make it 'wet', instead of just talking about it, lead by example by that I mean, don't just say do it this way or that instead actually DO it the way you feel is better, if people see it as a welcome idea, they'd join in, I think that's kinda how the thread has been so far. I've seen people sit back, kick off their shoes and actually gist

Then the part about feeling the ladies on the thread form, I'd say that personally I feel that the pms some ladies ignored are pms that came from unknown monikers, when I started commenting on this thread, I got a request from a moniker I hadn't seen here, when I looked the person's NL history up, I didn't see any link, I didn't accept it I must confess‎ but then my status is different anyways. We all have our different personalities: online and real life. Some people naturally are very open, others are reserved, some people are naturally private as well and I think it should be respected. I really doubt it that people who have been conversing here will ignore pms. My point here is have a convo first at least a hi hello, so when you send a request, the lady can tell who it's from.

Besides ddshow talked about a get together and some people have indicated interest, I think it's progress, my suggestion is that ddshow actually follows through with the plan and that people turn up, that way, the purpose of the thread is being achieved.

That said, my guys in the house, if you fancy a lady here, do the needful so the ladies have somthin' somethin' to look forward to for the get together. Then let me quote toks2008, the ghost mode thingy will be unnerving for hook up. So I'd toe the line of toks2008 and say it'd be nice if people put up their pictures for a short while when they join (or even afterwards briefly on request and take it down again) for people to see them, we human beings are visual oriented. A lot of people put up the pictures on NL for the first time because of this thread, OP included. The reason I never put mine up is because of my status and I was sidelining as well.
