THINGS FALL APART CANNOT WIN NOBEL PRIZE (From What is Your take On this)
I extol the contributions of Professor Chinua Achebe in the areas of African literatures and his literary stride in the world in general. I like to comment on the misnomer concerning the Nobel prize which has been causing fuss around since the day Chinua Achebe died. The fact is that Professor Chinua Achebe had a story and he told the story to the world in order to express his feelings about the inglorious and brutal activities of the white man against his people. The truth remains that he did not write Things Fall Apart as a piece having Nobel prize in mind. Things Fall Apart was written to expose and unfold the cruelty of white man's rule against his people, and if such story was not noted down the events and all that happened during that colonial era in Igbo land would have gone down the drain like other African histories.
On the other hand, giving a Nobel prize to Things Fall Apart means a direct indictment on the rule of white man in Africa and in Igbo land in particular. How would any black African man in his right senses think that Things Fall Apart should win a Nobel prize? The last paragraph of the book sum up the whole story and the white man understood what that stands for. If Things Fall Apart wins a Nobel prize that is organized by the same people that committed the crime that the book stands against, it means that the people who are agitating for reparation from the Europe countries that manhandled Africans and their resources should be given credence and their request granted. To deprive or deny Things Fall Apart the Nobel prize is a determined act to save the face of the white man.
President Nelson Mandela said that, Things Fall Apart can break the prison walls. This implies that Things Fall Apart has won the greatest prize, because for this purpose it was written, to break the shackles, bondages, yolks of ignorance, timidity and mental slavery that beclouded the sense of reasoning of the black African people. If Africans can imbibe and inculcate the virtues and truth that is found in Things Fall Apart the life of Africans will not remain as it is even today. Upon all that Things Fall Apart stands for, we still have many gullible African politicians and government officials looting the scarce resources of Africans to the lands of the same white man, it shows that we have not learned any lessons from Things Fall Apart.
However, this page applaud the gesture of the American senators in honouring Professor Achebe in recognition of his literary works in the world. This is a big plus coming from simple minded people and is better than the Nobel prize.
This page mourns the exit of Professor Achebe, he is indeed a true Igbo man that believed so much in Igboism. A true Igbo man and Nigerian that rejected the sugar coated frivolous award from the successive Nigerian governments in protest for lack of justice, probity and accountability to the common people of Nigeria. Well to say that Jesus used Igbo for any reason is a blatant lie, people can make up any story to support their evil tendencies and sometimes to push down their demands from authority and that is being selfish. And again we have heard many unfounded stories about Jesus and even movies suggesting that He got married and all worth not. The Bible as discreet and honest as it is in telling stories should on no reason deny its audience the fact that Jesus used Igbo, this fact is very infinitesimal when compared to some heavy dirty events that took place and the Bible did not play low in describing them and making it know to its audience. If there were no prove of such in Judaism it is 100% possible that Jesus had no use of this item called Igbo. Jesus was a typical Jew and his disciples were Jews and these Jews were adamant to Jewish traditions and values.. read Galatians and the book of Acts

I think the issue to consider here is this, that the medicinal value of Igbo has not been ascertain by the Nigerian government and the health ministry therefore in Nigeria Igbo still remain an illegal thing to smoke. For that reason it is reasonable for each and everyone in Nigeria to respect and abide by the laws of Nigeria irrespective of who you are. However, some certain things that are legalize in the western world are not here because of the maturity of the people in the usage of the particular thing. The truth remain that Igbo as it were is a hard drug and is still considered a hard drug in Nigeria, and Nigerians government should be respected for their opinion on that. Therefore we should be protecting the law of the land as abiding citizens and if by any means it doesnt go down well with us the national assembly is there to welcome our amendment bill and as many that are interested can sponsor the bill period. On the other hand, I will like to say emphatically that Igbo cannot, will not and never give inspiration to speak or preach the word of God Almighty, and what I have said is the raw truth. What is happening there in Imo State is a concocted gangs that used church to hibernate their existence. Since the inception of the prosperity gospel especially in Nigeria, individually owned churches springing out here and there and making mess of the essence of what Church really is. God knows the true Church.....

Instead of thinking on how to bomb each other we should start making positive things happening in our own world. We will like to move forward anybody drawing us backward should separate from us.

Isah is not the name of Jesus... the Arabs and the Hebrews are first cousins and the language up to date inter-related. How Muslims or Koran go the name Isah as Jesus name is unfounded. We know that Jesus is a Greek language, and the real Hebrew name or Jewish name of Jesus is Yelshuwa and this name has the same meaning in Arabic langauage, and Arab Christians address Jesus by this name.

You wouldn't like to know the history of what happened at the Shia shrine ..... before saying Islam is the best religion... why do the Shia celebrate Asuna?.... Why do sunny call shia unbelievers?......why is it so that the shia do not really believe in Mohammad? what was that they discovered about him?..... if say Islam is the best religion then you have paucity of knowledge of what Islam is all about.

You cannot say Islam is the best religion...... that is funny... Islam can be judged by its foundation, I mean the founders the live they lived, I mean, the Mohammadas, The Omars, the Abubakars, the Sadiqs and how the Shia founders regards them I mean The Hassan and Hussein. what did they say about them and the book of Islam, the doctrines in it .... how is it affecting the lives of people in the world..... only by that you can say Islam is the best religion....

Jesus never asked anybody to go kill because of Him.... there is a great difference between preaching to people and coercing people with sword to believe. Anybody killing because of Christ is doing that on his own.

Any organization that fights war in the name of Christianity is fake, Christians dont fight war or kill. Because we do not fight for our God...... and moreover we did not create any soul, so how then do we destroy souls because we want to please the God that created them.... He that created them knows how to destroy them..... this is the truth.

That people claim to be Christians does not make them to.... Christians follows the real teachings of Christianity, in the same way real Muslims follow the real teachings of Islam.... and if you want to find out what the teachings of Islam is read the Koran: from chapter 5 - 9 that is the basic and fundamental that stands as the pillars of Islam, and if dont practice those fatuas (decrees) you are not a true Muslim, which means you dont believe in Islam

I don’t think that the Muslims are the problem, rather, the source of their orientation, because you can only live by what you are taught or know. So the Muslims are Muslims because of the orientation of Islam…. So the doctrine is the problem, and it is apt to say that if you want to blow off the fire you have to get to the base which is the source, if not the fire will continue to spread.

Islam does not mean peace as most Muslims claim, Islam means surrender. Peace in Arabic language is Salam. Salam malaku… peace be unto this house.

The crusaders are not Christians, these are Europe empires on adventure of conquering grounds for themselves. Christianity was not spread by means of war.. read your history very well. Unlike Islam that was spread by war and conquering people…. And that is the reason for the name Islam which means surrender or submit. Surrender to the who to the power of one the one who was coercing them to believe.

This is hilarious, you cannot separate a building from its foundation. A Muslim is a Muslim because he believed in the teachings of Islam, and what does Islam teach? Read Koran you will find out. Those who follow the teaching of Islam are called Muslim, the imbibe in its doctrines and live it out. So somebody cannot come up to bam buzz us that Islam is different from Muslim. A Muslim is a Muslim because of Islam and Islam is what it is today because of Muslims.
